Wasn't there Google got it wrong. Loved it....

I've been to probably 50 or more different pubs in Ireland. Most have a community feel that is very hard to find here. This pub, although isn't Irish themed, is probably the closest thing you can get to an authentic Irish pub in the States. It's not about their music or craic, It's about the community and the feel this pub puts off. Pay this place a visit. It well with it. I feel if you do, you'll want to call it "your neighborhood pub"!

One of the best vibes in Gainesville can be found at The Bull. They're an easy top contender for friendliest staff, and I feel so much a part of the family when I visit that Olive Garden ought to surrender their slogan. Please visit here if you like beer, friendship, and good times.

Wonderful downtown pub. I'm new to Gainesville and stopped in to listen to jazz on a Wednesday night. The owner behind the bar, Jacob, is very welcoming and laid back. Might have discovered my new favorite place.

Nice little weekend spot. No liquor or food though. Also, I am old, so I wear ear plugs when they have live music, or leave by 9. Service is always excellent.

Always a good time, the bartender, I think her name is Brit is the sweetest soul and the owner with the handlebar moustache is cool and chill. I love that they display local art and it's just a good vibe.

The jazz performance held on Saturday was really good.

This is a classic bar. No food, an ok selection of beer, limited wine and ciders. But, it has a good hangout vibe going and the staff is friendly.

The owner here is extremely knowledgeable about the beers and wine. They don't serve any hard alcohol but the beers that they carry are crazy delicious. Super friendly people. Local legend Tom Miller bartends during the days throughout the week and is a great conversationalist. Val, who bartends at night on the weekends, is very nice and has the best playlist in town. I usually make my first stop at The Bull when I go out downtown.

Best little place to relax and listen to some good music every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3 to 6. The Bartender is the best in Gainesville imo... Friendly environment to come and chill.

I enjoyed this place! Came here one night for live music outside. It was a fun time, though I wish Fat Tuesday could have turned down their music... Lots of interesting things to look at inside and I liked their beer selection. Will be coming back soon.

A local's hidden gem. The Bull has a great selection of specialty beers and hosts numerous community events from swing dancing, to salsa dancing, to poetry readings, to storytelling hour, to concerts, to... you never know what you'll find happening at the Bull, but you'll want to be there for it!

Love this place for a nice glass of wine. Also many kinds of beer of you prefer it. This place great to visit on Thursdays because the street becomes a salsa dancing event with DJ.

This place is the socializing hub of Gainesville. Although humble in it's appearance, it hosts dances, bands, events that make you fall in love with the place in fraction of a second. Come explore this place by yourself, i know for a fact that you'll enjoy.

The bill is tiny. It is friendly. They have a small selection of really great beers. They seem to have a lot more “art house” events if that’s what you’re looking for. . If you’re coming down to the fest they seem to host primarily outdoor acoustic events. And don’t worry they still had all your pbr deals.

I love open mic Mondays listening to all local performers⭐ Not a beer fan but the bartender found a beer I actually didn't mind which was really nice and tasty. It may get crowded sometimes but it's still always worth it!

Although I don't drink I wanted to at least give them the five star review they deserve for cooperating with Gator salsa club and being welcoming to its members. Also, the bathroom is very clean. If I did drink this is the bar I would go to.

Hipster bar with a little stage that they often host live music at. It's somewhat small but a really great place to chill. They have open mic nights and such. Really good variety of drinks to try. Next time I'm in town I'll definitely be stopping by. I have some good memories at this place. Feels like forever ago!

Mandisa Mondays are too die for. I love this local establishment and the beautiful, supportive cultural vibe that it inspires.

Very chill atmosphere with awesome drinks. Great variety of things to try. Staff was super friendly. Definitely recommend! They also have live music sometimes which is a lot of fun. The seasonal Vikings Blod Honey Wine was amazing!

The Bull is the single reason I still live in Gainesville. I've met nearly every person I love in this community through that bar. It's magical. If you're not visiting the Bull, you're doing the whole Gainesville thing wrong.

I went to a storytelling night at The Bull and felt like I was in a great Brooklyn bar. It isn't too hip for me although at 67. I couldn't stop looking around at all the amazing 'stuff' everywhere, can't wait to bring my Brooklyn kids here.

Was there long enough for a beer and a quick card game. I appreciate that they offer aspiring musicians a venue. On my night, there was a screaming, guitar framming aspirant. Painful but humorous. His friends applauded while others couldn't take it and voted with their feet. Very sweet and long suffering bartender with a good choice of beers.

Can't say enough about it. It's a fantastic neighborhood bar that is so spiritually cozy. It has great natural lighting and comfy seating. You can come as you are and be welcomed. I love everything about it. The Bull truly represents community.

Cool little wine bar downtown Gainesville FL

The Bull is a hip place, too hip for someone like me, but it is fun to aspire. The team does a great job of providing a cool environment with friendly service. The place gets pretty packed during peak times, but they always do there best to serve everyone. Jacob does a fantastic job and works to make the Bull more than just a bar. If you avoid the packed times, it is a quiet local bar with great service and a cool vibe.

I use to go there because SafeSpace Cafe is held there! Really good ambience, really good people and I really like the vibe! You can have some beers, but also coffees and teas there! You should go! ^^

Pretty hip spot! Bar tender was very chill and honestly wish we could have stayed a bit longer but had other places to be. Definitely recommend for just a quick drink or somewhere to hang out!

This is becoming my favorite place to be downtown before I eat. The owner is a super nice gentleman and has a finely crafted mustache. The drinks are always varied and last time I was there they had Orange Blossom Pilsner on draft!!! Impossible! Go here and enjoy good company and a unique atmosphere.

Craft beer, live music, good local vibes, quirky atmosphere, and friendly locals. Early in the evening it's a great place to meet up with friends or get some work done. Later on there's almost always live music, and the atmosphere gets lively and fun. Love this local pub.
