Amazing experience. The waiter overheard our party talking about my husband being the “birthday boy.” At the end dinner brought out ice cream with a huge candle! They played special music and everybody in the restaurant sang. It was such a rare experience that you see the staff take notice of someone’s birthday and take it upon themselves to celebrate. We are so thankful and grateful for a restaurant like that. Additionally, when you are seated they start you off with a bowl of miso soup and a fried imitation shrimp roll. This sushi place really makes you feel exceptional and like they go above and beyond and truly care. This is going to be our only sushi place we visit in Jacksonville!

I love Japan and I haven’t ate Japanese food but it looks good so we went here and the food is AMAZING. They gave us this free sushi thing that was amazing it was sweet but not too sweet and the food was amazing. Definitely go here

I'm from NY and me and my husband travel a lot and love eating at different Japanese restaurants. This is one of the best Japanese restaurants we have tried. Great service, flavor, everything super fresh, great food portion sizes and amazing attention to details. We had hibachi chicken with a California roll. Everything was outstanding. They even surprised us with a sampler roll and a sweet treat at the end. It was just amazing.

Hands down the best dumplings we’ve ever had! All of the food was so delicious. We were even given a complimentary appetizer AND dessert! The staff is so friendly and provided wonderful service. It was someone’s birthday at the table next to us and I’ve never seen a restaurant celebrate someone’s birthday the way they do! We can’t wait to come here more often.

saying "the food was delicious" does not do this place justice. we eat hibachi style foods alot, and this is our favorite place now! the service was prompt, we sat down and immediately had drinks and soup, our food order not too far behind it. The filet mignon hibachi was falling apart in my mouth with how tender it was, the flavor was perfect and it was SO juicy, I felt high for a second with how insanely amazing it was!! I also snatched my fiancé's chicken hibachi and it was soooo tender and juicy and the flavor was also perfection. He also wanted me to add, "whatever that treat they brought out before was delicious," and i have to add that bringing us out a small dessert was such a nice touch. I've never received such amazing service, this is absolutely our new spot and I'd recommend this to anyone and everyone!

We chose Sweet Sushi because of the great reviews and after our experience, I'm compelled to further confirm their great ratings. We visited specifically for sushi and were so pleased we did! We sat at the sushi bar because all tables were full. My only suggestion to the owners would be to either lower the sushi counter or get higher chairs... it felt a bit awkward at first, but we quickly forgot about it as the Service and Sushi Chefs were top notch, pleasant and attentive. We were given a complimentary sushi roll and an interesting appetizer that were both delicious. The sushi was very fresh and flavorful, and as busy as they were, we got our food quicker than I anticipated. I have to also mention their celebration for birthdays is quite unique and fun. We even got a complimentary dessert to share that was very tasty and unexpected. Next time we are looking for sushi, we will definitely return!!

My son and I made it our mission to try every sushi place in Jax we can find. Sweet Sushi is our favorite. Clean restaurant ,attentive customers service by Harry and very fresh fish. And they still give you fortune cookies( it’s not that common any more)!

I am absolutely obsessed with this restaurant. I crave it everyday! Not only is the food amazing but the service is top tier. They give soup and a fried sushi roll on the house which was the best thing I’ve eaten ever, I dream about this fried sushi roll. We brought our 3 month old and they were so kind to him checking on him and making sure we were comfortable often. truly amazing place and amazing people

This place was awesome! We actually aren’t from here and we were looking for something to eat and we had decided on Mexican food! We went to go to the Mexican place next door, but saw this place and switched! Glad we did! The service was great! Our drinks were always full! They immediately brought us soup and an appetizer roll of sushi! We got edamame, and grilled chicken hibachi. They brought us and our son out a fried Oreo at the end of our meal also which was unexpected and tasted so good! 10/10 recommend!

Nice place with good food, not expensive. First time we had the waitress Amy, very sweet Asian young woman. She was fantastic. Very helpful, our son has some food allergies and she was super helpful with that and everything else. Previous visit had another female young waitress, she was checked out, her heart was not in it.

I loved this restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious, but best of all was the very warm and attentive service. I will definitely be back. They serve some rolls for free, as an appetizer, which are delicious too and I thought that was nice.

Awkward pick up process. Who asks for ID verification/ phone verification when I’m telling you my name for a Togo order. Employees disagreeing with each other inside the restaurant about it. Smh

Quick service, beautiful presentation, good food, prices, and portions. Also, received several complimentary dishes. Free soup, a fried roll, and a fried Oreo. All delicious. I definitely know I look forward to ordering across the menu going forward, because so far, there wasn't one thing that wasn't wonderful. Update: I ate there again since and it was better than I remembered. Got the crazy roll, the vegetempura appetizer, and the fried ice cream. Very pleased with the whole experience. Tasty food, courteous servers.

Awesome place I go to after church ends on sundays. Decent prices, good food, swift service. Maybe don't go with the lobster though, but everything else is great.

Best Japanese in all of Jacksonville, nothing more to say. Just a note though: they do steamed/Fried Rice + Noodles, which is different and sometimes I just ride with it. But most of the time I ask for double rice instead of noodles. Only thing I needed to share, otherwise, this place is the GOAT.

What an amazing place!! I can't believe this was my first time visiting Sweet Sushi & Grill and we live right around the corner! The sushi was extremely high quality! Some of best salmon sashimi I've ever had in the USA. Beautiful presentation as you can see from the pictures. As soon as we sat down we were presented with a complementary sushi appetizer, which was excellent, and clear soup, which was also amazing. Service was outstanding, we never had to ask for our server and someone was always there to clear plates off of our table. We will be back very soon and very often. Our new favorite place!!

Best sushi and hibachi in the Bartram Springs area. Very small place but both the food and service are excellent. They have both inside and outside seating. I highly recommend this establishment.

We accidentally happened upon this amazing restaurant. I almost don’t want to share to keep It a hidden gem (obviously not hidden, the word is out). Our service was constant and impeccable. Soup, appetizer, and dessert were a sweet treat. Even our picky eater daughter ate the children’s broccoli, rice, and chicken without hesitation. Our sushi and sashimi was out of this world. Our picky eater even said this is her new favorite restaurant!! We do not disagree!! So happy to Have a local family and small restaurant do well!! Cannot wait to try more of the menu!!

Wow! Found another hidden gem! The food was delicious. The waiter and waitress were extremely nice and very attentive. Drink remains full, and I didn't need to ask for anything. Service at its best! It's hard to find these days. Also, complimentary crab roll appetizer and fried oreo desert 😋 delicious! Best Japanese restaurant that I have been to. Will definitely be back.

Food is amazing, hibachi and sushi are always the go to and you cannot go wrong. Incredibly friendly service, the older lady who helps the servers is always so friendly and extremely welcoming. This has become the only sushi place we go to for the past year.

Fantastic creative sushi and delicious sashimi! Loved the Moon roll and the Love roll!!! Complimentary Holiday roll and clear soup as well as a finish with tempura Oreos! Definitely strongly recommend!

Husband and I stopped in halfway through a long drive from Daytona to Georgia. Amazing food, huge portions - you won’t leave here hungry! It was an unexpected highlight of our trip. Highly recommend the hibachi and the Q roll.

This experience was phenomenal from the very second that we walked through the door!! The service was incredible, and the food was absolutely delicious. It was my daughter’s birthday, and their birthday celebration song and disco party was the cherry on top! This is absolutely a new family favorite!

My experience was great and the servers were really attentive. The only small problem I had was my booth was at the end, next to the door that doesn't open, which had a hole and caused a small draft.

The food was great! We stopped here on our way through town and I’m glad we did. It was the best Chinese any of us have had in awhile. The moment we sat we were given hot soup. Which was great because it was a chilly rainy day. We had the chicken and shrimp hibachi, steak and shrimp hibachi and we’ll as 3 sushi rolls. Everything was delish. The fried Oreos were a surprise and the best I’ve ever had!

I frequent this restaurant at least once per week. The service and food is always A+. There meals are well seasoned and you don’t even need the sauces. I typically order the shrimp hibachi and have never been disappointed with the service or food.

I lived in Japan for 5 years. This restaurants food is extraordinary.It's a hidden jewel of Japanese restaurants in Jacksonville! Their prices are very inexpensive considering the meal you'll receive. Their food quality, and sushi platters are real art. Service is absolutely amazing and food taste is consistently 5 Stars. We were given appetizers (on the house). They were mouth salivating delicious pieces of Katsu. Made me a believer. The vegetables are cooked to perfection also for any vegetarians out there. They have very healthy food choices with a wonderful lunch menu. Lunches are not skimped on either. Very large portions for lunches. I have always had a great experience eating here.

What a great little gem. Place is located in an shopping mall, unassuming place but oh so good. We met some friends on a friday evening. Place is the size of a living room but you dont feel cramped. Upon seating they bring a complimentary sushi app. We ordered a few rolls of sushi and hibachi. Food is awesome place is really clean and presentarion is great also. Sweet sushi got my vote. Visited this establishment for the first time with my family of 5 for dinner. Right from the moment we sat down, they served us soup and an appetizer. The service was outstanding, the servers were very friendly and the food was amazing! Loved it and will be returning again soon!!

We absolutely loved this restaurant! The staff were super attentive and sweet, and they gave so many complimentary dishes (sushi and fried oreos). The food was genuinely some of the best Japanese food I’ve ever had. I’d rate even higher if I could; I highly recommend! Everytime we have come here we have had great experiences. The staff are very efficient, don't expect a long conversation but they do a great job taking care of you. The food is reasonable and the included soup, free roll and dessert make it worth it. Would recommend and we will continue to go here regularly!!

This little place continues to deliver at a high level. Food is always great. Prices are fair. And you couldn't get faster service at a drive through. Very small, so they fill up fast during dinner. But with good reason. Highly recommended if you enjoy sushi with lots of extras.

Disappointed to find the eats is not as good as the reviews given here. The agedashi tofu was tasteless and served as tiny fried cubes of tofu. The sushi and fish is not fresh and tasted awful. I do not recommend this establishment to potential customers.

First review after several visits. Food and service are consistently great. Today, we went for lunch and I ordered the chicken hibachi, but with just broccoli for a low carb meal. Started off with clear soup and salad. When dining in, they always provide a complimentary crab roll. Lunch specials available Monday through Friday except holidays.

I'm not the biggest sushi fan - I like only a couple of rolls and eel sushimi, but this place has made me a convert! The service was outstanding and the food was fresh and delicious. They even brought us a small roll to try, which was amazing and I wish I knew what it was! My only minor complaint is the ginger salad dressing doesn't seem to have any ginger in it. I love ginger salad dressing at Japanese restaurants, but this one is lacking flavor. Again this is very minor, but I thought should be noted. I will be going back a lot more frequently!

Absolutely outstanding lunch. The service was fast , provided a starter and soup at no extra charge over and above what I ordered. The restaurant was 75% full. Lots of laughs and just a great atmosphere.

Been there 5 times during peak hours, food comes fast service is so nice and quick, food is amazing, price is low/fair. Also make sure to tell them when it's your birthday.

Complimentary soup and appetizer was dee-lish-ous! Fancy treatment for extremely good value. We went at lunch time and couldn’t believe the fantastically economical prices. The chunks of raw fish in the rolls was large and super fresh ingredients. The staff and setting were so sweet! They were packed at lunch when we went and service was lovely. I didn’t want to leave the area so we could go back for more sushi the next day! 10/10 on cleanliness, freshness, value, taste, presentation, service, setting - we were so nicely blown away!
