Great slice deals and never a bad meal!

I had been to a different Ramuntos years before and thought it was pretty good, so I talked my sister into stopping at this Ramuntos on our way home (NH) from a Midwest road trip. It was late afternoon on Saturday August 24th. Well after lunch and a bit before any dinner rush. The atmosphere was very laid back and a very local vibe. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The smell as you walk into the restaurant was almost nostalgic....that classic pizza smell that you would expect for a very well established and generational pizza shop. We didn't plan to stop, but it had been a very long day (on the road since 5:30am) and we were both pretty hungry. We fully expected to wait for at least 20 minutes or more for a pizza to go and eat on the road for the final leg of our 15+ hour drive home to NH from Indiana. The first surprise came when we saw that you had slices available at that time of day, not to mention the incredible bonus given the huge variety of slices available (maybe 17 or more different options). My sister got 2 slices of BBQ Chicken pizza and was so happy that yours did not have red onions. I got 1 slice of Sicilian (sausage, pepper, onion and mushroom) and 1 traditional slice of a pesto, red pepper & onion. The sizes of the slices was impressive. We had some questions about toppings and your staff were all very helpful. After mentioning I had gone to another Ramuntos in NH, I got a friendly and brief history of Ramuntos from a nice gentleman behind the counter. I assume a manager or owner. The price for the 4 slices was very reasonable. A short wait for those slices to reheat and we were off, back on the road. My sister loved her BBQ chicken slices. She couldnt finish them both as it was too much food for her to eat. Don't worry, nothing was wasted...I made sure of that. The ratio of BBQ sauce was perfect. Sometimes, shops overuse the BBQ sauce, not here. The sauce was wonderful smoky and sweet. I started my mobile dinner with the big Sicilian slice. The toppings were fresh, the crust was perfect. A slightly sweeter sauce (which I prefer) and the crust was very crunchy and cooked perfectly. Undercarriage was crunch extreme. I then went to the pesto slice and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD! I've never had this before and it was amazing! It hit on so many different levels. A great crunch on the crust. Thin but not a "thin crust" slice. The edge crust had a great crisp. The pesto base, with roasted peppers and onions...an amazing blend of earthy and herby flavors. The creamyness of the perfect amount of cheese. I also saw what I thought was an olive oil drizzle on the outer edge. But think I may have been wrong.....is this.....oh wait a minute...is this hot honey?!?! Holy shnikes! What a find! It had an unexpected, but incredible spicy and sweet finish. We were both extremely happy to have stopped and mutually decided that we will make your restaurant a bonfire stop everytime we go through your fun town.

I have been in maybe a handful of times when I'm in town for work, usually I hit the one in Rutland. The blonde(likely the manager/owner) is AMAZING. I'm pretty sure I've only told her my name once and SHE REMEMBERED ME!!!!! I was speechless. The food is always amazing when I go here as well. Thanks for being an awesome lunch spot.

They said they were open until 10:00 p.m I showed up at 10:10 p.m. and because the bar/restaurant was so busy I was able to place an order and have two beers before I left...and the place was still hopping. I highly recommend for that aspect.

Wow. The pizza was excellent. But the way to get it was.... weird. Anyways we've destroyed a 14" just the two of us!

Who knew I would find one of my top three pizza joints in Vermont? But here I am, stopping in every time I roll through Bennington. The team at Ramunto's crafts delightful thin crust and Sicilian pies. Most recently I ordered "The Works" with no tomatos and no sauce, which the crew graciously accommodated for a family member who has a nightshade allergy. I enjoyed a hard cider while waiting for the pie, which had a perfect crust and artfully arranged, tasty toppings. Ramunto's pizzas are, quite simply, awesome. Go and enjoy (and imbibe in their craft beers while you wait!)

I ordered a steak bomb there it had no peppers onions mushrooms or American cheese I would like my food to be right I spend 50 bucks every Friday they say buy local but not if my order is made wrong this hasn't been the first time

The lunch special is a great deal. Two slices of pizza and a drink for under $7. The burgers are great also.

Ordered a meat lover's pizza and ceaser salad for take out. Arrived a few minutes after the designated time - cashier rung us out and indicated our pizza was not yet ready. I waited ~ 25 minutes and checked again with a different cashier as to when our order would be ready. She 'found' the pizza sitting on top of the pizza oven. Restaurant was not busy but there were a few folks waiting in the bar area for their orders. Bar did have a nice beer selection. The crust was floppy, not sure if that was the way they made it or a result of sitting in a box atop the oven. Romano lettuce was fresh, salad had croutons but no discernable parmesan cheese. Salad came with one packet of Newman's dressing. Overall - unerwhelming and not worth the wait.

The atmosphere was very ‘local’, the locals weren’t quite friendly unfortunately. However, the bar service was spot on.

I had a delivery order and this is happening to me several times where I ask for extra sauce and extra cheese and light mushrooms and when they bring it to me, I get very light sauce very light cheese and extra mushrooms. I called them back. They say they’ll send another one out and it’s the same pizza, if you were to have extra sauce and extra mushrooms and held up a slice, it should flop down and almost should fall off because you have extra sauce and cheese, but I don’t suggest because they’re the most inconsistent and they obviously don’t check their food before they send it out for delivery

Good meatball parm sub. Nice toasted bun. Good seasoned meatballs. Wings came with no sause, strange. $35 for a sub and 10 wings is $$$$.

Called in to place a delivery order. Was asking questions about the ingredients in the pizza because we are are vegan and were told “I don’t know” or the “I’m not sure “ responses. When I told her that we needed to be sure as to what is in our pizza she became rude and did not take a second to ask anyone else. When we received the pizza the order was incorrect. We called to speak to a manager and the order was corrected but the pizza we received had no flavor. No vegan cheese option and was charged the same price with no cheese…stop penalizing vegans for getting less and carry vegan cheese! We should have known better by the rude person taking our order and gone elsewhere!

The portions were huge! So glad we decided to share a couple of items instead of each getting an item

Ordered the meat calizone and toasted ravioli. Both were cooked well and had the taste to match. If in the area definitely check it out.

Margarita pizza was fine but the sauce was a bit sweet. I don’t know why they call this place a brick oven NY style pizza house. They have no brick oven nor is it NY style. It’s too thick to be NY. That said, it seems like a fine place with a chill bar, lots of taps and a good family atmosphere.

Amazing pizza, I go here with my family every week. We love getting pizza by the slice and their garlic knots my daughter loves. I strongly recommend going here.

Great place Outdoor sitting with fireplace was my favorite Wide selection of beers Parking lot is a little bit confusing .... Street parking is better

I got a calzone to go. Spinach and cheese. It was the worse calzone I ever had and I've had them many places. It was so soggy with grease, even the outside. You couldn't hold it in your hand. It was not edible so I threw it out.

This place is awesome. I moved to Bennington last year and cannot believe how lucky I am to have this place here. My daughter and I are in here all the time. This place would hold it's own in my old Bronx neighborhood, which is the highest compliment I can give to the pizza. Everything I've ever ordered here has actually been great. Also love the laid-back atmosphere and bar.

Pizza is the best bennington has to offer, yet customer service is horrible, ther servers can't take orders correctly half the time, I only go back because unfortunately, there are no better options nearby.

Forgot my gluten free pizza during an online order, but rectified it.

The best burger around town, in my opinion..Fresh local grown (Henry's) beef and comes with huge side of fresh cut fries.

I believe the food is good, but my experience was not good. The pizza chef apologized but that was after several attempts to just get the food. 25 minutes for a chicken wrap? After being assured it would be out soon. Ordered a GF pizza with hamburger and mushrooms, they served a gluten meatball on the pizza. “To us hamburger is a meatball.” I said I didn’t order meatballs. “To us hamburger is meatballs.” I sent it back They served me two pizzas before my wife got her food. The food was good but it didn’t work for me this time..

Lunch specials are a great deal, especially with the punch card buy 10 lunch specials and get one free. Plus note they don't charge you extra for sauce on the side(Pizza Hut does). Garlic knots are divine!! Pizza is amazing!! Love Ramunto's!!!!!❤️❤️

Kid friendly, delicious food (get the Thai chili) and full bar.

Do not recommend at all. Been several times and I still ask where is the brick oven? There isn’t one. Pizza is not crispy, and when asked to heat to crispy, the bottom is burnt. Friend ordered calzone which was visually large but nearly half a loaf of bread leftover that isn’t stuffed. Mozzarella cheese is processed, parmesan cheese tastes like its out of a 35lb bucket.

Currently waiting on hold for over 30 minutes trying to order ahead for a birthday party. Their online ordering doesn’t allow you to order ahead and they just keep placing me on hold and won’t even talk to me. Beyond frustrating.

Pizza on Long Island is way better.

A favorite for pizza. Eating there is a tad spartan. A bit typical bar/pizza place atmosphere. The people are so friendly that I don't mind bringing my kids there.The food is SOOO good.

The pizza and outdoor seating option brought us here. (We had our dog with us) The option of buying ready made pizza is nice. We each chose a couple of slices. Good size slices! I had one with tomato and balsamic vinegar drizzled on it. Loved It! The garlic knots were recommended to us,,,but I found them to be very, very greasy. Loved the pizza,,,but didn’t find the interior of the restaurant/bar to be very clean.

We always stop at Ramuntos when were in Vermont. They have great pizza and a great selection of beer.

pizza was ok, but way over cooked and dry. People were friendly. Place was busy. I would give them another shot, but this wasnt "brick oven" and pizza really wasnt that good. Just cooked way to long.........

Service people are decent, pizza was solid. Bartender had the personality of a snail- she needs some training on how to communicate with folks besides her local regulars. Maybe show some appreciation.

I ordered online, their website didn't seem like dine in was an option... I had a Buffalo chicken wrap that came with home made chips. The wrap was delicious, the chips were OK. I should have just gone in though when I ordered as their system put my pickup time out 30 minutes and it wasn't that busy... they also have lots of slice options if you don't want to get a whole pie.

Service was good and atmosphere is ok but the food was bland and undercooked.

We had been traveling from western PA to Bennington. I called the hotel and we were told this restaurant had the best pizza. I called and placed an order to be delivered to the hotel. My order was a thin crust pepperoni and sausage pizza with a side of marinara and ranch plus 2 small salads. The salads were fine however the pizza was not thin crust nor did we get the marinara or ranch sides . The pizza was also not hit. The delivery person had the pizza box not in a delivery warning pouch. Very disappointed.

Carnivore burger had a single onion ring with a pinch of pork in the middle .. 13 dollars .

Just passing thru town but well worth the stop. Delicious pizza, if you get the Sicilian style just beware it's huge! Tasty but wow, we barely ate a few pieces for 2 people. Nice staff and good beer selection if that's your thing!

Stopped in on way to NH from NJ. Great salad! Terrible pizza! No taste, no sauce, undercooked, bland, cheap dough. Will not return. Tossed remaining 6 slices in the dollar tree dumpster. Mgmt needs to go back to the drawing bd, maybe change to a salad place instead?

Good food you need to like garlic! Ceaser salad was fresh. Good meal. I would come back. :-)

Good food, just don't have them delivery. Food shows up cold and it takes them awhile.

Since moving to Vermont from the New York Metro Area, Ramunto's has been our go-to pizza place. We've eaten there, gotten take out, and had it delivered (one of the few things that actually delivers in the area)--all have been good. The restaurant is casual, with tables inside and out, and it has a bar that is open later than anything else in town. They have some great specials, including a great wing deal on Mondays. I like my wings super extra crispy and more often than not, I get them that way if I ask. I personally haven't explored their heroes and pasta, but they have a nice selection. We often order their house salad when we get take out and it's always been fresh. While I like my wings with classic hot sauce, I was introduced to the Triple Threat Sauce on the chicken tenders and it's pretty fabulous. I judge pizza by the regular pie and Ramunto's is solid--good crust, sauce, and cheese. However, for me, it's the Sicilian that really shines. Having grown up on Long Island and lived in Brooklyn for many years, I have eaten a lot of decent-to good-to excellent pizza (also some amount of mediocre and disappointing pizza) and I'd put the regular pie in the middle of happy pizza experiences. However, I think the Sicilian is as good as I have ever had. They have lots of toppings and some choices in sauce and while I love the regular cheese Sicilian, my favorite is to order it with the garlic knot sauce with caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, bacon, and artichokes. It's significantly more expensive that way, but so delicious!

The pizza was burnt which isn't the first time. Ordered last night with I could take a picture. Quality went way down hill lost me for a customer. Negative 5 star

Yesterday I placed and order at the Bennington Ramuntos. Let me start by saying the food was good, but the staff behind the counter, especially the 3 young ladies at the register supposedly expediting the food, leave a lot to be desired in regards to customer service. I placed an order around noon time to be picked up at 4:30pm. I arrived @ 5, knowing full well that my order would probably be cold, but totally my fault. The young lady at the register greeted me pleasantly, looked up my order, took my payment and then could not find my food. From what I understand, the order was placed on hold because it was for a later time, but never printed to be cooked? Okay, mistakes happen, no problem. Was told it should take about 10 minutes. Again, no problem. However, I waited 30 more minutes before my food was given to me, and not by the girls behind the counter, but the bartender who had to leave the bar and check. She went over to the young ladies (2 of whom, mind you were on the business telephone speaking with either a friend or employee for over 15 minutes) asking what the name was to look for my food. The pizza had been sitting on top of the ovens. When the bartender asked if there was anything else, one girl replied "wings and knots. I believe they are over on the shelf " All I have to say is REALLY!!! Why did it take the bartender going over to get me my order. The bartender did apologize, but by then I was so irate I just left. I received my order at 5:30, when it was supposed to be ready at 4:30, and no sense of customer service from your 3 young ladies working the counter, who were obviously more interested in their phone call and fooling around, or communication from the pizza cooks that the pizza was ready.

Excellent pizza just as good as the pizza I remember growing up on @ Town Spa in Stoughton Massachusetts very professional staff the place was clean will definitely b back next time l'm in the region.

Good pizza and calzone. On a recent Sunday afternoon the place was crowded, a bit noisy and people were friendly.

Our regular dinner stop on ski trips to this area. Meat lovers' stromboli is outstanding. Salads are good too, Friendly staff and customers. Great value compared to the resorts.

We are from CT and had Ramuntos on our first trip to Bennington three years ago. It was so good we didn't forget about it. On our most recent trip, we ended up getting pizza both nights from Ramuntos (one night in particular after having a terrible dinner at another restaurant which we barely ate)! The buffalo chicken, bbq chicken and margherita pizza are amazing and just as good as we remember. Also you can't leave without the garlic knots and cinnamon knots 😍

I had ordered take out. Just OK Pizza. Crust was too thick and felt like I was eating bread with a thin layer of flavorless sauce. Wings were OK too, with just a hint of hot sauce and with blue cheese that tasted like store bought sour cream. I avoided Dominos and Pizza Hut, expecting some great local pizza. In hindsight, I think Pizza from the big chains would have been better, at least you know what you are getting. My kids were so disappointed too.

This is really a very nice pizzaria. We are coming here 4 years in a row during our ski vacations. The pizza's are delicious and fresh. The people are very nice and to sit there is also cozy. The prices are nice too.

One of the worst pizzas I have had in a long time. Ordered a cheese pizza with mushrooms and onions. The sauce is flavorless and there wasn't much of it. There wasn't much in the way of cheese or vegetables either. Two of the slices had almost nothing on them. If I had been eating in, I would have sent this pizza back. Try somewhere else if you are looking for decent pizza in Bennington.

Stopped by for lunch with friends; Dope NY pizza. The taste is simply immaculate. Loved it. The pizza with caramelized onion has a rather sweet aftertaste, balanced by the melting cheese on top.

Apparently this location is too lazy to do two flavors on an order of wings. I’ve never been told from a business I can’t do half one flavor and half another. God forbid they have to wash another mixing bowl

Haven't been to Ramuntos in a few years because we relocated. I was hoping they were still good when we went to visit Vermont this past weekend. They did not disappoint. Still delicious!

The pizza was very good. Enjoyable place.

First time visiting, also being from out-of-state, husband and I figured you can't go wrong with a pizza place. I ordered pasta, and hubby ordered pizza. I received my pasta, and we waited about 20 minutes for pizza, so I started eating, but finally husband went to check the hold up, and the host apologized, said it would be about 8 more minutes, which ended up being about 20 more minutes. While observing the workers, it's notable that they are extremely unorganized, and the host kept running his fingers across his hair, simultaneously handling money, Cash register, and the pizza, without gloves. Female staff also handled food with out gloves, while handling money, cash register, and delivering food to table. This is why I gave a 3 star, However, the food was actually delicious and is a 5 star.

We have ordered several tes feom here. They seem to refund us every time weborder. Food takes about a hour and half for delivery, then it's burnt and cold. I can't believe cooks actually send burnt food out the door..do they think people won't complain. They need to learn about Quality at their next meeting and hire new cooks. See pictures $27 for a pizza and this us what was delivered! Would you pay that amount for a burnt pizza?? Would eat a pizza that's burnt like this? Our dogs even turned it down, now that says a lot!!

Decent pizza, but it's such a busy, divey style place, mostly locals, and mostly local teenage (polite, but rowdy) athletes after a game the couple of nights we went. Good kids work there, but unless you're looking for the rowdy vibe, I'd order out.

Pizza was okay the crust was hard and dry

My husband and I were at a nearby motel and didn't want to travel another mile. We got online to figure out our delivery options. We both enjoyed our meals!!!

Very friendly staff and environment, pretty packed already at noon, so quite popular, has an inviting casual dine in section. I had the 14" Margherita pizza which was good. Even though the pizza looks large for one person but because the dough is very thin you don't feel heavy afterwards, I took two slices home (which were even better the next day 🙂) I didn't care so much for the balsamic dressing on it and the fact that the basil was cooked as well instead of putting it on fresh at the end.

Respectable tap selection and the best pizza we've had in VT. We went because they were one of the few open on the holiday weekend, but we'll be back!

Please keep an eye on your Arlington restaurant, the pizza was not up to your Bennington resturaunt standards. We will try again.
