Great place for game night, weather it's to play a board game with your family, D&D with your friends or have a MTG tournament. This place provides food and drinks as well as a great environment for any of your nerding needs.

Went here last night for the first time and had a blast. Very well organized game shelves with many options. $3 play fee was very reasonable. I thought the options at the cafe were solid. Definitely something for anyone here. Will be back.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful! Riley is always happy to answer questions and responds quickly in the discord. Events are well organized and fun. Java Game Haus Cage is overall a great place to play games with friends.

Too cool!! This was my 1st experience seeing people playing games, had a different outlook at 1st but after seeing ot and my brother explaining why, I understand now, oh and coffee was good.

Great spot to play board games with friends and have some coffee and snacks. Good weekend activity, and has tons of fun events for different card and board games. I have a dungeons and dragons group that meets here regularly and it's always been an excellent venue!

An environment you can't beat! With board games you didn't even know existed

We came to play an event on 07/14/2024. The event was well run, communication was clear and the environment was clean and very nice! The cafe was packed and everyone was having a good amount of fun! Kudos to Noah and Riley they did a great job running the event. This venue is extremely welcoming and inclusive for all players! Great job! I wish I lived closer….because this venue is doing it right!!!!!

7/14/24 A MUST visit local joint. Still around after all these years and getting even better! Bigger playing room, cafe, shop, and events area. So happy this local business is still going strong. Older review -Always a great time. Staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Great selection of games that they are adding to all the time. I hope they stay around for a long time.

Staff has knowledge of multiple tcgs different members of staff handle different games the main ones they dont do are Pokémon yugioh and vanguard

Heard great things about this place and it was unfortunate that a disabled war vet can't bring his medicine into the store. I have to drink my medicine twice a day and the guy behind the counter yelled at me and my occupational therapist that those are the rules. Shame.

Great nerd games shop, plenty of room for magic, D&D, board games, and more. They have models to build our just paint for said games and cards. There's a cafe with a decent menu inside. Unfortunately this is not an anime, gunpla, or likewise supplier.

This place has every board game and card game I could ever think of, it was amazing. Love the amount of play space they have too!

Phenomenal quality of service when it comes to providing a friendly, approachable atmosphere for board, table top, RPG, and TCG players alike. The additional spaces for RPG games, as well as the event center for TCG tournaments are great features that add to a large list of what makes Java great. Whether you are looking for a casual game of shoots and ladders with friends while sipping on coffee from their cafe, or coming to battle it out with your opponents in Catan, Warhammer (using their custom designed High Top Gaming tables) or their friendly yet competitive FNM's. You will find a good place at Java, from the management to the staff you will find an inviting group of people that will point you in the right direction for your gaming needs. As well as a local player base that are both inviting and helpful, running independent events as well as structured events for those that looking to join local groups of like minded gamers!

Came here to meet up for a game of dungeons and dragons and we loved it. Everyone was so nice, the food was pretty great, and the selections inside for games and merch were also fantastic. Will definitely be back.

Honestly one of the best game stores in Jax. Tough there is a table fee it's only 3 bucks and its worth it for the amazing space and atmosphere, especially if you play Warhammer. They have a few custom built tables that are perfect for Tabletop games. Not only that they have an amazing selection of paints, and tcg products as well as board games. The Cafe is also pretty good too, highly recommend giving them a visit, or checking out the multiple events the run for just about everything!

Please exercise caution when using the male facilities because if you do not aim directly for the water, it will splash on your legs. There is nothing special about their pricing. No Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. If you are not using their board games, I would recommend any other card shop as it is $3 plus tax to use their tables. Their coffee is good.

Really cozy and super affordable! The snacks, drinks, and games are priced right. They even have pride dice. I came here after being recommended by a coworker and I was not at all disappointed. Great for trying before you buy board games, or just for someone who wants to do tabletop without breaking the bank.

I hate my multiple trips every year to Jacksonville. I don't much care for the city, but Java Haus has made each visit enjoyable! This place is massive (grats on the relocate!) And the supplies are near endless. There is so much to do and see here. The food did take a long time to arrive (over 30 mins for a pizza) and you do have to pay for table space. Otherwise, the place is clean, accommodating, inclusive, and full of everything you need, whatever your hobby.

Nice place to go. The coffee was really good. Its nice that there are a ton of options so you can have a simple coffee or a more complex one. There is also a huge board game selection and a good selection of cards. Ending up buying two new games because we hadn’t seen them before. The vibe is also pretty chill so i highly recommend!

Excellent selection, staff, and atmosphere

I love this place for playing boardgames more then any other! I love the library of games they have available to play right away! it's also good for wargaming or just classic boardgame fun! I highly recommend checking this place out!

This place is an absolute gem! I’ve always driven by but never dropped in until today. I took my son here on a date and we had a blast having access to their HUGE library of board and card games. The staff is so kind and have such genuine energy. I’m telling ALL my friends and family about this place! We will absolutely be back!

Loads of fun with three grandkids

This gaming cafe has good drinks. I'm a big fan of their Chai frappe and get it every time I visit. The selection of games, both to buy, or open for you to play in the store is nice and broad. The staff are helpful and kind and diverse. A fun place to come and play games with friends, or get one of your own.

Such a great game cafe! The owners and all the staff are incredibly kind, and they have an amazing selection of games! A friend and I were there on a Thursday night and the place was packed!

This is a really chill place to hang out and play board games, D&D or War Hammer. They have a great selection of loaner games to play if you don't have one as well as a collection of table top RPGs and other fun games for everyone to purchase. They have a large facility with multiple tables for different games that include felt covered for cards, a cityscape design for table war gaming and plenty of accessories such as miniatures and paints. They also have a food and drink bar that serves coffee, snacks and other treats. The ice coffee was great 👍. They do charge a small$3 fee to rent a table but they do have an incentive for the D&D player. The DM does not have to pay for a table and they get 1 dollar store credit for every player that joins the campaign!!!!

I personally love Pokémon cards and their Clearance/End of the year sale section was a huge bonus. Everywhere else I looked for the same booster box had the price starting at $125 but here it was only $100. The employees were very nice, kind and patient with me. The hot chocolate at the cafe was good and the warm chocolate muffins were delicious.

I freaking love places like this, and I wish we had one near me! We were visiting from out of town, and I always love to check out the local tabletop games scene. If you love board games, definitely visit here! They have a huge wall of games to choose from, and a large, well-lit, clean space to play! They also had a unique numbering system with stickers from 1-5 to help you choose a game with the complexity you're looking for. I can't wait to visit again!

It’s a really good idea for a business and pretty nice establishment. I felt a little intimidated going in because it was alot of DND and magic campaigns going on but that’s a personal thing. One of the employees was wearing a necklace that to my knowledge signifies a sexual relationship within BDSM. It was a slip chain with an O-Ring and while I don’t really care about it I just don’t think that’s smart to wear during work hours. But I could misinterpret what the necklace is and it could be just a metal necklace the employee likes. That’s not the reason I give three stars. I digress. The 3 stars is because my friend and I ordered food and it took over an hour for it to come out, and her food came out undercooked. Staff was very nice about a refund but overall it shouldn’t come out undercooked to begin with. Solid 3 out of 5. Staff was nice, game boards were fun, just some small things that I believe could use some improvement. They will have my business again.

Great place for magic the gathering

Came here from Tallahassee and was greeted and given great customer service. It was a great overall experience. If we're ever back in Jacksonville, we will definitely stop by again!

I have participated in play events at this location twice. They are well organized and the space is great. They also obviously care about and want to support the local gaming community. I have personally observed them choose to sell a scarce product for about half what it could be sold for in order to allow local players to have access to an otherwise unavailable product at a reasonable price. As a business they chose to put their customers ahead of maximizing profit for themselves. Please support this local store and reward their commitment to the local gaming community.

Friendly local game store specializing in tabletop games, RPG's and Magic the Gathering among others. An exceptional warm and cozy environment with a helpful and polite staff. The food is fresh and the drinks are delicious, and with the new move, they've onky gotten more ambitious. This store is also somewhat kid friendly, and the staff are all too capable and willing to foster creativity and community in the kids by helping to gently teach game rules and help answer gaming questions. Last but far from least, the Java game haus is a diverse and inclusive workplace and space that takes a stand against bigotry and knows better than to tolerate regressive hateful ideologies in its doors. Whether you are new or old to RPG's, MTG, or just looking to find a new hobby destination, JGH is the place to go.

Not much to say about this place other than, I came here once and I have to say, it does look like the kind of place to get your geek 🤓 on! [Laughs] it only costs $3 to get in and they do offer refunds. But the place was packed and I didn't have anywhere to sit and join the nerds playing together, although I'm sure they wouldn't mind a noob (such as myself) joining in with them. I might come back one of these days!

Big space lots of tables to play, loads of games, magic, dnd, etc.. Massive selection of board, card, puzzle, and other games. Decent selection of snackables and beverages.

They have a nice stock of Citadel and Army Painter supplies. I go here instead of GW. They also have 40K stuff in stock, small selection, but you can find a hard to find gem or boxed game that sells out everywhere else typically. Hopefully they expand their selection a little more.

Phenomenal Friendly, Local, Game Store. We just hung out there all week for Free RPG day (as a family) and had a tremendous amount of fun. Love this place!

Used to come here to play boardgames with friends and it was fun. But I've now gotten into magic the gathering and love coming here and playing with new friends I made at Java. All the workers make me feel like I'm a part of a happy family being there. It's much better then other business where the workers act like they don't want to exist. This place is the best place to go to play magic and boardgames, meet some cool people, and to buy all the TCG, Warhammer, etc. Products you could need.

I love this place we have been going here for over 2 years.we play DND here almost every week .The staff is nice and the food and drinks are good.The only problem I have is the bathrooms are always dirty ,the last couple of times I've been there the bathrooms have been really bad ,they looked like they hadn't been cleaned in days and just smelled like straight up pee.I love java game house I just wish the bathrooms were a bit more clean.Other than that it's a great place and would definitely recommend this place as a great gaming spot.

It was a great experience. We loved playing the games available. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We even accidentally spilled coffee on a game and they were completely understanding and didn’t get upset with us at all.

Great local game store. My wife and I came back to MTG after a twenty year hiatus. Staff was great to talk to and happy to catch me up on the changes to the games; make recommendations to finding specific cards for playstyles I'm interested in. Java has become my starting point for business when I'm looking to find anything related to the hobby. I also haven't had anything from the cafe that wasn't great. Looking forward to their expanded storefront!

Great experience. They do get busy, especially on the weekends, so if you don't live close, maybe call first. It is $5/person age 10 and up. The pastries we got were yummy.

I've only been here once besides just checking it out, but it's pretty cool. 4 stars because I have nothing to compare it to, not for any fault of theirs.

I went to a D&D game and I had a great time. It was the first time playing 5th edition. The dungeon master and other players was amazing patient. Thank you for a great time.

Lovely store, but seems like they are having staffing issues.. was difficult to get a response as to why they wouldn't entertain buying cards or even looking at them within a weeks time. 😕
