The Tropical Palm is a great place to eat at I really enjoy their Blueberry Stuffed French Toast, I ask for the juice on the side then you don't need syrup.

Had family breakfast today and all of us left happy. Kids loved their food. Service was 10/10 great people work there. Highly recommend.

Bad experience. I order salad with chicken and I ask the lady don’t add Bacon to it. But she served it with Bacon. When I ask for change , they just remove the Bacon incompletely. It will be last visit.

I can't honestly rate the food here. We went a few years ago and waited close to 30 minutes without any service. We tried again today. We were told to seat ourselves and sat at the table for 15 minutes with no menu or server. We won't be back.

I’ve been enjoying 45 years of great food at this place! Today as I visited, I reminisced about how long it’s been open and it’s really a dive restaurant! If you want true local, this is it! I love to see how busy this place has become again and it truly should be one of those places visit when they pass through!

It seemed we didn't want to be waited on. We asked for a moment after ordering our drinks, coffee and a cola. At least 18 minutes went by until we finally got up and asked the girl at the counter to take our order. We politely looked in that direction and tried to make eye contact with anyway waitress for some time until finally getting up to ask for service politely. Our order was finally taken by a different waitress who was asked by the first waitress who took our drink order. It was when our order was taken I asked for creamer for my coffee. After some time passed we received our food but we did not have silverware, napkins, butter, syrup and I still did not have any coffee creamer. We had to ask for those. Our waitress came back a few minutes later and brought some of those items. I never got any coffee creamer. The food honestly was not that great but acceptable. The pancakes were thick and tasted great and probably the best thing we got, but they were cool when we got them. The loaded omelette did have a lot of filling but it was strange as if the filling had been cooked previously and separately and just stuck off to the side cold and waiting to be placed into the middle of a crepe like piece of egg then folded up, pretending to be an omelette. I don't know if it was a bad day there or not maybe just the waitresses were having a bad day but I likely won't be back again.

Oh, my goodness! I've never had stuffed French toast before, but if this is what it tastes like, the bar is set pretty high! Great service, wonderful people, friendly atmosphere. We'll be back!

We've lived in crestview for over 2 years now, however we don't get out often for breakfast at all. This morning was the very rare occasion that my husband and I were both off on the same day and we wanted to get breakfast. We don't love waffle house at all so a quick google search showed me Tropical Palms and a really good review rating so we came over. They did not disappoint! We both ordered omlette meals and were both very pleased with the whole meal. We've found our new favorite breakfast spot for our date mornings!

ATTENTION!! IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE! My family and I came here (bypassing Cracker Barrel) thinking we would enjoy some good home cook breakfast and it was the exact opposite!! We were ignored for the majority of the time we were there, a couple came in after us (approximately 20 minutes later) and we had still not received our drinks! This couple had their order taken and was done eating before we ever had our food brought to us! The waitress came to us and got our drink and food orders. We never heard from her again! The other waitress was standing at the next table and could see me getting visibly agitated and stated to me “she’s coming” at this point I’d made the decision to leave and just pay for our drinks. When I was at the register, our food was being brought from the back and not by the waitress that took our orders! I went ahead and sat back down with my family to eat and the food was HORRIBLE! The pancakes were doughy, sausage was rock hard, and the grits were lumpy and lukewarm. We ate what we could simply because we did not have the time to stop elsewhere before heading to Tampa! I got to the register to make my complaint because we were completely ignored by the waitress! When I got to the register, I was met by the ghost waitress which told me she didn’t have my order in the computer and it would be a while so I patiently waited to pay for my order. At this time the lady at the register tells me the order is $65 before I could speak! I then asked her how did this get so expensive and we were waiting for a waitress to come to us so we could tell them how bad the food was but no one came. The lady snatch a menu from the table and resumes to read me the prices as if I hadn’t already saw this same menu! She attempted to double charge me for things and was extremely rude about it! I paid the damn bill and left but trust me I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!

Simple and great. You better get here before 10:30. One of our favorite places. We love this place. Our favorite pass time is to watching people get turned away after 11:00 a.m. -come early. Best tradition southern breakfast within miles. Absolutely FAB. We drive 40 mon to get here and it's worthy it.

**update** Still good every Thursday morning. Sandy and the rest of the staff are friendly and the food is always good. ***update*** I have been eating here every Thursday morning for about two years. The food is still good and the staff is friendly, what more could you want. I will update the n a couple years. I had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast. Everything tasted good and the service was great. Planning on going back this week.

The food was decent. The orange juice is good. The sausage had a weird burnt and cooked texture at the end of it, but they do use real butter there, and powdered sugar for the French toast. The only issue is, the food for four people was a little bit expensive for breakfast. But, trying to find a breakfast place open, that wasn’t fast food, on a Sunday morning, is not always easy in a small town. So, my family made it work the best way we could. Thank you for feeding my family breakfast. And, the business has a unique vintage style. I think that it’s pretty neat.

Place had quite a few patrons and full tables when we arrived. No one was talking and my husband and I had to whisper to each other because it was so quiet inside the restaurant. Very depressing and creepy. It was actually quite uncomfortable to be in there. The food was awful. I ordered double hash browns as they are my favorite. They were so bad I couldn’t eat more than a few bites. Coffee was very flat and bitter. Bacon did not taste like bacon. Eggs tasted sour. The best thing on the plate was the cheap white bread. Our server was very very sad. I asked the manager who was kind enough to take $12 off of our bill if she was always that sad and she said no and started to tell me the servers’ personal business as to why she’s so down. I stopped her and said I didn’t want to know but I hope her day gets better. The review is based solely on the food and atmosphere but her demeanor was heartbreaking and just put an extra weight top of the bad experience. I won’t give the place another chance.

This is a perfect example of those "hole in the wall" restaurants we need to keep around! The food was absolutely fabulous! Come hungry though because the portions are quite hefty. I had the Western Omelet with grits and a biscuit and I couldn't finish everything. The food is amazing and the atmosphere gives off that restaurant where only the locals know about. Local business is where it's at! ❤️

Certainly will go back. First visit and was not very observant. Too hungry and excited about the food to think about a survey popping up later. I am hoping this is the right place since my Son took us to several new restaurants while he was in town. If not, sorry and I will have to redo!!! It was the wrong restaurant!!! The name was the Smokehouse BBQ in Crestview. Apologize for that!!!

Their menu is good. Prices are very good. Wonderful service and I will go back.

They were short handed and closing early, at 10 am, we arrived at 9:30. Server was somewhat friendly. Hashbrowns were a little undercooked otherwise food was good. Never saw our server once food was delivered, so no more than our first cup. There weren't that many people there that would have kept her from at least asking. Probably won't come back.

Be patient when coming, they are low staffed. But definitely worth the wait. Best French toast we’ve ever had. Delicious omelet that was “for the people”.

Some people have been coming here for years to eat every day, while others are just now giving it a try. They come here to meet friends, sit down and chat, and enjoy one other. You genuinely feel at home. Additionally, everything they sell is excellent and within your price range.

If you love in the Crestview area this is a staple for breakfast. They've been around since the horseback days. It seems that way if you ask the locals. I ordered the pancake meal with the special hashbrowns. I definitely wasn't disappointed. So if you're in need of some old fashioned dining. Stop in and give them a try. There's no frills on the decor or the service. Yet the food is spot on. Enjoy your visit !!!

Our waitress never came back to check if we needed anything else or to refill our coffee. The first food that I ordered was good and the biscuits and gravy from that order were good. I ordered a second order of biscuits and gravy the biscuits were overcooked and hard they cost $6 and I couldn't eat them

Food was brought out quickly. Very homey feeling. Loved it. Food was very good. I had the 2 egg plate. Comes with 2 eggs hash brown or grits and toast or biscuits. I added a fried pork chop. Very well seasoned!! One of the first things I look for is well seasoned proteins. My wife had the French toast. She ordered blueberry French. She loved it. Made homemade. You can actually taste the egg in it and it was moist. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for breakfast after reading positive reviews online. I must say it was excellent as was the service. I had the Western Omelet with hash-browns and toast and it was probably the best omelet I’ve had out. My husband said the same! The blueberry pancakes were as big as a dinner plate and were fabulous as was the coffee. We’ll plan to stop again when in the area, hopefully soon!

Rude waitress, french toast was soaked in cinnamon to the point I couldn't eat it.. when asked why I couldn't eat it..I asked the server to look at it, and she admitted that the top fell off , so she already knew and the bill was 12.00 for 2 pieces of Texas toast cut in half and 2 small pieces of link sausage.. could of went to waffle house and ordered there all star and got more food for that..I've been going for years at t.p..butt after this, I won't be back for awhile.. over priced food and rude service.

A decades long local restaurant serving southern diner food. The food takes a long time to come out and isn't quality. The serving staff is friendly, but need training and leadership. I've given this restaurant at least 5 chances to do breakfast right. 1 of times is good.

Absolutely delicious breakfast southern style in downtown Crestview. Best sausage gravy I ever had. They also make a tomato gravy that's perfect for their massive omelets. We're making this our new breakfast "go to" place. Posting a pic of my "Everything But the Kitchen Sink" omlet.

Driving back to Kentucky after a week in Fort Walton Beach, I did a google search for breakfast restaurants on our way to I-65..This place is a definite gem. Wonderful southern cooking. Everything was delicious. My wife really enjoyed her soft scrambled eggs with a side of ham. My french toast with melted butter and powered sugar was divine. Also had two eggs sunny side up, bacon and an order of grits. All were very tasty. Highly recommend for breakfast if you're just passing thru.

First time visiting this restaurant in Crestview, FL. The food was fantastic and service was great. I ordered the "Everything but the Kitchen Sink " omelette and like the name would apply, it was huge. The hash browns were perfect as I upgraded them to their Billy style. I see this becoming a regular destination

Step away from the chain restaurants and visit this family owned dinner. A patriotic, quaint little spot that appears to be a local favorite. Every breakfast item we had was a win. We will stop here any time we are in Crestview for breakfast. All selections are reasonably priced.

Great service, out of this world food! The restaurant is always neat and tidy. The bathroom is clean and well stocked. The staff is friendly and there is a great family atmosphere! If you want a slice of " Old time Crestview" served with your meal and a great big smile head to "The Palm!"

Love there food here and a lot of other people most think the same thing because this restaurant has been around for years and I don't think it's going to be going anywhere anytime soon. People come here and meet friends and sit down and talk and enjoy each other, some have been coming here for years everyday to eat and others are just now trying it for the first time. It feels like your at home. And everything the have Is so good and it is in your price range.

Pretty good. I love their breakfast. It's waffle house hashbrowns without the horrible atmosphere, all I could ask. Lunch, is okay. Haven't found my stride there yet, and sometimes I feel I paid for more than I got (fried shrimp, example). Some servers aren't very chipper or attentive but I've never had anyone do anything blatantly wrong.
