Thank you!! You all went above and beyond for our rehearsal dinner on August 30. The food was excellent, drinks were fabulous, and the dessert was superb. Thank you so much for making it a fun and memorable evening.

Amazing food and you’ve got to love it when the second generation owner is serving tables and making delicious margaritas!

Eight of us for dinner tonight. Twenty minutes for drinks. Another fifteen minutes to order. Another twenty minutes for food to arrive. Food good as usual. Another half hour wait for the bill. One person in kitchen, one person making drinks and waiting on customers. Won't be long before this one closes at this rate. Sad.

Food was good and service was good.

It's not Mexican food, it doesn't have a menu with Mexican food. Don't come eat here at all, it's American food. The food had no flavor at all. The name of the place was Mexican but as soon as you see the menu it's American food. The food needs more flavor. Wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for Mexican food

To go portioning is a joke $18 semi warm main food and side in a 1.50 scoop to go box stopped serving food at 6:30pm on a weekday is this a restaurant a bar ( that closes at 8pm) or some scrubby side business report of cockroachs on Weld County food inspections

The food that was served on the hot plates was cold but the plates were hot. The beans were like dry and cold. The smothering was cold. Didn't seem like the El Charro I Used to Know.

My experience at this restaurant was terrible. There was a female owner working in the bar and seated us by throwing the menus on the table..we ordered our food..both asked to remove any garnish (lettuce..tomato..nothing extra on the hot enchiladas)..the food was served with an enormous amount of lettuce over hot enchiladas..asked for it to be replaced on one plate..female was rude and hateful to myself and young grandson telling us we didn't understand what a garnish was and walked away. This isn't the first time I've been treated this way at El Charro in recent times. It is unfortunate because my family has eaten at El Charro for years..birthdays..holidays...after work cocktails..it's sad because I have many great memories being celebrated there but I will never go back again.

When we join our friends, I enjoy the food and the atmosphere. The staff are energetic and fun. The restaurant is off a main road, but it's a one way and easy to get to.

I was really looking forward to this meal as I wanted the carnitas tacos. I've been eating carnitas most of my life, so I know good carnitas when I get them. I was very disappointed with their carnitas tacos as the meat was tough and had a lot of fat and it did not taste like carnitas. It was more like pork in Chile rojo, so sadly I had to let the waitress know about it. She was not happy when I told her, but she took it off our bill. Will never order this dish again.

First time we ate here. Great place. The host/server is very nice and very welcoming. The portion of the food seems very little, but it is a good portion. It fills you up. I really recommend this place. Very nice people.

Lady (hostess) ignored us as my wife and I walked in. Noticed she didn't smile or look at us but rather looked down and away from us. It's dark and smells musky and didn't feel welcomed. Both my wife and i felt uncomfortable so we left and went to "El Cielo" Mexican Restaurant where we were happily greeted and welcomed at the door. Fantastic well lit floor plan. They have a Cantina (bar) too. Food was amazing!

Going to family owned restaurants is something we do. We love to give them a chance to shine. My husband and I decided today was the day to visit El Charro. They didn't disappoint. The food was amazing! Fresh ingredients,hot,and ready to eat. No to mention the in house made salsa and chips. Very light yet crunchy chips,a little kick to the salsa. I had a chimichanga with curly fries on the side. Absolutely one of the best tasting foods I've had in a while. The atmosphere is calming,sweet and it doesn't make you feel like you're eating just at any old place. It has a home feel to it. If we spoke to an owner( the host) she is absolutely amazing. She doesn't make you feel like you're a burden. We will be back to eat again. Thank you for giving us an amazing lunch.

Always consistant service in a relaxed atmosphere. The food was spot on, chips are always light & crispy & my mom loved her 6 oz. Bacon-Guacamole-Burger with curly fries. Presentation was beautifully packed as a to-go order.

WOW!!!! We were pleased with our dinner. Food was delicious, service was wonderful! I was expecting our bill to be a lot higher with how amazing dinner was.

I used to love this place, but it's really gone down hill. Went on a Tuesday night (taco Tuesday) it was empty, except for one table, so understandably they only had one person working, and she was doing her best, but it was just so slow. There was a small dog just freely running around inside the restaurant. I know we all love our dogs here in CO, but it clearly was allowed to roam freely around inside, and the restaurant isn't a typical "animal" spot. The sangria was good. The tacos tasted like they were cooked a week ago. Like a lot of places, it just hasn't been as good since the pandemic.

I recall eating here years ago; however, it was a favorite at that time. Food was alright for lunch today. I may try again.

Food was delicious! Service was exceptional! And the Little Chihuahua greeting party was a nice touch. We especially appreciate it their stance against the tyranny of the government of colorado. Thank you El charro.

I have always wanted to come here just so i could finally leave a review on El Charro. I'm glad we came on Sunday. We went around 1pm and it was very dead in there. There was about 5 families total. The waitress was very fast, and the food was excellent 👌. No complaints. The reason for the 4 stars is because it felt gloomy in there. I couldn't get passed it. The patio was a little messy too. The food was like any other Mexican restaurant 🌮🌯but the waitress is REALLY GOOD at her job. Thank you for your wonderful service. She even put lids on the younger children's drinks!! It cracked me up because my boys told me the waitress said they couldn't eat more chips until their food was eaten ( I was in the restroom with my daughter at the time)! 🤭 I love her even more for that!!! ❤️❤️❤️ All in all, great experience, quick and warm food and wonderful service 💯.

The queso is amazing and the food wonderful. The staff were so nice and the atmosphere pleasant. I don't think I could ask for more.

We feel terrible about overwhelming our waitress, the restaurant didn't expect 10 of our family. The drinks and food were unexpected and delicious, the restaurant helped us create such a wonderful atmosphere and experience. I hope we can make another such gathering to El Charro. I have been going to this restaurant for 40 yrs and had a wonderful time through out the years.

Not sure why this place was empty. Food was great, margaritas were great and waitress was great! The bar area is nice and cozy. Will definitely go back!!

The best Mexican restaurant in Greeley by far. The Perfect Patron margarita is so delicious along with the Churro Tacos.

I live in the area and so does the friend I dined with. While both of us have strong ties to the surrounding area, neither of us has lived in the area long. I this testaurant found enjoyable. I felt almost as if thrown back to a better era. I liked that the food here is not somerthered in Colorado's famous green chili. I did like that it had a more Tex/ Mex flavor profile. I would like to return when the dining area is open as we were in the bar area. Our server was a bit on the ditzy side but I had a fabulous time will go again.

Realmente lo único bueno fue el personal, por desgracia, la comida no era muy buena para mí, tuve la gorditas y mi esposa la fajitas ninguno de nosotros estaba encantado con la comida, muy soso con demasiado salada. El sabor de comer granos directamente cube bouillon. El arroz estaba blanda. Pero de nuevo, el personal era muy agradable.

Love the chicken tortilla soup, and the avocado and beef tortilla, and the Charo buritto, and the taco salad.

Primero, la buena - las bebidas son siempre realmente delicioso, normalmente la margarita. Vale la pena ir para la hora feliz si no estás comiendo. Sin embargo, la comida - es bastante aburrida. No puedo decir que es malo, pero definitivamente no puedo decir que es buena.
