Low Tide Kava Bar had a very nice ambiance, very calming and inviting. We were brought there while on a kava crawl w/ Hali'a's Kava Life. The owner took care of us, he was very friendly. I will definitely go back!

A magical space with wonderful teas

Cool place as far as outside seating but I think their Cratom doesn't taste as good as other places I've been. I know it's not all about the taste but again, it's not tasty

Kava was good and I enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere ( band was playing in courtyard) . I only wish I didn't have to stand in line everytime. The server was very nice, he just had a lot of customers.

Atmosphere is science fiction incarnate, enjoy a waterfront intergalactic experience. Overall one of the best kava bars in the county.

Best kava bar with the best staff and vibe!!

Was a customer daily for years! Have good friend there. However on MEMORIAL DAY! I came in asked if they had any specials for fallen vet's. They said no, a friend behind me, said I will get you and your lost Vet a drink. I thanked him and left. I stopped in later that day. Was told I WAS PERMANENTLY BAND! Was told my fatigues were offensive and I was a bum. I do not Owe this establishment anything nor have I begged. They have Dishonored me my dead friend and now other vets have chose not to go their. I have never so much as said a unkind word to anyone. If you are a veteran, not one of their cronies but a true Vet. The deeds don't match the actions.

Lowtide is by far, my favorite Kava bar. They have the BEST bartenders, Kratom, Kava and atmosphere. There is definitely truth to "Arrive as strangers, leave as family".

A staple in the St Pete kava/kratom world. Prices are great and kratom good. Seems to have a lot of regulars and is almost always crowded. Cool place to hang out if you are part of that community.

I don't come to Gulfport too often but Low Tide was the first place I tried kava probably 5 years ago or so. I walked in to learn about it and they gave me a free shell cause it was my first time. I've found kava to be a nice alternative to drinking when I need a break from boozin. Nice first impression of the kava community!

I have been to plenty of Kava shops and this one is definitely ranking in my top five for sure. They had live music and games to play. The kids had fun running around and listening to the music, there was no ending of things for the kids to do really and that's a major selling point for me! The drinks were delicious and good strength, I tried both the kava and kratom and can attest to each being a great choice. I will definitely be back to enjoy another weekend evening or afternoon and I love the spot, the people were great and the prices are competitive in comparison to other companies. Thanks for a great evening!

Besides really great drinks, atmosphere is very welcoming. Everyone is there to have a good time and it’s a no judgement zone. Staff really take the time to get to know their regulars.

Coffee was great and the prices are a bargain. Hard to find a coffee place nowadays where you don't have to spend $5 for a cup of coffee.

My favorite kava bar. I always come here to get Kratom. They work with clover (an app on your phone) to earn points for free drinks. Definitely worth signing up for. I usually go to see Nate, he is sooo consistently pleasant. Everyone is nice there, I just happen to always see Nate. Great place. To whoever is on the fence about going to a kava bar, Lowtide is where it’s at!!

This place is a ethnobotanical tea bar that serves Kaboucha on tap,, Kava and Kratom. HUGE area with patio seating and limited indoor seating.This place always has great vibes and an awesome atmosphere. On the weekends, in the evenings, you can usaully hear all the live music in the area. I come here to chill, drink Kratom, people watch and socialize.

Must go to place my boy ian in there whipping up up that kava and kratom like none other hell yeah!

Prices are a little steep, but we'll well worth it, their kava is top notch

Giving 3 stars for the vibes bc the vibes were great but the kava was not good. My local spot in NY has some awesome kava drinks that they add spices to (like cinnamon, nutmeg etc) that make it much better and add more benefits than just having straight kava. This also helps entice people who have never tried kava before since the taste is less harsh. I hope Low tide will try this approach, kava doesn't have to be "all or nothing", the purist approach may be off-putting to newcomers who could really benefit from kratom or kava

The set up is ideal with a giant patio shared by the Lowtide and the bar next door... and a little live music stage where it seems like someone is always playing. Its also close to the beach and many other Gulfport restaurants and bars.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Low Tide Kava Bar. The staff was knowledgeable, welcoming, and friendly. The kava was high quality and so was the crowd that came. After kava hopping around town, we decided that this place was the best. Great job, low tide. Wish we had one of you in our state of Louisiana. Thanks for the memories!

Justin is the best, if you don't go there for kava then you should definitely go there for Justin. He really seems to be good at his job. Plus he's got the knowledge on lock down and he's a handsome devil. I recommend getting the number 4 special as it never disappoints. Don't forget to try there water as it comes from the himalayan's. One more thing make sure..

Low Tide is my OG kava bar and will always have a special place in my heart. It also has- in my opinion- the best Kratom in all of St. Petersburg. It’s possibly one of the most diverse establishments I have ever frequented- people of all types from all backgrounds come together in harmony and it’s beautiful. The owner Sean is a gem and the full staff is friendly and treats you like family. Only great things to say about this spot- plus it’s tucked away in the cute hippie little beach town of Gulfport which adds to its charm.

Low Tide is a place to come and relax, make new friends, and try something new (Kava). I went in without knowing what to expect, and the staff was so friendly and informative. Both J and Justin were incredibly nice and took care of me. They explained what Kava is and the benefits it has, and also covered the first round and imbibed with me - it was fun! There were so many outgoing people there, and it’s nestled in the quaint little community of Gulfport. I love that they are even supportive of other Kava bars in the area - it’s truly a community feel. If you haven’t tried Kava, go check out Low Tide. BULA!!!

Cozy atmosphere, very strong tea! If you’re looking for a good group of folks to hang out with, definitely check this out. There’s also locally-brewed beer right next door if that’s more your thing. The outside area shares space with some local businesses and there’s a stage for live music, so definitely a great vibe!

Great atmosphere, accommodating staff. Drinks are usually good and vary from batch to batch, and are better than most other brews available locally. Gulfport beach is a short walk away, so between this spot, nearby restaurants, and beach access, you can put together a nice stress free date with ease. Highly recommend.
