This place is way better than any waffle House. They know me by name when I walk in I literally have a cuppa coffee waiting on me. The Kitchen staff makes this place run along with the servers. I wouldn't even bother going anywhere else for breakfast

This establishment has been a family favorite for years. The staff are always a delight to talk to, and they are always smiling. The food here is quite scrumptious, and I will always recommend this place to anyone who asks. The restaurant itself gives off the vibe of a cozy old fashioned diner. The club sandwich is exquisite in every way possible. The bacon is always crunchy and a true gift to my taste buds. Their bacon burgers encompass the true American spirit in every bite. I love Sunrise to Sunset...

Ran out of coffee Cost 36 $ for 2 and only gave a half a smoke sausage after charging extra. Won't be back we found another place ...

Great little diner. Food was good. Service was amazing. Everyone had a smile and they worked like a team making sure our visit was good. I will definitely be coming back for more.

I've been coming here ever since, S2S opened. I've never been disappointed with the service, the meals or pretty much anything. It's such a blessing to be able to eat and spend time at such an amazing restaurant. The busy wait times are to be expected because well they're a good restaurant! Everyone is going to get the meal they paid for it just pays to be patient.

Blueberry French Toast this morning was delicious. Consistently good food and service.

This diner feels like a step back in time with its old-school charm. The food is typical diner fare, well-prepared and satisfying. It's a good place to enjoy a classic American meal without breaking the bank.

The waitresses are rude and not good with kids. The waitress was gone forever and came and gave me a dirty look because I went in with my two-year-old grandson I do not recommend this place for anybody

At first, it reminds you of one of the national chains until you taste their food. Then you realize there's no comparison. Great food and people!

My daughter and husband pancakes were burnt . With a picky child she really didnt eat it so a huge waste. The only thing she ate was eggs and Food was bland. Could have just went to cracker barrel for how much we paid.

My husband and I went to this place for Father's day. We got there around 12:45 approximately and left around 1:55 pm just before the 2 pm closing time. They served everyone in the restaurant who came before us and those who came after us, but they did not serve us. The last customer / couple walked in about 1:45 pm, got served around 1:50 pm. At 1:55 there were only my husband, I and the other couple who came in around 1:45. This was not an over site. In my opinion they refused to wait on us. What was that all about? I am still trying to find out. We were kind and absolutely polite.

Update, 6/24: Thank you for your reply, but there isn't anything you can do, as it should have happened at the time, like an apology, remorse and an attitude that we were valued customers not being demanding or difficult, but rather overlooked and ignored. I have no intention on returning. The actual owner(s) need to read this, evaluate what was/is the problem, and fix it for the benefit of future customers and the business. Everyone working in a restaurant or retail environment should be invested in the success of the entire operation, and all customers within. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I have been here twice with my wife and specifically wanted to go here for Father's Day. So we did, and arrived about 1:10 PM, just in time, as the place closes at 2 PM. We were greeted fairly quickly, got a table; the place was about 80% full in my estimation. The server was pleasant enough, took our order and brought our drinks. All seemed OK. 20+ minutes or so go by and we're having a nice conversation. Even got our coffees refilled. Another table had been sat near us before we arrived (I saw them order) and I noticed that they were done with their meal and were leaving, so it made me notice how long it had been. I called the server over (through another server) and asked about our order, and she seemed a little agitated and said they were still getting orders out on the other side of the restaurant. I was nothing but polite and respectful and we were patient, so let it go. Another table of three ladies had been sat next to us a few minutes earlier and after maybe 5-6 minutes, their food was served to them! We decided to leave, it was almost 1:50 PM! The server told us that they were making our eggs, and I told her that we were sorry and leaving. The bottom-line here is that no one apologized, the server seemed pissed at us, as if we did something wrong. When I spoke to the manager (or cook?) for a moment, again, no apologies or please let us make this right, on the house or nothing. Why did this happen? Who knows, but between our server, the other server, the cooks, a manager, etc., etc., someone should have been paying attention and noticed. Who's watching the store?

The Sunrise and Sunset restaurant is a local landmark. I have been going there for years and have never had a bad meal. Not sure what is going on here...2 cooks and food took 1 hour. Simple breakfast plates. We actually saw 2 tables leave because they were tired of waiting for their food.

Very good feel food came out relatively quick coffee was decent overall would recommend it’s a small local business so the food was good biscuits and gravy was lacking though

3 tables that came after us ate before we got our food. Ended up not even getting our food because we had been sitting for 30 minutes. Not good service and the cook clearly did not even care about the situation

Patriotic setting but on an older corporate store. The booths are small and not comfy but small groups and couples have a great setting for intimate conversations. The food is pricey but you do get a LOT of it. The presentation is old time diner with little gormet influence in taste. It will fill you up (yay!) which is the point of this old Americana type diner. The staff and patrons appear to be patriotic but a tad but clickish. Easy entry and exit from the property and a good amount of parking available. If you are passing through, this is the best breakfast place GCS has to offer.

Wife and I went for the first time for breakfast. Couldn’t have been more pleased. Restaurant was exceptionally clean. We were welcomed in when we opened the door. Food was outstanding! Service was excellent. If you haven’t tried this hidden gem. You should.

Food is always good when Mo is there. My husband ate here today, no Mo, and the service was slow and the food was not what he asked for. Toast was burnt and his hash browns had no cheese or onions in them and he paid for it.

Its like stepping back in time to an ole country dinner. Everyone is so nice and the little waitresses have the cutest accents and good ole sothern charm! My omlet was one of the best I ever had.

A very disappointing visit this morning. Normally we have a fine visit with good hot food. Not his time. I understand they were busy, but that doesn't excuse the poor service. After our order was taken it took over 30 minutes for our food to come out. When it did, the French toast I got was cold as if it had been sitting around for a long time. Our server never came back to check on us. The only time she did was to quickly drop off the check. She didn't even pause to ask us anything. Very dissatisfied with our visit.

This is the best breakfast restaurant I’ve ever been to, I love coming here on my mornings off to just hangout and eat, delicious food I had the two egg breakfast and it was HAMMIN it was soooo good, I also really love their strawberry French toast. By far the best place to eat , the nicest people work there, truly the best place to eat out!

Hardly ever have an issue with their food. The only issue with this visit was the group of people sitting next to us was obnoxiously loud and annoying!

The waitress (Vickie) was rude at first (she asked to take our order, and we weren't ready, and she said we're closing in 45 minutes! (It was the way she said it) then my daughter needed a little more time (this was her first time there and needed to look over the menu a bit longer) and the waitress didn't like that and walked away saying that she was going to go ahead and put the order in for us and come back, then she got a little better as time went on. The food I got wasn't what I expected (I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese in a pita and I got a bacon, egg and cheese on a flat pita that was folded over like a big Taco and the bread wasn't toasted or grilled). The prices were a bit high and the sides were extra (& expensive). The drinks were almost $4 (for a little hometown diner, I think that is a bit much). Needless to say, it will be a while (maybe never) before I go back. But I will say the other food (bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel and on a croissant roll were delicious, according to my family members, and we all like the home fries.

Enjoyed my breakfast yesterday but want to pass on that they no longer have scrapple. They changed food suppliers, this one does not offer scrapple so my 37 mile round trip was a bust. Breakfast still excellent though.

Went there Saturday. Great service good food.. . Went back Thursday for lunch terrible service.. the waitress got Our order and stayed away the whole she did not come back one time. And they were not even busy... So-called homemade chili was too spicy.. the food we had prior to that was good. I just won't get the same waitress next time.

Walked in, got a friendly "You can sit right there, Hon!" greeting. That was a great beginning! The first great sign was a full parking lot and busy inside! We ordered breakfast, and the coffee/water was back to the table in under a minute! Food took some time, but the place was packed. When it did arrive, it was hot and delicious! Being in a small town, the vibe was awesome! Everyone knows everyone! Loved this! Our first-time here, but not our last!!

Googled a good sit down breakfast place and found this lil local favorite! It’s a old Waffle/Huddle House but the menu is far from those places. Randy Travis and the Judds were playing over the speakers and the staff were all happy and pleasant, they called the locals by their first names! Granny (Vickie) was my server 😊 and the food was fast and tasty although it was packed! As far as the food…Anytime I can get Corned Beef Hash and Raisin bread for breakfast, count me in!! Food was tasty and hot. Will be back to try the lunch menu soon…Grilled Liver and Onions, Meat Loaf, or maybe Country Fried Steak! Yum! 🤤 Included pics of menu. They serve the entire menu during open hours! 6am through lunch. They are not open for dinner time.

The atmosphere is nothing to brag about. Looks like it was probably an old Waffle House with dated seating. It was clean other than the sticky syrup container. The service started off very good. The food was good and plentiful. The prices are low. Here's where we were surprised. The bill total was $XX.46. We handed her a $XX.00 but she didn't have change. After getting change, she brought us back the dollars but not the cents. We've had this happen to us in the past however the waitress would bring back whole dollars in the customers favor and not the other way around.

We went here for breakfast both mornings we were here. The food and service were both excellent! Could not have asked for any better. Loved It!

These are the reasons I removed 1 star: The ladies bathroom main soap dispenser did not work. The table did not have strawberry jam, but the restaurant did. Yes, I could have asked, but other tables had it, so all tables should have it. Last, there was too much butter on my toast which made it soggy. This why they earned 4 stars: The staff was great! They had good chemistry and made it a comfortable family atmosphere. We ordered the healthy lover’s omelet, which he two egg breakfast, and the tater special. The healthy lover’s omelet had turkey, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese. The omelet was fluffy and not greasy! The two egg breakfast’s bacon was crispy and the eggs were scrambled to perfection. The tater special is a tortilla with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and cheddar cheese. It was not huge, but enough to fill. The hours are limited; definitely all before you go. If you are looking for a nice family place for breakfast, stop on in!
