Y'all they got breakfast sandwiches now!! For like $4 too!?! And they got good beer to boot!

Fantastic taproom. Went home with a couple of cans. Amazing selection for even the pickiest patron. Wasn’t able to enjoy the tap selection this time but was thoroughly impressed with that menu as well. Can’t wait to come back.

If you see this automatically come here. Listen I ran across this place, and have absolutely NO regrets. Atmosphere is great, and the music matches for sure. Service has been attentive, drinks are filled and refills are asked for. Food has gotten the highest rating so far at a SOLID EASY 8.5/10. Add this, and maybe a little bit of this taken off. it’s minuscule. This place is a golden gem in the area. Great food, great service, great mixed drinks. Do I need to continue?! Stop reading and go now. Our server was Francis she was 10/10 bartenders didn’t catch her name, but continue making all the drinks lol. BOH: I gave one of you a hung because those COLLARD GREENS! y’all need to stop 10/10.

Warning. Long post that has nothing to do with the available beer or the atmosphere but everything to do with the owner. Unfortunately, I have seen bad reviews on the new owners but have always defended Smitty’s and even recommended it and brought friends in to counter the “good ole boys” reputation our local craft beer joint seemed to turn into. I honestly didn’t think that was the case…until today. And I get it’s his bar and he can treat his customers anyway he wants. But it was also obvious that Aaron “over served” himself - not the first time we have witnessed this but it will be the last, because despite coming in quite frequently since the original owners opened JCB and since it transitioned over to “Smitty’s”, we will not be back. Long story not so short, being St. Patty’s Day, I wanted to get a fresh Guinness and was hoping for a Growler of Smithwicks to take home to have with dinner. As we entered the pub we can tell there was a good time being had by the crowd. The band was just wrapping up and Aaron and the other person behind the bar was conversing with the crowd. I ordered a Guinness, my husband a pint of Smithwicks and my 30 year old son some other beer that was on tap. That is when we found out Smithwicks was sold out (but they had another red ale on tap) so no harm to foul. But that is also when my son realized he had forgotten his wallet. At that point Aaron refused to serve any of us. I understand not serving him because of no ID so I gave my son the keys to go back home to get it. That’s where things went off the rails and Aaron started to lay into my son for being irresponsible and leaving the house without his wallet. When I tried to explain we literally came up last minute to get a growler to go but decided to stay because it looked like everyone was having fun. On top of that my son tried to tell him he didn’t really want a drink but just came up with us since he was in town visiting for the weekend. However, Aaron couldn’t take a breath long enough to get a word in. Aaron then said that he will go against his judgement, and how much he could get I trouble for it, but he would serve my son. I tried to say that wasn’t necessary as he didn’t want a beer and if he did he would go get his license to ensure everything was on the up and up. Aaron kept insisting that wasn’t necessary but that he didn’t appreciate being put in that situation. At that point we tried again to tell Aaron that he was leaving to get his ID and again Aaron said no need but again started to give him grief for not having a license. After 5 minutes of this back and forth and listening to my son getting berated I realized trying to reason with this belligerent drunk wasn't going anywhere so we opted to leave the establishment. For the last time. Really quite sad, because if Aaron just kept his mouth shut long enough to realize there truly wasn’t an issue here, he may not have lost two otherwise loyal customers plus others who we may have brought in with us.

The entire bar staff and owners are awesome. This is a must if you want to chill out and enjoy some great craft beers.

The owner, Aaron, is a blast! Not to mention, he works 8 days a week and 32 hours a day! He's busting his a$$ to make that place a staple in Jacksonville! Great place, prices, atmosphere, and lots of laughs!

I found this gem through the 2023 Pub Pass in October 2023. I love the selection of 32 craft beers, which include 12 from Florida. And the selections change and rotate, which has been amazing! There is something for everyone. Not sure what to choose? No problem. They sell flights of beer or mimosas. Don't have time to stay, not a problem. You can purchase from their cold case or my preference is ordering a 32 oz. crowler of one of the tap beers and taking it home. They are working out the food issue and allow you to bring in food from the 6+ different restaurants in the plaza. But what I love about them the most is their sense of community and wanting to help people. They opened on Christmas 2023 and people brought a dish or snack to pass. It was amazing to see people who admitted to being alone, gather over fabulous food, and to meet new friends. That alone should convince you to try them out. You won't be disappointed. Gail and Aarron will take good care of you!

I love this place and it's even a much more better experience with the new ownership. The staff is an absolute pleasure. The atmosphere is what a neighborhood bar should feel like. The beer is always cold and my wife loves the wine that is offered.l, these gents really know what they are doing. This is a true gem in the Mandarin area.

The owner was very nice and actually opened the doors back up for us after having closed for the night. He was super friendly and helpful! I’ll definitely be back

Super selection and customer service

Used to come here for the great craft beer selection and the friendly bartending staff. Now under new ownership I'm seeing Bud & Miller Lite and Mich Ultra on a craft beer menu? And it seems to have taken on an Eagles theme. I'm not going to hang out at a place with the worst fans of any NFL team. Don't believe me? Look it up.

This place is a must!!! They always say change is a good thing, and the saying is spot on. I can't say enjoy about the new owner and the staff. Always making you feel at home. The variety of beers is great! They even have taps for the ones who just like the regular beers. Make this your usual pit stop. Don't have to travel far to get a cold craft beer. I encourage my locals in Mandarin to try it out, they will not disappoint!!!

Under new management. No food yet you can order fron the nearby restaurants. Allot of draft and can/bottle choices. Nice wines. Wednesday poker Thursday trivia. Very clean with comfortable seats. Tvs n sports. Friendly staff.

Friday night, not crowded. Good place to chat with friends. Good service, friendly employee. Got food from next door and came to try some brew. Not sure if something was messed up but a couple of the beers tasted flat - could have just been the beer itself. However, the reason for the low rating is that none of the beers were cold - they were cool but not cold and they did not have any non-alcoholic options for designated drivers. #VickieTravelz

Great service, excellent assortment of beers, and you can order pizza that gets delivered to the place from 5 stars pizza/ This place has fun events pretty much every other day, worth following for the schedule!

This is my go to for great beer. They got a lot of hard to find beers at this location. Great staff and really cool events happening all the time.

If you like craft beers and don't want to drive all over town, this is a great spot for all variety of drinks they have on tap. And if you don't like what they have on tap they have different selection of drinks in their cooler as well. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable on drinks. You can also order food from the neighbors next door and eat there as well. Also they have some TV's to watch some of the games they might show especially for college and NFL.

Everything was great our beertender April was wonderful

Very nice staff. My wife and I went because they were hosting improv. We don't drink, but we bought a couple of sodas; they made ordering food from a nearby establishment very easy. Appreciate the selection of board games they had!

Good place to chill out. Apparently the night we went thru had poker going on. And then shortly after they had a two person live band. We decided to sit outside. They had the heater going. Great service! Thanks April!

Great selection and very knowledgeable bartenders. They also do events for businesses! Or 30 beers on draft and a whole wall of can and bottles to chose from, take home, and enjoy!
