Irie Diner. The food is unique and flavor packed! This restaurant is very consistent. You will receive joy every time you bite. The prices are more than fair. They do have vegan options, and believe me, it is the best jerk tofu you will ever have. The owners are beautiful people. I am personally just so happy to have met him. The cook is the man. That dude knows how to cook. There are no refills on the drinks, but that's because they are specialty drinks. Home made fruits drinks etc. But they are very tasty. If you want good food for a good price with good people, even if you come alone, then seriously don't miss out on trying Irie Diner. I know once you try it, eventually, I will see you there!

I was craving some Guyanese food today when I remembered that my good friend owns a restaurant called Irie Diner at 1177 Park Ave, which serves Guyanese curry goat and Jamaican cuisine. I decided to order the Guyanese curry goat, along with some callaloo and plantains. Let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! I also noticed the Guinness punch and decided to give it a try. It was fantastic! I think I’ve found a new favorite. #iriediner

The food here is amazing, it reminds me of home.So anytime I get that feeling of reconnecting,I stop by for some Rice and beans with jerk ribs or oxtails. Try it out you will be pleasantly surprised 🙂

I had high hopes for this place because of the high reviews. Let’s get right into it. The curry chicken is not saucy and tastes like it is lightly seasoned with curry. You don't really taste the curry. The macaroni pie is awful. It should be removed from the menu. The fact that there was an up charge for this dish makes it that much more disrespectful. The rice and peas are decent. The best thing I had was the festival. I’d recommend going somewhere else when you are craving Caribbean food.

This Restaurant does not miss when it comes to flavor!! I Tried the jerk with Xtra gravey for lunch and it was really good.. The beef Patties are freshly made here and they do not come out of WALMART..Looking forward to trying other items on the menu!!

This is absolutely the best Jamaican food in Florida! The portions are extremely generous and the customer service is always exceptional! My latest crush is the 2 chicken special on Tuesdays! $18 is unbelievable! You can barely get fast food for that price. I've been coming here for years and they are always on point!

The food was great! I got the jerk chicken with cabbage and plantains, the pineapple lemonade is a must!! My husband ordered the curry chicken with cabbage and the jerk fries (which were amazing btw), I ate my jerk chicken and his curry lol that’s how good it was. The only thing I would change is the plantains, I prefer mine a little softer but other than that the food was filling and hearty. The staff was great, very hospitable, loved the island music and island vibes! 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back soon :)

This restaurant is amazing! We went there with a group of 13 and they served us with a smile! The staff and owner showed us personal attention and deep appreciation for our patronage. A must have if you want real carribean favorites! The server was nice and service was fast. A full island experience. We started with the conch fritter. Full of flavor and an enjoyable spice. The coconut shrimp was fried perfectly with the mango chaunety sauce 👌🏽 for entrees had the Red snapper brown stewed with rice and peas and plantains. And omg aaammmaaazzing ! Curry roti meal and I can tell my roti was fresh and chicken was tender. I barely used my fork! Swooshed up all the juices. Oh and the drinks can forget those. Rum punch is a must and they mixing them right!!! Rum cake was delicious warm and moist 🤤

Jerk chicken wings are my favorite. I get it with the pepper sauce and it sooooo spicy and flavorful. This is definitely my spot for comfort food and a happy place. They provide really great service on top of that. The food is delicious 10/10 😍😍😍

I had such high hopes for this place. The atmosphere was nice. It looked and smelled clean. The customer service was great. I was totally disappointed with the taste and quantity of the food portion. The jerk did not taste like jerk. The rice wasn't fresh. It was hard and tasteless. The stew chicken flavorless. I WISHED ID CHECK MY FOOD BEFORE LEAVING. I paid about $30 for jerk chicken and rice, I received RICE,plantain, and what appears to be a sliver of chicken. I am truly disappointed!

1st, let me say the service was outstanding. The owner asked for our honest opinions regarding the food. I love a good meal 😋 the food was delicious. I'd suggest the snapper with escovitch and the appetizer platter. My only gripe is a 3.00 uncharge to "premium sides" that was disappointing 😞 by all means, stop in and enjoy your meal.. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5

I was referred to this place by a local, and she (Ms. Blossom, who works at the Navy Gateway Hotel, was right. The place was empty, and I chose to dine in. Not another soul in there, so I was happy. The music was good and the food was even better. I absolutely loved the curry tofu gravy. As a pescatarian, sometimes,it can be hard. The coconut shrimp was AMAZING...the fries (both sweet potato and crinkle) were perfectly seasoned. Literally, mouthwatering. I loved this place, I really did. * The curry gravy (tofu) was so good, I brought the remainder home...in a water bottle, wrapped in a small hand towel, in a plastic bag from the hotel, and into my checked luggage. I was flying out two days later.* Yes, that good.

On this trip, I ordered just an appetizer via online order. The Tobago Coconut Shrimp with a side of fries. I chose to upgrade to add Jerk fries for an additional $1.50. The shrimp are butterflied, seasoned well and tasted exactly as described. I was disappointed with the fries. They were fresh but seasoned with a dry seasoning (which had no jerk flavor) and not an actual jerk sauce or gravy. I expressed my concern explaining that I wanted the sauce/gravy instead and was advised there is an another charge of $1.50 to get the sauce. If i wanted the sauce/gravy, to place a phone call next time to request the jerk sauce/gravy. If we are paying 1.50 to upgrade, there should be an option when placing the order online for dry seasoning or jerk sauce/gravy to choose from.

The food was delicious. The best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had! I got the Puerto Rican shrimp with cabbage and sweet potatoes. Wife got Jamaican jerk chicken, Mac and cheese, and red beans and rice. Can’t believe that they’ve been there for 7 years and we’ve never been. We’ll be back.

On Saturday, April 20, 2024 we celebrated my husband’s 62nd birthday! Our selection of appetizers, entrees and drinks were simply delicious but what topped off the event was the owner and staff made it more personal by presenting a Carribean version of Birthday greetings to my husband. Irie is an awesome place to dine for exguiste appetizers, entrees, deserts and drinks! The top of the list appetizer is the coconut shrimp!! To die for! We’ll definitely be back!! I loved the curry chicken and the oxtails. The rice and peas were well seasoned, but the jerk chicken was not. I can eat my weight in plantains. My favorite was the coconut shrimp. I enjoyed the atmosphere. They are doing some repairs/painting. The parking spots in front weren't available. It wasn't crowded at all for lunch. It was a great experience. Thank you!

This is my go to spot for Caribbean cuisine

This small beautiful hidden gem was so mouth watering delicious that any words to describe the food would be an injustice. The jerk chicken wings were to die for, the coconut shrimp and pineapple sauce paired so well together. My favorite part of the menu was the homemade carrot cake! It is the only cake in 35 years that could compete and beat my grandfathers carrot cake. The fresh carrots, cream cheese frosting, and caramel drizzling was the perfect ending to a great meal. Thank you Peter for a little taste of heaven.

The best part of the meal was the Pineapple Lemonade and the fact that they served plantains. I absolutely love plantains, however, the ones provided were chewy in texture and tasted as though they were either overcooked or old. We tried the Curry Chicken and Jerk Pork for the lunch bowls. The jerk pork was quite good, it had good spices and went well with the rice and beans. The curry chicken was good, but there was very little curry. It was more like eating plain rice with bits of seasoned chicken and a piece of a potato. I gave the mango juice a try and while it was bottled from Canada, it still tastes good as another drink option. The Pineapple Lemonade I believe is made on site, but I'm not certain. We also gave the loaded fries with Oxtail Gravy a try. The gravy was good, however the fries were undercooked. The food overall was average to below average quality and could do better. The staff was friendly, though they seemed understaffed. I really wanted to love this place as it's next to one of our favorite ice cream stops; we might give it another try to see if it's better on a different day.

Had some of the best authentic Caribbean food to have ever graced my palette. The subtle and clean flavor from the fried conch balls paired with their pineapple dipping sauce was a great way to open up my dinning experience. The jerk chicken was marinated and grilled to perfection, rice and beans were exceptionally tender and fried plantains were moist with a satisfying crispy edge with sauce on the side to tie everything together. The service was also phenomenal with the owner greeting our table and connecting with us. Our server Kristeena provided great recommendations for dishes and complementary flavor profiles. Irie’s ambiance is one that is relaxing for the mind and soul. Calm earth tones paint the walls of their establishment and low volume smooth jazz and R&B play from the speakers. The crowd was calm and the staff very easy going. If you’re looking for an establishment with high quality food and adequate prices this is the place to be!

Ordered a delivery of jerk chicken for the wife and I got rice and BEAN. There was like three beans in the box. And no silverwear. We were at a brewery nearby. We had to just toss the food because we didn’t want to eat my plain rice with my fingers. Forget this place unless you like dry rice and fingers

Ordered the Jerk chicken, beans and rice and cabbage. Cabbage was nothing special bland tasteless . I got a ton of rice though with a few pieces of dried out Jerk chicken laid across the top of it. Not impressed will not be back. Time to go to the next Caribbean Restaurant. I'm gonna find a good one sooner or later.... that's why it's good to read the reviews but you have to go and check out for yourself. The food was ok, but absolutely, nothing to brag or tell anyone about. Instead of Jerk chicken the menu should say Less Jerk Chicken and more rice !!! I like to add that the Jerk chicken was like eating fish with bones in it, you never know when you gonna bite down on a horrible tooth cracking bone. Horrible, out right horrible Jerk chicken !!! What a waist of my money !!!

We had another lovely lunch at Irie Diner in Orange Park yesterday. It is the best Caribbean food we have eaten in the Jacksonville area. The atmosphere is laid-back and relaxing, just like the islands. I had jerk chicken, rice and beans and callaloo. It was delicious! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. My husband had jerk pork tenderloin, cabbage, and rice, all of which he thoroughly enjoyed. We also shared a side of fried sweet plantains, my favorite. Our server, whose name from the receipt was Soul G. was excellent...sweet and attentive, but not over-bearing. I cannot say enough about this restaurant and always wonder why there is not a line out the door. If you haven't eaten there, YOU NEED TO TRY IT! Their menu has good variety. In the past I've had their curry and brown stew. They never disappoint.

My sister and I went to Irie Diner to celebrate her birthday & the food and customer service was 10/10. We also had Peter come and greet us & he was very pleasant. The servers/waiters were very mannerly and I would 100% recommend their homemade Pineapple Lemonade & the oxtails with rice & red beans....so delicious. My sister had the jerk ribs and they were very tender & juicy.

Me and my husband ordered two oxtails plates one with plantains and one with callaloo , as well as two pineapple drinks the price came up too 72.67 and the price does not match the plates whatsoever. I was missing my callaloo which they charge two extra dollars for and the plates are not a large or a jumbo they are very small for the price , also the taste of the oxtails were more southern than they were Jamaican , on top of that it was like my rice was either warmed up or my oxtails were warmed up there was an indention of my rice sticking to the container plus both my husbands and I oxtails were tough and way too fatty which made them kinda slimy this was our first and last time having them great decor though

I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Authentic Caribbean cuisine and the best Jerk meat I have ever had. Truly. The food here is sublime. My family has had numerous different meals here and all have been great. The highlight surely has to be the wings. The meat is seasoned well and then grilled for maximum flavor. The red beans and rice (with a little jerk gravy) are very good, but the truth is that every side and desert we have had has been great. The service is as good as the food. The owner has made a point to visit with us every time we have gone. The wait staff has always been polite and courteous, not to mention quick. The restaurant is clean and welcoming. The only bad thing I have to say is that I'm sorry we cant go more often. An excellent place to eat and a MUST VISIT if you are in the Jacksonville/Orange Park area.

Best Jamaican restaurant in North-central Florida. We went for Valentine's Day, and the atmosphere was great, with music and decorations. The staff were friendly and accommodating, owner was a treat to be around, and most of all, the food was AMAZING. Loved the Oxtail. Loved the soup. Loved the jerk. Loved the Pineapple Lemonade. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I would have posted pictures of our meal if we didn't eat it so fast. 😅 Also, the restaurant itself is in a good location, and it's very warm and clean inside. Highly recommend.

I had the Ackee and Saltfish. It was one of the most delicious meals i have had in this city! The ackee was tender and nutty, with a texture similar to tofu but with more flavor. The fish was well balanced and didn't overpower the dish. Served with rice and red beans, the is was delectable and well portioned. The owner was also quite friendly and explained some of the dishes with which we were unfamiliar. I highly recommend it!

Stopped here to get lunch after a Dr’s appt and this place had good reviews and was close by. The restaurant is immaculate and the bathrooms were spotless. The servers were very nice, and Peter the owner was very kind. I had the Jerk pork lunch bowl and it was very good. I also had the Pineapple lemonade which was delicious too. Parking is easy and they have a window for takeout orders. I’ll definitely be coming back. Fantastic Carribean fare.

My first time here was nothing less of amazing! I can’t wait to come back with everyone I know! The owner Peter was attentive, kind, confident in his menu, and welcoming. For Drinks: I ordered the Cool Runnings and the Sense a Mania. For Food: Meal #1 I had the jerk shrimp with macaroni pie and cabbage. This place is a true hidden gem. On the side of highway 17, in a random strip mall not unlike the other million of them across the great city of Jacksonville, behind mirror tinted windows, exists a restaurant that serves delicious Caribbean food with a nice selection of beer! (including one of my favorites, that is red strip). What else could a guy ask for? The service is amiable and pleasant and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. My only complaint? Give me more dang chicken in my brown stew! Check this place out.
