I was looking for delicious fries, and I found them here along with a great burger and a server with personality.

You may be asking, Who the heck rated this? Well, it's personal. We don't go there anymore because they're mean to my family.

The waitress was very nice. The food was good, especially the French fries. Good prices.

Update: Visited with a group of 15 today. Out for a Tuesday ride on a gorgeous day. The decision was unanimous... Drifters is a great destination for good food!!! Original: Stopped in while out riding my motorcycle and was very glad I did. It's old-school home cooking at its best. Emida is a very small town, but this place had a line of cars out front, which is a good sign. Lots of seating and very friendly staff and owner. It was past lunch but I wanted breakfast, which was not a problem. Awesome meal, loved the sausage patty with just the right amount of seasoning and flavor. I'll stop in again for sure!

Brought the whole family in this time for dinner and had another good meal and good service. Everyone was full and satisfied.

The last saturday of the month prime rib feast was the greatest..

Drifters is such a special place to visit . This small, modest, and cozy little watering hole serves as the local hub of the remote and tiny little town of Emida, Idaho. Far from the day to day hustle and bustle, Drifters is surrounded by timberlands and sprawling mountains along the beautiful White Pine Scenic Biway on Idaho State Highway 6. It's a perfect place to stop in and sit down for a bite to eat check, your messages with the free Wi-Fi and maybe enjoy a friendly visit with a complete stranger, the way you might have done 50 years ago at any given Roadside Diner in rural small town America.

In these small towns it's easy to just pass thru and not stop but this is a must stop and exactly what you'd expect to find, simple menu, great food!

My Aunt and Uncle have been telling me about this place "just up the road" and "they just love it". For years. Finally, they took me for dinner. The salmon was perfect and the corn was so buttery! The red wine was very good as well. Cheryl is a no nonsense down to earth hostess and had us all set up before we came (we called our order ahead). I must agree with my Aunt and Uncle, I just love it!

Stopped in and had breakfast. It was phenomenal !! 🥓 bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, and franz 1906 wheat toast !! Small home town feel and service. High recommend stopping in for food if your hungry.

Stumbled onto this rustic establishment after the kindness of a stranger in St. Maries said not to waste time eating there, just go a bit further to Emida and you will not be disappointed. He was spot on, the food was fantastic, staff friendly, and it was the best meal of the ride.

A little place with great food and wonderful staff. I will return.

Great down home food, wide variety on the menu from breakfast and handmade burgers to shrimp and steak. Staff have that hospitality you can only find at a small town grill and make the quality of food you'd expect from people who take a certain pride in what they make. Also has a limited convenience store selection, with everything from beer and smokes to motor oil and windshield wipers.

OMG me and my friend stop by after work I had one of the best burgers the funniest waitress it was a great place in the middle of nowhere

Eaten here many times with only good things to say. Yesterday we made a mistake and ordered the fish basket special. I assume it was too popular so they ran out. The lunch was overcooked, fish sticks. Too bad. We enjoy the atmosphere and Waite staff. We will return but be suspicious of the "special."

The ladies that served us help make Mother's Day as special as it needed to be for our number one. Thank you for your selfless service on that special holiday.

This is the type of place we wished we stopped in sooner! Drifters has great burgers, hand-cut fries, cold beer and delicious homestyle cookin' (the grilled cheese and chicken tenders are my favorite!) The service and staff are always welcoming; a real community gem--some of the best food and friendliest faces around!

It's a great place to eat vary friendly

The ambiance was cool, the place was very clean, but the service was a bit lack luster. We waited several minutes to be seated while one employee tapped away on their phone. There was always a group of employees gathered off to the side, talking, while we tried to get any one of their attention that they brought the wrong beer, only to be told the can looks the same as the one I wanted, nevermind the words written on it were completely different. After we finished eating and had the staff bring a box for us, it took another 20 mins (not kidding) to receive the bill, again because of employee gatherings. The staff are excellent communicators, just not with their customers, only with each other. The food was pretty darn delicious, despite the slow service. Large portions and low-ish pricing are also nice.

Posted 3 years ago that this was a cute little place with a great burger, since then, we've eaten there several times & have really kinda fallen in love with the place. They still have a great burger & fries, but we were there one hot busy Sunday night, a sweet waitress names Brittney was manning the floor & man was she busy, it was crazy, but she was working it, very patiently, at fast as she could & very efficiently, with a smile on her face, I was impressed. Leo got a chopped beef steak, homemade mashed, peas, a salad & dinner roll, best he's ever eaten he claims, I ordered a pizza to go, you have to wait 30 minutes for the pizza, but it's totally worth the wait. It has kinda thick crispy crust, soft on the inside, good sauce, ample ingredients & a good amount of cheese. Very satisfying. Ice cold Mike's hard while ya wait in an authentic side road bar & grill, nothing fancy decor wise, but nice staff, good menu, great food, what else do you need? Apparently not much as it's always full! 😊

Service was great, definitely not a fast food restaurant. Meat was real(suprisingly that is a thing now). Not a lot of options for a low carb lifestyle, unless you don't mind pulling the buns off(or ordering it that way). There is a few good options though. The food was delicious and will definitely go again and again.

There food may be priced a bit steep but you get your fill an its made fresh to order with amazing taste to top it all off
