This place was so amazing. We pickup my in-laws mail in Palmetto at the post office about 250 ft up the street, we had seen the place and decided to try it. Glad we did. Huge menu, great drinks, fresh seafood, sushi was very good too, it was very unique that they had a sushi bar in a new york, new england themed restaurant with tons of favorites. They also have tons of fresh fish prepared many ways. We will definitely be back.

The seafood was amazing. Our server was friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonably for quality of food. We will definitely return.

Key West meets Palmetto. A cool seafood shack vib with great food and outstanding sushi! We had the stuffed clams and sushi. The "beauty roll" is over the top with a generous serving of very fresh tuna. (prices are very reasonable as well).

Want a Keys quality seafood experience but don't want to drive? Clam House is where it's at!! Everything was great. 20 mins from Ruskin. Started with Joe Island Garlic Clams and Fish Dip that was superb. We had a bloodlust for Sushi, recommend the Sushi Deluxe. The Conch, Yellowtail and the Super Spicy Tuna were standouts. Finished with smelt roe and quail egg 😋 Can't wait to come back to work the other side of menu, thinking Spiny Lobsters and Thai Fry Fish. Valentino and Staff were great!

2 Couples out for dinner. We've been trying to find some new places, different from our regular haunts. The food was ok. Though I may give it another try. 2 of us ordered our fish "the clam house way". I would definitely say, not a fan. We ordered clams for an appetizer and felt like they were all breading. Portions we good.

Unexpectedly delicious sushi. I got there right around when they opened at five and by the time I was leaving the place was packed and I can see why. The service was quick and friendly, and both the sushi and other foods were delicious. They should really consider adding sake wine to their menu, but they did have a large selection of sushi, fish, and other foods.

Wow! While visiting from out of town, we were on the hunt for a top-notch seafood restaurant without a long wait. After checking Google, we decided on The Clam House based on its stellar reviews, and I’m so glad we did! The food was absolutely DE-LICIOUS! We were seated right away, which was a huge plus. My husband ordered the blackened grouper, and it was fresh, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I opted for the grouper nuggets, which were lightly breaded and fried to perfection. The coleslaw was fresh and flavorful, and the hush puppies were really good! My Pain Killa cocktail was made with just the right amount of alcohol. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner on our way out, and he was gracious and kind. Don’t be deceived by the unassuming exterior of the restaurant – the food inside is amazing! Skip the long lines and overpriced, bland fare at the tourist traps on AMI. Instead, dine where the locals do for great food, generous portions, and reasonable prices!

The Sushi, Sea Scallops and Hush Puppies are AMAZING!

Large helpings of good food. Red Snapper and Flounder were great. Cucumber salad was awesome. Cecilia C did a great job for us.

Although fried did not have a thick coat of breading, more like "lightly dusted" (haddock, shrimp, scallops, and clams. Great food, Great service, great prices.

We visited the Clam House two Saturdays ago. I thought I knew all the best kept secrets in the area but I was seriously wrong. I love the casual beach/ shore/sea atmosphere and decor. It was comfortable and relaxing. I told my husband I wished we lived in Palmetto because this would be my local bar when I needed to unwind. I tasted everyone’s food in our group of four. I agree with my husband that the salmon was the best I’ve ever tasted. That said, I am going to order the grilled scallops again. Soooo goooood. Another pleasant surprise- the cucumber salad. I’m not a cucumber gal but my friend convinced me to order it. It had an Asian flair that is hard to describe. My husband hates cucumbers but wants me to try to recreate the dressing. One last comment - the drinks are not watered down. The staff and owner were so engaged. They truly cared. My husband was so impressed with the hustle of the bus boy that he gave him a separate tip on the way out. I never leave reviews but wanted to share my experience because I can’t stop thinking about going back. (I just reread my review and realize that it sounds like I’ve been paid to write it. I wasn’t. Everyone may not feel like I do but there is a reason the Clam House there is a reason it is always busy. Thank goodness for the bar while we waited for our table. )

A little too spendy for the experience. It gets an all-around OK, for food, service, wine list, etc, but it has "Anna Marie on the water" prices.

First time dining there and it was great. Maria at the bar definitely enhanced our experience, she was magnificent. I got the Surf & Turf with scallops. The steak was cooked perfectly and delicious. The scallops were a good size and equally as good. I will be going back.

Last night was our 2nd time going to dinner at the Clam House! Our waiter Tyson was wonderful and our food was delicious!! I took my son and his wife and 4 grandchildren there the first time and everyone loved their dinners The service was great! We would highly recommend this restaurant for fresh seafood! The portions were big!! The steamed clams with white wine was scrumptious! The fried clams and hush puppies were wonderful! My husband got the clam House Platter grilled . They prepare it any way you want and let you make substitutions! My new favorite seafood restaurant!

Order fried haddock tonight. 1 piece that just was insufficient in mass, thin as an xray, heavy on breading and obviously frozen on a factory ship and dropped in a fryer. No taste but at least it was expensive🤯. Was enthusiastic about trying the restaurant but it just was not worth it. Labor is expensive and food costs high but if a customer does not return does it matter if you saved a little on food quality? Fries also were skimpy, cole slaw adequate. Lots of friendly kids waiting on people ready to help. If the restaurants skimp on quality and portion, I will just go back to Costco and buy there. Sorry but $65 wasted.

Our waitress was very nice. Drink was good and my Thai fry fish would have been delicious had it had some type of seasoning. My daughter had the Caesar wrap and she said it was good. The hush puppies were tasty as well. We sat outside and it was nice overall.

The food was excellent. We ordered sushi rolls, the tuna nachos, and the grouper sandwich. It was all exceptional. We brought our three little kids and even they loved the food! Great service too. We can’t wait to come back

Very busy place, but fast service and delicious food. Ordered simple California Roll, fried fish, and broth clam chowder. It looked questionable at first sight, but the taste of the chowder was too good to stop 😆.

Clam House is our local restaurant go to! We love the staff, food and service. The owner always makes you feel welcome! It’s great to have a family owned restaurant in our community that we can go to when we have had a long day at work and do not want to cook at home but want fresh local cuisine.

Food was ok. Service kinda slow. Waitress friendly at beginning but mixed up an order & advised I did not order WHAT I ORDERED. Ignored us the rest of dinner but when check time came she was all smiles & thank u's. Had to wave down a bus boy for more drinks. Probably wouldn't go back. There are as good or better fish places around here.

You won't get a view Of the sea but you will get some tasty seafood at the Clam House. I usually get the seafood platter with the fish, shrimp. Fried clams, scallops and more for a very reasonable price..They also have a sushi/ raw bar serving up some very nice dishes...good value

Best whole belly clans and I'm from New england

This place is awesome. Their fish spread was excellent, and I had a shrimp wrap that was great! Didn’t try any sushi, but maybe next time :) all the staff were super nice too. Can’t wait to come back.

As a former New Englander, I was very happy to see Whole Belly clams on the menu! They were well seasoned and fried perfectly. The Mussels and the Shrimp and Grits were delicious as well. The staff was very friendly, and Cecelia our server was right on top of things! We will be back and bringing folks with us. We are going to try the Sushi next time!

Fabulous fresh local fish and delicious hush puppies, fantastic sushi (!), great bar and convivial old Florida atmosphere.

Made reservations but still had to wait about a half hour to get seated. Food was great. Very noisy and very busy. But worth the wait.

Our bartender, Cherokee, was amazing. She was busy but took the time to greet us and made sure our every need was taking care of. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere and the food was just incredible and unique. Highly recommend!

Went on Valentines day, and inspired of that, did not have to wait long to get a table. Food was great, service too. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits, coconut shrimp and definitely the hushpuppies!

The The best seafood and sushi in town

A great local, old school place off the beaten path. We arrived shortly after opening (5:15) on a Friday night and the parking lot, bar and restaurant were packed. Luckily we were seated immediately outside. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our server Susan was fabulous and right on top of things. I had the blackened Mahi, Cheesy Grits & Cole Slaw. The fish was fresh, cooked just right and served hot. The draft Beer was cold and fresh! Do yourself a favor and stop in!

I love the new remodel. The restaurant fits right in with the tropical theme. We we at The Clam House with 5 other people, five different meals and all were excellent. We will sure be back!

Our first time here and we will be back often! Food was fresh. Sushi was beautiful and delicious! Scallops melt in your mouth! The staff were friendly and attentive. A bit of a wait, but Friday night prime time we expected it. Well worth the wait! I am so happy we tried it. Thank you Clam House!

Old school Florida vibe with modern touches. Clam Strips were incredible but the sushi was the surprise favorite from our group. Was here prior to the remodel and every aspect of the experience has been elevated. Will definitely be back!

We live in Parrish but are often in Bradenton and AnnMarie Island Found this little gem on our way back from a beach day and have been back twice Food is delicious portions are generous drinks are good and not over priced Staff is welcoming busy place for a “hidden gem” if this establishment was on the Island close to the beach the prices would be double!!! First time dining in, it was PERFECT! Loved the food and the service from the owner and Ms Christie, our waitress, was awesome! We will definitely stop by again and refer them to our relatives and friends. Felt kind of scared to be eating outside but the owner definitely made sure we felt safe and comfy.

We are in visiting from Ohio and read all the reviews for The Clam House and decided to celebrate my husband's birthday there last night. We highly recommend stopping in if you are near by, from the food to the service to the atmosphere, it is hands done one of the best places we have eaten at in Florida. Our server Christina was AMAZING!! She went above and beyond for our table and really made the evening special. Make sure you request Christina next time you stop in!

My shrimp had a very fishy taste, which is not normal. Hubby had shrimp and cheese grits..said no cheesy taste in grits and had some liquid in it that had a vinegar taste. Waitress service was excellent. 2nd time visited there and didn't care for food either time.
