I went there because I remember eating delicious food before, but the taste of the food was so bad that I was shocked.

Food, Service and Atmosphere was exceptional!!!

Our go to Korean BBQ restaurant for many years. After covid, the parking lot dining tent has become a permanent fixture.

Sashimi Sushi Kimchi is a great Korean restaurant. The tuna is cooked in a unique way. Whether it is raw fish, grilled fish face, or fish soup, it is always fresh and delicious. 👍👍👍

Our Korean BBQ combo was a virtual kaleidoscope of flavors and textures! We were dining within 5 minutes of being seated. They should ditch the Christmas music, though....🤣 Still--what a feast!

The price has become too expensive, and the portion has been terrible. And the food is too bad. However, the service of the staff was satisfactory. I won't go to this place anymore .

The server gave exceptional service to us, while being the only one on the floor. He was extremely kind, and was doing everything there. I highly recommend this little gem!

I don't get to make it out to LA to often but when i do, i can always count on Kang Nam to satisfy my cravings for comfort food. There was ample parking and no waiting, we were able to get seated right away. We ordered the Bibim Naeng Myun and a grilled fish dish. Both dishes were tasty. They have a huge assortment of dishes. Service was good. My only complaint was i had to ask twice for a refill of one of the sidedishes. If you are in the mood for traditional Korean comfort food, give this place a try.

You get exactly what's advertised. Pretty good quality and when it's not totally busy, they'll attend to the grilling and turning of meats, along with a rather tasty collection of side dishes ~ which are of course complimentary. However, we discovered the ice cream really wasn't included, as is typical at other Korean joints. We didn't mind, because first of all, the total package is reasonable for what you get, second, it was like 20 bucks for good ice cream for the group.

Didn't stay too long. Prices are ridiculous..

The food was average. To be fair, we came in for a late dinner and we can only order from the menu. Found a fly in one of the dishes, they just offered to refund for that one dish but no one apologized.

Cold noodles and kalbi combo is the best here!

不在韓國城的韓國料理 停車還算好找 路邊的巷子裏都有得停 室內空間很大 食物份量很大 味道就是正宗的韓國料理 只是吃完的隔一天就會忘記味道了 不知道是不是因為太普通

강남회관이 변했네요. 수십년 오랫동안 강남회관이 지켜온 “신선한 식재료와 깔끔한 정성이” 사라지고 요즘 확실히 변했음을 느낍니다.

Great old school Korean restaurant in LA. The place has been around for like 40 years, so they must be doing something right. My dad says this place reminds him of Korea, so we usually go there to celebrate occasions. They got pretty big private rooms which make it great for that. We always get BBQ, and it never disappoints. They have sushi too and it's pretty solid. Highly recommended.

Whether a novice or pro, these lovely ladies dish out a fantastic experience. between a tray of fantastic pickled vegetables to the assorted meats, the menu is expansive and definitely worth asking a few questions. Get to know your server, they often have the best recommendations Come hungry. 10/10 would recommend.

스시와 해산물 모두 싱싱하고 맛이 좋았어요, 특히 서비스로 나온 연어머리 구이가 너무 좋았구요, 모든 음식이 정갈하고 서비스하는 웨이츄레스 아줌마가 꼼꼼하게 잘해줘서 너무 편한 저녁시간이 되었습니다..

움식값은 많이 올랐는데 음식의 질운 이전과 비교해 많이 떨어졌네요 ㅠㅠ 좀 더 신경을 쓰시면 좋을거 같아요

They take table service in the tent where it used to be the parking lot. The tent is humid, unsanitary, tables are sticky.. Food is horrendous, every main dish we ordered, 4 of them,tasted different than what its supposed to be, except the cold noodle and the side dishes. All spicy soaps and jungol tasted the same and bad. Service is slow and lacking, food arrives lukewarm. I do not recommend this place due to lack of hygiene and food quality.

Service was very poor and the lady at the front (owner) was very rude.

I absolutely love this place! It’s a great place for a double date or something a little bigger. The panchas are top notch and the bbq itself is out of this world! The servers are very attentive and helpful. They’ll even come by and help grill it for you.

Very traditional style of KBBQ! Very earnest and not as flashy as some of the other KBBQ places in LA. Definitely not a crazy wait, which is nice if you want simple and quick KBBQ. They are hosting primarily outside in their parking lot cus of COVID and have heat lamps near the tables. They come out and help cook all the meats too so don't need to worry about doing it yourself unless you really want to. They also served it onto our plates once it was prime for eating. Overall, it was a good and classic KBBQ experience! Would definitely come back here if as it was very affordable and delicious.

Kang Nam is always a favorite of mine. Welcoming hostess, EXCELLENT wait staff, and nice atmosphere. Food is consistently well prepared and priced right. Very clean and inviting. Very enjoyable. They have a parking lot on the side street.

갈비냉면은 좋았는데 새끼미 냉면은 맛이 없어어요 간도 안맛고 뭐가 심심한느낌 다음엔 쌔끼미 냉면은 안먹겠음..

Great outdoor seating setup and food was okay, nothing special.

My review is for the food growing up with a palate for home cooked Korean food. The flavor here has gone down hill. Not sure if they changed chefs, but seems to have happened post quarantine. The only dish I like here right now is their hae dup bap, which is basically a bibimbap (with different veggies and modified red pepper paste) with sashimi.

Totally different taste. I love cold noodle soup Nangmun.

Via tripadvisor dit restaurant gevonden. Een keer iets anders uitproberen dachten wij. De bediening hielp ons daar goed bij. Ze gaven prima uitleg. We kregen vooraf kleine Koreaanse hapjes van het huis om te proeven. Voor de kinderen hadden we sushi besteld (ze hadden ook een kleine japanse kaart). Het is de bedoeling met stokjes te eten maar ze zagen al snel dat onze kinderen dit lastig vonden. We kregen daarom bestek. Na afloop Koreaanse thee gekregen. Heel leuk om een keer uit te proberen en ook zeer lekker!

A friend brought me to this place during Thanksgiving holidays. Pretty wide range of Korean and Japanese dishes. We ordered a sashimi platter, grilled eel, Korean BBQ beef and a couple of korean stews/soups. Portions are healthy / generous including the number of side dishes. Service is pretty good for a Korean restaurant. Restaurant layout is a little odd (perhaps they have expanded a couple of times) and hasn't been renovated in a while. Prices aren't cheap but given the portion sizes, side dishes and service levels, quite fair (lunch specials - we didn't try them - are pretty inexpensive).

Voor het eerst Koreaans gegeten en mede door de bediening een ervaring om te herhalen. Een alleraardigste mevrouw leert ons hoe we pakketjes van sla moeten maken waar we ons vlees in doen. Het smaakt verrukkelijk. Na 2 dagen nogmaal hier gegeten, en kwamen erachter dat je auto door iemand weggezet en gehaald wordt. De bediening was wat stugger, maar al snel kwam de dame van 2 dagen ervoor een praatje maken. Het eten was wederom heerlijk.

If you're looking for authentic/classical Korean food - then, this is a little hidden gem near Koreatown in Central Los Angeles (near Crenshaw and Olympic). They have excellent bbq ribs, cold buckwheat noodles, stews, etc. But, the highlight is the array of side dishes that they give you with your main course - which is the traditional Korean meal. (Note: for those living in Europe - if you go to a Korean restaurant - oftentimes - they charge you for the individual side dishes - which is not the case in most Korean restaurants in the U.S.). The service was exceptionally good - friendly, helpful, but not overly so. However, if you're looking for an aesthetically 'fine dining' experience - then, this is probably not the place for you. But, if you're looking for something a bit more authentic, excellent cuisine and great service, then, definitely a hidden gem worth checking out. (Beware for foreign visitors however - this part of town - as is the rest of Koreatown and Central Los Angeles - can get a bit dangerous. So, be alert). Not far from Wilshire - so, you can go visit the museums there afterwards (i.e. La Brea Tar Pits, LACMA (Los Angeles Museum of Modern Art), etc.).

Nous ne somme pas du tout habitué à la nourriture coréenne, on est entré par hasard et nous n'avons pris un SPECIAL BENTO BOX, c'est très copieux, nous n'avons pas réussi à tout manger. La serveuse nous à bien guidé quand on ne comprenait pas la carte, elle a même fait des dessins pour mieux expliquer. Donc pour les connaisseurs de coréen, nous pensons que c'est une bonne adresse.

We were staying at a hotel nearby and found this restaurant via TripAdvisor. The food was authentic and delicious. Price didn't quite match the staples. Coke out of a can with paper napkins didn't quite match the ambience. Food was really great.

I have been eating here for 30 years. At various periods when I lived closer, multiple times per week. Everything is freshly made, the ingredients are of high quality, and the service is impeccable. It is an old school restaurant with superb Korean food, with normal tables for BBQ cooking, as well as a comfortable sushi bar with a TV to relax by. Alcohol is served. Perfect for lunch or dinner, whether eating alone or with a group. The fish cake soup ( o deng) is the best in the city, as are the beautiful side dishes that come with every meal.

Nur 5 Minuten von unserem Motel entfernt haben wir fantastisch koreanisch gegessen. Ein netter Biergarten mit der Möglichkeit, am Tisch zu grillen. Wir haben Squids mit Gemüse gegessen. Es gibt diverse Vorspeisen vom Haus die alle soooo lecker sind. Die Bedienung war freundlich und zurückhaltend, erklärte uns alles, was wir wissen wollten. Werden morgen wieder hingehen. Es ist ein Gaumenschmaus und gut verträglich.

Located in west end of K-town with sparse traffic and its own parking lot, Kang Nam Restaurant serves up Korean food the way grandma made it. With a very comprehensive Korean menu, K-N also serves excellent Japanese food. Frequently we go with groups of 8-12 as they have about a half dozen private rooms.

If you're in LA, this is a place you have to stop by. It's been there for like 30+ years and is a great example of old-school Korean food. The restaurant started out as a place to serve Korean immigrants good food from the homeland and remains popular among Koreans in the area. I always enjoy naengmyun (cold noodles) with the various grilled meats (galbi, bulgoggi, etc.) and have yet to find a place in LA that does all of these so well. The chef/owner really cares about quality as he buys his own meats, fish, and produce daily. You can't get more old-school than that.

Extremely fresh ingredients, excellent service. Some of the best tasting Korean food I've had. Husband and wife are owners with the husband being the chef and the wife managing out front. Restaurant is very busy so that tells you people like to eat there. We go there every time we are in LA and it never disappoints.
