Great little shop! Amazing bakery! I ordered a strawberry rhubarb pie for my sister's birthday and she was thrilled. She said it was one of the best she ever had!! I will definitely be back!

Quintessential Vermont! If you’re in Bennington, you have to go to the Apple Barn! The maple ice cream was excellent and the peach pie was the best pie I’ve had in my life!

I usually stop here after Vermont or west Massachusetts hikes to grab real local maple syrup or donuts, sometime they don’t have what I want. Visited on June 24-24, and a young lady was very helpful, but the black lady was showing aggressive behavior to young girl who was helping us. I needed to test the quality of syrup before buying and she was mad at her.

I don't know if it's new owners but the baked goods weren't good. The apple square you could taste the flour and a crumb cake had no flavor. It's too bad the old bakery was awesome

Used to go to The Apple Barn often prior to this new owner. I am local. Always a bit pricy, but the baked goods were delicious and they looked good. Last week-end I stopped to purchase muffins for breakfast. My sister was with me and we agreed they didn't look very appetising but bought them anyway. 4 muffins and 2 scones were $27!!! I almost choked when the clerk gave me the total. I am a baker and my muffins would put theirs to shame. Also, last Fall we stopped in to buy apples, and there were hardly no apples in the store. And one last comment, when you bought baked goods from the prior owner, they would be put into a bakery box. The $27 muffins I bought were thrown into a brown paper bag. I guess cutting corners, but charging outrageous prices.

Stopped in on Mother/daughter day with my 3 year old last weekend and she was delighted. The new owner and her brother made our day! We left happy customers with an apple cider slushie and mini donuts. Can't wait for the festivals this summer!!!

Everyone working here is so kind. Lots of cute souvenirs to purchase. Loved the apple cider, lemon bar, slushie, and Vermont cheddars. They also have a corn maze and two cute baby piggies around back.

Very disappointed by the grossly overpriced items in the shop. A bag of maple popcorn for $10, a caramel apple for $8, a small box of assorted jellies for $27. I could go on. I know I may be on vacation, but I did not leave my brain or sensibilities at home.

The Apple Barn Country Bake Shop is located on Rt 7 just south of Bennington. Fresh baked pies (apple, fruits of the forest, blueberry, etc.), cider donuts and other pastries are prepared and sold at the store. Also sold are cider, local cheeses, maple syrup, etc. Well worth a stop if you are traveling through VT on this route.

The pie was excellent! So were the other bakery items, including the apple cider donuts. Previous owners were using excessive sugar in everything. We will be stopping back when we are in this area.

Great Little country farm store where you can get fresh fruits. The store offers all kinds of local favorites from foods to knickknacks. The blueberry picking with sparse that day but it was a lot of fun family time.

Charming little country store. The unexpected secret is the little cafe that makes an excellent Italian sausage sandwich roll.

Great looking desserts. Not sure the pies are homemade. Lots of gift stuff and even some local wine. No produce of any kind which is what we came for.

They had a variety of cute touristy products that are made locally - their bakery is definitely the star of the show, though. Make sure to stop for a maple creamee here! They are so good!!

I've been going to the Apple Barn since I was a little girl. Our family used to go once or twice during each fall. I still love getting the fresh hot apple cider. I enjoy being able to get fresh local produce and homemade items. The bakery always smells AMAZING. Sadly it seems to of gotten drastically more expensive and they always seem to be out of cider donuts very early in the day. Nothing like a hot cider and warm cider donut on a crisp fall day.

First order tourist trap. High prices and limited selection of boring apple varieties. Never again.

Their dessert is to die for 🧡 Tried the pumpkin cake mousse thing and the peanut butter fudge brownie and both were amazing. The brownie is Rich and gooey while not too sweet. The pumpkin mousse cake was so moist and creamy. Definitely recommend. Also got a bad of the Wrap City potato chips. They’re life changing 🤤

Continues to go down hill. Far less inventory, with no more local beer or wine. Clueless staff who walked away and never returned when you asked a question, no bags at checkout. Same rude blonde lady at the main bakery checkout as last year.

This is a Bucket List stop if you don't live here--if you live here, it will be hard to stay away. We had the Apple Cinnamon Donut, the Raspberry Cinnamon Crumble and the Chocolate Chip Cookie. All worth every calorie!!.

it was a nice stop on a VERY needed long drive. the place was a bit empty due to closing soon, but that was OK. i was able to pick up a couple of snacks, and had a quick chat with the blue haired soul at the bakery counter ("you're local so i can say that" 😂) i did hear that y'all got rid of the pumpkin slingshot, so you definitely need to reconsider that decision. love to all!

It's a great little store with goodies that you want to have when you visit New England, like fresh baked apple cider donuts and maple syrup. At the moment, their bathrooms are closed. They brought in Porta-Potties if you can't hang on until you get to the next town.

The owner was right at the door when we walked in. She's so sweet and wonderful, as well as her husband. The selection was incredible and the service quick and friendly even though they had a busy Sunday crowd of parton's.

The Apple Barn Country Bake Shop was blessed with a 52 passenger tour bus on 9/21/21 but when we asked to be directed to rest rooms, we were told very matter-of-factly that there were two port-a-johns, like you would see at a construction site, waiting for us out in the parking lot. There was, of course, no flushing mechanism 🤭 nor anyplace to wash our hands afterwards. Most unpleasant. The shop itself was what you would expect, except for the unfortunate restroom accommodations. This is no way to treat a swell of customers with money to spend, ergo, the four-star rating.

Heard great things about the cider donuts. They were meh. But, I live close to Bartlett's in Richmond MA. So, I'm spoiled by the best cider donuts on earth. The Trucker Vermont cheddar and Black raspberry whoopie pie were absolutely divine, though. Four stars because of the cheese and whoopie pie.

Lots of goodies to eat and drink. Craft beer and wine. Jellies,stuffed olives,ice cream, fudge, popcorn and more.

The lemon bars are amazing here.

What a neat local shop!! Lea, the owner, and her staff, made us feel very welcomed and glad we were there. This place has a little bit of everything local. From all the homemade pastries, fudge, relishes, pickled garlic, coffees, popcorn, wearables and much much more. It is a must see stop if in the area! Plus you can take your picture with the "blue" moose out front! Ha! Ha! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!

This a lovely stop on your way into Bennington. Lots of Vermont merchandise. The bakery is definitely a highlight for me as I bought 2 chocolate whoopie pies. Difficult choice with the other pastries, the delicious looking fudge and ice cream. But no worries we'll be back to taste those as well.
