Back again for insiders special crab legs-wife and I enjoyed them very much- Luke was very good! Had the sea bean and Mahi special, swamp soup and mango cheese cake Everything was excellent!!’ 7/16 Crab cake…excellent Fish tacos…excellent Mango cheesecake…excellent Water…wet lol

Enjoyed the fried shrimp, and clam chowder. The fries were a little to greasy for me. 4 stars 🌟 The ice tea was great 👍 The key lime pie was great 👍

Been here twice and have enjoyed it both times. Food and atmosphere are great, sitting outside when the weather is nice is definitely a plus. And the server on the second visit, Paolo, was really excellent. Highly recommend!

Love this place! We go every time we are in Florida. The food and drinks are wonderful. Paolo and Leona are terrific waiters. And somehow they remember us even after a year.

Great Clam Chowder, Burgers and fries. Jumbo wings are delicious. Steamed clams in garlic butter broth are a treat. Our waiters, Summer and Ginny are friendly and welcoming and know the menu well.

Beautiful view of Lake Eustis, great food and service as well. There's always something new and refreshing to try on the menu, whether it's food or an adult beverage. One of my favorite things about this place is the artwork you can peruse that's for sale from local artists. And what I find the most attractive about this restaurant is how they source from local farms as much of the food they use as possible in every dish!! This place is a MUST TRY!!

This Restaurant was on our list of places to try while we where staying in the area. Unfortunately the Service was so BAD we waited 20 minutes watching people who came in AFTER us getting drinks and placing their orders while we sat.. and sat.. and sat.. then we got up and left without ever being attended to. There were multiple servers but none ever even checked our table.

My friends and I were visiting on July 17, 2024 from St Petersburg FL looking for an area for me to move to. Loved the area and the owner of the mobile home park recommended the Fish Camp and we were not disappointed!! Thanks to Summer and Happy Birthday again!!

This was a take out order; I probably would have enjoyed it better at the restaurant. I forgot the bartender's name, but he provided good take-out service, but the kitchen not much. I was hoping for exceptional lobster rolls, they were ok. I might try them again, but only if dining in.

It is a fun atmosphere right on the water with both indoor and outdoor dining. No one was outside because it was sooooo hot…then it started to rain, which was beautiful to watch across the water but not beautiful if you were inside in a spot with all the roof leaks and water coming in. The staff was great from the moment you walk in the door, friendly, excellent service, great food and reasonably priced food and drinks. Definitely will go back and try more dishes. Warning… generous portions!

Greeted by a very nice hostess. Our server/bartender Melisa was fantastic, Haddock fish fry was great try the clam chowder you won’t be disappointed and the drinks were good as well

It was our first time here and our server Luke made us feel very welcomed. Me having a huge allergy to shellfish, asked about the Scampi Sauce on the chicken dish. He didn't really know and husseled out to the kitchen to talk to the chef. PHEW!!! The Scampi Sauce only had the best herbs, garlic, pepper and was just phenomenal. Our meal was better than wonderful!! Hubbie got shrimp/grouper onion rings and coleslaw; I got the Chardonnay Chicken with a wonderful local salad with their special orange vinaigrette, which was very tasty and a baked potato. WOW!! Luke was a great server and the food here was just so wonderful!! We will surely be back here, now knowing what a fantastic restaurant this is, so nearby with wonderfully tasty food and fantastic service. MANY THANKS for a wonderful supper!

Casual place really good food. Some tables outside on the lake. Get the fried onion ring tower, shrimp & grits are A+ and the fish is delicious. Have a beer and relax.

I'm here to say I returned to Eutis Fish Camp . We had Lunch . My husband had garlic Parmesan wings & a Lb.of peel & eat Shrimp . I asked for a Grouper sandwich., Garlic Parmesan fries ., & coleslaw ( the best I've ever eaten out ) The Tables were clean this time . Portions were filling. The food was delicious. You can't beat the View . We like sitting outside . We were offered more Coke ., through a very attentive waitress ... The difference was Day & Nite from our last time there .. I posted a Blunt bad review a month or so ago . It was a favorite of ours and we were very disappointed . The Owner sent a note with a gift card to our home . It took us over 6 weeks to go back and I'm so Glad we did. If a Owner cares & is interested in his Business and takes the time to find my address and mail a Nice note with a gift card to try again . Folks it doesn't get better then that... Odd that the waitress said to us , " If it was that bad why did you come back "? I answered , because I was once in business, & I told my Customers, if I don't know what's wrong , I can't fix it . Because of the Owner , he is why I'm here . Thank You Sir ., I'm sorry I took so long to come back. I still miss your Old Onion Rings ( we use to go in for just 2 orders of onion rings a piece ) & next time I'm going back to the Crab Cake along with that Delicious 😋 Grouper .

it looks like a typical waterfront food shack but their shrimps was so good and the gator bites will definitely do it again we came for Father’s Day and they had live music and special awesome!!

Was my first time going I had a great experience. The food was amazing. Prices are good. The service was great. All the orders were just the way they were supposed to be really friendly. Staff definitely gonna go again. Would definitely recommend it to someone else.

2nd time on 6-8-24. So the 1st time we had the auce catfish on a Friday night. The prices were a little high, but we thought it was auce, so we would try it. After the 2nd reorder, it began taking forever to get reordered, and the fish was not fully cooked. Upon speaking with the server, they simply apologized. We stopped there. Now on to the 2nd and probably last visit. We were undecided and saw they had an appetizer that served 5. Hearing the server describe how big the platter was was the main reason we ordered it. So we decided to get that and fries. Now, there were just two of us, mind you. That came with only two frog legs, a handful of gator bites, and about 6 small pieces of catfish for $28.99. Half of the platter were the condiments and greens that were not worth eating. DEFINATELY DIDN'T SERVE 5 AND NOWHERE NEAR WORTH THE PRICE! This place is definitely NOT worth the price.

First time here. We absolutely loved it!! Our server, Leona, was so knowledgeable and helpful! The gluten free options were great! We got to eat like normal people lol. The prices were amazing. Taste, service, portion size, etc. all excellent. I highly recommend and will def return.

This is an amazing restaurant with great views. The food here is absolutely fantastic and the service is second to none. Our waitress was so knowledgeable about the menu and was able to answer all of the questions that we had. This is one of our new favorite restaurants that we will definitely be going back to again and again.

We were at Fish Camp Lake Eustis Thursday night, May 30th for a special event. In the 2 hours we were there, never once did we have someone come to our table to get any kind of drink or food order from us or the other couple at our table. We will never return.

Fish Camp is always a great place to go for fried fish! Good, relaxed atmosphere and friendly service!

This was our first place to eat after arriving in town and we made sure to go again with friends before leaving. First, the service. My husband and I both ordered beer and he was trying one out for the first time. A few minutes after receiving them, the server circled back around to make sure he liked it. We were instantly impressed with the service and that she wanted to be sure he was good. Sadly, don’t see that as much any longer so kudos to her! The food was fantastic…Shrimp and Grits (prefer tails off but that’s okay), Fried Haddock and the Blackened Grouper Reuben. So, so good. We also started with the Smoked Tuna Dip which was tasty. This restaurant is very close to our lake house so we will be visiting often. Well done!

Can you rate this place a Zero? Or below zero? The food sucked, not even the alligator in the water outside the patio would eat it. Place was dirty, with a leaky ceiling with a bucket catching the dripping water. I trusted Google reviews and I was let down big time. If you people think that this place has good food, I'm afraid to ask what else you think is good!

We haven't been to this restaurant for quite a while. Decided to stop in for a quick dinner. We sat @ the bar so the bartender was also our server.. Jonathan was AMAZIN'! Attentive, courteous & informative. Our food was very good. My husband had the Pollock & fries. Perfectly fried & tasty. I had the blackened shrimp- it came with 3 sides which was crazy too much food. The shrimp was grilled perfectly & the onion rings were done nicely. We had a very good meal & a great experience Thank you, Jonathan!

The only reason I'm putting a low star on service is so mgmt will recognize we had an extremely poor experience with the young lady who was our first server. She took our appetizer order and brought drinks and never came back. 45 mins later (while we sat with our 82 yr old mother waiting and watching the same young lady fumble other customers and take orders from larger tables who came in after us) a very nice young man named Jason came and took our meal order and got us another round of beverages. The young lady came back and wanted to argue and said she had sent another server to us when I asked why she never came back. I corrected her- we pulled Jason over ourselves- and she continued to excuse herself. She argued with the table behind us who were also tired of being ignored and a veteran Marine who requested no tomatoes and promptly the the ones he received in the lake. Pauly also helped with our drinks . Both young men were very on top of their game while trying to assist customers while the young lady continued to do the ball and made no attempts to mitigate her bad service. Jason and Pauly get 5 stars! The young lady needs more training with an emphasis on customer interaction. We were there 3 hrs for lunch that should have been one hour at the most and a little consideration from hey versus her blaming everyone in the building would have gone a long way. All in all it would have been a straight up 5 stars all around and we will be back but we will not be served by her.

A Hidden Gem by the Lake! Fish Camp Lake Eustis is a delightful restaurant with a lovely lakeside setting. Their steakburger and French fries are outstanding — the 1/2 lb burger I received (pictured in my review) was juicy and cooked to perfection, served on a buttery toasted bun, and the fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The prices here are very reasonable considering everything is brought in fresh, and the portions are generous. The staff here has always been friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is fairly casual and relaxed, perfect for a laid-back meal with friends or family with fantastic views of the lake. As a local favorite, finding parking, seating, and getting your food can take some time during peak hours, which should be expected anywhere, but I can assure you it’s well worth the wait. Many of the negative reviews I’ve read here seem to be left by pretentious people who think the world revolves around them. Listen, if you’re polite, friendly, and respectful to staff your servers will notice and appreciate your kindness. I visited for lunch during a weekday. My hostess/server seated me promptly, provided me a menu upon seating, brought me a beverage right away, and got my order in very quickly. She stopped back several times to check in on my experience and to see if I needed anything, was able to provide me with a guest WiFi password, and even brought me a small to-go cup for my Coca-Cola. Kindness begets kindness, people. Remember that. All in all, Fish Camp Lake Eustis is a hidden gem in Tavares that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious food, beautiful views, and friendly service.

So glad I took the time to stop for supper. I got there.mid-week about 4:30 and chose to sit outside in moderate temperature with a gentle breeze off of Lake Eustis. The menu offered more choices than my mind could process and the waitress explained each entree she thought I might enjoy.

Food was very good. Relaxing atmosphere. Many other people enjoying lunch, inside and out on the deck. Glad we stopped.

Stop by when we were on the boat awesome place to stop get a drink get something to eat and you can get right back on your boat easy access.

The prices are decent. But the shrimp were chewy, and the fish was overcooked. The crab cake was OK, but not a lot of flavor. And whoever heard of cheese grits laced with hot sauce! I've eaten here before, and it seems to be a hit or miss. Great spot to go by boat. Just have to figure out what's good.

Terrible frozen fish watery etc definitely not fresh catch. Which we should know that is ocean fish not lake. I ordered the clam chowder. Told waitress I wanted hot had to send back 2 times still was tepid. I gave them 8 chances since I moved here in August. No more terrible food. 1st time visit from out of town.

Food was good, not the best for the price. Not the place to go for catfish. Place needs a good cleaning. Place was slow but still took an hour to get our food. Left still just a little hungry.

It's been some time since I was here. At that time i rated this place a 3 as well. We were told there was a 30 minutes wait. They seated several other parties that walked in after us. Someone said that they take reservations. They seated us over an hour after we checked in. The chowder was very tasty but it wasn't very hot. Drinks arrived but the double shot went to the wrong person. Main meal was good. The sides were hot and the fish too. However, the reorder of fish was only warm and a bit soggy. Or server was okay. The kitchen staff was great at delivering our food.

Went to enjoy outdoor dining on the lake. It is right next to a busy highway and the traffic noise was so loud we couldn’t hear to talk to our table mates. Moved indoors and ordered our food. The waitress came back about 20 minutes later and said the computer system went down and there would be a delay in our food. 15 minutes later no salad or soup yet. Finally had to ask for it to get it. Then waitstaff said a side that we ordered wasn’t available and needed to choose something else. Another 20 minutes and our food was delivered in stages including part of it after we were done eating. Food was tasteless and bland. Most of our party only ate 1/4 of what was on our plate. Worst dining experience. When asked how the food was we said terrible. The manager did agree to give us 25 percentage off but would have preferred to enjoy our meal. Wouldn’t recommend eating here.

I was truly shocked by how EXCELLENT the food here was. We pulled up to the boat dock and, from the outside, it looks like a typical waterfront food shack. However, the food is truly incredible. Our server was super nice and never felt overbearing, but made sure we were well taken care of. I ordered the fish and chips and the fish was cooked well and the breading was great. I got fried vegetables (zucchini, peppers, squash, and capers) with were grilled to perfection. Then the fries. I ordered garlic Parmesan fries as a side and they were some of the best fries I’ve ever had. Slathered in a garlicky sauce and topped with melted parmesan. I couldn’t get enough! I was dipping them in their tartar sauce (I usually don’t like tartar sauce, but this one was very mayo-y and had some mustard in it and it was really good) and I couldn’t get enough. All-in-all, don’t sleep on this place. The outside may look like a typical drive, but the food is in a league of its own.

All the fish, shrimp and crab cake was very good. The hush puppies were not! Small, dense and tough. The margaritas were excellent. Food was actually 4.5☆

Fantastic food, great servers and beautiful views. What more can you ask for in a restaurant? It was so good we talked about going back the next day to have dinner again. How often does that happen?? Many of the items are sourced locally. Each day has a special. There is something for everyone. It’s not just fish. I had the Mahi Mahi blackened tacos. I will get them again. Prices are very reasonable. Get a table outside.

Visiting from Canada. Tried out this restaurant. Had a shrimp basket with fries and a bowl of 'SWAMP SOUP. The shrimp were so so , the fries were quite good, and the soup was all salt brine, could not eat it. My wife had a burger that was subpar with some hushpuppies, that were better than the burger. We come to Ocala every year, we will not be returning to this restaurant, and suggest that others look elsewhere as well.

Probably won't be going back. No more tablecloths and the food we had was not very good. My husband had crabcakes with hardly any crab. I had haddock with a lemon cream sauce. I couldn't taste anything but lemon. The rice was like paste and the brocolli was very hard, barely steamed.

The food was good the price was right I will go again. It's a mom and pop it's not a chain place. Kind of considerate an upscale diner with fish. Not fancy just decent food and prices

Tried Fish Camp again after a client said it was good, I told him it was hit or miss at best. This evening’s meal was lousy at best. Tried the appetizer platter for 5, it was for 2 at best. The gator bites were overcooked and tasteless the catfish was not as bad and the frog legs were maybe okay. Will not go back and will not recommend to my clients!

Drove an hour from Davenport. Visited last summer and the food was very good. Our server was very friendly and on his game (male w longer hair pulled back.) He and the food made us want to go back for a special occasion. Drove an hour again from Davenport to eat here for my Dad's 85th Birthday and the food was nothing to brag about. The chicken was dried, tough and very chewy. On our hamburger and chicken sandwiches we had 4 pieces of tomatoes and 3 of them were ends and one even had a stem still in it. We will not return to this restaurant, You lost customers and got a bad review because you tried to save a few pennies with tomatoes... Also, you need to hire a new chef that knows how to cook chicken and burgers, the fish was ok, but the chicken was leather.

We had lunch here on 02/22/2024 and were seated in the room with all of the waterskis displayed on the wall. Our server was Miguel, and from his first intro we knew we were in good hands. Personable and knowledgeable about the menu and items for my picky eater. I had the chicken sandwich and our table ordered a variety of other items—including a grilled cheese that Miguel offered for my picky eater. All were fabulous. The best part was the service. My father is a little hard of hearing and Miguel was patient and never frustrated after repeating himself a few times so my dad could make his lunch decision. I highly recommend this restaurant and try and get Miguel as your server!

My wife and I went today and was seated immediately. We have eaten here in the past so we knew what to expect, however as we sat at our assigned table, we watched three couples come in after us and their drinks and entrees were all taken as my wife and myself still had not been waited on! We quietly got up and walked out and pasted by the hostess and she looked at us like we were bums or something! I can only think that they don’t like Veterans as I was wearing a Disabled Veteran Hat and shirt! What a disappointment! I will share our experience with all my colleagues, friends and Veterans!

Service was very slow, had to ask for refills, food was kind of average and the traffic noise was horrible.

I took my dad there for a Sunday lunch, and it was wonderful. The food and service were great, and the view was phenomenal. We will definitely be back.
