Spent a couple of hours here enjoying sitting by the Rail-to-Trail relaxing and eating a large & delicious plate of fish & chips. The service was very friendly, quick, and courteous. The food was cooked to order, a large portion and absolutely delicious. Wish I had kept leftovers :).

Reasonably priced, homey ice cream place. Cash only. Vermont shake was good but could’ve had more maple syrup. Crunch topping on soft serve is supposedly nuts but I couldn’t identify what kind.

The staff was friendly and on point. Comfort dinner and dessert.

Soft Chocolett review. Mostly Ice, no cream. Mix may be off with too much o2. Cannot comment on other items.

We only get ice cream here so cant comment on other offerings. Ice cream is delicious.

Super quirky decorations with a nautical theme. Our granddaughter loved all the mermaids sprinkled everywhere. My chili cheeseburger had the perfect amount of chili. The fries were very tasty, and the creemees were good.

We LOVE The Freez! Excellent friendly service with great food and ice cream. It's a Bennington favorite. Eat in your car or at an outside table.

Visiting from California while staying in Boston. Drrove to Vermont for a hike and was starving afterward. Saw this place and pulled over. We got a BLT and Grilled cheese. So cute. Outside picnic tables to eat. Great food too

My mom and I went and got ice cream since I was craving it. It was very good. Great service, nice staff. Fairly quick when we were there.

Food is great, however, if customers are waiting the staff should not be having extended casual chatty conversations with another customer. The girl that took my order did the best she could but when the other lady was told a fried item was needed she continued her conversation. She could have cared less that people were waiting in line, and that I was waiting on her to fry my food. Won't go back due to this rude customer service.

It was alright. Nothing special really. We were very surprised to see that what they called a 'fish fry' turned out to be fried fish in a hot dog bun. Not at all what was expected. Also make sure to ask for tartar sauce on the side else the sandwich will literally be swimming in it, we were spooning the stuff off to make it manageable. Ice cream was good too. What they called a 'freezy' is most similar to a DQ Blizzard and was pretty good. No complaints there. Outdoor seating was insufficient for the amount of parking they had available. Most disturbing was that the employees on break just sat on folding chairs next to the employee entrance of the place and watched us eat about 10ft away, just weird more than anything. Quick. Great tasting. Lots of options. Ladies at the counter were very nice and had great smiles. Reasonable prices. Easy parking. Clean tables. Stopped by for lunch. Chili dog was basic - meaty chili on a butterflied grilled hot dog - it was messy and everything a chili dog should be. I've gone here for over 25 years now, it's changed a little but still the same great feeling as it's always had. The train tracks that run behind the stand have been removed in favor of a walkway, the iconic menu that was on the side of the building is no longer there, but the food and service is just as good as it was 20+ years ago. Great milk shakes and soft serve ice cream (five stars for those). The soft serve raspberry flavours we had didn't really have a distinctive taste, they all tasted of vanilla.
