Went in with my sister not to long ago. Owner is friendly and the gelato is fantastic. I will be returning with more friends and more family.

First time went there love the atmosphere the owner super chill and the sweets there are awsome. Have recommend this place to anyone I know in the area.

The fresh baked bread loaves are delicious and make their sandwiches sublime. Service is quick, and it's a perfect, chill little place to grab a bite to eat.

Nice place to visit! The decor was a little retro and artsy, I liked it! The pastries were yummy and everything in the menu looked good. I didn’t get to try the gelato but if it tastes as good as it looked, I’m sure it tastes great! 🤩

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Honestly no complaints. I came with my family just to get gelato and we are OBSESSED. The owner was so nice and started conversation with my crazy family. We enjoyed playing chess together and felt welcomed to stay a while. We got seconds of gelato because it was so good and we plan to come back to have lunch soon. Their macarons have also appeared at family gatherings and are delicious. I would strongly recommend this place for lunch or dessert. Such an amazing hidden gem!

My husband and I just moved to the area and stumbled upon this place while exploring. We came in for the gelato, which is incredible - I got the pistachio and wedding cake, and we are definitely coming back to buy the fresh bread and try the sandwiches! Owner is awesome and friendly. Planning on coming by to get the fresh bread Thursdays/Saturdays instead of all the processed store bought bread.

Just stopped by for some gelato with my pregnant wife and stumbled upon an absolute GEM. The owner Dale is very friendly and welcoming! The inside was clean and decorated with games to play all around. Dale makes everything from scratch which is a relief from all the processed foods mostly available in the US. He makes a variety of fresh non preservative breads and sandwiches so give this place a try!! SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES ❤️

When you walk in, you see it’s a fun and inviting shop! The food was fresh and tasty. Can’t wait to come back and try everything. I met the owner Dale and it’s clear that he has a lot to offer and is creative. God bless you all!

Had a slice of the Pontchatoula Bundt cake with strawberries that was amazing, what a fun place to visit and the gelato and goodies are always worth a drive to Harahan!

Absolutely ❤️ this local small batch bakery! It’s a Saturday night staple for family Game night! The great music and atmosphere make it a great place for a date night or late night snack with the kids! This place is a family favorite where our kids young and older like to hang for fun and sweets! Oh and the bread!!! So fresh and made in house!

Most of these reviews must be faked. The baked goods were stale. The gelato was frost bitten. The owner was pretty curt and rude.

What a GEM! Just happened to pull into the lot this past Friday to check them out, and so glad I did! Tried the Gelato and it was very flavorful and satisfying. Took home a beautiful braided loaf of bread and it was a big hit with our pasta dinner on Sunday. Today I tried the chicken salad sandwich on super freshly baked focaccia bread, and it was just superb. If you love turtle cookies, you'll have to try theirs.

Recently finally pinpointed where this was located.. I had searched high and low for bagels like I discovered in NC.. Got their bagels and it was phenomenal! Immediately went back to get another.. Person behind me bought all that were left... So I count the minutes until I can have another... BTW the Japanese milk bread takes French toast to the highest level of devine. On my list to try it all! Atmosphere warm and positive.. Owner overflowing with charm... My new favorite place.. it's under your nose, don't pass it by...Linda

A group of us swung by after taking our kids to see the Christmas lights in Rivertown, and it was a fantastic experience all around. The gelato was delicious (between me and my kids, I sampled the Coffee, Biscoff, Wedding Cake, and Pistachio), and most importantly, the staff were wonderful. There are lots of board games on site for people to sit and play, and later in the evening once foot traffic died down a bit, one of the workers (who I think might have been the owner?) asked some of the kids if they'd played Battleship before, and then stood there for 10 minutes patiently teaching them how to play. It was a really sweet thing to watch, and myself and the other two moms really appreciated his kindness and patience with a large group of children coming in. Will definitely be back, for both the gelato and atmosphere!

Swung by on a whim and might have found a new favorite go-to place. We had a salami and cream cheese bagel and it was 10/10 - the salami was perfect. Also had some cannolis and I believe and an alfajores that were fantastic. He was super nice and the suggestion for the salami on the bagel was great. Love it here, definitely coming back! Edit - came back again to pick up a chicken salad sandwich on some heavenly focaccia bread to have at home. Girlfriend wasn’t hungry, but as soon as she took one bite to try it, she loved it so much, I put my shoes back on to immediately head back to get a second one. Best chicken salad sandwich I’ve ever had. 10/10 again, everyone needs to come here!!

This New Orleans gelato and bakery restaurant is noted for their cakes, breads, cookies and gelato and their other New Orleans dessert options. New Orleans has a lot of great food and Wandering Goat is one of the newer dessert restaurant options that could be easy to miss if you're not paying attention. The Wandering Goat is located in a small strip mall on Jefferson Highway in Harahan right next to the Happy Italian Pizzeria. They have been making sandwiches, the focaccia bread is to die for. So good. The Muffelata is on the focaccia bread. Amazing. Definitely worth a frive

I found this bakery around a year ago when I started working at a nearby shop and I have to say, I'll be a customer for life, even now that I work across town. I've had most options on the menu and I've yet to try anything I wasn't blown away by. The treats, cookies, bread, gelato, pepper jelly; everything has been amazing. Even my mom (who is on a health craze right now) loves this little bakery. Everything is made in house and there are gluten free options. They also do bagels and sandwiches and now milkshakes! There's always something new to try and the customer service is impeccable. This lovely little harahan spot is well worth going out of my way for every time.

Chicken salad is fresh and light. The chocolate king cake with caramel cheesecake frosting is devine.

I've always said that McKenzies RULES, but after tasting these salted caramel turtles; The Wandering Goat is hands down, the best bakery in NOLA!!!!

Hit the Goat for some after dinner gelato. Hung out with the wife and kids after playing chess and dominos and talking to the owner. Wife and I fought over whether the Bananas Foster or the Butter Pecan was better. They have great cookies and sweets and outstanding bagels. The breads, try the focaccia, are consistently available but there's a never ending rotation of delectable sweet and savory items in the cases. If they have their cream cheese, get a bagel to go with it.

Finally got the chance to stop at The Wandering Goat today. My daughter and I both enjoyed our strawberry lemonades and the bagels were to die for. My daughter loved the artwork and decorations. They couldn't have been nicer or more patient with us two first-timers. Wonderful treats, great atmosphere and genuinely kind owners....It doesn't get better than that.

The Wandering Goat is the cutest little shop! We won a free scoop promo, but naturally had to buy more because it all looked so delicious (which it was--the butter pecan gelato is to die for). The owner is the nicest guy you'll ever meet, and we will for sure be coming back.

The boudin pocket was exceptional! The blue rasberry tea didn't make it home. Even though it was huge! (hot today😥) I wish this thing went up to 10 stars. You would get them. I highly recommend everyone to try this establishment.

Absolutely amazing. The owner is so precious and provided us with amazing recommendations. The caramel gelato was absolutely the best. We purchased several of the pastries and no disappointment. Can’t say enough positive things about this place.

Seriously the most amazing establishment I've ever been to! I was in the parade today and they absolutely rescued me! Took care of me and gave me an ice cold water. I was overheated and on the verge of fainting. Seriously 10 stars!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!! I'll be back for sure!

My cousin tipped me off to this place in Harahan. The sandwiches, note: Weds only, are phenomenal and are served on their homemade bread and bagels. BAGELS!! There is always a sweet cookie display as well. Tried the gingersnap sandwich cookies(with marshmallow buttercream filling)--the best soft gingersnap I have ever had. They also have an interesting creation--the 'hot chocolate bomb'. You take this chocolate and sprinkles covered orb, put it your mug, and cover it with hot milk. It magically morphs into hot cocoa!

The Wandering Goat offers delicious items made from scratch. Their weekly sandwich specials, the unique turtles and the grazing goat boxes (charcuterie) are a few of my favorites. The owners are very friendly and welcoming.

Quirky little atmosphere with ever changing flavors on everything from macarons to gelato and bagels to sliced breads and so much more! You just don’t know what surprises are in store til you get there! Great stuff going on. Local business definitely worth supporting and keeping around!

Lovely local, family run bakery! Their everything bagels, onion bread, hand dipped tempered chocolate marshmallows, and soft cakes, are yum yum! Freshy baked that morning for the freshest bread & cakes in town. They take orders too, if you're looking for something special or want them to put some bagels aside just for you, just call them up & they're always super helpful. Love the Goat!!!

Fabulous Bread, incredibly delicious sweets... my favorite are the turtles with the salted caramel!! Guaranteed you have never tasted anything so delicious!! The owners are kind, hardworking and talented! So Happy for the new addition to Harahan stores!! We are so lucky to have so many small businesses in Harahan and River Ridge!! Insanely good. Pickle bread, chantilly cakes, earl grey macarons... All of it delicious...

Got a cannoli, macaroon, cheesecake stuffed chocolate chip cookie, and turtle. Met the owner and chatted about the food, her family, and her goats. This locally owned bakery has great food and even better owners. It’s a must try.

Honestly just really good. Slightly pricier, but the quality more than makes up for it. The bread/pastries are absolutely phenomenal, and I have yet to eat something there that wasn't great.

You have to treat yourself to this place! The Rosemary Amish bread is my favorite! They have started doing sandwiches for lunch on Wednesday. I just had a Romanian sandwich that was Amazing!!! You will find things here that you can't get anywhere else.
