The best sweet n sour chicken / pork in town....period!! Always served so fresh....steam is coming off the food. Try the green chile egg foo Yung burger!! The owners are delightful....always greeted with a smile!

The smell of freshly fried food welcomes you upon entering this local business. The people running this hole in the wall diner are kind and make everything fresh to order. The prices are a bit higher than listed online but you will be able to feed yourself for $10 or less. I recommend the egg foo young burger, the green chile burger and onion rings. Bring cash: they only take cash as payment and don't have an ATM.

Smallest hole in the wall, but the place has been in existence 40+yrs. Figured I'd try the hyped up Egg Foo Young Burger. I was not dissapointed! it was Great! lil green chile, cheese and all the fixins made it a perfect Friday Lunch treat. Small Ma/Pa shop.. i highly recommend. #supportlocal

Been going here for over 30 years, its not gourmet, but its honest and cheap. And they are so nice. Even now when you can hardly eat out for less than $20 the sweet and sour combo with a soda is lime $7.50 and the dumplings are even bigger than ever. Was so happy to see the dining area was more than half full at 2pm on a monday.

My girlfriend and I just ate here today for the first time, and the food was just incredible. The two owners are amazing, they're really sweet, and they have outstanding customer service. The prices are phenomenal and really hard to beat anywhere in Albuquerque. If you want a budget and don't wanna spend too much on your lunch, well this is the place where you can be cheap but the food will feel like you're eating at an expensive restaurant. We'll most definitely be coming back and having their Chinese food. Fun fact: Army of the Dead was filmed here

Hole in the wall place where you can get stuffed with simple and delicious comfort food... If you're looking for fancy cuisine, this ain't it... But if you're looking for good stuff that you can't stop eating until it's regretfully all gone, this is the place... Also the biggest bang for the buck in town... My wife and I had lunch here for $20 with tip, for which one of the owners asked if we were sure we wanted to tip that much... Totally humble and graceful people... Just remember, Cash Only...

Respectfully, the food we had here just was not very good. The owners were exceptionally friendly and welcoming though! And it sounds like they have been in business for quite a long time. The customers that were in there (it seemed to be an older crowd) were chatting with the owners with familiarity. We were not aware of the history of the establishment but, we have driven by a few times while in the area and became intrigued by the restaurant’s concept as well as charmingly unmaintained exterior. Overall, it was worth a try and the prices are low (the owner kind of just told us the new prices as the menus have not been updated apparently). We paid a little over $20 (cash only) for a burger, fried rice, and 2 shakes. The shakes were an odd icy consistency and certainly not like any shakes that I have ever personally had. The strawberry did not contain any fruit but instead had a pink flavoring mixed in. The burger was alright but the rice was sadly quite bland (food did come out hot and fresh though). We probably would not come back but again, the owners seem like truly good people and I can’t help but hope they continue to stay in business for their loyal customers that seem to frequent the restaurant.

I had the egg fu yung burger with green chili and cheese . Then onion cake as an appetizer. The egg on the burger was the best. It has some type of spices that makes it wonderful.

Delicious food cooked right in front of you, and you are paying for the food and not the atmosphere! Mom & Pop place, clean but very basic and simple. You go for the food, and it's definitely worth it!

The Fu Young Burger is worth the detour: good bun with lettuce and tomato, with a good size Chinese omlette on top, a good beef party and topped off with green curry. Probably also one of the cheapest burgers around.

The food here is delicious. My personal favorite is the egg foo young burger with green chili.

They were very nice but I should have known the food was going to be bad when we came into an empty restaurant at lunchtime on a nice Saturday afternoon. The fried rice was mushy white rice, and the vegetables were frozen and canned. By far, it is the worst Chinese food. We only stopped there because this restaurant was in a movie.

I'm bias but honest in that this is the best green chili cheese burger in New Mexico. I first came here in the 80s when we had open campus at AHS. Nothing has changed and I love it.

Reminds me of little restaurants in Las Cruces. I love the home cooked feel of the Chinese food, and the green chile in the burger is the perfect spice and taste. And omg, so affordable

If I could give it 0 I would. Got 3 different Chinese meals. One was chicken lo mein that just had a very very nasty smell to it. I never tasted it or even looked at it because it was my mom's food and she was at her home with it. The second was Beef and Broccoli. Lod have mercy it was the nastiest thing I had see in a while come out of a restaurant. It was like beef and broccoli, carrots and flour(way to much flour) gravy or soup base. Just nasty as all get out. Last but not least was sweet and sour chicken. It was edible at least a bit. The outside of the chicken breading was really burnt. I had to peal it off in order to eat it. The sauce was pretty good but not much of it and the pieces of chicken were small compared to the breading. Both meals came with "fried" rice. It really wasn't fried had corn, peas and carrots in it with I think eggs. It was so very very bland; absolutely no salt or pepper or anything. We have been eating there off and on for several years and never ever had this problem. We will never eat there and will never ever recommend them to anyone.

Been a local favorite and one of the best Chinese Diners that has been owned and operated by the same family for as long as I can remember. It is the same everything that it was when I was a kid, 50 years ago. Never had a bad meal and always left with a smile. Not expensive and great service.

You want to talk about some of the best food the City of Albuquerque has to offer... This is the spot! I have been a regular customer since I was 17 years to old. This is one of the many many hidden gems in this city. Always great customer service, fast and friendly service. If you've never tried their combo a either sweet and sour chicken or pork you're missing out. Their sweet and sour is one of the most delicious sauces I have ever tasted. Also if Chinese isn't your thing you can get yourself a burger at a great burger joint! Hands down one of my all time favorites.

I love how this place still looks the same as it did when I was a kid. I have good memories here. This was a favorite of my parents. I remember getting food here back 93,94 ordering sweet and sour chicken. I will still visit now as an adult I'm 37 today. Same owners. Love the food! 💯👍

Green chile egg fu young burger. Amazing. Look, you won’t find hand formed patties or home cooked bread in this diner from another timeline. But, green chile egg fu young? Brilliant. The owners really know a grill and fryer. Try the Chinese menu too. Lucky Boy won’t be here forever so go now! Go there twice and they’ll remember what you want.

Our family favorites are the green Chile cheeseburger and the "A" combo which is sweet/sour chicken or pork with fried rice and eggroll. The eggrolls have ground beef in it and isn't too sour cabbagey...different. I like them! I tried some noodles once which were ok but I went back to my favorite. The couple who runs it is so nice.

This place has been a constant in my life since 1980. The food is always fantastic and Ron and Sue, the owners, are like family. My favorite combination plate cost about $2.75 then and is $3.75 now. Consumer Price Index says this should be more like $12 today. How is it still 1980 in there? The food and atmosphere are as magical as the prices. Add that Lucky Boy is something of a community hub, and now a movie location, and you'll want to return to this treasure that time forgot again and again. Ron and Sue, we love you. Don't ever change.

I’ve been visiting Lucky Boy since I was 10 (now 48). They have the best Sweet n sour chicken I’ve ever had and the Ja Tze is amazing. They have set my standard to these dishes. The owners are wonderful. I’ve moved to NC about 8 years ago and I have to make eating at Lucky Boy a “must do” item on my visits home. Do let looks be deceiving. This place is a local favorite and mine as well.

I've been lucky enough to have eaten at Luckey Boys the 2nd year they opened. . for 38 years no matter what state i lived in i have managed to come through Abq when ever possible just for this wonderful place. It's been 4-5 years since I've been through and i was afraid they had retired but....here they are. On my way to Georgia but i will find something to kill the 2 hrs till they open. Best sweet and sour in this country. Best people in the world.
