The restaurant is a great place to dine. They have authentic Greek food which is so delicious. Carlos is one of the best cooks. Would highly recommend. A great variety of dishes, my favorite is the chicken souvlaki

Place literally offers a free baklava for a review on google. That should tell you everything. Terrible food and staff are not friendly. Lifeless place…

The food was great and the portions were very large for the price. I’m definitely going to make two meals out of this gyro. And the baklava was to die for 10/10 would recommend. Will definitely be back

I just had a horrible experience with an order for delivery through the Hungry Greek website directly. At 11:20 am, I placed the order. The wrong door dasher picked up my large lunch order which was ready on time at 12:00. I got a notification from the correct door dasher that my order was being cancelled. When I spoke to the first gentleman who answered there, he said there was nothing he could do. He recommended that I call door dash to get a refund. I then spoke with the manager Dave. He gave me no apology, no satisfaction except an offer to remake the order and have it delivered which took another hour. So in total, a crew of 8 hungry people waited 2 hours for their lunch. There was no offer of accommodation other than this. In the realm of customer satisfaction, obviously both the manager and the staff need serious training. This was not a little order by any means. I expected this order to be free after waiting 2 hours for it which should be the appropriate thing to do. However it was not which is ridiculous. Terrible customer service, awful customer satisfaction for mediocre food at best. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Definitely will go back. It was really good and plates were overflowing.

The place was good, a little better than average. There was nothing offputting in particular, but nothing exceptional either. My family and I may or may not go back here depending on other options we're aware of in the area. Unfortunately, I don't have much to say about it.

Food amazing and fresh. Service great. But i didn’t appreciate the smelly homeless man who came in 4 times to refill a soda and then spent 10 minutes in the bathroom before coming up to ask for money (5x total on my visit. 2 outside. 2 inside. And once again outside ). Staff didn’t mind him so i assume it’s a regular thing.

The beautiful Greek music was so special it made the restaurant more than a fast food atmosphere. Oh thank you. Oh thank you 00.

This place is absolutely amazing! The staff was incredibly helpful, providing just the right amount of assistance to offer plenty of options without overwhelming. The fries were fresh, the gyro was perfect, and the dessert was the cherry on top. We can't wait to come back!

Logan and Adam are great guys, honestly we came in for Vacation during Memorial day weekend and some of the stores were closing early but they made sure to hook us up. Definitely will stop by next Vacation.

I stopped by during a business trip and was pleasantly surprised on the quality of food at the price point. Definitely a great spot to stop for a gyro if you are in downtown Tampa. Got to say service was also extremely friendly. Will visit again.

When I got there they were sweeping the floor with a red broom. While I was eating, I looked over and they were sweeping the wall ABOVE the grill with a red broom! I got several packets of ketchup and every one was sticky and greasy. Good food but I'm not sure how sanitary the place is.

Super cool spot with fresh and healthy food! Went with the classic Gyro plate and was not disappointed! Plenty of food that was super good with a ton of flavor! The service was top notch too, very polite and brought our order to the table. Will definitely be back!

The Hungry Greek gets 0 stars from me. The dining room smells like the garbage needs to be taken out, or the walk in hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time. I ordered the spinach pie/spanakopita. They put it in the microwave to pre-heat it before placing it on the flattop grill and placing a metal spatula on it to “ quicken the warm up time.” This perplexed me and I said so to the person preparing my order. Both of those treatments to the delicate dish I ordered ruined the dish. My better instincts told me to leave it and ask for my money back, but because I was hungry I took my order. The Tatziki sauce was terrible and my spanakopita was rubbery and over cooked! The staff ignored my complaint with the exception of removing the spatula from the heating dish as not to continue to ruin the texture of the dough. I had already spent the money and the time, so I took the dish with me, only to be disappointed. It was not fresh and the reheating mishandling made it even worse. I will never dine here again , and most certainly won’t suggest your restaurant as a good Greek eatery.

Being from New York and staying at the Barrymore, we happed across this place. It’s difficult to find a place back home that has real lamb Gyros. They are usually beef and when you find one it’s skimpy. We were very happy to find a perfectly loaded , genuine lamb Gyro at a very reasonable price. Pleasant experience and perfect service. Thanks. I have dined at Hungry Greek many times. I get the salmon meal ever time, and it has been delicious. This evening it was terrible. Salmon was tiny and dry, no flavor. Salad was almost all iceberg lettuce. The rice was not as good as in the past. I hope this is only a one time lousey meal. We dined in on April 30, 2024

Went in today 4/21 and was greeted by a familiar face & voice . Josh is an exceptional worker and it is always a pleasure coming in to get my food . Definitely will recommend coming to this specific location. food is always prepared at the right temp & Taste so amazing.

Drove here (20 minutes) because they claim gluten free service. They do not offer this, or at least the person helping us did not want to. Unfortunately he did not mention they would not clean anything to avoid contamination until after we payed. We asked for a refund which he said he could not do but his manager would the next day and call us.....fast forward 4 days later and still neither happened. We were forced to call our selves and repeat the everything to the manager to get refund which hopefully we get. This sucks, had to go another 20 minutes to another restaurant who did accommodate gluten free and will was excellent. Wanted to try this place but they do not offer the gluten free they used to.

Super clean environment with great tasting food.

The Greek salad was really good with a surprise of potato salad being under the initial lettuce of the salad. The chicken was bland and tasted like straight char.

Came here during the green river fest, and the men working here were doing amazing. They didnt know where the boss was at all, never came in, it was just the 2 men here and an extremely busy day and they held it together and got all orders out in a timely manner, they both deserve a promotion with a hefty raise!

The food is meh. Don’t pay attention to their hours. They’ll close 30-45 minutes before they’re supposed to. It’s happens multiple times now.

Wasn’t busy on a Saturday night. Guys that work there are cool and over all was a good vibe . Movie was playing and made me wanna stay longer lol. All in all the Gyro was yummy , the lemon chicken soup was good and the hummus with pita was good . Would go back when I’m in the area .

Honestly delicious greek food, the falafel and the pita taste fresh and were served hot. Chicken kebabs were a hit with my parents as well.
