Hade a great experience here today, delicious ice cream and amazing staff.

So good we had to come back on the last night of vacation to get one more scoop! My husband and I loved the vanilla bean cake and my parents loved the bourbon butter pecan!

Always a great visit. Ice cream options are abundant with something for everyone. Ifnyou ever need custom decorated cookies for an event or party THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!

Gilbert's is great!! They have a perfect balance of fun/unique flavors along with the classics. Service is just as good as the ice cream; especially Zoey and Melony!!!

Beautiful brunette working today did an awesome job with service helping me choose a good ice cream to order on national ice cream day!

The ice cream was really good, however the waffle cone was burned. The people working here were rude. Not friendly at all. Not sure why they were hired to work here if they don’t like people. There are so many icecream places to go to this one will not be visited again.

But of all the ice creams and ice cream shops, there is none compared to Gilbert’s (Gilby’s in our hearts)! So many perfect staple flavors, and a fun mix of new flavors. GOAT flavor: Cotton Candy

A must have anytime we’re in PI from now on. We went two nights in a row- SO good and the staff was so nice. 10/10 you have to go!

The best ice cream around. And good service.

Got a two scoop cup, coffee and strawberry. The coffee ice cream has A LOT of coffee grounds in it, to the point the ice cream is gritty. Despite the amount of coffee grounds, the flavor is subtle. As for the strawberry, it's made with artificial strawberry flavoring or syrup, giving it a neon pick color with a few minced pieces of strawberry in it. Definitely not worth the nearly $10. Response to owner: nice you chalk up poor quality to "must not be your cup of tea." Changing from 2 to 1 star after that, do better.

Best place to get ice cream in Pawleys!

This place is amazing! We love the ice cream especially the "flight" where you get a half-scoop of 4 different flavors!

The ice cream is superb!! Wish there was more seating but definitely a spot to come to! The Praline’s and Crème was the best!!!

My niece actually works here, but was not working when we visited. We live 45min-1hr from there and we're passing through and wanted some ice cream. I had a strawberry milkshake with french vanilla ice cream and my wife had a banana split. We both thought it tasted very good, not busy so it was quick service, and staff was friendly. I was not a fan of the seating arrangements and there were small candy pieces everywhere from kids I assume. That aside it was somewhere we would visit again when in the area.

We were the only people in the restaurant. Our order was completely delicious. One milk shake and one cup of specialty ice cream with nuts on top. The serve was friendly and informative. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Homemade ice cream that tastes like little licks of heaven! Haven't had a disappointing choice of ice cream, yet!

Stopped on the way back from Charleston, this will definitely be our go to spot when ever were down that way again. Ice cream was delicious and all homemade, other items were also homemade and delicious, and the milkshakes were great, especially the malted that I had. Not the cheapest place for ice cream, but worth it. Highly recommend.

Me and my wife love coming here whenever we get the chance, the ice cream is so delicious and I recommend the coffee and my wife recommends the bourbon ice cream it’s all so very delicious

Went with my family. We ordered the black raspberry, bourbon butter pecan, chocolate, chubby monkey, golden milk & vegan cookies & cream. We loved all the delicious homemade ice cream options especially the golden milk! Cute shop, friendly staff & great outdoor area with picnic tables. Highly recommended

Delicious ice cream, although I was a bit bummed about them not having pistachio flavor. Interior feels a bit cramped but it still feels like an oasis from the heat.

We went there after dinner. They had a black light and giving glow sticks away. The kids loved it. The ice cream was wonderful.

Great tasting ice cream - overpriced like most ice cream shops disappointed each employee came across bored, looked like they didn’t want to be their and no friendly customer service.

This is the best ice cream in Pawleys! Family owned. Inside and outside seating in a courtyard. Very close to the beach and great service.

We got a peanut butter malt and jimmy jaz/honey bun ice cream. Both really good! Friendly staff and love the assortment of dessert options. Definitely intrigued in trying more flavors next time. Maybe a sundae?

This ice cream is so rich and delicious!! So glad we stopped. My husband got a cotton candy waffle cone and I think that was the best cotton candy ice cream I've ever tasted. I got the hot Brownie sundae with both vanilla and chocolate chocolate chip ice cream, hot fudge whip cream and a cherry on top and it was a chocolate lovers dream. The store and menu board are so beautiful...so many choices including floats. Loved it! Highly recommend!!

This is the best ice cream place in South Carolina in my opinion. It has everything a proper ice cream shop should offer- homemade scoops of tasty ice cream, delicious toppings, and friendly staff. If you are in the area you have to stop here. You’ll be glad you did!

Took my daughter, and we had the brownie bannanna and honey bun ice cream(it was AMAZING). This is our go-to spot for sure!

Delicious homemade ice cream! So many flavors to choose from. I love that they source certain ingredients from local farms. Tried the sundae special which was Jammin PB made from local strawberries and it was sooo good!

I've been twice and this place is excellent! Sundae photo is from two days ago, milkshake from last year. Both were good and bites of other things I sampled off my family's orders were good as well. It's a busy place but the line moves quickly. Plenty of seating. The staff is always great. One thing I love is that they have Lactaid pills for sale, I think 25 cents for a pack, so if you're lactose intolerant you can enjoy it too!

Great ice cream with friendly service

Very good, with a variety of flavors. Four of us stopped by in evening and tried the chocolate, vanilla, peach cobbler, coffee, and toasted coconut cold brew. Definitely worth the time and worth a return trip when we are back in the area.

Gilbert's was a treat. The best ice cream on Pawley's Island. The waffle cones are homemade and delicious, every flavor is excellent. We came almost every night this trip. This is the ice cream flight, where you get three half scoops, in case you want to try a few ;)
