Great dinner, sever and atmosphere. Sat at a booth in the bar area which was very nice and intimate for our anniversary dinner. Had the tomahawk steak, asparagus, garlic mashed and button mushrooms. Crème brûlée for dessert and everything without exception was fabulous.

Andreas was an excellent hostess...she cared for us as if we were her favorite cousins. She always kept a smile on even tho other were rude and ran a smooth operation.

The service was immaculate—every detail attended to, beginning with the warm welcome from the hostess to the attentive food runners ensuring our every need was met. The blackened mahi tacos were absolutely cooked to perfection—the seasoning was on point, and the coleslaw provided the perfect balance, enhancing the flavor of the fish. The lobster bisque was also delightful—rich, creamy, and full of flavor. A special shoutout to Jennifer, the bartender, who made the best espresso martinis we’ve ever had, infusing them with a delicious touch of reposado. Her craft behind the bar was impressive and elevated the entire experience. Overall, Ocean Prime delivered on all fronts, and we can’t wait to return!

We always call into Ocean Prime after we have spent a day shopping, it's a great place for a cocktail and either lunch or dinner. We called in this week for a quick lunch. Friendly greeting on arrival, showed to our seats quickly. Dined in the outer room between the bar area and patio. Our server was efficient but too efficient if that's possible. We just wanted a quick lunch and to catch up with each other. Our server had a million things he asked and all the time during our lunch. I understand being well trained but you also have to know when people want alone time. Food was good as always, we had their blackened salmon salad and poke bowl. We definitely like going here but a little less love at the table would help lol. + plenty of parking and valet +large restaurant. +3 types of seating areas. + large menu with salads, fish, sushi, chicken and steaks dishes.

By far the best place to dine and celebrate every occasion. Service is superb and the food/drinks never disappoint. OP Tampa is my favorite place to eat! Austin is the greatest of all time and he makes experience next level. Highly recommend this establishment to all!

I love ocean prime. My husband and I visited ocean prime to celebrate our birthdays which are week apart and we had the most amazing experience. The food, the cocktails, the service. EVERYTHING was exquisite. This is my definition of fine dining. We will definitely be back. Absolutely superb.

While the food was good, but not $100 dollars a head good. Nice and upscale, great for business lunch/dinner, but not quite up to expectations for the price. I would say they were close but need a 15-20% improvement about 10% for playing and another 5-10% for flavor profile. Then I would say it would be worth $100 a head.

Josh is the worst server I’ve ever experienced, the slowest and lowest energy imaginable. Is he ever where he is supposed to be? Ordering every course is like pulling teeth based on finding him, he should be a busser at best. Food was fine, drinks were fine but nothing was great. Used to be a great restaurant, Jonathan Pollock as general manager has reduced standards, and everything is sub par at best now. This is a shame, used to be an amazing restaurant.

This is my wife and I’s favorite restaurant I’ve been going there for years and have spent several thousand dollars. Unfortunately with the firing of Jake I will never go there again. I had an event coming up that was for 30 very accomplished individuals that I will now have to take my business elsewhere. Bad decision to let him go.

Surprised that the food didn't "wow" us. A party of 4; after a nearly 800 dollar dining experience (after tip, though with few drinks), an outing that in no way calls us to return. All meals were good, not yummy--nothing better than similar restaurants (except for the blackened snapper, and the calamari appetizer--these were very good!) Service, by all, was great--lovely.

Nice, a scratch kitchen, so -- generally--order as you please... expect a quite expensive experience with excellent service. Appetizers were 3star, although, specifically, the calamari was FAB--it was tasty, and THE freshest we have ever enjoyed; the ahi tuna tartar was average. 4 guests and an almost 800 dinner experience after tip (with limited drinks!) The filet beef selections were good, not great. The salmon was very good, and the blackened snapper was delicious. Sides were okay (e.g., creamed spinach)

I live sunny isles beach florida and has french men who love cooking. I never had quality of linguini lobster serve was unbelievable I travel around world it 4 stars michelin bravo my next visit meeting I will come again for other great dinner great selection of wines connoisseur bravo .

Poor parking with rude valet staff for mediocre food

The food was good but I was hoping it would top Eddie V's it fid not.

Came here to eat lunch alone at the bar and I was not satisfied with the service. There was a clear difference in how “other” patrons were being attended to, Not sure if it was because I was a woman and came to the bar alone or if they had any preconceived notions about my dining there. The bartender that day was somewhat familiar with other people at the bar, seemed to treat them with more respect and attentiveness. I would dine there more frequently for lunch but after this encounter I was unsatisfied.

I took my daughter for her 11th birthday, the food was stunning but the service was phenomenal. Adam is quiet literally the epitome of what the service industry should be. 10 out of 10 experience. This is a must go to spot if you are in Tampa area.

My cousin and I came here to celebrate my birthday while I was visiting Tampa and had an amazing experience. Cole, our waiter, was amazing! So informative, attentive and polite. He listed all of the hot picks from the menu and we decided to go with the wagyu tomahawk and truffle Mac and cheese. It was absolutely delicious. We arrived around 5 pm and were able to watch the ambience become more romantic and intimate as the sun went down. Will definitely be back.

Tried to order dessert to go, Saturday night (very busy, understandably) and was on hold over 12minutes.

There isn't anything not great about this restaurant. Fine dining at its best. Atmosphere, food, service is top notch. Be prepared to spend some money.

I come to Ocean prime usually all the time after work, and most of the times I sit at the bar I am met with the luxury experience set at the bar tonight had my Bartender as Olivia, and was not pleased with service at all, let’s do better🙁

They had a Morgan wallen concert that was cancelled… well it turns out ocean prime was letting half the people in…. All the girls were out of dress codes looking trashy in a nice restraint then on top of it, it was super loud and unappealing. My worst experience yet at ocean prime and very disappointed on the amount of people they let in dressed the way they were

We recently dined at this restaurant for lunch for the first time (we dined at the Naples restaurant previously), and we enjoy Fine Dining restaurants on a regular basis. Was a bit interesting that we had to wait for a table (no preference) as when we were seated in the Bar/Lounge area there were numerous empty tables (unsure about the dining room). Our Server/Bartender was very nice, polite, friendly and efficient. He did a wonderful job taking care of us. Our food was delicious. Cocktails were made perfectly. Only negative was when a Female Bartender/Server asked if we wanted another cocktail or anything, and we stated we wanted to take home our leftovers, she handed us a plastic bowl/cover and a bag. That is Not the usual response in most High End/Fine Dining restaurants, the usual response is the Server takes your plate and wraps up your take home leftovers in the back, and brings it back to your table all packaged and bagged. Slightly disappointing, which is why only 4 Stars. Not quite sure we will be back.

Service was absolutely fantastic. Nicholas was helpful in offering recommendations for pairings. The drinks were all delicious, specifically my margarita and my husband's Manhattan. My grouper was flavorful, but slightly overcooked. My husband enjoyed his NY Strip, which was perfectly cooked. Atmosphere only received less stars due to the area being loud. It was difficult to hear the service staff. But overall, what a great way to celebrate our anniversary!!! Thank you!!!

We ate here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the restaurant was wonderful. They set the table with rose pedals and complementary glass of champagne. The food was incredible and the Berries and Bubbles drink was awesome. We also received a complementary desert for our celebration. Highly recommend. Definitely worth the money!

Went there yesterday for the first time , everything was fantastic! The waiter and the helpers were above and beyond exceptional ! Someone knows how to hire amazing servers and assistants. Will be going back for sure !

Never had a bad meal here. Staff goes above and beyond to make your experience memorable. The fish is fresh, the calamari is excellent, and their house salad with goat cheese is amazing. Have nothing to say but great things about Ocean Prime. The food is a delicate balance of flavors that will have you craving more. The hand crafted cocktails are perfection. Don't even get me started about the desserts, the creme brulee is the best I've ever had and the sorbet and almond cookie are the perfect pallette cleansers at the end of your meal. The view and natural lighting creates a wonderful ambiance. Honestly, if you haven't tried it, you must! Great for lunch, dinner, or any special occasion!

The team at Ocean Prime is excellent and professional! I have hosted several business luncheons in the private room and Anastasia and Lexi are an absolute delight to work with. The room is always set perfectly in advance and they make sure you have everything you need day-of. Kathleen is an incredible server - takes time to learn everyones names (and remembers them) and never makes an error. She's so friendly and respectful of the meeting taking place during the dining service. 10/10 I won't go anywhere else!

Ocean Prime is my go to restaurant whenever i am in the mood for some great food and some great atmosphere. I have celebrated several occasions here and have never been let down. The food and service are the best in Tampa when it comes to fine dining. Ocean Prime should be on your list of places to try if you are ever in Tampa! Edit: 4 years later and i am sad to say that this place is not what it once was. The last 2 times i have been, I have been seated, only to wait 15 minutes or longer to be waited on. Today on 6/12/2024. I went there to celebrate to my birthday. I made a reservation for 7:15 and arrived 15 minutes early. I was seated around 7:06pm, within 2-3 minutes the bus boy arrived to get us water. That was the last time anybody came to my table..... after 7:30 came and went. I left. I was offered a comp card by the manager. However my birthday dinner was absolutely ruined. I will not be returning here for the foreseeable future.

Really great ambience and fantastic service but the food was just okay for the price. Nothing was super impressive. The side dishes, specifically the truffle Mac and cheese was a disappointment. It lacked any real truffle (they just put the submerged truffle on top, no fresh truffle, to make it look fancy) but it’s swimming with truffle oil, which was aromatic and that’s about it. The ravioli starter was delicious but a bit heavy for a starter. The steaks were cooked perfectly but it wasn’t anything special. I’ve had better steaks at Eddie V’s. I was expecting more and left the establishment still wanting more…

I am most impressed with how friendly everyone there was(sometimes higher end restaurants staff are bland not sure how to word) we walked in to a couple hosts and a manager smiling and greeted us with a warm welcome we felt bad because we were late for our reservation but the assured us it was no problem and promptly seated us on their beautiful patio. The host who sat us was so warm and did not rush she explained some things and thanked us for coming. We were then greeted by a server assistant who had a fun personality and continued convo with us throughout meal. Our server was a true asset to Ocean Prime (sorry for not remembering your name) she was working the patio Friday June 7th at around 9pm. So I am in recovery and don’t drink and she helped me pick a great mocktail and could tell i wasn’t sure what to get so she helped guide me through menu. We had so many great convos with her but she made sure we always had everything we needed she pre be-bussed kept our drinks filled thank you for everything! Ok so now let me comment on price you DO NOT go to this type of dining and worry about prices if you have any respect for chefs and the skill set it takes to prepare these amazing hot meals you get it. The quality of product they use is top notch and the environment and ambience is memorable. And yes you still need to tip your servers 20+% thanks Ocean prime for a memorable evening

I had the sea bass and crème brûlée which were both delicious. The peanut butter pie is where it’s at though. 🤌🏼 The service was good and no wait at the door. It’s very pricey and I wouldn’t typically splurge outside of business trip reimbursement. I noticed the steaks coming out of the kitchen and they looked unbelievable. I’ll be ordering off of the land menu next time! Update 6/6/24: The ribeye 🥩 was a flavor bomb 💣! I ate the entire 16 ounce steak and shareable jalapeño au gratin side in 1 sitting… like a total chub scout. The meal was SO tasty that I didn’t want to waste one morsel. We returned twice this week and I also tried the lamb chops which were cooked very well. The spinach was a ‘meh’ for me as I didn’t enjoy the smokey undertone in the flavor profile, it lacked in the cheesy department, and I didn’t taste any bacon. The mac and cheese was a work of art, please send my accolades to the chef! My next trip I will 💯 be ordering the lobster mac and cheese!

This was one of the best experiences at a high end restaurant. Everyone was treated like VIP and from the valet to the wait staff, there was excellent customer service and respect. The food was amazing. The Surf and Turf appetizer is a must try but for bariatric patients like myself was a perfect size for a full meal. I had the Chilean Sea Bass with the parmesan risotto and it was perfect. The Asparagus was great as well. The filet mignon and lobster were excellent too. But if I had to praise 👏 anything it was the Warm Butter Cake with Berries and ice cream. Don't skip the dessert.

My husband and I met on a blind date 33 years ago. It was then that we discovered our love for our favorite dessert…. peanut butter pie. Each year to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we pick a different restaurant to dine at and end the evening at Ocean Prime (the Tampa, Florida location) to share a piece of their delicious peanut butter pie at the bar. Last night upon entering the restaurant, there were no available seats at their 3 bars so we decided to order the pies to go. While looking around to see who could place our order, Amelia Dallman (Dining Room Manager) was walking by and asked if we needed help. I explained to her that it was our tradition to end our anniversary night with a piece of peanut butter pie from Ocean Prime but unfortunately with it being a busy Friday night there were no seats available so we wanted to just get 2 pieces to go. She told me you can’t celebrate your pie at home and asked us to follow her. She seated us immediately at a table for two and within minutes of sitting down 2 employees came over. One sprinkled rose petals around the table while the other employee gave us 2 glasses of champagne! We shared our pie along with an Irish coffee, cappuccino and of course another piece of pie to go. We were so touched with the many employees who walked by just to wish us a Happy Anniversary! We wanted to share how grateful we are with our dining experience and meeting Amelia last night. This was our first time experiencing Ocean Prime and it will not be our last! Starting off with the incredible service was so nice! Then the food & drinks just made it even better! We sat outside on the bar patio with the high top tables. Lauren was our server and she was so so great! I had the wedge salad, deviled eggs and the twin lobster tails (with asparagus). I also had a strawberry margarita and then a raspberry margarita. They were both made with fresh fruit and were delicious! It was all superb! My husband started out with the French Onion soup and he said it was the best he has ever had! He also had the creamed spinach and ahi tuna, both of which he loved! We brought home the 10 layer carrot cake to indulge in tomorrow! As long as you understand you are going to spend a decent amount of money, you will not be sad you went here. It was well worth the money we spent!

The food and the service compete with each other. They're both excellent. Steaks made just to perfection, drinks that have the right balance, and oftentimes the wait is not bad. Piano bar area is the liveliest and for a more laid back feel, sit at the main dining area. The servers know the business and they don't compromise on making you feel welcome and educating on the menu. This place is a go-to.

Always one of my go-to's. The Chilean sea bass never disappoints, I recommend getting it with a lobster tail as well. The drinks are always amazing and made fresh. I've never been disappointed with Ocean prime.

Stunning atmosphere and exceptional bar service make this steakhouse a go-to for happy hour. Its a decent place for celebrations. Although I ordered my lamb medium, it was well done but my party all enjoyed their meals. The oysters options are limited and were very small. Food earns four stars, but wait staff could improve. The bartenders could actually train the wait staff on personality and providing a welcoming experience.

Reviews say excellent and superb. However, our party of 3 failed to understand why. Our order consisted of lobster bisque and crab cake appetizer. Lobster bisque was bland, lukewarm and too much pepper. The crab cake was good but also lukewarm. Main meals were sea bass, NY strip and two lobster tails. The sea bass was sitting in liquid, not sauce. The NY strip was rather dry and the twin tails were on the small side. All three main courses were also lukewarm and bland in flavor and taste. Dessert was carrott cake. Icing was very sweet and cream cheese icing it was not. No nuts in the cake itself. Our drinks were fine. We knew it would be expensive but for the money the food did not live up to the hype.

My daughter wanted to eat at here for her birthday dinner, this is the second time that we have taken her to Ocean Prime for her birthday. The food was outstanding, three of us had steak and the fourth person in our party had the scallops. Every part of the meal (appetizers, main course, sides, and desert) were delicious and I would highly recommend this restaurant. I would also like to give a big thank you to our server Emilio. He was a total professional and made excellent recommendations to our party on the food and wine choices. He also took time to recognize my daughter's birthday and made it extra special for her. So thank you again to Emilio for a memorable experience.

Sent my steak back 3 times. Finally on the 4th steak, it was cooked correctly. Cameron Mitchell would be ashamed of this location!! The past 3 times I have been, Ocean Prime Tampa has been less than Sub Par!!

My steak was ordered medium and it came out well done and over charred or something. Also, we ordered a lobster Mac and chz and were contemplating on ordering a second one. We ordered the second one then said never mind about 3 minutes later and the server brought it out in a to go container instead of just not giving it to us and not charging us for it. When your check is already 400 and I change my mind on something simply because we don’t want it anymore it shouldn’t have been on the check.
