Great place with excellent service!

Excellent prices, large portions. Cute and intimate atmosphere in a small train car type diner. Good sourdough!

Our waitress was sweet if a little dizzy. Had to ask for silverware kind of dizzy. Got the Buffalo chicken wrap, they forgot the blue cheese dressing. Hubby got the turkey club. They fries were delicious.

Classic diner from the 70s, very suggestive. The food is typically American (but there are also more "healthy" options), the portions are very generous. Nice staff.

Loved loved this diner! The food was great. Our waitress was awesome! We played a few songs on the jukebox. Such a great atmosphere.

Took away a star because this is VERMONT. You should charge extra for fake syrup, not the real thing. The dinner is in the maple syrup capital of the world. Come on.

Stopped for lunch because there were so many local license plates. Quite busy but worth the short wait. Hubby had a Reuben and I had a scramble Both were delish and large portions. I love diners.

Okay I love this place! The California Omelette is my favorite food. I crave it! The best thing I've ever eaten with some salt and pepper. I love French toast and ordered it, when I got to eat my to go order I realized it was BURNT!!! Yuck dude. If you do that remake it! You know I'm serious about the French toast if I'm also ordering real maple syrup. The food is always great, maybe someone was having a rough day and grilled it too long..... I get it. Just remake it. Don't throw it in the box and ship it off, it's gonna end up online.

Always a stop on our way to Vermont. The food is excellent, a true diner, the staff is lovely. Coffee is amazing, sausage is local, cheese is perfection and it's cozy. We've been four times and it's out favorite. We live in NY and we often drive 2 hours just to eat there for breakfast.

We ordered Greek omelette with home fries and toast. Presentation of food was disgusting. Omelette didn't look appealing. Home fries portion was less and burned. Home fries was not crispy but spices good. I asked for jelly. Server give jelly in a container and that probably would have used by many customers. Restaurants is unique and atmosphere is good. Coffee was fresh and taste good. This is my opinion but may be different for other.

I come here a lot with my family. We love the waitresses they are very friendly. The food is good everytime we came. We love bringing our quarters down and playing music on the juke box, its our favorite part of the restaurant. It is a small space but you feel like home everytime you come. I give this place 5 starts and try their biscuits and gravy its so good. Our kids love the chicken tenders and fries, they get it everytime. Must go to in Bennington.

Tiny diner with delicious food. I had eggs and blueberry pancake. Yum, yum! Husband had the burger and fries, loved it. Others has a roast beef club, and enjoyed thoroughly. Crowded at 12:15 as expected so we sat at the bar. Service was fast. Highly recommend.

Adrienne was great. Went to lunch weekend of mothers day. Tough space for screaming kids, but once they cleared out, all was great.

I love a good diner. The food here never disappoints. We came on a Sunday around 1230. There was a couple of ladies waiting in the entrance so we joined them. It wasnt long at all before we got a booth. We would've been seated sooner if we sat at the counter. Our waitress was efficient and pleasant. He had 3 eggs, homefries and 2 orders of english muffins. I'm not sure where he put it all but his plate was clean by the end. I had a burger that was exactly perfect. Bring quarters! They have tableside jukeboxes.

Dropped in for a quick bite to eat, ordered a grilled sourdough cheese & tomato sandwich. Cold tomato, lacked a quantity of cheese. However the grilled Rueden had plenty of filling & throughly enjoyable.

The food was very tasty… it was kinda tight in there and the booths were tighter than I expected… but I couldn’t really focus on eatting because my food kept dropping and I just gave up. The waitress was decent, at first she didn’t seem very nice, but she ended being in enjoyable!!!

A quirky diner that was so good we ate here every day while visiting family in Vermont! Reminded me of a vintage Airstream from our home state of Ohio and yet the food was chalk full of great vegetarian options! And I mean diverse, high quality options! From 6 - 61 we were all mighty satisfied!

I used to come here with high expectations and always left with high satisfaction. No longer can I say this. I honestly only go here now when I have a gift card from someone. The waitresses and atmosphere are great but the food is just sub par. If you do go, spare yourself a small cup of orange juice unless you want to pay a whopping 4 dollars per cup which are also tiny and not at all worth the price. Don't worry, the recipe says it was a "Large". Sorry Blue Ben, you've lost me.

The Bennington institution reborn! Love the Blue Benn for classic diner fare done right. Can be crowded on weekends for good reason. They do takeout but not on weekends since they are so busy. Don't miss the blueberry almond pancakes and always get the real VT syrup!

I have had many wonderful meals here and I will definitely return but I do not recommend the strawberry rhubarb pie. I grew up eating rhubarb from my mom's garden and was looking for a little nostalgia. There was no rhubarb taste, a bright red color and too much cornstarch filling - made me think of a canned filling. Maybe they make the pie crust (which was good). I've had the spinach pesto omelet many times and my husband loves the breakfast burrito.

holy $@%+...this place is sooooo simple yet perfect. The menu has a lot of options. Vegan sausages were DELICIOUS. Make sure to try the corn bread french toast too. They have huge portions of food. I would definitely come back.

Haven't been here in nearly 30 years. Doesn't disappoint! Fantastic diner and great service. Best breakfast in Bennington, and worth the wait. Arrived on Saturday around 9, full with a few waiting. We weren't picky and got the bar for 4 in less than 10 minutes. This is a must-visit breakfast spot.

First time my husband and I have been back to Blue Benn since they first reopened a few years ago during Covid19. It was terrific then and was terrific for lunch today. We both had the turkey club sandwich with fries. We waited for a booth to open up rather than sit at the counter, which took less than 10 minutes before we were seated. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Our food was delicious and the price was quite reasonable. We've had comparable meals at other locations in town and paid more. I've always enjoyed a good diner meal and this was one of them. We'll be back for sure.

The diner is everything you'd expect it to be. The waitresses knew their regulars well. There are tables with musuc boxes along one side and bar seats along the other. I had their signature sandwich; the Blue Benn Rueban. It was excellent. The bread was crispy, and the corned beef was stacked high. It was served with two thick pickle rounds and rippled potato chips. I recommend it.

This is a small diner that, I guess, looks today what it looked like when they opened many years ago. They have limited seating capacity but it is worth watching for. Most of the patriots seem to be regular as I observe many that didn't need a menu, and the waitress knew the order when they arrived. I have to remark the the three-egg omelette I ordered looked like it was really made of three regular eggs, unlike what they look like in many other places.

Nastalgia is the only word that comes to mind when dining here. The food choices ate classic, well prepared and served by a friendly staff. Enjoy what dining used to be like in the 50s and 60s.

We love Blue Benn! A popular spot for leaf peepers, locals, and families of Bennington students. Sometimes there’s a wait for booths but almost always an open spot at the counter. Love the old school vibes and the usable mini juke boxes at the booths!

I came here very often as a child with my grandmother, and it was so exciting to return. The Benn hasn't changed a bit in 20 years, and that made me very happy. One of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time!

If you are used to eating quality, seasoned food that takes more than 4 minutes to cook I would not come here. The food was so greasy, had no flavor, or seasoning. It cateres to the type of people who live in the area...I tried a bite of everything on my plate and could not eat any of the food which I still had to pay full price for. Would not recommend to anyone who enjoys quality.

Had the Turkey and Broccoli on sourdough. Pretty good, the bread was a bit tough. But an awesome little diner. The food there is great, eaten there many times. The service is top notch.

Sat down for a meal and before the food was even delivered the owner screamed at and cussed out an elderly woman. We left before the food even arrives. Worst dinner experience we've ever had. Will not be coming back

My 11 yr-old daughter and I stopped for breakfast at the Blue Benn because we needed some pancakes before we left town. I told my daughter they might just be the best pancakes I have eaten, but I had to change it to: the best pancakes ever, excluding the pancakes she makes at home for her family. Walked right in and sat at the counter, the best place to sit at in such diners, in my opinion. Service was quick and the pancakes were delicious. Bacon too! Great Diner atmosphere! Will be back

I discovered THE BLUE BENN back in 1992. And since then, have always made it a point to have a meal there if I am within an hour or two from Bennington. This is a DESTINATION spot if you are a diner fanatic or just want a great meal experience. The food, service and atmosphere does not disappoint. This is a nostalgic diner that consistently delivers in food and service and has not changed a bit since I first came here in the 90's. The only thing that has changed is the computerized hand held devices that have replaced the simple order pads. Aside from that, even the prices have stayed the same since I first found this establishment in 1992. Yes, the prices are still the same. If there is any reason to stop in Bennington, Vt, it's to experience a hot meal at THE BLUE BENN.

Typical diner fare. Small dining area maybe 6-7 booths. Around 10 counter spots. Prepare to wait in the “foyer” if you want a booth. Food was good.

Not friendly! My husband and I went to the Diner the day of our Anniversary. The restaurant was packed so we sat at the counter. We were asked if we would like a drink, I ordered a water as I don't drink while eating my husband got a coffee. Waitress never said a word dropped the drinks off and immediately returned to eating at the pick up kitchen window. All 3 waitresses were eating. One was eating putting her fingers in her mouth and at one point licked them. Never washed her hands. DISGUSTING AND UNSANITARY. We sat waiting to order our food for 10 minutes while they stood there chatting and eating. Um where was the service!!! Finally we disrupted them to order at which time our waitress had an attitude, wasn't friendly when we asked about the meal options. We ordered she turned around again without saying a word to us. To me this was not proper service and VERY rude. We had to interrupt again to get my husbands coffee refilled. This waitress had time for herself to check her phone, eat her meal, and chat with other employees but not properly take care of us. Right before we got up to leave an elderly man sat next to me , the same waitress adressed him with a smile, his name, and asked will it be your usual. So my question why were we treated so badly? Is it because we were not regulars? We did get have a nice day by the older waitress that ate with her fingers. I would NOT recommend or return to this place again.
