Lovely little place for breakfast, definitely recommend. We stopped here on our way back home from a trip to Mount Snow. The wait time was a bit long but our waitress was lovely, service was quick, and the food was absolutely delicious. I got an egg white omelette with sourdough toast and home fries…10/10! We’ll be back for sure.

Nice people, nice place and great food! We were on our hiking trip and stayed in this town for the first time. This diner was our breakfast place for the entire stay, we came here every morning. I liked my Greek omelette very much! Also the service is very nice and the people are super nice!

Very busy at 1030 in the morning but was seated right away. Didn't order food but others food looked very good. Could find a drink I wanted unless I drank coffee or soda.

We eat there often and always have a great experience. Even with really good diners in Bennington/Williamstown area, this place is by far the best. Food is great, always friendly.

This is a comfortable breakfast place. I am gluten and dairy free, and was able to order a nice breakfast. There is no dairy or gluten free option for coffee creamer or toast. Usually I bring my own plant butter and dairy free creamer, but today I forgot. Well, I was having a nice breakfast with my two brothers who I have not seen in a few years. We waited our turn to be seated. Less than 10 minutes after we paid our bill, the waitress asked us to leave!!!! I am not kidding. We were not even there for 45 minutes. She said they had other guests waiting to be seated. They had opened tables. We paid over $60 for breakfast. This is unacceptable! Bill and tip already was paid. Otherwise the tip would have been much less.

Do NOT sleep on this place, this diner was just the best! We just stumbled on Sunny Side Diner while driving around Bennington looking for gas and a decent breakfast. Didn't look like much from the outside, but once inside it turned out to be a real treasure of down home charm. Our server was as sweet as pie, the food was reasonably priced, abundant and delicious. Everything was just perfect! Not sure whether it's just a Vermont thing, but the toasted bread that came with our breakfast was so delicious that it alone is worth a return trip from northern NJ

The food was perfect! The corned beef Reuben and those fries! It was so clean and the service was kind. Just what we needed as we drove through to Boston. We’re excited to stop by on the way back to try something else!

Excellent breakfasts ( 2 meals...both were 1 egg, sausage, toast and homefries..$6.75 each and 1 Orange juice & 1 Cranberry juice) . My husband paid the bill...it was $41.+!!!! I can't believe that was right! Didn't even dawn on us till after we left that we were way over charged!!!

Stopped in for a quick breakfast while charging on the way to VT ski resorts. Very fast and friendly service. Homemade biscuit breakfast sandwich was quite good.

We dropped in for an extremely quick meal while traveling through their city. The service was VERY fast, but food wasn't made in a reckless way. Everything still tasted properly cooked and tasty. They made sure to ask and confirm any optional things and it helped kick off a great day. Worth the visit. My dad asked me to highly recommend their sausage patties for him.

This place is a gem. Wonderful breakfast offerings. Bread is not store-bought.

I had the western omelet with a side of sausage here. The food was good as were the atmosphere and service.

Microwaved french fries. Turkey lunch meat...when told by waitress roasted BY SSD. Cranberry sauce with little to none...essesnce if cranberry. Poor quailty Hot Turkey Sandwich. Friendly arrival. Surrly inhospitable crew as paying bill and departing. Locals sermed very happy conversing over breakfasts. Very midiocre to just not very good. Nobody at my table sa I d, lets go back. Crowded cashier counter upon entry. Could not get in..as customers leaning over counter talking...blocking door from ooening..and rudely didnt care about people arriving, trying to enter through only door. No welcome. Once in...after gossiping moved on...seater come over friendly to seat party.

Breakfast, Sunday AM. Good food and service. Very friendly staff that were attentive and not pushy. I had a hash omelette that was really good. One had chocolate chip pancakes that were good, but really light on the chocolate chips. Another had a waffle that was really good. Overall, a good meal - we didn't leave hungry! Bonus: they have strawberry rhubarb jam!

Crabby loud woman at reception by door. Probably nice but doesn’t realize how harsh she is. Shouted at guests who sat where she vaguely motioned for us to sit. They were embarrassed. I was sad for them.

Great food, great service, and an amazing environment! Everything we ordered was amazing and all the workers were so sweet! It’s also super cutely decorated inside which definitely added to the great experience! I would definitely love to come back the next time I’m in the area!

Went here for breakfast after a quick Google search. It’s delicious, they’re quick and friendly with the service, and they DO NOT skimp on portions. We ordered breakfast and ended up having enough for lunch and snacks too. We loved it and absolutely would go back.

Love this place BUT…the food is always good as well as the wait staff. Whoever mans the front desk needs a course in hospitality and customer service. Today I had to say hello twice when I entered (I was the only customer) and was never greeted with anything that resembled a smile. The woman and the younger girl the same. This always seems to be the case and just for me leaves a sour taste for the rest of the stay even though everything is great. A little greeting with a smile doesn’t cost anything. Heartedly Welcome your customers and you will get 5 stars! Unless you don’t care.

It's a great place for breakfast or brunch 😋 so we had a little wait to get seated. We were given a pager, so that was efficient. The food was delicious, recommended reading the specials board before you order, regret not doing that. So spacious inside, friendly staff 🙂

This restaurant is a solid homestyle Vermont diner with a good breakfast selection. Expect a 15-20 minute wait on weekends and holidays. We enjoyed a fluffy large short stack of raspberry pancakes with home fries (which could have used a bit more seasoning) and bacon as well as the sausage biscuits and gravy. All cooked accordingly and tasted good- affordable pricing and fast service!

It did the job - food was standard. Biscuts were a bit dry even with the gravy.

An enjoyable stop for a breakfast , served hot with decent service. My eggs, bacon and home fries came with excellent toast, believe it or not. We enjoyed the cinnamon roll and they are exquisite... Very large and absolutely delicious. Service was good, prices are quite reasonable, and there is a restroom on the premises. They take Visa and MasterCard.

Small diner, lots of chicken decorations for a quaint atmosphere. The food was good, the waitress and staff were friendly. Ample parking next to the building. No changing table in the bathroom, but bathrooms were clean. Prices were very reasonable for the amount of food.

Sunny side diner is a family friendly mom and pop diner. If you’re looking for a place to go with your whole family for sunday breakfast (or any other day) i definitely recommend Sunny Side. The breakfast menu contains the basics; pancakes, eggs, waffles, homefries etc. they also carry regular syrup and actual real VT maple syrup. The waitresses/staff is always kind and attentive. They offer notification buzzers so if there’s a wait you don’t have to stand in the doorway waiting to be called. My family usually has a party of 6 when eating here and we all eat for under $75 including tip (this is with meals, extra sides, coffee for the adults, drinks for everyone and refills) which is what it would cost for 2-3 people to eat at most of the other local restaurants.

Stopped today for breakfast. We both had Western Omelette with cheddar cheese. It was delicious. Good comfort food for reasonable prices The atmosphere was bright and cheery.

We have wanted to eat here for 7 years, but there's always a wait. Loved it, we'll be back.

A side of canned hash, two very undercooked eggs, and a cup of lousy weak coffee = $16 + tax (but the menu said a side of hash is $4.95). My friends were all overcharged too. Had to wait about 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Waited 30 minutes or so and had to seek out coffee refills. They weren't even that busy. No wonder. Who can afford it? This happens every time I go there. I spoke up about it and said I was done going there. It took me a very long time to say something about it because I was being polite and just sucking it up. But I knew I was getting ripped off. Their reply, "Good. We don't need you."

Overall not a bad experience although the parking lot is kind of wonky. There wasn’t much on the menu that wasn’t typical diner food, so you can most likely find all your faves here. The coffee wasn’t the best and whatever sausage they use was kind of bland but overall it was decent.

Stopped into here on a quick trip to VT. The service was absolutely great- super super quick! We ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, sausage, and western omelette and I have to say- it was the BEST breakfast we have had in a really long time! Everything was so hot and fresh and the home fries were so flavorful. 10/10 highly recommend!!

Yuuuuuumy! Everything was delicious (Western omelette, ham and asparagus omelette, home fries, strawverry rhubarb jam, and especially the butter rum muffin cut open and toasted)! Service was friendly and prompt. Prices are reasonable. There can be a wait, but definitely worth it!

While passing through Bennington, VT we had a wonderful breakfast in this nice corner diner. It’s classic in every way. The staff work hard in here and are quick and attentive. The blueberry and raspberry pancakes with real maple syrup are an absolute must! The biscuits melt in your mouth. We left happy and very full before working it off in the Green Mountains. Thanks for breakfast!

It's a "locals only" type place and it shows in their hospitality. And they will get their knickers in a twist if you order takeout--which was conveyed on Google when I ordered from them.

This is a straight up town diner with a good menu and friendly service. The place has a decidedly local vibe which some may enjoy. Food was of good quality. Test rooms were modern and clean. A great place to stop if you're interested in breaking away from national brand chains for quick meal. I would stop there again on a future trip.

First time eating at this place, had a 10 minute outside wait due to being a busy place and not allowed to wait inside, got inside , ordered food and was amazed on how fast the food came out within 5 minutes, food was great, service not so much, the wait staff eating at the counter and don't wash hands and server checked on us once from the counter as we were sitting at a table in front of the counter, I will not return to this place, 3 stars just because of the price and wait time of receiving food was great.
