Best ever deli sandwich ever. Friendly service and greeted by the owner. Wow. My first time there but won't be the last.

As a Bennington native that left in 2022, we always look forward to stopping in at Your Belly's the few times a year we are visiting. Today I was absolutely shocked by the prices. There is never a justification for a $15.00 sandwich served with chips. Pastrami and Roast should never be the price of turkey or chicken salad. Yes inflation was high, but these prices are higher than they were just in April. Unfortunately, we will make the choice to no longer patron this business based off their choice to continue to raise prices that don't match their average patron.

The owner was there, talking, joking with patrons and it made it feel very welcoming. Not to mention the food was terrific. Side street deli, not to be missed.

What a treat! Stopped in for lunch last week and had the Buddha Belly followed by a slice of maple cheesecake. Both were divine! Highly recommended, especially if you're visiting or passing through Bennington.

Great sandwiches and salads. Glad we drove downtown on our road trip.

Started with a smooth operator, that was delicious and now I'm going to have to try everything on the menu. Really wish there were more hours. Everytime we want a sandwich they are closed.

Best part of this lunch was the water. Sandwich was soggy with pesto even being grilled. Ate the turkey with a fork as the bread had disintegrated. Server didn't care. Won't be returning

The staff is super nice, the food is delicious, and the AC is strong! Had an amazing lunch here. I got the Uncle Alfred sandwich and it was SO good. Highly recommend.

Came here for a little birthday luncheon with my Nana and mom. I had some cheesy tomato soup and a quesadilla. Both were exquisite! The staff was also exceptionally friendly.

Best deli in bennington. I eat here at least a couple times a week! Big sammichea, great soups and wraps. Closes around 3pm so definitely a lunch spot.

Wish I'd read the reviews before ordering a sandwich for takeout. I will never give my business to this place again. Employees were rude, with 4 working behind the counter while the owner schmoozed with a customer, and my one sandwich took forever to make. A couple that came in a few minutes after me for takeout ordered two sandwiches and 2 cups of soup, and left before I did with their food. Ridiculous, given the place was essentially vacant while I was there waiting for my order. Extremely expensive for a simple sandwich, especially considering I've learned that takeout orders don't include chips while dine-in orders do (yet both are the same price).

Went there for the first time found the food and atmosphere. Wonderful will be my go to place.

Really cute spot with lovely staff located in old Bennington. It was the perfect little lunch spot to stop and fuel up after walking the town.

Very good service and food, I really enjoyed the quiche and salad

After several times having lunch here we still find it one of the best lunch places in the area. Charming atmosphere and nice variety of lunch offerings on the menu. My husband and I each ordered the "Quesadeli" with chicken option. We both agreed it was delicious and topped off our lunch with a peanut butter cookie and chocolate chip cookie. This was definitely a deli for my Belly. Service was terrific, even as they became busier. Victoria, our server was both very helpful and friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Stopped in for lunch while we were leaf peeping in Vermont. The sandwiches were huge and tasted great. Dont miss stopping by if your ever in the area.

They had a variety of sandwiches which made it difficult to choose. I had the Belly Up which was delicious though a little messy, but worth it. Definitely worth a stop if your in Bennington.

I got the Reuben (which was amazing) and my friend got the Rachel... She said it was one of the best she ever had!! :) the staff is very nice and the atmosphere was great!!!

Delicious clam chowder, “Gorgeous George” roast beef sandwich with chips and pickle. Highly recommended!

Was here for a Wedding Rehearsal dinner. Everything was paid for. All that was served was delicious, from the veggie tray, the curry chicken salad sandwiches, the Mac and cheese, the veggie lasagna and the chocolate cream pie and carrot cake. Yum-O!

All the food is excellent, well prepared and fresh. It's all made from scratch. We always eat there when we are in Vermont

Food here is always amazing! Arrived quickly today (if you come right at noon it's super busy & you may have a little wait time). It can be a little loud if you are upstairs, depending on how many people are there. I had the sandwich "Tina's Sister" and it arrived warm with gooey, delicious cheese.

Attentive staff, nice setting. My sandwich was on a generic, soft white roll that you'd expect at Subway. Still looking for somewhere to eat in Bennington that doesn't feel like a throwback to the '90s.

May be the best Chicken Salad sandwich I've ever had!

Ordered a pastrami reuben and one plain pastrami with cheddar, not difficult. I got the reuben ok but the pastrami COLD. Who eats pastrami COLD? When I asked, the girl didn't offer to fix it! I had to bring it home and cook it myself. I should have just bought pastrami at the store and did it myself instead of giving them my business. Never again! (Especially since this was giving them another chance, at these prices, which are in line with the time, I want it right)

Loved the place! But if you are disabled forget coming here you have access to the downstairs but the bathrooms are upstairs

Wow, this place is on point! We really enjoyed our sandwiches, everything was delicious and fresh and there are quite a few original sandwiches on the menu. Our server was really nice and attentive. If we were in the area again we'd definitely come back.

This deli’s name caught my attention for creativity in the name. We ordered the Outspoken (corned beef with Russian dressing on marbled rye) and the avocado special (don’t remember the name). Both of us loved our food. The only reason I give a 4 on atmosphere is there seemed to be nothing special for creating a different ambiance…ordinary and cute diner m. We took our food to go. They do have an upstairs area for dining that we did not see. I’d recommend this for a deli picnic any day! Very yummy and filling. I wish I’d remembered to get a pic of the food. Service was very quick.

There may be a wait when they are busy, but the food is fresh and food.

It’s hard for me to remember a time in Bennington without Your Belly’s Deli. The secret is not hard to find! Warm soup du jour, crisp salads, hearty sandwiches and wraps. If you still have room try the cheese cake, pie, or the cookies and brownies as large as my hand! No cheese tomato soup is really complete without a cheddar cheese grilled cheese. Call me cliché, I can live with that. (I added creamy avocados to mine) my daughter chose a broccoli and cheese quiche and my mom had an enormous Buda Belly sandwich. The Buda Belly is one of several vegetarian options. With a wide variety of delicious possibilities you really can’t go wrong. (Both carnivorous and vegetarian.) Go early on Cheesy tomato soup day!

I came in for the first time 20 minutes before they were to close. The Rueben, a favorite I’m picky about was absolutely perfect. The waitress was just exactly attentive enough. I worked in food service for years and I wouldn’t change one thing! (right down to the choice of tiles etc in the restroom, the place doesn’t miss a trick. Perfect.

Best sandwich shop in Vermont! Certainly in Bennington absolutely for sure. You can't go wrong.

We read the menu and were excited for our sandwiches when we ordered. But after 40 minutes and no sandwich we inquired and they had not even started our food. We ordered 2 sandwiches and 1 salad, there were two other tables occupied and 4 employees. Very disappointed, after 40 minutes and no food no apology we finally gave up and left. Huge thumbs down!!

Had the turkey, brie and granny Smith apple on sourdough, was absolutely delicious! Staff was quick and very friendly!

I can't recall how many times over the years that I've made that left turn onto VT7a, saw the deli off to the right, and thought 'I have to try that place some time.' Now, I'm kicking myself that I didn't start dining sooner! You can usually tell how good a place is by how busy it can be. Well, on a weekday after Colimbus weekend, it was buzzing with activity between take out, catering, and a dining room practically at capacity. My lunch was to-go, since I was heading to Manchester, Weston, Ludlow, and Woodstock. The Thanksgiving on a roll sandwich was perfect... and the service was efficient and friendly. All at a fair price too.

If you’re going to take my order and my money, it would be great if you have the actual staff to make the sandwiches. It took close to an hour to receive two mediocre sandwiches. We were disappointed.

Amazing lunch place...Best sandwich I've had out in a very long time maybe ever. Food is so fresh, healthy, and yummy. Had three sandwiches and all are amazing. Buddha Belly is my favorite (and I'm not a vegetarian).

Food (The Rachel and the Chicken Avocado Salad) was scrump-didly-umptious! An intensely delicious chocolate mud pie brownie to top it off. We arrived at a very busy time and were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait for our order but it took over an hour, which was substantially longer than promised. Thus 4, instead of 5, stars. Great eats, nonetheless!

Ordered the cheese steak and it was phenomenal! I was slightly disappointed with the service when I initially walked in and when I was paying, but it wasn't necessarily a bad experience. 4 stars as a whole, 5 stars for the sandwich.

I’ve been here in person and for pickup. When I first started eating here my sandwich was made with plenty of ham (not an excessive amount) but a typical amount and it seems like every time income in now there is barely any on it! Also I get any chips with my takeout order but when you dine in you always get them and it’s the same price. I never write reviews but my grilled ham and cheese had almost no ham. This place is so tasty and everyone is so nice but it is very disappointing to pay for a $9 sandwich with barely anything in it.

Ordered several sandwiches for the ED staff. Missing sandwiches, and wrong sandwiches given. When called to get missing sandwiches was told it would be at least an hour. We order weekly, and never have had such bad service. Will not order again.

Good food just if it’s good to be a while just say so. Shouldn’t have to wait a half hour after it was supposed to be ready.

We have been eating here for years but our latest dine in experience will be the last visit from me. Very disappointing. Staff clearly puts phone orders ahead of anyone that actually wants to sit down and eat there. Our order was placed at 12:35pm. It literally took an hour and fifteen minutes to receive our food (and not even all of it!). We had four meals. Two came out first at 1:50. Then the third about 10 minutes later and the last at 2:10 when I myself had to say goodbye and leave my family to make it home for the bus. We had 2 cold sandwiches, 1 hot, and a salad. Please tell me how we're all supposed to eat together when our food comes out that far apart. And I can tell you that my sandwich (a turkey BLT) wasn't anything to rave about especially since it had two tiny pieces of bacon on it that, at first, I couldn't even find, much less enjoy...

You don't get a second chance to make a first impression! We moved to Bennington in Sept of 2020 during the pandemic when many restaurants were closed or just doing takeout. Since I was walking to downtown today to run an errand, I thought I would give Your Belly's Deli a try. I wanted to see how their Ruben sandwich measured up against those from East Street Market which are some of the best that I've ever tasted! My plan was to stop in on the way to my errand, place an order and then pick it up on my way home in about 10-15 minutes. After "invisibly" standing at the counter for over 10 minutes, I was finally asked if I was picking up an order. When I stated my plan, I was told that there was a 35-40 minute wait. With that I turned and walked out! Looks like East Street Market will continue to get my business.

Wife and I Went exploring and landed here by chance, hands down best sandwiches I've ever had, waitstaff couldn't be more friendly, and 45 miles just isn't too far.

Fantastic, fresh sandwiches and salads. Beautiful and spotless seating area and small patio out front for warmer months. They can get busy, so allow time or call ahead if you're planning on going right at the midday lunch rush. Super nice staff.

The sandwich was really great but sadly the experience could have been better as I ended up eating in my car. It was my first time here. I was looking forward to a nice Valentine’s Day lunch on my own since my husband is deployed in the Middle East. I’m the only person in the restaurant and asked to sit upstairs bc it’s freezing downstairs. The waitress asked me how many people were in my party and told me I couldn’t sit upstairs because I was a party of one. After ordering and shivering for a while I told them to just pack up my food and I’d eat in my car to avoid freezing. At this point the girl said “well then you can sit upstairs.” It was kind of late for that. Days like today are hard enough for military spouses. I understand she didn’t know that my situation but kindness from the start would have been nice.

Best deli I've ever been to! Everything I've tried here so far has been fantastic. I can't wait to try everything on the menu! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a good sandwich.

Food was excellent. Service was fast and friendly. Portions were large bright sunny place inside and out they have a bar upstairs and they host events. Great place to eat and relax and have a drink in downtown Bennington plenty of parking right across the road.

We have gotten sandwiches to go here multiple times. I got the veggie wrap recently and it was very good. My companions got the turkey blt, the Vermonter, the Reuben, and the portobelly and all said they were quite good. They had run completely out of wheat bread that day. Runs about $10/person and no issues with accuracy despite some substitutions. The inside is quite small and is offering indoor dining. It is intimate enough that I would not be comfortable dining inside there currently, and almost all servers were not masking. No online ordering option, but easy enough to call.

Always our favorite sandwich shop. Affordable too. Cheesy tomato soup is the best soup in town.
