Love the Atmosphere, raw brick walls. Every waitress ready and willing to refill your cup and help you out. First time there, and we will return.

We had breakfast from here this morning. We had biscuit and gravy, corn beef hash, French toast, eggs, and sausgae. Everything was just ok and no syrup was sent for the French toast but we did get 15 packs of ketchup for some reason.

The menu describes their burgers as Legendary so I was expecting the mushroom Swiss burger to at least be decent and similar to picture on menu. Unfortunately, the pattie was clearly from a bag of frozen preshaped ones and had no flavor and a grainy modified soy protein texture. I was expecting a nice crust on the outside like the picture but it was soft and uniform throughout making it remind me of a burger from a little league game where one old guy is throwing frozen patties on the grill. Steak and shake is five star compared to D’s and if I were the owner I would not advertise the mushy burger as legendary if anything it’s common boring and forgettable. I can’t say anything about the side salad except they give you a Ken’s packet of dressing- apparently they are not setup to make salad dressing at this restaurant as it would require mixing several ingredients together. Overall D’s gets a straight D- and is in the words of our dear leader- Sad.

Lovely place, a great atmosphere. Their service was superb. I tried for the first time Turkish coffee ☕️ it is so good and you drink it a company by a chocolate, it was so good I bought chocolate to take home. I was so lucky that the owner was there, and she told my husband and I about the traditional Turkish coffee she showed me how they read the cup after you finish drinking the coffee. The food came pretty fast, and it was pretty good. Love the place. It looks like we found a new place for us to enjoy. Defenetly a place to visit.

I truly enjoyed dining here. The owner greeted us then directed us to sit where we chose. She took our order, as we ate, I asked her about the coffee, she then explained the tradition of Turkish coffee. It was delicious! I will definitely return to dine again here.

I ate several times when I lived on my sailboat at Regatta Point. The people here are some of the nicest people I have ever met. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. If you are in or near Palmetto you gotta stop for breakfast. UPDATE; I recently stopped in for breakfast after being gone for a a year or so and nothing has changed. The food and especially the people are still the friendliest I've ever found in Palmetto. I love this place and the food.

This is my go to order while working at my shop downtown on Uber eats ,It is always perfect. I’ve never been to the restaurant but if the To go order that sits in a Uber for 20 minutes is as good as it is I’m sure it’s even better in-house !!

This is our new go-place for breakfast. Everyone was very accommodating. The food was fresh and very good. As always....the best bagel breakfast sandwich in the area! Aug. 1, 2024. Still the best bagel sandwich EVER! All of the people who work at D's are always very pleasant and attentive. D is wonderful!!

Great place. Open & very clean. I loved the veggie omelet made to perfection; the coffee was rich & flavorful. The fries were tasty but not fresh or hot. I know fries for breakfast; I will get the potatoes next time. Also I must add how delicious the burger was. I haven't had a burger in years and this was top notch. They have Turkish coffee, yummy. The service was exceptional, beautiful ladies from Brazil (?) or Latin America, that know how to make you free at home...

So far the best place breakfast place I’ve been to all year. Pancakes, eggs over medium all cooked to perfection. Service was 10/10, and we fit our food in a timely manner. Definitely want to come back with more friends and family.

Today was our 1st time eating here. Wow!! Excellent!! Panini and boardwalk fries were perfection, hubby loved the strawberry and banana pancakes and kiddos got stuffed on the breakfast tacos. Can't wait to return and work our way through their menu. Everyone was soooo kind and welcoming. It felt like visiting with family ❤ And D, the owner, came over and we were able to meet her. Such a darling lady. Love her!! Lastly, the American flag placed in the front by the windows - a great touch to the homey atmosphere. Love to see patriotism and honoring of our cherished veterans 🇺🇲

This was a great place. We had a party of 10 and were seated quickly for our meal after church. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My husband got the monti crisco. It was a small sandwich. It didn't compare to the other meals, but it was good. I had the Mediterranean salad and got the grape leafs appatizer to put on it. It was wuite good. The wait staff was excellent. The place is quite large inside. The inside tables are comfortable placed so you can move around easily. Street parking can sometimes be hard to find.

Food wasn't as good as expected. Burger didn't seem quality meat. French fries were broken into tiny bits and over cooked. Disappointed

We had ordered breakfast here. Food was good and staff was courteous. Natalie made sure we had everything we needed. From the outside the restaurant looked a little sketchy but as soon as you stepped inside it was very nice. I added my son’s pancakes in the picture, minus the eyes and smiley face since he ate those literally as soon as he got the plate lol

I first found D's when I visited the area three years ago. Since then, when ever I come to Palmetto I make it a point to eat here several times a week. The food is great, the service is very good. They are very friendly, the owner is wonderful. When I visit, I feel part of the family. We have primarily been there for breakfast, but have sampled the lunch menu. A must ti visit.

It's a diner like place. Staff is accomodating and friendly. Food is okay, nothing to rave about or rant against. They have a full bar, indoor and outdoor seating. Decor is aging, tables , we were told, are going to be refinished (they were tacky/sticky even after cleaning). I had breakfast there, indoors to get in the A/C. I know many places nearby do better on other meals, but they weren’t open for breakfast.

If you’re in the Bradenton area, I wouldn’t just highly recommend D’s — I’d absolutely insist you go! My family and I have been to Bradenton for vacation three years in a row, and a highlight of our trip each and every year has been eating at D’s. Every dish I’ve tried — both breakfast and lunch — has been excellent. I’ve included a photo of the delicious Denver Skillet I had this morning. The prices are affordable, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is great. Since our last visit, they’ve added a cute gift shop adjoining the restaurant. So if you’re looking for a great breakfast, lunch, or both, D’s Breakfast and Burgers is the place to go!

My husband had the western omelet which was raving about how good was and I had the regular bacon and eggs which was very good. I'd recommend try it out.

This place is a favorite of mine. The food comes out quick and it tastes like grandma made it. I got the basic country boy breakfast.

My son and I came here for breakfast to celebrate his completion of finals and the start of summer break. The food was great, atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, servers were very friendly and attentive. We'll be back!

Lovely little place. They have a small store when you come in so you can purchase small specialty items. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich and real hand cut fries. Perfect. The sandwich was quite large and more than enough for me to have half of it for lunch the next day. The leftovers were as good as the original and left me wanting more. I will go back and am already recommending my friends give it a try.

Loved this place. We grabbed breakfast here a Saturday morning, they were so busy but still managed to provide prompt, friendly service. The food was excellent and I treated myself to a Turkish coffee which D took the time to explain some fun cultural information about it. Highly recommend anyone stopping in to enjoy a meal here!

My family is here from Ohio. We had a large group of 13. We were seated instantly. The service was fantastic and the food was great. The owner was very hospitable. I would definitely recommend.

Worst grits I've ever eaten. The cheesy grits were terrible. It was nasty. As far as grits go, I won't get them again. But the biscuits and gravy was ok.

Had breakfast here for the first time. Greay food and very quick service. Ordered our food and was out in less than 10 minutes if that long. Portions are large and taste great. I had the breakfast tacos and my wife had the chicken fried steak and eggs. We will definitely be back. Gonna try their burgers next time.

The atmosphere is decent though everyone is seated closely Over 20$ a person for a breakfast with 2 eggs n a tiny orange juice, a little crazy and my meal in the pic is the hungry man lol The sausage patties were the skinniest sausages I ever seen. The biscuits were small and my girls eggs had runny whites, over medium I will say the sausage gravy n biscuits was pretty delicious. The hash browns are real just a tad bit dry. The way they have it set up when you pay is basically you tip them 17% minimum which brought our total over 40$ for 2 little plates. You have to click other to type in a different tip while they stare you down. I didn't leave hungry but I was unimpressed and 4 dollar orange juices were the smallest cups I ever seen in a restaurant. I'd have to say waffle house was better

Used to be great place to go after church! Now portions are greatly reduced with higher prices, maybe 1/4 cup of hash browns with breakfast, no coffee refill even after asking. Management should go across town to Pancake and Burgers and see how meals and service is done! Oh and my bill was 21.69, gave 101.69 should get back 80. Got back 77.60 ???

Stopped by for lunch this week to try D’s out. The place is located in a cute little area, and you walk into their gift shop. A sign indicated to seat yourself. The decor inside was nicely decorated and felt like a historic building with brick walls. Their menu is vast, with a mix of traditional and modern breakfast and lunch items. We chose to try the pineapple burger and monte cristo sandwich. Service was fine, and you could tell it is a family run restaurant. Once ordered, food was served timely. In terms of food taste, the burger was good. It was juicy and seasoned well, but the bun would have been better toasted (it was practically crumbled on the bottom). The fries were decent, although needed seasoning and to be crispier (they were mainly soft). We enjoyed the monte cristo sandwich more though. It was packed with meat and was delicious. The only complaint is that the French Toast was a bit soggy. Overall, we’re still glad to have stopped by to try this place out.

It's unfortunate that I don't live nearby. This is not the typical Florida American diner food. This is American food that is well made. The fries are so yummy, and I don't typically eat fries. The veggie wrap was piping hot and delicious. Very good price as well. The space is small and lovely. The hostess is the owner who was very charming.

Great spot in original palmetto. D has been there for a while now. Always been good. The hospitality is always on point. Food is not only fast, but correct! Always a favorite.

Don't judge a book by its cover. From the outside it looks like nothing but from the inside it's spacious and affordable. Food was great with large quantities. The staff was so friendly. They brought desserts to our friends who were celebrating birthdays. All in all a great place to eat.

I made D's a go-to stop whenever lunch time had me in Palmetto or even downtown Bradenton. Probably ate there 10 times before I moved out of state. (Looking for a replacement near my new digs) First visit: A friend & I stopped in on Sunday, May 1, 2022, after season (tourist season) is over. At 11 am they were slammed and had a twenty minute wait. A couple of big parties will do that. And different than most establishments around, they appeared fully staffed. Every one was friendly and patient. The menu is broad and has great descriptions & lots of pictures. I would've been happy with nearly everything on it which made the deciding that much harder. Our order was taken quickly & delivered the same, exactly as expected. The food was delicious! Short of licking the plates, we cleaned them. We will definitely be back here, have to try the burgers next.

I am from Turkiye, and we are so used to have mediterranean taste, this place not only welcomes us for the best service taste and also makes us feel home. They always have ways of having fun with different parties as well... Great spot for grabbing easy delish food and getting the best smile !!!

Wow factor as u walk in the door. Beautiful decorated. Atmosphere warm friendly welcoming . Serve was attentive and order was perfect. The food was brought out in a way a chef would bring u food and detail oriented . I can't nit say enough good Things about this place.

We love going to D's! We pretty much go every Sunday morning. The food is always great! The service is sometimes hit or miss but we still love it. The owner is one of the most kindness and sweetest person that you could meet and she always makes sure everyone leaves happy!

Nice little dinner in historic area of Palmetto, FL. I had avocado toast which seemed to have a lot of packaged guacamole and not actual fresh avocado. But, it was good. They’re more known for their pancakes so I’ll probably go for them next time.

Stopped in here with a friend after yoga class for lunch. I wanted to see what the prices were like for breakfast, to see if it was a candidate to move our Monday morning Emmaus reunion group meeting to, instead of IHOP, who's now charging $4 for coffee! I got the Cobb salad with the meat in a Togo box. I'm always curious to see what I get when I say that. You'd be surprised. Sometimes I just get the meat on the side, not in a Togo box. Once I got a totally deconstructed salad with every ingredient in its own little bowl (boy, they were a little paranoid about what constituted "meat"). They got it right here. They gave me a TON of turkey and some bacon in a small Styrofoam Togo box, which I took home to my husband. The salad itself was SMASHINGLY delicious! I practically licked the bowl. I also ordered a side of fries to share with my friend, who also got a salad... And there was nothing left in her bowl, either. The fries were spot on! OMGosh, have you ever had fries that were just so good you couldn't stop eating them? Yup... That was these. They're the skin on medium skinny fries and they were salted perfectly (see photo). I definitely recommend this place. We stopped at the little gift shop and bought some hand made essential oil products, too. My friend got some perfume and I got some dry oil and deodorant. Sniff sniff... Yum!

Great time, but waitress did not speak English. How is that possible?

Food was standard breakfast fare, but the service was excellent and the atmosphere nicer than other breakfast restaurants in the area like Butterfield's. The inside has nice wood walls and floors and more warm than others as noted above. I would not necessarily go for the food, but much nicer service and atmosphere.

Done if the best breakfast we've had in Florida! Highly recommended checking them out.

We were in town for a wedding and ended up going here for breakfast all 4 mornings. The food was great. The Mediterranean omelet and skillet were delicious. The staff was super friendly starting as soon as we stepped in the front door. And the mimosas were good also.
