Got my son's smash cake and a 2 tier Bluey themed cake from here. It was flawless and amazing but check your receipts. They charged me for decorations twice ($40) when all they did was put colored balls on the cake that I purchased. So they got a free $20 out of me lol. Anyways always check the reciept!! Smash cake was free, 2 tier was close to 200

The cocoa bean made my graduation cake EXACTLY like I asked. I did not want traditional SLU colors because lets face it, they are not girly. I asked for light yellow and light green. They did an amazing job! The cake was the best red velvet cake I have ever had. It was super moist which I have struggled finding with other bakeries. Everyone mentioned how good the cake was. We ate on the cake for days and it never once tasted stale. They also made my cake SO big, which was awesome and a party favorite. They also made me the cutest "She said Yes" cake! Can't wait to order my birthday cake from them soon!🎂

I needed a cake last minute and had an idea that wasn't a photo of a cake you could just find anywhere. The Cocoa Bean did a fantastic job putting together a picture that I had in my head. A plus, the cake tasted delicious!

We ordered our wedding and groom's cake from The Cocoa Bean bakery and we were so happy with the service, the flavors, the experience with Anthony deciding flavors and design. Everyone was so great and welcoming. The wedding cake was so beautiful and perfect and so delicious!!! The groom's cake was amazing, exactly what we wanted, and even better than we could've imagined. I ordered a cake for my Fiancé’s birthday. They were very helpful in taking my order over the phone a week in advance. Customer service is top tier. The cake on the other hand blew us away. Expertly made, the taste and texture had us amazed. The best cake I’ve had in years with no flaws. I’ll be getting all my cakes from here. 10/10

Our one year anniversary had just passed and the cake defrosted tasted just as good an entire year later!! So disgusted, I should have known when the gal taking my order said she was new that it wouldn't be good. I asked to decorate it "pretty", all they did was write happy birthday on the cake, no border color or roses. When I called to complain, I was told that they decorated it the best they could since I wasn't charge "decorating fee" my reply was, maybe I should have been told that when I order it. I'm totally disappointed with the cake.. This is the first time I ever had this issue.

This place did a great job on my daughters birthday cake also for Thanksgiving, and man are their apple pie 🥧 was super duper great... we also had the pumpkin and pecan and they were also as well. Highly recommend, I was visiting from Kentucky home of the bourbon.

OMG!!! I’ve been ordering my cakes from a bakery in Nola and saw the Death Valley cake they had made, so I thought I’d give them a try. Unbelievable! Got 2 cakes, state of Louisiana with tiger eye and Fleur de Lis, lemon with cake inside purple and yellow tiger stripes and football, red velvet with LSU vs Army. Not only were the cakes absolutely beautiful, the flavor and quality was impeccable. I usually have about 5 to 6 cakes made a year, Cocoa Bean is now my go to bakery!

I bought a strawberry shortcake for my son’s wedding rehearsal dinner, it was amazing! Everyone enjoyed it. I also purchased two dozen mini pastries, they made extra and gave them to me a no extra charge. Would absolutely recommend!

This was my first bad experience with not receiving what I ordered and poor customer service I was left with a cake on the day and time it was needed for an event that no one eats I was told to bring the cake back when I called but how is that possible when I'm out of town no customer service at all

A Blueberry Muffin? Nope, just a muffin. We've been patronizing this institution for years. All of our special occasions the last 3 years marked by cakes from here. Sad that the quality has diminished to this level.

You honestly can't go wrong here. I was tasked to get a last minute birthday cake for a coworker. I stopped here and they actually had a variety of cakes ready to go.... delicious!! So I started stopping here to get a few slices randomly.... now its a addiction lol... Staff is always so friendly... cake is always fresh! They also sell food which I didn't know I can't wait to try it!

We were thrilled with the selection of pastries here. The cream puffs were the absolute best I've ever eaten. Looking forward to visiting here again, soon. The staff was very patient and friendly. We visited The Cocoa Bean again on our recent visit to Hammond. Picked up more cream puffs, and tried the Chicken Tangi Panini. If you've never tried it, you are missing a treat! We're already talking about picking up an assortment of items from here for our family Christmas get-together!!

Cocoa bean bakery, I am very please with the outcome of my son‘s 8th birthday for both at school and home with family. My son turned 8 last week, so we celebrated cupcakes at the school. Everybody gave praises to Cocoa Bean, so I was like damn, the cake going to be awesome too. My son‘s birthday cake was moist and gorgeous. I normally get my birthday cakes from Haydel Bakery and have been a loyal customer for years, but I got to give it to Chef Anthony, his cakes beat Haydel’s Bakery. The cake was done perfect. The icing wasn’t too sweet, which allowed me to enjoy the entire cake. The cake was moist, and the buttercream….I never had buttercream like that before. Normally when my son eats a slice of cake, he would nibble, but eat all the icing. My son ate his entire slice of cake. I will definitely be using Cocoa Bean bakery again thank you.

Best birthday cake I've bought so far. The icing wasn't too sweet and the cake was very soft and moist. The downside is that it's alot of icing. Maybe it's because of the amount of layers, because their cakes are 3 layers. So if you're not a fan of alot of icing, I wouldn't recommend. Other than that, they're great.👍🏾 I gave 4 stars because it was too much icing on the cake.

Chef Anthony is INCREDIBLE! We had cocoa bean design two cakes for our wedding: a traditional wedding cake and a fun cake that incorporated both me and my husband. We met with Chef Anthony a few months before our wedding to do a cake tasting and discuss style. We weren’t sure what we really wanted and he walked us through everything step by step and had so many incredible suggestions and ideas that really helped us find exactly what we wanted. The traditional wedding cake was beautiful and absolutely delicious. We were SO so so incredibly impressed and floored by the fun cake though!! We gave Chef Anthony six different tv shows/books that my husband and I are big fans of and he helped us figure out how to get them all on one cake without it just looking like a bunch of stuff thrown together. All we had were ideas and he took them and created something so unique and exactly what we didn’t even know we wanted. I loved and adored it so much and it came out exactly like we wanted and like we asked! It was easily one of my absolute favorite things about the wedding and we cannot recommend Chef Anthony enough!

I absolutely love this coffee shop! It has so many delicious treats unfortunately I was only there for coffee but I took the Liberty off taking plenty of pictures so I know next time what I'll try!

Best bakery in the Hammond area at least. But I've been all over and it's a strong contender for top 10 anywhere. I always stop by when I'm in town for a special treat.

Talk about a delicious assortment of baked goods and lunch options! I dropped by to pick up a few goodies for my aunt and cousin, and my aunt and cousin wound up loving all of the items so much that they had to cut each item in half so they wouldn't steal more than their own share, haha! The muffaletta we got also hit the spot!!

The carrot cake they made for a co worker’s birthday was incredible. Days later people still talking about it. Very friendly on the phone and in person. Will definitely be back!

Great pastries made fresh and served by a friendly staff. In this age of frozen, mass produced grocery store bakeries, a real treat of quality. Reasonable prices. The cakes—fantastic. Other highlights like the glazed pecan hand pie and chocolate mousse bomb really set these folks above.

They made our wedding cake and did a fantastic job. This bakery is very competitive in the industry with the talent to do some of the best cake work in the area. Delicious flavors (favorite is the Italian cream) and the cake is very moist and fresh. Received many compliments and would highly recommend.

I love this place! The chocolate croissant and almond croissant are both my favorites, but they make great sandwiches too. Go here if you want excellent iced coffee.

I am in love with this place. From their coffee to their pastries to their cakes, everything is phenomenal. This place is the talk of the town when it comes to custom cakes. If you want a cake done beautifully for any occasion, you would be a fool to take your business anywhere other than the Cocoa Bean. If you have not tried this place, you are for sure missing out on something special.

Our birthday cake was ordered in less than a week (kinda last minute). Cocoa Bean was very accommodating, customer service was pleasant both on phone and in store. Cake was simple and beautifully made. Only issue was way too much buttercream frosting. The cake itself was tasty once you removed all the excess frosting. Will order from them again just ask for adjustments on buttercream or a different frosting altogether.

A few months back we attended a birthday party for one of my preschooler's friends. She had a Frozen themed cake and it was absolutely beautiful. However, many beautiful cakes, while attractive, don't actually taste very good. They cut the cake and passed out pieces to both the children and parents. I took a polite bite and ended up finishing the entire slice. It was fantastic! I inquired where they had purchased the cake and learned it was from the Cocoa Bean Bakery, I made a note in my phone should I have need of a cake in the future. A few weeks later, while planning my teenager's high school graduation party, I contacted Cocoa Bean to discuss dessert options. My teenager wasn't interested in a regular cake, so the young lady at the bakery suggested a dessert selection made up of mini cheesecakes, eclairs, fruit tarts, cream puffs, and chocolate dipped strawberries. Every single item was, without exception, attractive and delicious. It was another hit. Two weeks after graduation, we had yet another event, our preschooler's birthday party. Once again, I turned to Cocoa Bean Bakery and, once again, they knocked it out of the park. They made an incredible two tier planet cake for my spaced obsessed munchkin. I wasn't interested in using fondant, and they still a manged to make an incredibly smooth buttercream icing finish. The kids couldn't wait to eat it and the parents admired the craftsmanship. I sent photos of the party to out-of-state friends and family and they all commented on how fantastic the cake was. It really was a stand-out. I can't recommend Cocoa Bean Bakery enough and won't hesitate to use them again for all our future special events and parties.

Was looking for a place to get birthday cakes. This was the first place that popped up on google. Let me tell you how happy I am that it did! They made our daughters birthday cake just AMAZING! It looked just like what we showed them . Definitely came out better then I was expecting. It tasted so yummy as well. I love how it had a lot of icing. The cake was overall a 10! One of the best birthday cakes I’ve ever gotten . Don’t even get me started on the price . I was expecting wayyyyy more. Very satisfied with our overall experience. Tried some of the other pastries and even lunch there. Loved the outside seating area. Food was so dang good. Trust me you won’t be disappointed with this place.

we didn’t have any cakes.. yet! they do sell them by the slice but i was too full! the pastries all looked amazing though! we went for an early lunch and enjoyed the fresh made potato soup and half chicken tango panini with a toffee latte and all were amazing. earmarked this place for pastries in the future.

We always get our birthday cakes here and we are never disappointed. Their cakes are beyond delicious and their other treats are yummy too. I 100% recommend their baklava. I'm from NY and sort of was spoiled on how authentic Greek bakeries made it. Haven't had good baklava in YEARS until we found this place. Tastes just like I always remember it tasting.

I try to get a good birthday cake once a year, and I love good quality buttercream. Their cakes look nice but seem mass produced. The buttercream icing has very little flavor and tastes and feels like a mouth full of shortening. My cake from there was just okay. Some of their other pastries are better.
