Very good food big portions but if it is a little on the busy side it can take a little to get your food. I go there regularly and the service is always good

Different experience of having Mexican cuisine.

There were not a lot of people there. The place smelled so good when we pulled up. Our food came and my husband's and son's food was burnt. The shrimp was like rubber and scorched. Half of my food came out about 10 minutes after the rest. The waitresses were helpful but 1 spoke more English than the others it was not always easy to communicate our needs. My husband ordered the quesadilla loco but he was not crazy impressed...the opposite.

We used to eat here once a week during work for lunch. As of today unfortunately we will not be returning. Two lunch specials(12.50 each with sodas 3 each) somehow totaled $44.xx, when I was given the total I was shocked. After questioning the total and told that it was correct we cannot support a dishonest business. If the business owner corrects this error we might return and adjust this review accordingly.

Very Good. Every time. Gave a review 2 years ago, but making this edit....Good food and the portion sizes are more than you pay for. I don't know how they make profit with the amount of food this is for the price. Combination dinners are a pan full, Its two meals really. Still good. Still a bargain.

Love this place my husband and I go there every time that he's home. Food is always awesome I just wish they didn't have such hot salsa I wish it was mild so I could eat it

Yeah, where to start. The waiter placed my food on top of the trash can ( on the lid). Store bought tortillas, and i was expecting them to be made at the restaurant. The salsa, he poured the leftover salsa he picked up from the table back into the tub where the new batch was served out of.

Had dinner here on Friday night. Service was good. Orders taken in timely fashion. Lacking variety on appetizers. I had a steak skillet which came out sizzling hot. The dish was good but lacked flavor. The wife had a steak taco that was overloaded with steak. But again, the meat was not very flavorful. Her chicken taco was also stuffed with meat, but it too was unseasoed, and the meat was cool. My son had a ribeye dish. The steak was a large portion and cooked to his medium rare request. He enjoyed the dish, but again, it too was underseasoned. Overall, it's not a bad place. The dining area was clean and the staff was great. Oh, I forgot. My son loved the beef taco and wanted to get some to go, but the dinner portions were too much.

Great delicious food. Awesome service and margaritas. Prices are reasonable. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant ever. Only negative thing was all the customers on their stupid cell phone on speaker. So annoying.. No respect..I asked the waitress to turn up the Mexican music playing and she did. It made the difference.

Wow. Amazing food and service, the portions are huge and delicious and the prices are excellent. The drinks are just right too not too soft not too hard and made well. I almost never leave reviews but this place is awesome

Newberry, FL Not the best of the 3 or 4 owned in the area. Was there in the afternoon on a Saturday. Had to ask for everything, including menu, napkins, the take out box, and the check. I wish I had gone to Archer as that store has the best of everything of all the locations. The food was good, comparable to the other store. Needs to tighten up their act in service.

The place was fine... nothing super exciting or bad, just a restaurant. Food was fine, could have been a little spicier/seasoned... but it wasn't bad at all... I'd go back! Staff was really nice.

Best place to eat in Newberry, and best Mexican food for miles and miles. This is my favorite restaurant. Awesome food, great prices, and wonderful service. It's a triple win!

I wasnt impressed but I guess for that area is all you can get. I got the deep fried chimachunga. It was Not fried to me at all. It had barely any flavor. And you don't smother cheese on fried, anyways. I suppose a different region than I'm use to. I lived in San Diego for 3 yrs. The salsa was tasty. My friend sat with no beer for atleast 10 minutes. They were Not busy. One of the ladies look at us & didnt offer to get more beer. That was his 1st tall one. I wont be going back. He wasnt impressed by no means on the service.

Wonderful Taco salad, very fresh and tasty....and chips and salsa while we waited, my friend ate the 3 tacos dinner....he loved them.

If you are in the mood for real Mexican food (not a fast food chain), then this is the place to go. Los Avina has four locations I believe, (Williston, Archer, Newberry, and Chiefland) and I have eaten at three of them. The quality is great and consistent at all of them and the wait staff is pleasant and attentive. My favorite dish is the Quesadilla Loca, a quesadilla stuffed with steak, cheese, and beans, covered with more cheese, grilled chicken, shrimp, peppers, and onions. Also comes with rice. You can't go wrong here, and I will definitely be back.

This is an amazingly good place to eat a great variety of Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine. We visit them often.

We sat on new screened in patio & was great until it started raining pouring We had a variety of meals all good but brought a lot home. Too bad about weather running us off
