My husband and I shared a large classic with gravy on the side and it was amazing. Highly recommend.!

Whenever I'm in the area on my travels I make it a point to stop and have a Pasty . Always fresh and hot , you can buy them frozen and in large quantities if you prefer to take some home .

It's been a long time since my last pasty, so I had lots of questions, and the young lady behind the counter was incredibly patient, courteous, and helpful. Went with the beef pasty with gravy (she was a ketchup girl) and got a breakfast pasty for next day. Beef one was still hot when I got back to hotel and the breakfast one was outstanding after a minute in the microwave next morning. Crust and fillings were SO good! Service was Exceptional.

Friendly staff at the counter. Cute shop with tabes inside and out. We got our order to go, but it was still hot and delicious once we stopped to eat it. We'll be back!!

So good. Temperate was perfect and so filling. Brought some frozen minis home and they were just as good.

Tonight we did a blind taste test of 5 different pasty shops, across 3 cities. 7 of the 8 adults who tried beef pasties ranked Lawry’s as the clear winner. This was the first time we tried Lawry’s but now we’ll definitely have to return. Sadly, we were not able to try the veggie pasties because they were sold out.

I don’t know what the fuss is about pasties. My first visit to UP and was told I had to try it. Really nothing special. Maybe I just got the wrong thing.

Great party's. We got the frozen vegetarian and cooked them next day at home.

Well for our first visit to the UP everyone told us "you have to get a pasty, they are amazing". Based on the reviews we read, Lawry's was supposedly the best the UP has to offer and place to go. When we entered the shop on a cold rainy day we expected good customer service. What we did get was a less than enthusiastic young man behind the counter. We reviewed the menu and placed our order. The server pulled these pasties out of a warmer box and dropped them in a bag. He did not ask if we were dining in or taking out (we were dining in). We were not asked if we want gravy or ketchup. No plates, knives or forks. We proceeded to sit at the table and pull out our first pasty which was the garden classic. When we bit into it and got mostly potatoes we got worried. Where are the vegetables? Next up was the classic 12 oz. pasty out of the bag.....wait, this is it??? When we bit into this mini calzone looking pasty all we noticed was the potato and onions.....very little meat. From images of traditional UP pastys online we expected chunks of juicy meat, potatoes, onions and carrots. What we got was dry shredded meat with mostly potatoes and onions. If this is the best the UP has to offer, it was a swing and a miss! Guess we will have to keep searching for what a good pasty is supposed to look and taste like. For now we walked away disappointed and hungry.

A tradition. Tasty meat pasty with good gravy. We shared the larger one with a small gravy. The shop is tired looking. The bathroom needs a renovation. But the food was good and inexpensive. Recommend

A natural born Marquette Yooper back for a visit. I dined in and then had them ship me a dozen pasties. Always great to have Pasties standing by for a quick meal. UP quality and FL sun shine.

They were very welcoming and had an all-around family feel. This was our first time trying a pasty, and it was a great experience. The shop was clean, the prices were very fair, and we didn't have to wait long at all.

I LOVE Lawry’s pasties (specifically the Garden Medley, although my partner loves the original, and breakfast pasty). Mercedes was so kind - you guys are lucky to have her and the rest of your awesome staff! Seriously love this place ❤️

First time I have ever eaten a Pasty. Food was good but I believe that eating a Pasty is definitely an acquired taste so I would have to try a few more options in the Pasty food group.

My husband and I stopped by Lawry's Pasty Shop on our way home to the Lower Peninsula for dinner last November. We got 2 beef pasties and a cudighi sandwich. The food was delicious. The employees there were friendly and nice. Didn't have to wait long to get our food either. We wished we would've bought more pasties to have at home. We'll be having some shipped soon. Definitely worth the stop.

Pasties are always amazing, whether take-out or dine-in. Service is friendly but they can be understaffed like a lot of places in the area.

The standard beef pasties, and breakfast pasties are very good. The person who waited on us was friendly, and the prices were fair.

Not my favorite pasty in the UP. I've had em from all over. Not the worst by far, just not my favorite. Still tasty and do the trick.

For locals and folks who know the area. This is the go to pasty spot. We buy several every time we’re in Marquette. Grandma Elma made good pasties for us as kids in Marquette. She’d be about 101 today. These are that good.

Having moved from Michigan to South Florida nearly 20 years ago, it's been a long time since I've had a real pasty. I was so glad to find out they're available to ship! We ordered 8 beef pasties, and everyone loved them! Just ordered another dozen!

First time trying a pasty and we got the original 12oz for seven dollars and it was soft fresh and full of flavor. I definitely am going back to get more before I come home.

It's a small fast casual restaurant. Many people order to go, so there are not a lot in terms of atmosphere. But the key is the food. We ordered two upper Michigan specialties, beef pasty and cudighi sandwich. It took about 15 minutes for the cudighi sandwich. It is worth the wait. But I think beef pasty stands out even more. The crust and the aroma of the filling are really unforgettable.

Stop everytime we drive north. Steaming hot, fresh out of the oven. Great road trip meal.

Stopped here on vacation to bring frozen pasties back to the lower peninsula. This shop was recommended by our family in the U.P. as the best. And they are! Cute place. Did not eat in the restaurant though.

These are great pasties! And they’re all very friendly. Just ordered some to get shipped out to Colorado. Zack did a great job helping me out on the phone.

We went there two days in a row. The first day we bought a Cudighi Sandwich for everyone in our group and a small meat Pasty for everyone to try a piece of it; in order to decide if we would like a pasty the next day for a meal. The hesitation on the pasty stemmed from a bad pasty experience my wife and I experienced just north of the bridge 20 years ago. Much to our delight Lawry's pasty was nothing like the dry flavorless hockey puck we had experienced all those years before at a different shop. The Pasty was moist, flavorful, and the crust was a delight as well. The next day we picked up large meat pasties for everyone in our group. We had a little ketchup on the side for a little acidic boost every once and awhile. However, these Trolls paired ours with Kemp's cottage cheese on the side and a fair amount of salt and pepper. If I had my Lawry's seasoned salt, I would not have used any ketchup at all. The "coodigee" sandwiches were a flavorful handful which were cut in half for multiple meals. The homemade bun was moist and the cheese and sauce were abundant in a pleasing way.

Delicious, had one and bought a frozen one to go for breakfast the next day, both were top notch delicious and I would recommend it to anyone looking for that traditional U.P. experience.

First time visit for lunch and it's a must stop the next time we're in the U.P. The beef pasty was delicious.

I was glad that they had vegetarian options and the staff was friendly. We were fortunate enough to have a nice cool day to sit outside.

Had the breakfast pasty to-go while visiting Marquette. It's kind of like a breakfast sandwich, plus home fries in a delicious pie crust. Filling but not food coma inducing.

Cute shop. Went there because we had never had pasties and wanted to try them while we were in Michigan. Zach took my order and was nice about explaining what everything was; he was kind, patient, and had excellent customer service skills. It was a fairly busy place on a Sunday afternoon, with several customers seated at the tables both inside and outside and several more getting their order to go. I got a classic beef pasty. It was a bit bland for my taste, but I don’t like ketchup, so I just ate it as is. I heard another customer ask for a side of gravy; that would have been perfect, but since I was almost done eating by that point, I didn’t bother getting any. The texture was good and I generally liked it; it could just use some gravy or at least some added salt and pepper. My husband ordered the Cudighi; we both really liked that one. Similar to a sausage calzone, but with bread dough rather than pizza dough.

I didn’t know what pasties were but was told its the UP’s favorite local dish. I was also told to either eat it with ketchup or gravy. My food was ready in basically 0 seconds, and the cashier was a really friendly guy who made this a more memorable experience :) its a nice shop, prices are totally reasonable, and most importantly, i loved my pasty! Its light on seasonings, but a heavy dish, so you won’t leave unsatisfied unless you don’t like potatoes. I would definitely come back!

This was my first time trying a pasty and I think this was a good introduction. The pasties were cheap and tasty and there was basically no wait for them. There's two sizes, but imo the smaller one is plenty. We also ordered an Italian sandwich, which we waited a while for (to be fair, the menu does say that they're made to order) but it was also pretty good!

Well, they certainly don't skimp here. First time visit in July 2023. The cudighi was massive and tasted great, though could have used just a bit more sauce. It was hot and fresh and the bread was excellent. The beef pasty was really good. Not dry at all like some I've had. Service was decent and the food was pretty quick. It was clean inside. Worth a visit.

Ordered the smaller size in beef, still very big ( gave a third to my husband to finish off) loved the crust was thin. Didn't know they offered gravy until a local requested a cup, not on the menu board.

We enjoyed a cudeghi which is a thing up here in the U.P. A delicious sausage patty with cheese and sauce. Very good. We split one and it was perfect!

We visit this location every summer when we come to the U.P. Their pasties are very yummy. We take home a dozen frozen pasties to naked at home.

Really loved this place. We had ordered pasties here for family and their reviews were tops, so had to try them ourselves. Bonus....they ship all year long so you don't have to wait until cool weather to have a pasty. If you can get here, do it. If you can't....pick up the phone. You'll be glad either way!

Are there better pasties? Yes there are better pasties. Will these pasties cure Pastry Deficiency Syndrome? Also, yes. These guys are famous for pasties because they make good pasties. I love that you can buy them partially baked and frozen. That's awesome. Since moving from Marquette, this is the best way for me to buy bulk pasties and bring them home. Good pasties, good guys, you can't go wrong.

I have had many pasties and i would have to say theirs is by far top notch.

Took home family pack of pastries which was to include coleslaw. When I arrived home no coleslaw. Called them they said I could come back but I was over half hour away. Stated they would leave a note for manager to give me call. Never received a call back.
