The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. However, the tablecloth on the table was not clean, so it was a bit uncomfortable.

So, so. From beginning to end… Oysters were great. Wedge salad is not even close to a wedge. Chopped lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes, some bacon and drowned in blue cheese dressing. Steak was well cooked but lacked the flavor of a $60 steak. Au gratin potatoes are boiled potatoes drenched in a gooey cheese sauce. Truffled mac and cheese was very runny. Service was great, good wine offerings. Not being a whiny diner, just an honest assessment.

My husband and I had an amazing experience at Eddie V's last night. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the surf and turf special , and the service was top-notch. Our waiter, Nick, was very attentive and made excellent recommendations and also went above and beyond to get me a side of the lobster mash potatoes !The ambiance was perfect for a relaxing date night out!!!! Thanks Nick for making our night so special :)

Hands down my favorite restaurant chain. The service is amazing. The food is incredible. They made my birthday special and had a card signed by the staff.. just wow. I recomend the seabass and mac and cheese. Their butter cake is great too. I wish I could afford to come more often lol..

Eddie V’s service was amazing. I have to say, I have had a lot of oysters in my life and Eddie V’s by far had the best ones. I had the Tomahawk steak for dinner and it was great. Looking forward to eating there again.

I celebrated a monumental birthday at Eddie V’s and the food was delicious. The crab cake melt in your mouth and the crab fried rice was amazing. I definitely will go back. Great atmosphere

Eddie V's is definitely a great experience. The food is good, the service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is great. I've been a few times and have enjoyed it each time. The wine recommendations are always on point. It can get a bit loud sometimes but that doesn't take away from the experience. If you're looking for a quiet dinner then this may not be the spot for you. Other than that, this place is a can't miss.

Simply amazing food and great service.

I spent $90 of a seafood tower and it was disgusting . NO FLAVOR no butter . I had to ask for salt , lemon , butter. Anything to give it flavor . It wasn’t seasoned at all. The presentation was nice and service was decent . I had to hunt down my waiter … eventually I had to ask the bar tender for service . The only thing that made up for it was the banana cake !

The manager Steven was excellent at handling a issue we had. The food was excellent the atmosphere was nice with the live band. The parking is difficult if you have a handicap but the do offer valet service free but might be a little wait. Above all I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Bravo

My family and I visited Eddie V's on July 13th for my grandmother's 91st birthday. While my husband and I have been to Eddie V's several times this was my grandmothers first time. We were seated and greeted by our waiter Brock M., Brock made this dinner truly memorable, it is not too often these days while dining out that you come across someone who truly loves their job, is knowledgeable, and cares about the experience they are providing. Brock answered all of our dinner questions, was attentive, and even kept my little one engaged and happy! Our order consisted of 2 parmesan sole's, a 10-oz filet, Cesar salad, BLT salad, asparagus, Au gratin potatoes, and chicken fingers and fries for my little one. everything was DELICIOUS and fresh. then for desert we ordered a chocolate cake, ice cream and cookies, as well as the birthday girl being treated to bananas foster! to sum it up this dinner was truly amazing and Brock helped everything go right, Thanks Brock!

It's a very good restaurant, but it is a bit over-hyped in terms of quality of steak (I know they specialize in seafood) and the flavor of the seafood like the crab-stuffed gulf shrimp. It was good but for a dinner in that price class, I'd go to Bern's.

Best high end seafood in Tampa. The best thing about Eddie v is the consistency and the overall attention to details. Excellent mix drinks and the seabass & crab fried rice are must have every time.

I recently dined at Eddie V’s and had an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The ambiance was perfect, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu offered a variety of delicious options, and each dish was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. Our server, Romain, was excellent—attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. The valet parking attendant was amazingly polite and nice, making the start of our evening smooth and pleasant. Additionally, the singer from the band "Off the Cuff" was so sweet and sang happy birthday to me, adding a special touch to an already wonderful evening. I normally don’t celebrate my birthday and made the reservation on a whim. Now, I want to come back next year and do it again. But I will definitely be back very soon. Overall, Eddie V’s provided an unforgettable dining experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch restaurant.

My girlfriend and I came here for our first time for a casual date night. The service was fantastic, my girlfriend had a dairy allergy & they were very knowledgeable about their menu & accommodating for her. The food was amazing, my girlfriend got the halibut and I got the salmon, both dishes were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing!

The cuisine offered here is truly remarkable. The high-quality food is consistently prepared to perfection. Considering the value for money, the prices are reasonable and justified. My personal favorites are the parmesan sole, crab fried rice, and lobster mashed potatoes. I make it a point to visit on Friday nights to enjoy the exceptional live music by "Off the Cuff." Their talent is extraordinary and well worth experiencing. Additionally, I appreciate the Monday night performances by "La Lucha."

I am giving five stars. The food was amazing and everything was very tasty. The service was also at the highest level. The only thing I don’t recommend is sitting next to the live music, as it was too loud and made conversation difficult.

I’d like to preface this review by saying our wait staff and food was excellent. My wife and I came in looking to have a great dining experience at the restaurant. Our reservation for the dining room was at 7:30 and we wanted to get there early so we could have drinks at the bar. When we walked into the bar area around 6:00, we found that about 90% of the seating area around the actual bar had “Reserved” placards in front of the chairs. We saw two open chairs and walked over to ask the bartender if we could sit there. She told us it was reserved and pointed to the placard. We saw that there were open high tops in the bar so we spoke to the hostess and asked her if she could seat us there for drinks. She told us the only way she would seat us there was if we gave up our reservation in the dining room. We did not want to do that because we were looking for a nice dining experience. A lady behind us told us they were being seated and we could have their place at the bar. We thanked her and walked over only to find that their seats were now placarded “Reserved”. We asked the bartender if we could sit there and she asked how long we would be staying. We told her our reservation was at 7:30, and she said that it was fine because the seats we wanted were reserved for 8:00. She subsequently removed the placard and we sat down. Once we received our drinks we asked the bartender what we could do different next time so we could have drinks before dinner. She told us that most of the people sitting in the “Reserved” spots know the bartenders and have their phone numbers. They will text the bartender that they are coming in and they will reserve seats at the bar for them. I have a few issues with the system Eddie V’s has in place. This defeats the whole idea of having a bar at a restaurant. Sitting at a bar has always been a first come first serve area. Having most of the bar area reserved cheats the majority of the customers out of a good dining experience, which is why they came to the restaurant. Secondly, finding out that there was nothing we could have done different to change our experience was completely disheartening. We shouldn’t have to know a bartender and posses their phone number to be able to sit at the bar. My wife and I enjoy going out and eating at nice restaurants. While we may not do that 3-4 times a week, when we do, we have no problem spending $600-700 on that experience. Because of what happened we felt like we were viewed/treated like customers that DO NOT matter. It completely ruined our dining experience and we would probably not return.

Fabulous place! Loved the Seafood Tower. Lobster Bisque. Crab Cake! Steak was incredible! Sides, Brussel Sprouts were crispy, Cheesy Lobster Mashed Potatoes divine, Fried Rice and Desserts, Bananas Foster, Creme Brulee and some Chocolate thing with Ice Cream...

From the very first time I dined at Eddie V's I have love loved it ! This time we try the one in Tampa (we usually go to the one in Orlando) I love how it was dimmed making it more romantic. We sat in one of the private rooms to celebrate our 5th year anniversary. Jesus a d all of the staff were wonderful and the food ... the food ! The caviar 10/10, the filet mignon and lamb chops 10/10 but their lobsters have always been cooked just right and taste delicious!!

Went there had lunch. The signs were good the potatoes and asparagus and we can't mess that up salad was okay. What are the steak medium well told him what a little pink. Couldn't find pink anywhere in a steak it was cooked well done so is my sons. But since we're on somebody else's tab just went ahead and ate it and then complain or send it back. Waitresses for cool good service. Au gratin potatoes are good. Salad n asparagus okay I mean you can't mess those up.

What a wonderful experience. The restaurant is well appointed and welcoming yet definitely gives off a high end quality vibe. Everything we had was delicious, fresh and timed perfectly so we didn't feel rushed. Stand outs were the crab cake and crab fried rice. Only slight disappointment was the lobster bisque. A bit bland and watery. Overall a great place for romantic date or to celebrate a special occasion.

Excellent service, food was delicious and the resturant has a nice ambience. We went there on a Tuesday evening for a birthday dinner. The staff took extra care and pre decorated our table for the bday guest. Although they are pricey, I definitely felt we got our money's worth.

An overall fantastic experience. William was our waiter and did a phenomenal job. When I ordered the Chilean sea bass, he suggested I have it prepared like the sole, parmesean panko crust, skillet seared with lemon butter on the side so it will remain crispy. Homerun! Everyone enjoyed the food and the service was spot on. If I had to give one critique, the place can get extremely loud. You very well may end up in a shouting match with your waiter just to communicate.

Great place to eat surf and turf! Lots of see seafood options. If you have trouble reading the menu I would recommend using your phone to light it up. If the font is too small you can ask the waiter to borrow some reading glasses. The mains do not come with sides so i recommend ordering a few for the table. We were too full for dessert but I am sure it would also be tasty. If you want to propose to your girlfriend this might be the place to do it. One young couple had an exciting night while we were here.

I was a huge fan of Eddie Vs, until last night. We made reservations on OpenTable at 9pm for a birthday reservation. We received a text at 8:40 informing us our table was ready. After looking at the hours the restaurant closes at 9, so I’m confused as to their work flow of taking reservations at 9 then sending a text 20 minutes before the reservation to try to rush you in. We called the hostess to inform her we’d be there a few minutes after 9 and she says that would be fine. At 9:11, as we were pulling in, we get a call from a gentleman saying they cancelled our reservation. He said they have a 15 minute grace period and they close at 9 so they have to cancel. If it’s a 15 minute grace period then they should stick to it, and they shouldn’t take reservations at the same time they close. They obviously wanted to get out and could care less that I am a loyal patron or that it was a birthday dinner. I understand I was running late but we called and was told it was ok to still come in so the gentleman who called me back should have honored that or at the very least honor their own 15 minute grace period rather than cutting it short a few minutes.

This place is amazing, Stacy was our waitress, I hope she gets rewarded for this review. This was me and my wife's 15th wedding anniversary. There were rose petals on the table and a card. Stacy was knowledgeable and helpful with food choices, the whole experience was amazing. Look this place is expensive, so if you are reading reviews from people about the price, don't listen, if you are worried about the price, don't go, reason being, if you are worried about how much you are going to spend, you won't have a good time, stay away this isn't your place, but if you are looking for a romantic night out with your lady or man, then go, don't worry about what you are going to spend, and end your night right, if you know what I mean.

We visited Eddie V's for a special anniversary dinner. Perhaps it was a large party but it was so loud I struggled to hear our waiter. Fortunately it calmed down about halfway through and we could hear a piano playing. Our waiter was very attentive, brought rose petals to our table and had a happy anniversary message added to our dessert plates. Now for the not so great part of the experience. We ordered a seafood tower and I thought the oysters were a bit off. I figured I just didn't like the flavor of this particular species of oyster so I made no comments to the staff. Needless to say, I spent the rest of the night sick from what I assume is food poisoning from the oysters. I understand that's a risk you take eating raw seafood but for such a high price tag, I would expect top notch food safety practices.

Amazing food, and our server Brock was so great and sweet. Only negative thing I could say is that I think maybe they should be a little stricter on dress code lol.

It is sad that I write such an unfortunate review about a highly ranked restaurant in the Tampa area. My wife and I attempted to celebrate our 10 years anniversary here. What we thought would be an intimate and relaxed atmosphere was no where near what was delivered. The restaurant is extremely loud filled with business men and their trophy wifes. Our waitress was extremely non-personable and felt bothered by our presence. We ordered a seafood tower and caviar for an app and it never made it to our table. No apology offered from the waitress. We were never offered refills for our drinks. Management was made aware of the situation and how special this night was to us and referred to my wife as my girlfriend (kid you not). They picked up the bill which was nice and offered for us to come back another evening (we did). The second time was just as bad if not worse than the first. Again, waitress felt bothered by us being there (maybe because we are younger clientele?). Ordered the seabass and crab fried rice. Both lacked flavor. Was never asked how our meal was. I sadly agree with all of the lower star reviews for this place. If you have deep pockets and fake friends/partners - perfect place for you. This is a place to go if you want to try and "impress" someone who likes shiny things and doesn't like their food seasoned. You cannot hold a conversation in this place with how ungodly loud it is. If you're younger, it is automatically assumed you will be a bad tipper and the service will reflect this. There are better restaurants in Tampa. Save your money and go elsewhere.

This is one of those places where they go all out for you, especially if it's a special occasion...this is really a special occasion only type of place if your blue collar...we went for our son's high school graduation and the food was absolutely amazing. We had a reservation and we're seated immediately...our server was A1 1st CLASS! Worth every penny. There is valet though not valet only, parking is free in the adjacent parking garage. The lounge seemed very lively a d the live music was great! Thank you Eddie V's for making a great memory.

They came out so beautiful, we entered and they greeted us with nothing but smiles and five star service from beginning to end. Our table was high top seating , as you see in the photos the set up was amazing you can smell the cleanliness in the restaurant, all waiters were wearing white jackets with black ties I absolutely loved that. We all received real long steamed roses they were lavender and fresh. They had live music it wasn’t too loud , they were amazing. The food was absolutely phenomenal,we tried the caviar for the first time and even my daughter loved it , so fresh and delightful. Our waiter Daniel was so amazing he was on point with everything he even made my daughter a special drink that wasn’t even on the menu it turned out to be the best Mother’s Day dinner from start to finish they made it very special 🙏🥀🙌🙌 Definitely would recommend going here any day and especially on Mothers Day!

We had a great dinner. We sat in the wine room which was a separate area from the main dining room and it was perfect. Parker was our server and was extremely attentive along with any servers that came to the table. The bread and Caesar salad were good starters. I got one of the specials which was a Butterfish with scallops. The fish, scallops and mushrooms in the dish were cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth, but the miso sauce was a bit overly-salty. The truffled mac and cheese, Au Gratin potatoes, and asparagus are all great sides. The warm Belgian chocolate cake was really good too. We got espresso to finish off and the first time we got a double it was extremely watered down and did not taste good but Parker re-made it himself and it was much much better. I’d say the service here is a definite 10/10 and makes the experience as all of the staff seem to want to be there and it made the meal nice. I’d say it’s definitely on the pricey end and I’d rather go elsewhere if you want fish or steak specifically, but it has both if you can’t pick plus a nice ambiance so it may be worth it to you. Also it’s valet parking

I'm very "Bougie" but this was over the top even for me. It was nice but the vibe they were giving never really connected with me. I'm sure that it's more than enough for the ones that frequent Eddie V's but the pretentiousness was absurd. The food and service were great, no mistake there but it's trying to hard to be an super upscale restaurant that it just isn't....

I’m a professional businessman who travels the country and routinely patronizes Eddie V’’s for the atmosphere and hospitality. Never have I had a worse experience than at Tampa. One drink at the bar and then I was summarily overlooked and ignored. I ended up having to leave cash for a tab that was never delivered, and had to pay an Uber for another steakhouse down the road who treated me well.

Overall good experience, been here twice so now have had both seafood and steak. Ny strip was good, and was a fan of the crab fried rice! But the mac and cheese and potatoes were just ok. I'd argue plenty of other fancy restaurants in the area to come before here, definitely had a high price premium here that I didn't think met the standard.

The service, food, and atmosphere are wonderful here. They had a beautiful flower backdrop at the entry so you could take Easter pictures, which was an extra nice touch. We had a reservation and only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. Our server, Eddie, was exceptional. He made sure our dinner was fabulous. He had great cocktail and food recommendations. The courses were timed perfectly. The bread was crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. The butter had a wonderful salty flavor with something else that i couldn't figure out. They have the best crab cakes ever, and the oysters rockefellor were great. The lobster bisque was creamy, had chuncks of lobster, and it was poured at the table. The king crab was presented beautifully, tasted amazing, and was effortless to eat. They serve it already sliced open in the shell, so all you need to do is pull it out and dip it in butter. I've had King Crab at all of the top restaurants in the Tampa area, and they serve it the best out of all of them. The sides are huge and tasty. We probably could have only ordered 2 for the table of 5. The presentation of the bananas foster for dessert was the best. Thanks again, Eddie, for making our birthday celebration a memorable one!

A great place for special occasions but a little pricey.

This place is AMAZING!!! I choice this restaurant because it was my husband's birthday and he loves seafood! We arrived at our table to find it was decorated by our waitress dani for his birthday!!! The food was out of this world good! The best part though, was dani!!!! Her service made it outstanding!!!! Thank you from the depths of my heart!! We are 100% coming back!!!

I have eaten at Edfie V's a dozen times. I had dinner that last night and ordered the 22 oz ribeye $78 steak medium rare. It came out well done almost burnt. I asked for another steak and the waiter wouldn't bring me another steak. I even asked to speak with the manager and nobody ever came to our table. I spent alot of money on a steak I didn't eat. I was very disappointed in my experience at Eddy V's!

We've been to Eddie V's several times and it is consistently a great experience. The food is tasty, the service attentive, and the atmosphere sophisticated and comfortable. We especially appreciate that background noise and music doesn't disrupt our conversation as it does so many other places. We started with the crab cake appetizer which had ample crab and a nice crispy exterior. On this visit I again went with the Chilean Sea Bass. The only problem I have with it is that it's so good I haven't been willing to order anything else on the menu... yet. I recommend getting the crab fried rice to go with the sea bass. If you do, add it to the bowl the sea bass is served in so the rice can absorb some of the sauce. It's a game changer. I have an intense dislike for bananas but my family wanted the bananas foster butter cake. After they removed the bananas, which they loved, the butter cake was outstanding. It's definitely worth having, but considering the calories in it it's probably best to share.

For the price point and the high-end experience this place has and all the great food reviews I read, I expected a lot from the food they served. I ordered the filet mignon with scallops and added a side of shrimp. I was very disappointed with the food. The filet had a lot of fat and gristle— shocking!! The scallops were about the size of quarters and were overcooked to the point where they were chewy. I was there for a birthday celebration and did not want to make a big deal to disrupt our celebration. Other than the food, the entertainment was good and the wait staff was excellent.

This was my first visit to Eddie V's and I must say I enjoyed the time there. They had a piano bar and a lovely band was playing there I enjoyed that I didn't eat but next time I will definitely try the food everything that passed the bar looked amazing I noticed they had fresh oysters.

A wonderful environment to spend quality time with friends or family. Exquisite, quality cuisine!

Wow! Do yourself a favor, order the Yellowtail sashimi, the calamari, the lollipop lamb chops, amazing! The happy hour deal is GREAT. Music at the bar area was perfect. We had an all- around fantastic experience. Highly recommend.

This is the place to go if you are in the mood for authentic NY style steak and steakhouse atmosphere. The ambiance and live music really bring this establishment to another level. The food selection and varieties of wines will satisfy even the most discreet of connoisseur. Take it from a New Yorker. This is the real thing.

The decorations for my birthday celebration and the bday card is always a nice touch. Now for the food, I love the crab fried rice! We ordered crab cake full of crab and vert good. Bone in ribeye, it needed flavor and seasoning. Broccolini was flavorful and cooked perfectly, and of course crab fried rice delicious in every way. The drinks were good and so was the bananas foster for dessert. For some reason for the price I always leave feeling like the service could be better at Eddie V's. The servers are missing the extra touch of attention to detail, attentiveness and they should definitely practice less rush rush let me hurry up and get to the next table. I don't like that at all. Other than that it was a good birthday dinner.

We went to dinner for my girlfriend’s birthday. The food was delicious. Our waiter Rome, was very friendly and helpful.

Our wait dress was so inviting and very helpful when we ordered. Check on us many times if we need anything .She even checked on us after our food came. The rest of the support team were right on mark. Also, they always checked ✔️ on us. It was a wonderful Easter Dinner and evening 😋 😊 ☺️ 😍.
