Best place on the mountain for food and drinks

better. stopped for a libation. Asked for a scnapps & all they have is peach & peppermint, which really are not scnapps...tasted sweet & alcohol free...switched to tequila...not great but better.

BEWARE! This place is atrociously expensive. We sat down for 3 pitchers of beer, nachos and a round of shots and the bill came to $200 USD! And of course there's an 18% auto grat for a table of 5. Save yourself $100 and drive 10 minutes into town after your shred sesh

Had an awesome time, largely in thanks to our exceptional server Chiersten. Going back again tomorrow!

Amazing ski hut restaurant. Was there three years ago and still tell my friends about it . Nachos are the bomb! For real, don’t miss this place when at whitefish.

The food was great, but the menu is one of the most sparsely designed I've ever seen.

Service is lightning fast considering how packed it gets.

I have routinely are here over the past 40 years and often sit at bar. This time however it was full so I asked to be on list for table. After three other small parties of 3 or 4 that served after me were seated I had enough. Lost a long time customer.

Had a reservation for 3 last Friday night and each of us had a different entree. They were all delicious. Greet service also!

The nachos are amazing! The best place on the mountain to stop in at for a quick bite and drink.

Love this place. Have talked to many who wish they would expand the hours after the lifts close. Can’t imagine how much business they are losing because of this. Also a little less fine dining for dinner and add a few more basics to the menu would be helpful.

We had the mushroom appetizer, pork chop, ribeye, and bread pudding (AMAZING) plus wine, beer and cider. Service was great and we enjoyed eating on the deck.

My wife and I stop in for a drink every time we go skiing. We decided to rent the saloon for a rehearsal dinner for our son’s wedding….outstanding! What a great venue, great views and fantastic service. Couldn’t ask for a better place to host our family and friends. Can’t say enough good things about Hellroaring Saloon. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Quirky apres bar offers everything you need on a pow day from beers and bloodys to burgers and nachos. Great service especially considering the volume and flow through of this busy spot. Our nachos order was huge but seemed like it had been under the heat lamp for a long time, dried out and the cheese was solid and cold. Would go again.

The best mountain restaurant I've visited in North America. Mac n cheese is great, cocktails are best in class, and service is good. Nachos are well worth it for a big group.

Decent food and reasonable prices right on the slopes. Been eating the nachos for 20 years. Downside is they are not open for breakfast or dinner. Kitchen closes about 4:30pm.

Get there early for seating and have your entire party with you. I loved this policy. Get a hat day 1 on the mountain if you are skiing multiple days and like beer. Then each day it's buy 1 get 1 free. They have some great beer options on tap. They have awesome daily specials. The more snow is great to warm up. If you are a beginner skier take interstate to home again to Amory to ski way to get there. Russ's street was a little intimidating but doable as well as a blue at the top. These avoid having to climb the hill from chair chair 6.

Worst experience at Whitefish in a long time. Our server MARGARET was hostile and rushed us through our meal and drinks. At one point she came and asked us to pick up our drinks and move outside, as she said her job was to CHURN AND BURN TABLES and SHE DIDNT CARE. After pushing back and asking if we could finish our drinks the manager approached and basically asked us to move as well so they could use the table. Upon further push back our waitress called us a profane name and we left. NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY and NOT AT ALL A GOOD EXPERIENCE. Not recommend there are other more friendly places on the mountain that don’t berate customers.

Amazing place to eat. It’s conveniently located on the end of the slopes between chair1 and chair 2. Delicious food for lunch. My husband and I were very impressed from Bison sliders and soup de jour. Both were full of flavor, delicious and fulfilling. We had lunch 3 times there out of 6 days in the resort. The best place for lunch. Excellent atmosphere, friendly and professional staff. The owner checked all the time how customers are satisfied. Strongly recommended. We’ll definitely come back. Delicious food with very reasonable affordable price.

Great place right on the mountain. Nachos were crazy. Half order for my son and I and we still left half of them. Can't wait to get back!

One of the best places if not the best on the mountain for some good atmosphere, warm drinks and delicious food after.

Outdoor dining has great views. Service and food very good.

4.5 stars. Mussles and Duck Tacos were a great start to share. Mahi tacos for a second were just as good. Shout out to the front and back of the house for accommodating us as we arrived at or past the kitchen's closing time. We will definitely be back and on time next time. Thank you again!!

If you are staying on the mountain and want more than just bar food, this restaurant is a must. Gourmet food and a good wine list and everyone was super nice.

AMAZING green chili stew! Rich and creamy green chili flavor with savory chunks of pork. Excellent warm coffee cocktails. Lots of skiers and observers sharing good times. Service with a smile.

This is the rowdiest ski lodge I've ever been in (and I've been to quite a few) - and its awesome. Food is "ski area great" and the (pitchers of) beer keeps flowing! Highly recommend buying a Shot-Ski for an unsuspecting table and really getting the party started! Reasonably priced!

The Hellroaring Saloon the iconic ski bar you have to visit if you are skier. It's not very big full of memoribilia documenting the history of Whitefish Mountain (Big Mountain). Great drinks and friendly people and staff.

The nachos are incredible! The best in the valley! However, their hours are so, so unpredictable! During the 2 weeks of Christmas-New Years, they should be open (other than fine dining) for longer! There were so many people night skiing every night!

Our avorite lunch spot on the mountain. Tasty eats and decent selection of brews. Super G was delicious and the service was outstanding. Be prepared to wait if you go at the lunch hour peak.
