We had visited here twice in the past years based on the good reviews but food/service was just okay. Very dry and salty fries/rings/tots. Thicker but not great patties for burgers.

First time here and it's mainly a drive thru. There is a small space inside to order but no seating inside. Ordered one cheese burger and one burger. The meat tasted fresh but very plain. Not bad for the price. 11/18/23 still good.

The end of the REAL brown bag special? Price has gone up and the patty is now some thin pre-made frozen patty. What made them so great was their fresh meat made to order. We also got an order of cheese curds, spent $4 on them and got MAYBE 15 curds. Not worth it! I used to love this place but sadly, all good things must come to an end.

I do love a tops burger. Prices are very fair. Be prepared to wait a few minutes because they are cooking your food fresh. Simmer down and wait for an amazing burger.

Tops never disappoints! Ignore that Jessie Yawn clowns review. Sometimes it can get a little backed up, but they always get my order right. It also means that they’re doing something right. They’re also local and they blow Whataburger away with the quality and value of their food. I wish they had more locations.

The service here really sucks!! While the burgers may be okay but to wait in line 25 minutes for 4 cars is unacceptable. I saw several cars turn around and go elsewhere while I was waiting. Plus my fries were cold. Won't be back soon!!

Look! Best burger in the land...just my opinion. The staff work very hard and have always been very friendly! Oh the Patty Melt is not on the list to choose from...highly recommend!

Not sure what's going on recently at tops but after waiting I'm the drive thru and at the window for almost 10 minutes and never had anyone talk to me or even come to the window. Terrible customer service. The people out front looking strung out on drugs didn't help either. After years of going here I will not be back

Home of the greasy sack . Tops has been a local spot for a fast cheap burger since the day they opened . Did I mention awesome ? These burgers are great and half the cost of your known chain names. There are 2 small tables inside if you prefer not eating in the car or taking it to go.

I would not serve this to ahomeless man not to mention you guys dou le dip your fries and tots and that's a health code violation won't be back and would not recommend

Listen Linda. This is the BEST burger place I have eaten at. Today me and my sister went there and found out they had patty melts, cheese curds, and fried pickles which we ordered. We had to park to experience the heavenly delight that it was. After we went back to tip the and tell them how amazing the food was. Words haven’t been invented yet to describe how the harmonious symphony of flavors we ate. This is where you take a vegetarian to change their mind. This place can end racism and all conflicts of the world. We also met the owner he was chill and you can tell he took pride in his work and It shows. We are coming every week now from Shalimar to experience this magical place again forget Disney. If Keith Lee came and said anything about this place that was bad I would go 10 rounds in a UFC fight with him to make him apologize. Keep up the good work. 100/10.

This has always been my favorite burger joint but this time the burger was different .. it needed salt so bad … it might be a good thing to have less salt but dam it changed the whole burger.. everything else was so good and I will definitely try them again soon I hope they deliver…. I won’t be going anywhere for a year 😒😏😒😏…

As a seasoned citizen I have eaten so many hamburgers in my life, but I honestly don't think you can find a better tasting hamburger value than Topps. I live in Central Florida, but I've eaten lunch there multiple times in the past month and every time the hamburger is perfectly cooked and properly seasoned. The flavor is way better than chain burger joints. Selfishly I'm glad the the drive thru line moves so quickly and never seems long. If they get discovered as a reasonably priced delicious lunch option the time to enjoy lunch will be unfortunately be shorter. They're so good that I wish I had 6 stomaches like a cow so I could eat more of their burgers.

Hamburgers and fries are very good. Sweet tea is very good too. Waiting is alittle long but it's worth to wait for good fast food. French fries are like home made fries. Like small potatoes logs. Plenty parking but mostly drive thru. Enjoy.

Really liked this place and the staff was very nice. My husband got a cheeseburger which he said was great and we both got Chicago dogs. Growing up in Chicago, I'm always excited to see them on a menu and it's a must try. It was good, but my only complaint would be the relish. It's too much vinegar making it taste sour. Typically a Chicago dog has sweet neon relish which balances out with the pickled taste from the pickle spear. If you changed up to sweet relish, it would be a completely different dog in a great way. Throw it on a poppy seed bun and you'd have the best Chicago dog in Florida. Cheese fries and onion rings were great also. Will definitely be back though, but ill probably try other items from the menu.

Great little burger spot. That old grill grease taste that you can only find at a diner that has been around for years. I will have to try it again but it kinda tastes like a frozen hamburger patty vs a fresh ball of hamburger.

Price wise, they are ok, but other than that there are issues. The Drive Thru box is broken and you have to order at the window. I waited 30+ minutes for service. Their proportions are huge. Their “Small” fries were like a large. They take a small paper brown bag and fill it full of fries. The fries were fried in old oil; they were dark in color and tasted like old grease. The burgers were ok, only that I asked for no Mayo and no Pickles, but they got the no pickles right, but still put Mayo on it. Also, the lady at the drive thru had to question us multiple times to get our orders despite talking clear as day to her. She couldn’t understand a simple order of Double Bacon Cheeseburger w/ small fries and Coke and a Cheeseburger with w/small fries and Coke. They used to be so much better, but they have definitely gone downhill. Not sure if I’ll be back anytime soon.

It's probably one of the best burgers in town. Nothing flashy, just a good American hamburger! The place looks old, the drive-thru is out of date, but the food is good! Try the onion rings!

Ordered 2 double bacon cheeseburgers with not tomato lite mayo and lite lettuce 1 hamburger 1 small fry and 1 mushroom Get home and check the bag and was missing the hamburger and the double bacon had everything on w/o my customization and the mushrooms were cold

Tops is a local favorite. They have your basic juicy burger. If you like a typical greasy spoon, it's a great choice. If you want fancy, don't go out for burgers. ;) If you aren't a local, I would compare it to Sonic. The staff is always very nice.

Nothing bad about the place it was just ok nothing special. I had the pulled pork sandwich wasn't bad just ok. If I went back it would be to try a hot dog

The best burger and i Sanford Jones put that on everything i had a burger at the Destin Commons and it didn't come even close to what Top's had to offer so the next day i had to get rite by stopping by Top's score and i even made a dance for that awesome burger scent by God 🤤🤩😍👏👏👏 you better try it !!!!

Burgers are great! Chilli cheese fries were a bit different thanwhat i expected. Not bad and huge serving size. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger, Chilli cheese fries, bacon double cheeseburger with onion rings and fried mushrooms. Total cost, $23! Great price!

What happened to this place, it use be my family favorite, we were the first in line, figure we get hot and fresh, nope, cold fries, cold tots, and cold burgers. Where's the love that this place which use make the best burgers in town. We given this place several chances, every time it's a let down.

I eat here regularly and typically have no complaints , but lately there seems to be an issue with getting fresh food. After having to wait 10 minutes are car in front of me and I get my food the hamburger is fairly fresh but the fries were made yesterday and not even kept under a warmer. If it doesn’t improve will mark them off my very small list of local eateries to visit.

They do a great job! Sometimes my company orders lunch for around 10 people and some of the orders are complicated. They honor my request to bag everything separate and put prices on the bags so it's easy to figure out everyone's lunch and how much they owe when I get back. Tops is one of very few restaurants we order from that get everything right and don't get flustered by the special requests.

Tops is a staple in the Western panhandle for THE BEST BURGER you can find!!! We don't live close anymore but will still make a point to visit whenever possible... We came last weekend to the Niceville store and had a phenomenal meal as always... Service was great and the food never dissapoints. Even has new menu items(which we got an order of each one) Fried mushrooms, and fried pickle spears, You read that right, FRIED PICKLE SPEARS!!! Also got onion rings and each comes with a homemade dipping sauce that's delicious. If you happen to be in the Niceville/Ft Walton area, stop by TOPS burgers and see what I mean!!! You can thank me later!!

So I have to say Tops is my all time favorite burger place. Their burgers are heavenly, so good it makes you wanna slap someone. Lol service is always on it. And the PRICE for a great burger is out of this world. Definitely recommend.

Used to LOVE this place. Burgers were yummie....at one time. I've noticed that it has been slowly going downhill. Today they hit rock bottom. Take a look at that picture. This is the outer, main bag that our food was handed to us in. My tater tots were in another inner bag that was pouring grease out. It got all over our vehicle. Gross. It was so bad that my air fryer could not rescue them. Both burgers were cold and hubbies fries were cold and floppy. I really tried to rescue the tots but even cooking them nearly 15 minutes in the air fryer only yielded a huge pan of nasty oil and rancid tasting soggy tots. Omg, never have I thrown out tater tots....until today. Nope. Never again. Maybe Fat Boys will run them out.

***Never again*** This place has gone down hill faster than a ton of bricks falling off a cliff. We went through the drive-thru for lunch and waited 30 minutes, received 2 cold cheeseburgers, fries, tater tots so greasy a tractor trailer full of oil filters wouldn't have filtered out all the grease. It was horrible, nasty tasting grease on top of it all. Looking forward to Fat Boys burgers coming to Niceville soon by Publix. These people don't care They just feed you old sloppy, nasty tasting food that's not worth a penny. If you care about your health then you won't eat at this place. Waste of my time and money. What a shame. Used to love this place.

Well cooked burger 🍔 at an affordable cost

they have the best burgers in Niceville, They have flavor and you're left saying where's the beef!!! "People younger than 50, Google where's the beef commercial" I am not a dry guy either but I actually like their fries, they salt them and I even prefer them without ketchup. You might a few minutes but to me its still better than the mainstream burger joints.

WE LOVE TOPS! Give or take a little over a month ago the intercom was down and we had to wait almost an hour for our food the Long line & everything but it was well worth the wait and I'd do it again!! Tonight we come back and once again food was amazing does it suck that we have to drive a long ride to be able to get the food yes!! So tonight we asked them why don't they open a store up in Crestview the man told us that they are really considering it we think that y'all should we would definitely love to see one and Crestview also one back in Pensacola

Foods always good, but they way they handle their broken intercom is sad. It only mentions it’s broken when you’re at the menu, and by then you’re STUCK. Let us know before then so we can decide to leave. Take orders and run them inside so all we gotta do is pay at the window. Literally anything is better then what they are doing about it now.

French fries were hot but they were not fresh. Maybe because the intercom wasn't working and we had to order at the window that they had to cook them and reheat them. Usually, everything is excellent. This was probably an isolated experience

Talk about a great hamburger 🍔 Wow. You just can't find a better tasting burger at a great price. It's kinda an old fashion Burger and fry place. They use shredded lettuce on the burgers that gives a unique taste of their own. You can have them customized. Potato Tots are fresh everytime. Small place with a big taste! They have more than one location. I know they have one in Niceville and one in Fort Walton Beach. Small sitting area out front. Worth trying! They offer walk in or drive thru. The drive thru is always fast. Very friendly staff. I think you will find a new little burger that you will always want to try when you come through town. Been in business for years.
