I'm writing this the day before they're set to close (at least for a while) I'm going to greatly miss Prum's Kitchen, it's one of my favorite places here in Gainesville. The food is delicious, unique, and Mr. and Mrs. Prum are incredibly kind and welcoming. I'm going to miss this place, and I hope they're closed for a very, very short time, which I hope is coincidentally how long they wish to be closed.

One of the best food in town I will say. Price is also very friendly. Little upset that they only open for dinner. Definitely a decent place for food!

What a great find in Gainesville! Cambodia is not Vietnam and not Thai. It’s all its own! Soap is more subtle. Food is more delicate. Service is great! Get the spring roll(not the same as you’re used to) flat noodle beef stir fry, beef & chicken skewers, and the delicate noodle soup! Kind and attentive service all at a great price as well!

Good dishes, especially spicy fried chicken wings and Mi Ka Tang. Our group was having a fantastic dinner get-together at this place. We'll be back soon.

Excellent flavor, very fresh Asian food. Vietnamese Iced coffee just like in California.

Definitely check out Prum’s if looking for great ethnic cuisine. I’ve never had anything to compare it too as far as Cambodian food goes. The service was top tier to accommodate and explain the menu and recommendations and questions. Ambiance was clean with great decor and paintings. We got the chicken wings - very nice and crispy! Bo-Bong clean and healthy. And the soup was comforting and healing on a cool evening. Thank you for sharing your culture and blessed vibes. 5 stars

The food was tasty and fresh. Staff were friendly. Nice atmosphere. Fair prices. Uncomplicated menu. It was nice to try Cambodian cuisine and see how it compares to Thai and Vietnamese.

The best restaurant in downtown Gainesville.

This place was awesome. I got the Beef Loc Lac and 3 egg rolls and it was all amazing. You can tell they actually care and everyone there was super friendly. Their house made chili sauce available at each table is very tasty and spicy. Highly recommend and will be back to try other dishes.

Smells like mold everywhere. Food was mediocre.

I ordered my appetizer the spring roll was good and tasty. They misunderstood my main course order and when I told them I ordered something else they didn’t accept and didn’t even apologize that they misheard me, although I pointed out at the big picture on the menu when I was ordering. I didn’t like the food they brought for me (it was a lot of fried rice with 5 shrimps not very tasty), I ate only the shrimps I can’t eat rice, then asked for check the waiter saw my plate was full and didn’t ask why I didn’t eat! That’s so rude! . Had to go somewhere else to eat dinner again lol

Not only is this currently one Gainesville's best restaurants, hands down...it is historically some of the best food this town has ever seen. I have lived in the area for over 20 years. Prum's delivers so consistently and so exquisitely in a historically difficult location (though that has changed a bit, I will admit) that I would give them 10 stars if I could. If you don't know where to go, just go here.

After reading all the wonderful reviews we gave it a try while we were spending a night for a quick stopover in Gainesville. We were not disappointed. We ordered take out and spoke to the owner personally to order. Great meal for a hot day. We had the 7, 11 & 12. Sorry you’ll have to check the menu. Super nice owner.

This restaurant is one of my favorites in Gainesville ever. Amazing quality, authentic, and the portions are great, too! Also the owner is so nice ;-; One time I was carrying food for two people and accidentally dropped it, and was on the verge of losing my mind because it was soup... When I went back asked to buy another serving, he helped me clean up and got me a new soup and offered to help me carry it. I really appreciated that, and the noodle soup was like food to my soul. Thank you again!

Very clean, including the kitchen and bathroom. Attractive with delicious food. I had the beef skewers appetizer with slaw and it was so good, I ordered more! I wish I lived closer but glad I stopped here while passing through Gainesville. Top choice!

Wonderful food and service! I had the Me Kang Te noodles and a Thai tea! Reasonably priced and so delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Will definitely be coming back here soon!

Very small simple place with super friendly service and absolutely delicious food. We had the rolls in rice paper, a noodle dish, and a stir fry and each dish was better than the last. Add in the spicy house made chili paste and just YUM. This place is a real hidden gem.

I've only visited here once, and I still dream about how good the food was. Fantastic staff, intimate atmosphere, relaxing vibes, and plentiful vegetarian options. It's a must-go if you're ever in Gainesville.

Honestly you couldn’t support a better business. The food is phenomenal and the people behind the food are even more special. This is an authentic family owned business and they do it right. It sounds simple but their fried rice is a go to and my fiancé is a big fan of the chicken/beef loc lac. Love this place

We stopped by and boy am I happy we did!! The food was excellent, chefs are most gracious and service is great - highly recommended!! The lime sauce, home made chili and the quality of food in general is perfect.

I had the beef skewers with a side of white rice and pickled slaw. This was hands-down the most flavourful and tender beef I have eaten. Ever. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive. I’ll consider myself a new regular!

Ya’ll if you have not had the opportunity to try their food as of yet, run don’t walk to try this delicious food!! Bo and Leanna are both of Cambodian descent and make all of the food themselves. We had a version of drunken noodles, beef with rice and this lime sauce that was incredible, kabobs, spring rolls, YUM!!! 😋😋😋 Trust me. Go and meet Bo and Leanna and let them cook for you. You can thank me later! Thank you Bo and Leanna for the most delicious lunch. We will be back soon!

This is a great little hole in the wall with tasty dishes, boba iced coffee (first for me), and super friendly service. The playlist is dope, too. I love the laid back atmosphere! Come here and enjoy!

I wanted to like this place, but the Vegetarian Ba-Bong was so disappointing. As another reviewer said, it was bland and boring. The house dressing served with it did not go with the dish at all. Maybe a different sauce would help, but this dish had no flavor.

The food was savory and delicious and the staff was kind and prompt. I probably would prefer double meat for my entree next time, as it has a lot of noodles and leaves but not much meat. Prices were reasonable.

Great host, very polite and caring. Super food and service. This was the first time we tried Cambodian food. Prum had enough time to engage with us to answer our questions on Cambodian food and the traditional food practices in Cambodia. Would love to go again.

Legit one of the only places worth it in gainvesille never felt cheated never felt like the food was bad or anything they don’t even make you wait for the food unlike every other place in the city.

I was here to have some lunch. It’s already hard to find a Cambodian place. We ordered a beef skewer, Lok Lak, and a fresh roll. They were all excellent! They reminded me of when I was in Siem Reap a couple of years ago. The taste was certainly authentic. Beef was tender, juicy, and flavourful. Plus, the “uncle” that took care of us was extremely polite and attentive. Highly recommended.

This place is awesome! Went here for birthday dinner with friends and we were beyond satisfied with our meals and the service. Definitely recommend the chicken skewers and soup. Atmosphere and owners are wonderfully pleasant.

Awesome food. Pho was amazing and dish that resembled drunken noodles. The gentleman that took our order was an absolute pleasure to talk to and was so kind. This will be a place we visit when we pop in from Lake City.

Low cost excellent food right downtown. My 1st time there & 1st time with Cambodian food. Very tasty, our server was, I believe, the owner. He explained the dishes & flavors.

Absolutely LOVED this place! Food is Absolutely delicious, made with love. And it's all healthy too! Their homemade chilli oil is the best I've ever had and they sell containers of it.

I had the tofu ba-bong and veggie spring rolls. The veggies were fresh and crunchy, and the sauces so flavorful. Both food and service were excellent. I'll definitely be back!

We went with a group of both vegans and omnivores. Vegan options were clearly marked. Both the food and the wine were memorably good. Service was attentive but not cloying. Prices were also great. We will definitely be frequenting Prum's!

A wonderful addition to downtown Gainesville - HIGHLY recommend getting the chicken wings - honestly the the best i've ever had in my life. The Mee Katang is also delicious, especially accompanied with their house made chili sauce.

Tasty fresh food! Not at all greasy and you don’t feel guilty after eating anything here. Really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Chicken skewers are yummy (and very filling). Absolutely love their ice coffee! You can tell the servers really like working there and believe in the food they are selling. I think the only thing I didn’t enjoy very much was the veggie dish because I’m not a huge fan of noodles. There is also limited dining space, so dinner time (after 6) you may not be able to get seated, but you can always call ahead to see if their busy! Worst case you just order take out!

Delicious entrees and really good springs rolls that came with a great oil sauce. Large portions at very affordable prices. Super clean, nice atmosphere, food was prepared efficiently. Service was very friendly, explained best dishes and how to mix the bowls/add sauce. They even gave us BOGO drinks, as we went during a not busy time but that may be typical

Excellent local Cambodian food right in the heart of downtown.

One of the best Asian restaurants I have been to. I tried their "Me Ka Tang" chef's special and it was delicious. The restaurant has a nice and cozy vibe, and the ambiance and the staff make it feel very authentic. There's some outdoor seating available as well, to enjoy your meal in the heart of Gainesville. Will definitely be back to try the other dishes.

Great restaurant and owner. I grew up in Vietnam myself and had eaten pretty much all South East Asia's cuisines. Give this place a shot if you want to try authentic Cambodian food. It is delicious!

Great place for lunch downtown. The vegetarian ba bong is very tasty. It is a big portion of food. The waiter/host was very nice and helpful. He explained what comes with the dish and what sauces to pair things with.

First time visiting and first time having Cambodian. Flavors are much more subtle than neighboring countries but very tasty. Owner and workers were all super sweet and welcoming. It seemed to me while waiting for our food that they have a very loyal following of repeat customers and atmosphere felt very family-like. Husband and I both had a beef centered dish. Both super tasty. Lime dip with mine was insanely good. My meal reminded me a bit of steak hibachi but tastier. For dessert we had the mango sticky rice which I have to say is my new favorite dessert ever. It was SO yummy. Will be back for sure.

I tried both the beef and chicken skewers and they were both amazing alongside the egg rolls being crispy and the ppn soup with a boba thai tea all for an extremely well price for my mother and I. If I didnt live so far I would come here all the time and I'm glad my siblings recommended this place

This place is a gem. Flavors are super yummy savory and sweetness, perfectly seasoned home cooked comfort food vibe. The staff is super nice and there was no wait after crowded cocktails up the street. We tried the egg rolls, skewers and the Me Ka Tang noodles, I didn’t mean to eat the entire plate of food and then I did. Even the little salad garnishes were delicious and fresh. Yum!

In short, this place slaps. Incredible vibe. Slurpy food. And amazing staff energy. Cute, clean, perfect for downtown where you actually hear your date and fill all your big food dreams. 10/10

Delightful small Cambodian restaurant. We had the Ba Bong, one beef, one chicken. The vermicelli was perfectly cooked, with the faintest hint of sweetness. The veggies were fresh and crisp, and the meats were savory. You can make it as hot or mild as you wish by adding home-made chili amendments. The waitress the owner/manager/chef were lovely.

Had a wonderful meal. First time eating cambodian food and the gentleman waiting on me recommendations were spot on. Truly enjoyed myself and felt like a welcome guest. Everything was fresh, generous and delicious.

Vegetarian rating. Sorry to say I won't return. There is only one Vegetarian entreé... lettuce, angel hair pasta, bean sprout, carrot and cilantro pieces, a few pieces of small fried tofu, and sugary syrup. It was bland and boring. It is basically a sparse salad for $14. It was difficult to eat...served in a deep bowl with a fork. The noodles were difficult to pick up. It's a shame as I had expected more. I suggest to bolster the veg options. Chicken wing entreé was boring..deep fried served with cilantro pieces and lime dressing. PERK WAS THE ICED COFFEE. It was delicious.

You can really tell how much care is put into the food. Everything is so delicious! Highly recommend supporting this small local business.

I couldn’t speak more highly of this place! I went for dinner with a friend and loved everything. I got the beef skewers & spring rolls & didn’t want either dish to be finished, they were so good! Oscar was fantastic-he was kind, accommodating, and made sure we knew he was available for us while giving us our space to catch up. Not only that, but when they ran out of their AMAZING mango sticky rice he gave me a notecard to redeem a free one the next time I came in. The food & service are great, I highly recommend it for your next quick dinner
