Chef Annubis was one of the best chefs we’ve ever had! He made everyone laugh and feel special! The drink and appetizer server at the table was also very quick and attentive and he and the chef had a quick witted banter that elevated the mood even more. From the moment we walked in until we left it was perfection.

Today, my family and I went to Kobe to celebrate my parents birthday, and they made it such a special and wonderful experience. The food and customer service were top-notch. Our chef and server were funny, outgoing, polite, and friendly. I especially appreciated that Miguel 'The Guapo' was able to speak Spanish to my parents, providing them with an excellent experience. We are definitely coming back! Thanks to Miguel, the chef, and the staff for making this day memorable for us and everyone there. I forgot our Chef name but here is a picture of him. He is a 10/10 with his humor and skills. I highly recommend this location. Food and drinks were super good. Thanks!

Randy and Aaron was AMAZING!!!!! definitely ask for then whenever you come to this Kobe’s! he’s very nice and funny. felt like i was having a live comedy special! he showed my party tricks that i haven’t seen from any other place. the restaurant is nice and clean and everyone is so nice and attentive. definitely recommend if you’re in the area, or drive down make that trip for Randy and Aaron. Randy and Aaron are worth it!!!

Walked in on a Tuesday. Was welcomed by the Chef “Ichiban” and he was absolutely great. Would recommend him as the hibachi chef everytime.

On Thursday, August 29th, 2024, my wife and I went to KOBE Japanese Restaurant in New Tampa. It was a special occasion for us. We decided to have some appetizers and a drink or two at the bar. And after that, have dinner. The two items we ordered at the bar were a great disappointment – (1.) The Vegetable TEMPURA we ordered was nothing but breaded vegetables. There was no TEMPURA batter. (2.) The TEMPURA French fries we ordered were nothing but regular fries. There was no TEMPURA batter. (3.) The plum wine I ordered was heavy sugar water. There was no taste of plum or taste of wine. We told the bartender that here was no TEMPURA on our plates. He knew about it but he did not say anything & was not about to do anything about it. We consumed what we were served and left, without ordering any dinner. The reason I am giving this review is “BUYER BEWARE”. Do not get carried away by Japanese Restaurants and by the names of their dishes & show and do not misuse your money and your time. We will never go to the KOBE Restaurant again.

Gabriel was our waiter and checked on us thoroughly and made sure we were taken care of. Anubis was our chef and I have never had a better experience with a chef. He was funny, charismatic, and you can tell he loves his job. Glad he didn’t lose his face tonight and I hope he eats some good carAmel tonight ;)
