Great food, really good portions for the price.

Fish and scallops with fries delicious

Got the fish & chips and the shrimp & chips. Both were excellent. Open kitchen was very clean and everyone was pleasant. It's like most everything we have found in Bennington...quaint and cute. NOTE TO PEOPLE WITH ALLERGIES! They use the same fryer for literally everything, so if you have a seafood or fish allergy your selections might be very limited. It specifies this on the menu and website so it's not a surprise.

Ordered a large fish and chips, with beets and mayo. Fast delivery, home made style crunchy fries and a delicious and light fluffy fish. Kudos, long time I had not eaten such a good F&C. Large portion was very generous. Service was good and fast, with care and smile, and the ambiance is really royal and fun. Nice place.

I've never been to Regular Britain but the Lil' version in Bennington, VT seems like the real deal. The batter on the fish was perfectly golden and unbelievably crispy. I took a chance on something new and tried the mushy peas, but they must be an acquired taste, like marmite or monarchy. Their house branded root beer was really good too. Highly recommend.

Felt like being a classic chippy! The fish was perfectly breaded and delicious. Definitely worth the trip!

I happened to be visiting Vermont and spotted this lovely place as an option. Being from the UK originally, I had to check it out (for science!) and I was *very* pleasantly surprised! Li'l Britain stands alongside many good UK chippies I've frequented. The owners have created a very cosy UK-centric diner, and the food is absolutely top shelf. The chips are perfect, the curry sauce is excellent, the bangers were delicious and the fish was cooked to perfection. I'm absolutely amazed at this hidden gem and will definitely be back again next time I'm here!

Wow. Week of the Eclipse. Hungry and just passing though on Route 7 through Bennington. We saw your shop and struggled to find our way BACK to your shop. Glad there's a parking lot across the street. So glad we found it because it was spot on for the fish I was in the mood for. Perfectly cooked. Not greasy. Heaven. Chips - the greatest. Going to try more when I go back. "I will return." "I'll be back." I was too bust eating and enjoy this food to take a picture. But it was worth it. A Treasure. Should have taken some more food out.

I have to drive over 80 miles each way to eat in the restaurant but it’s well worth it. I am English and travel to England usually about once a year to visit my family and of course I eat Haddock and chips a couple of times when I’m there and I must say that none of the chip shops there compare to Lil Britain because when you buy food in a British shop it has been sitting around for quite a while on display in a heated cabinet but in Lil Britain I always wait for the food to be cooked and I know it’s fresh out of the fryer. Everything my wife and I buy there is delicious and the staff are so very friendly. I have no doubt that we will be back there ASAP, when you are running a business here in the USA and you hear it mentioned and recommend on a British radio station by Mark Goodier you know it has to be good. Keep up the good work folks.

A great little spot. Everything we had, (bangers and mash, fish and chips, scallops and shrimp) were great. Made fresh to order. Will definitely stop in again.

We love the food here. Miss the large selection of British foods for sale, though. This place would do well with a little remodel to make it look more like an authentic British pub. The atmosphere is kind of bland, but it's very clean, which is so important to me. Took my friend there, it was her first time at Lil Britain. She loved the food and will also definitely be back.

Wife and I stopped in when in town and we were extremely excited to try this place. Excellent food here. You should definitely try the fish and chips, but also the steak and kidney pie and mushy peas! Cute decor abound in the restaurant as well. Nice ode to England.

Nice little cozy place for fish and chips.

Perfect fish! Had fish and chips since I love fish. Haddock so similar to cod but a bit lighter and this was done perfectly. Moist and flakey with just the right amount of batter. I hate when I have to peel thick batter off to get to the fish. Perfectly prepared.

After a day of golfing, this was a last minute stop on the way home. Great little place and the quality of the food was really good. Would have taken pics but was hungry and forgot☺️

I have very good experiences with Lil’ Britain and they have amazing food. They even have valuable soccer cards for you to gaze at and British themed decorations. The only problem is the long wait for food. Last time I went, I parked in the back and called for my order. They were playing an announcement saying their opening hours and yada yada yada. It took so long for my order to come I wasn’t even hungry but it’s fine because the quality of the food most certainly makes up for it.

Wow! What an awesome chippy! Just like back in Glasgow. Fantastic haddock with the right amount of flavor in the batter. I suspected it might be a hit. If they had fried Mars bars I would give it 5 stars! Awesome job!

This place is great! The seafood is fantastic and nicely priced. The fries are a little tasteless, which is the only reason they get 4 stars instead of five (really, it's more like 4.8, but Google doesn't allow for more accurate rating, unfortunately). The place is small, so if you are going at peak times, it may be easier to order ahead and take it home. Really enjoyed this quaint British eatery!!

Yum!!! It's like they transplanted a chip shop from the UK and put it in VT. Fish covered in a thin crispy batter with hand cut fries, and I had the mushy peas. Got a sausage roll to go as well.

One of the last places in Bennington to get a true bargain. With the economy fluctuating as the weather, Little Britain has stayed true. Many restaurants shot their prices up as soon as gas prices rose, but not here. Still the same delicious food, at family affordable prices. Long live the Brit!

We love coming out to Lil' Britain for some really great fish and chips and a beautiful road trip out to Bennington! Really sad to see the goodies gone that we used to splurge on when we would go...but overall really great place for bang on english chips!

One of the best food places in town. But if you want British pub style food there is no other option, prices are reasonable and the firehouse burger with the chips and gravy sauce is life altering

A small unassuming place with a very nice staff. We loved all the food we got. Eating in was better than their take-out (which was the only way we'd had this before... during COVID they were carry out only). Fresh and crisp. Great Fish and Chips.

The cleanest friendly place I have been in a long while. The food was absolutely delicious. It’s been years since I have had decent Fish and chips. And this place was so delightful. Bathroom was immaculate. Floor, tables and chairs were so clean. I’m so impressed. We will definitely be back.

The fish and chips were top tier. What I was especially impressed by was the service. They kept everything warm until my party got there so it tasted like it just came out of the fryer. Glad we stopped here!

Great fish and chips and pie. We had the large fish and chips and a veggie curry pie. Both were excellent. The batter on the fish was thin, light and crispy. We also got cream soda which was yum- the sodas seemed local to them.

We arrived just before closing, but they provided 2 full meals with a smile. The food was great and the ambiance was quite like a small, British shop!

Spent the night in Vermont and stumbled upon this place. This was the best fried fish and fried shrimp I've ever eaten!!! The fish was so flaky with an amazingly crunchy crust. The shrimp was fried perfectly! Not rubbery at all with a delicious crunch. Even the fries were delicious. I would absolutely recommend eating here. Wish it was closer to me.

Still only doing curbside at this point? And with no indication that was the case anywhere online. There only web presence is a Facebook page that hasn't been updated since 2017. Had driven two hours and planned on checking them out. Not impressed.

With covid these folks have curbside pickup in the CCV/ Department of Health parking lot. Food is cooked fresh and always tastes good. Their prices have remained reasonable. We really like their cucumber salad, but it's seasonal.

Super nice fish and chips spot in VT. How's that possible but we're glad we got the recommendation to eat there. Stick with burgers and fish chip orders. Pies are OK and very all and won't fill your tummy

They do take out only which is fine. They will bring your food out to you to your car. Pay ahead with a credit card. Great little seafood place. They have some great sides . Not all seafood they have a great burger list excellent burgers.

I moved from England to NH six years ago. The one food I really miss is traditional Fish n Chips. On a visit to VT we found this gem of a place. Oh my goodness, so good and exactly like you would buy it in England. Thank You for making our day.

My gf and I ordered tonight and it was amazing! Steak and gravy pot pie was just the right size, flakey crust and the best brown gravy I have had in years 😁! My gf had the firehouse burger and that too was great! Good job guys we will be back very soon!
