Stopped in for a late dinner. First time in the area. Service was super slow. Cheese dip was ok. I prefer mine chunky. Chips were good. Came out warm. The mild sauce was bland. Hot salsa had a smoked chipotle flavor, which I did not care for. My husband and I shared a plate. The rice was decent. The beans were salty. I did not like the enchilada sauce. More like a gravy. The same sauce was used on the tamale. The tamale was more masa than meat. My husband enjoyed his chicken burrito. 4 stars for atmosphere because the restaurant was clean and I really liked the decor with Talavera. Will not return.

The most amazing and authentic Mexican restaurant I've been to. And I've been to many places in the US but this place takes the cake. A wonderful chill atmosphere with amazing food and drinks. What more could someone want? Definitely stop by here if you get a chance!

Breakfast Burrito is a go to for me.

Just had a horrendous experience at this restaurant. - From the time we sat down, our server Mario had a bad attitude & treated us poorly. Besides the old/expired carnitas dinner plate & overall terrible service, we felt very uncomfortable at the end of our meal. Mario drops the check off at the table & stands there, asking if I am okay or if I have a problem, as he stares me down with a nasty look. As if he was trying to be confrontational or fight or something? I had to ask him to leave the table & that we would pay up front. - As we’re paying out up front, he proceeds to speak about us in Spanish to the 3 others. Not knowing that I’m actually Cuban and can understand the nasty/rascist things he’s saying about my girlfriend and I as we try to leave. It’s sad that we spent $90 within 35min & were treated so poorly.

Worst experience. Worst food ever. My bf took one bite and didn’t touch his plate after. The enchiladas were mushy.. We brought it home to the dogs. Idk how this place has any stars. $90 for two people and it was not worth any bit of that. My bf and I work in service industry as servers and bartenders and we were appalled. The server copped an attitude as well and made the end of the dinner very uncomfortable. Would not recommend.

They have wonderful american breakfast in the mornings and great mexican food for lunch and dinner

OLD FOOD AND MAGGOTS!!! I ordered the taco salad. It literally come out to me in about 1 minute. The shell was soggy and stale, no crisp to it. It had been pre-made for quite some time . The table next to me complained that they had a maggot in their queso dip. The server told him that it was rice, so the guy squished it, it was definitely not rice.. The food used to be good there, I don't know what has happened to it lately.

I came here for dinner and found a hair in two cups of salsa and the employee didn’t seem to care at all and just kept bringing more cups.

The El Jalisco at East Point location makes the best table side guacamole of all the locations. I drive from Crawfordville to eat at the East Point location. Great veggie quesadilla. So delicious!

Great place to eat! As I have posted previously in another post, I don't just hand out 5 star ratings. My wife and I agreed that both of our meals were flavorful and good portions. Service was definitely better than many other places that we've eaten at while out of town.

Been a while since had breakfast there but it was just as good as before. Quick, delicious, same friendly staff. You won't be disappointed. Late night breakfast on Fri and Saturday nights 11pm-3am!

Awesome food and great service. The only reason I give a 3 for atmosphere is because it felt like the AC was broken. Other than that it was great!

To be truthful, my wife and I don't go out to eat very often so the only time we go Mexican it's with another couple and they have to suggest something that sounds good to me. That being said, as I remember I got beans, rice, and a taco and everything was very good. Cheese dip and chips were the appetizer and that I always enjoy. I'd go again.

Today was our first visit there. I ordered the Super Burrito, which is a huge burrito with chicken, rice, and beans inside and chili con carne outside. Taste was excellent, they were generous with the meat, $10. Update: maybe ... 10th visit or some such ... excellent food and attentive staff. Today I had Adobe Chicken, which is chicken is cheese cause, with spinach, mushrooms, etc. $15.75 if I remember right.

We met the guys about 14 yrs ago. We have breakfast with them everytime we're in East Point

First time trying this place. We went for breakfast and we not disappointed! The food was excellent, very fair pricing and portion sizes were definitely above average. The atmosphere is fun and comfortable. We look forward to trying more things here when we are back in the area! Server was so attentative and friendly as well!

Food is typical mexican faire. Not the greatest but not terrible. Kids meals are cheap which is great. Service could have been a bit more attentive.

Food was NOT great. Decent service no callback, had to ask for refill. We had omelets that were bland, biscuits are heated frozen, and grits were runny. I did not feel welcome, none greeted us and we waited 2-3 min before ask to be seated. It's been 7 yrs since we've been to Eastpoint and I'm disappointed in Jalisco's breakfast, they use to be real friendly. They started out in a old huddle house and their breakfast was much better then. We are going to find a different place to eat from here on.

If you're looking for breakfast in Apalachicola and nothing opens until lunch, drive over to Eastpoint for a Mexican breakfast. All of the American Breakfasts served, plus ethnic Mexican cuisine too. And at great prices.

There's a $2.50 to go surcharge and my burrito tastes more like ravioli than a burrito, but it is decent.

I was so pleasantly surprised and blown away at how great this place is. Phenomenal food and service. The table side guacamole is next level amazing. They give you so much food and it’s absolutely delicious. My new favorite place!

This wonderful restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of our hotel...service friendly, efficient and fast..food was outstanding..seems that it is frequented by locals which says a lot ..highly recommend

Came in on 3-21-24,the food was warm and had no flavor this could have been alot better.also for a Mexican restaurant no music,can't recommend this place.also just read another review from a month ago,the 2-1 beer special is still hidden on the napkin holder must take a lot of time to fix this.and our meal was 35.00 when I could have when to a store bought a box of taco meal and had a better meal

Not very good at all. No flavor and food products stored next to a unsanitary bathroom. Will not return ever.

Our car would not start when we were leaving and the employees went above and beyond to try and help us. They even give us a ride to our lodging since there was no Uber or taxi service out there. Kudos to these guys for there kindness

The host took me to 5 different tables looking for a clean one. I'm scared to think about how clean the kitchen is! 😳

They claim to be the home of 2 for 1 draft beers. Their menu says nothing about that only happening at happy hour, it only states two for one drafts. They have it in a napkin holder that that deal ends at 6. I'm sorry. I look at the menu for prices, not napkin holders. I won't go back for the false advertising. I spent $80 on a $40 dinner experience at best

My husband and I ate there 1/19/24, early,around 4:15, my husband had a chimichanga platter, and it was good. I had the super burrito and it was very salty, I couldn’t finish it and either could my husband, margarita was good also. Bathrooms were disgusting, toilet was full and running, no towels to dry your hands. I’m not that fussy but we won’t come back. Will keep looking for good places to eat.

We ate lunch at El Jalisco last week and had a wonderful meal. Our server was polite and attentive. The prices were very reasonable. I had the Mexican chicken, and it was very flavorful with tender chicken and fresh pico de gallo.

Great little Tex-Mex restaurant… and also, they serve a really good American breakfast at a very reasonable price…

We ate here in early November of 2023, had an extremely bizarre experience of almost eating a 2 inch black metal screw with a sharp pointed end which was impregnated inside the burrito. Very glad it did not injure the mouth or swallow it. The burrito was replaced but they did not comp the meal we still had to pay for this meal. Still cannot believe a screw was inside the burrito. Cut your food up small and chew well. The food itself was good..

The breakfast at everyone else's table looked good. Got our drinks, made our order, sat around a while talking, realized it seemed to be taking a long time, look around, people with larger parties who arrived after us had all their food, waitress is serving two gentlemen in the booth behind us who also arrived after we did, ask her if they forgot about us, she looks but doesn't acknowledge us whatsoever and just walks away.. so we left.

Ate dinner there last night. Had the same thing as my wife except I also had guacamole. Within 2 hours of getting home I became very nauseous and threw it all up. Never for me again.

I stopped in for a taco salad,, one of my favorites, with a Margarita on the side, yum! But you know, just one margarita is about half of what I wanted. They gave me my second in a to go cup. Saved it til I got home, hooray!

Food was great. Exactly what you'd expect from your local Mexican restaurant. The only reason I gave 2 stars on service was that our server didn't return to fill drinks, chips or give us our check. Everyone has bad days. Still a fun time out.

Stopped by this place to have breakfast while on vacation, it was busy in the early hours of the morning. we expected an ok breakfast but i was surprised by how good it was. Next time i come down this way I am stopping by again.

The waitresses don't speak English to good, so it's hard to understand what they are saying.

This is an awesome place for authentic Mexican or a great breakfast. Service is always great too.

Friendly, fast service, but most importantly great food! My shrimp diabla was accompanied with rice and beans as you would expect, but also with a plate of sliced avocados, Pico de gallo, and sour cream. (Spring for the top shelf margarita)

Either they are using their own seasoning or they are just way off from the ones in Tallahassee. Flavor in tally to me is way better. For the most part, beef was bland.

The food at El Jalisco is awesome! We’ve only had dinner prior to today at the Crawfordville location. Today we tried breakfast in Eastpoint which was equally delicious! Although today service was a real problem. We were sitting outside and I understand that can get someone out of sorts for their routine but Maribel clearly needs more training for serving. Brought coffee with a spoon but no creamer or sugar, brought our food, no napkins, never came back to ask how things were and if we needed anything else. We were finished with our meals for about 10 minutes before we saw her again. Upon her return asked for a box and the check, after the check delivery no return. Ended up going in and paying and saw that the restaurant was empty. We will be back because the food is great and the service (in Crawfordville) has always been 5 star.

I've given up trying to eat there. The food is pathetic. The people that work in there have a foul attitude. Service makes me angry. 3 for 3 horrendous experiences. Prices are not constistent. As in they make them up. This last time, we left our hardly touched disgusting plates, paid, and left. The bad attitude the staff has will lead to an altercation with me. Few experiences in life anger me more than having to pay for rotten food, AND getting treated poorly by staff. There are few of the servers that look related to the owner/manager. They are especially disrespectful and slovenly. I'll just avoid it, because I've taken all the mess off that restaurant I can patiently put up with. No more, never again. Filthy.

Such a great breakfast, get them kids up early who say they want breakfast the night before but are on vacation cause they stop serving that breakfast at 11

I know most of the staff is not Mexican, but you guys should know that a Chimichanga should always be crunchy! Always crunchy! No wet tortilla passed on oil for a few seconds or a minute maybe, my chimichanga was horrible 😣 I’m a trained cook, and I’m Mexican American so I know what I was expecting when I ordered a Chimichanga! You guys are awesome! Very friendly and kind to customers, bathrooms are always clean!

We had breakfast here due to the limited options on St. George Island. Well worth the 10 minute drive! I had the Fajita Breakfast platter, loaded with seasoned beef strips, cheese, home fries, jalapeños, and topped off with 2 eggs. I won't have to worry about lunch today. Friendly staff with fresh hot food.

Food is okay but they don't give you enough beans and rice. Ordered an extra serving and it looked like 3 tablespoons of beans and 3 tablespoons of rice! Okay, this is an update. I'm convinced that some of the Mexican servers are racist. Two African American women were the last to be served while everyone that didn't look like them and came after them were served first. This is not the first or second time I have witnessed this happen! Absolutely disgusting 🤮

This was great. Even I request some food they dont offer on that menu, but the server asking to the cheff and he made special for us. I recomend the food is great and fresh. The cost is ok.👍

Poor service, sat without drinks almost 30 minutes. Portions were really small - like skinny white chick on a diet small. Had the biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were fresh out of the can and the gravy was fresh out of a packet. They forgot half of my wife's meal. Sitting here waiting for the waitress to grace us with her presence again so we can pay and leave. Its been about 20 minutes since we've seen her.

Came in to have our anniversary breakfast. We're sat right away. Not even a hello or nothing. Just how many are there. We sat for 12 minutes without even being spoke to. No they weren't busy... We got there early just for this reason. A table walked in after us and got greeted before us.😡 We chose this place due to the reviews. However, me being a bartender and server back home this was just ridiculous. Maybe they are short staffed but it doesn't take 10 seconds to say "good morning... We'll be right with you!" So we took our money and business down to 98 Eats and we're greeted right away with a smile!

Food for dinner and breakfast was really good.

I tried the American breakfast. I would not order that again.. Very plain. 2 eggs, ordered over medium, came over hard. Bacon, toast. Order a biscuit and gravy. Runny sausage gravy. Husband ordered huevos ranchero, much better taste. Tea was excellent.

Nice place to eat and good food. Our waiter was a little off his game. Got my order wrong but the food he brought me was very tasty. Margarita was tasty.

Don't sleep on their breakfast!!! Hands down best breakfast we've had out in years. And, 20$ for two people. EVERYTHING was perfect! Eggs, home fries, ham, French toast, Texas cheese steak. If this was in my home town, we'd be there all the time. Didn't try lunch or dinner, just the breakfast. Not far from St. George and Apalachicola. Also, the decor was very tasteful and detailed. Not tacky.

I mean food was just about as good as regular Tex-mex. I got the margarita flight and the watermelon one was pretty good, the peach and other ones didn’t have much flavor but still got me tipsy lol. Our service forgot to bring my husbands water after he asked 3 times then he finally brought it.

Best TexMex I have had in a very long time. The staff was attentive and fast. Would highly recommend to anyone

In Tally we call them El Jale(Hell) for a reason. Apparently I needed a reminder. Staying in Apalachicola for the weekend my options for late night food were limited. Really just wanted some chips queso and tacos but somehow at 10/11pm they were only on breakfast menu? Plus no alcohol. Why did I stay, why did I order steak and eggs?! Instant regret and spent the next morning stressing the septic system of my Airbnb. The one on Monroe street is ok, never had this experience. It's an expanding regional chain so people gotta be liking this food. Maybe during the day the product is better, but def desperate late night munchie quest here.

I placed my order on line . My order was never put in until pick up time.. not busy at all 2 table and about 6 waiters. Wasn't told my order was never put in ..was avoided until some girl told be me it'll be 10 mins ....if I had been told I would've left a tip and being I was avoided about it .I will not be back
