Starting off at the entrance with a warm welcome is always a great experience. This was our first visit. Our waitress Colleen was exceptionally friendly and sweet. Orders came out fast and oh boy was it delicious. Definitely returning.

Breakfast anytime. Known for their biscuits. Good menu, food is overall pretty good.

I expect more from my chicken fried steak with taste, it was just not there

Everyone said it was great It was just mediocre My wife ordered a fried green tomato the oil tasted rancid she ate it I ordered tripping grits nothing to ride home about actually I took most of it home maybe my dog will eat it probably won't come back. The funny part is most people are taking home leftovers! If so good why is food left over?

A hugh step up from your run-of-the-mill biscuits and gravy breakfast! Fantastic menu choices for breakfast. I just had their specialty: "Slap yo Mama" biscuits. Wow. A very spacious, outdoor, covered, dog friendly dining area. Supurb service from friendly staff.

This place is a gem. The eggs Benedict is so much better there as they serve it on their delicious home made biscuits! Everyone is so friendly and helpful there as well. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back!

I have been here a few times. I have heard people say it's to pricey .... nope it is not. They have a large selection of just good food. I haven't had the entire menu, but I have seen what comes out of the kitchen and it all looks good. The smell in the diner alone increases the hunger. I have never left hungry. The service is great. The staff is polite and attentive. They average plate is 12 to 20 bucks. It's worth it, even in these times of massive inflation. I rarely give 5 stars this rates at a 4.9 stars. Everyone has room for improvement. I rate places like this off of the Grits. Their Grits are just like ya Grammy made when I was a child 50+ years ago. The only draw back is getting a seat quickly especially on the weekends. You should try this place if you have not. It is central to Clermont, Astatula, Howey In the Hills, Tavares and Leesburg.

This place was wonderful. Amazing food at a good price. Place is definitely popular, we didn't wait long for a table maybe 2minutes on a Saturday morning around 10am. Place was clean an service was fast and friendly. Even met the owner Don who was at the corner of the bar watching over his labor of love. Definitely showed he cares about his restaurant. Hands down a wonderful place to bring the family for breakfast highly recommend 👌 👍

Finally, a restaurant I can look forward to going back to. The food is amazing, and the service is top shelf (thanks Amanda). The kitchen is open to view and its crew is in perfect harmony. Smiles all around. I had the Harley Biscuit and my wife had the banana pecan pancakes, both were excellent but I had a hard time choosing, everything just looks so good.

This may be my favorite breakfast restaurant in all of Central Florida. Small town diner vibe. Plenty of seating, including a bar top and outdoor seating. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The menu has plenty of options and some really unique items. I had the Floirda Cracker Benedict, which was a two grit cakes topped with fried green tomatoes, poached egg, and white gravy. It was absolutely delicious 10 out of 10. It even came with a side of the best bacon I've had at any diner and a really amazing jalapeño corn biscuit. No doubt that this place knows how to make biscuits. My wife had the Texas hash with a pimento cheese biscuit that was out of this world delicious. The portions were big and priced fair. They even had some great options for the kids. If you could give 6 stars, this diner would get it. If I'm ever in the area, I'll be stopping in again. 100% worth the drive.

Best breakfast place I have been in central Florida just eat there yesterday me and my wife I had the country fried steak with hashbrowns scrambled eggs with cheese and sourdough toast. It was so good. The fry steak was super hot. Had a lot of flavor. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hashbrowns were great. My wife had the chicken with bacon cheese biscuits and honey. I think it was a spicy chicken. She said it was really good also Service was quick our server was very attentive

Everything about our experience was amazing. From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere. We went for brunch. We were surprised at how fast we got our food. During peak hours we got all of our food in about 10 min and everything was fresh and delicious.

Had a large to go order and Brandi and the team knocked it out SO fast and so politely! It’s always a pleasure to eat here

My family ate here while visiting my in-laws in Tavares. I’m from South Carolina, and I was happy to see some traditional southern food on the menu. The grits reminded me of my grandmother’s, who has been gone 20 years, and I’ve not had any like hers since then until today. The portions are huge, so like my grandma used to say, if you leave hungry it’s your own fault! The staff is really friendly and personable. We had the pleasure of speaking to the owner who was so welcoming, and shared with us the story of this place. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Will definitely be back when we visit my in-laws again!

I love the idea of this place. Menu sounds delicious. Food itself is just ok. I had the Bayou Benedict. The sauce was very bland and there were canned mushrooms in it, which I had to pick out. I am fine with canned mushrooms in a steak or pizza. They just didn't fit the dish. The bacon cheddar biscuits at the base were very good. I'd love to try more of the biscuits some time. Staff were all fantastic.

4 of us ate there and all loved it. I have never seen a restaurant put so much emphasis on keeping the place clean. Definitely will be back.

Very generous with the portions of food, Their fresh squeeze orange juice is unbelievably delicious . Everything on the menu is delicious.. I highly recommend this place for breakfast.

One of the best biscuit and gravy dishes we ever had. The Slap Yo Momma, tomato, bacon gravy was excellent. The Red Eye gravy was good, a little heavy on the coffee. Great service and this place was busy.

Hey, the atmosphere is fine. It's a diner. The shrimp tacos are wonderful. The service is always really good. The breakfast dishes are more than enough food. We'll go back, as we do every few weeks.

3.24.24 Another amazing experience, the Jambalaya Hash would have been on Anthony Bordaine’s Top 3 list! Biscuits Biscuits Biscuits!!! A very busy day, Sunnyland Boat Festival weekend, and the greeting, hostess, and server were on game. They were upfront about a wait however, we were seated within 15 minutes and received our order in perfect time. They were offering 1/2 off Memosa's and Bloody Mary's. Mr. Wilson was very attentive and kept things moving, especially with the wait list. Our meals were delicious, especially my 'Harley Biscuit'. Wow! There was not a bit of food left on the 'Crab Benedict's' plate! Kudos

THE best place for breakfast! One of my only critiques is that there aren't more locations so I can visit them anywhere. Very cute, diner atmosphere but with high quality food and kind service. I did the Florida cracker Benedict with a jalapeno cheddar biscuit which was filling and absolutely delicious. Very fresh and creative dish that is good to the last bite. Biscuit was a bit dry but it had a nice kick to it. Also tried a bit of someone's fish Reuben which was SPECTACULAR! So juicy and fresh. Reason enough to come back several times. The fish po boy was very tasty as well. On second trip, got potato pancakes and chocolate chip pancakes. Chocolate chip were delicious. Perfect for a sweet tooth and enough for a meal & a half. The potato pancakes were a bit dry and bland. It would be nice if they were a bit crispier as well. But overall, everything about this restaurant is a win! Hopefully they have a second (and third, and fourth...) location soon.

My wife and I had breakfast there yesterday and she’s still talking about the jalapeño biscuits. We enjoy sitting at the counter and watching the show. If you haven’t been it’s a must. Food, service and price are top notch.

The Twisted Biscuit is a "happenin' place." Seemed pretty busy, but we were able to get a table without waiting. I was advised this was fairly unusual for late Saturday morning. Our waitress was very good and the meal options were impressive. Hard choices, and neither my wife nor I ordered what we initially thought we would. My wife got the "Slap Your Mama Biscuit with Gravy," and I enjoyed the Briscut Hash with biscuit. Both entrees were very tasty with generous portions. We will definitely be back to try other menu options.

Place was packed! Ryan and the other owner (don't know his name) were very engaged in making their business successful, working with their staff and accommodating the large volume of customers. The menu is great and the food was excellent! Highly recommend!

My son and I stopped for breakfast...first time ever going there, will not be our last. Everything was great - our waitress was very kind, friendly and warm. You can't find that in a lot of restaurants these days. Food was great price right.

I've been here twice, and both times, it seemed that the food was prepared in advance, the food was cold, and hashbrowns tasted very greasy. We had a party of four, and all of us agreed about the food. The service was excellent.

Son of a Biscuit is one of my favorite dishes. A little sweet, little spicy and a little savory all in one. Service is always good.

Drove 30 minutes to see what all the hype was about......they did not disapoint!!! SUPER busy when we got there but we sat quickly. Server was great, pleasant and friendly. I had the Hash which was cooked perfectly. Love that everything is made in house. Biscuits were awesome. Also had the chicken fried steak which was the best I have had in a long while. No frozen puck fritter here like you get EVERYWHERE else. I mean honestly, if your a southern style dinner and you aren't making it from scratch, what are you actually doing!?!? Can't wait to go back!!!!! I'm a new regular!!

Our First meal of the day Brunch: Steak and Eggs Hashbrowns with Bacon Cheddar Biscuit made us sick for the rest of the day. Diarrhea 😩 We have never been so sick from a Brunch. Staff very friendly and attentive.

My husband and I were in the mood for brunch this past Sunday and decided to give the Twisted Biscuit a try. It was close to noon and the place was packed. People stood or sat at tables outside and we were sure we would not get a table inside. I checked in with the hostess who told me that the wait was 20 minutes. We decided to stay. I mean, that many people can't get it wrong. We found two open seats at the bar (I had to go to work later & we didn't want to rush). So we took those two seats and ordered mimosas. I got the apple cider and my husband got the traditional orange juice, and coffee while we looked over the menu. I ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict with a garlic biscuit and my husband got the country breakfast. Everything was delicious! The hollandaise sauce was creamy and smooth, the crab cakes were delicious, lump crab and had the perfect amount of breading and the biscuits were fluffy and held up well. The cheese grits my husband got were gritty in a good way, the bacon was crisped to perfection and although the scrambled eggs were a little dry for his personal taste, I thought they were done perfectly. I'm sure one could ask for them to be cooked a little wet and he would have loved them. He got the bacon cheddar biscuits which were just the right ratio of bacon and cheese to moist fluffy biscuit. We will definitely be back! I would love to try other biscuit breakfasts but now that I've had such a great first experience with the crab cakes, I'm not sure the rest will measure up! Five stars for sure!!!

First time visiting yesterday - my daughter was planning on coming with me , but recently got back from an overseas trip and was feeling very jet lagged . I went ahead and decided to go by myself and get her some takeout. The service was fantastic!! I wish I had gotten the girls names that took care of me , but service was on point. I am new to the area and this is the first time I have ventured out for breakfast. I got the tornado scrambler and the flavored mimosas . Everything was so good! I plan on bringing my husband back next weekend!

Went this morning and got right in as we sat at the counter. I have to say, this is THE BEST BREAKFAST I'VE EVER HAD. I had the crab Benedict biscuit and my boyfriend had a combo of smoked salmon benedict biscuit and beef brisket benedict. Omg it was freaking amazing. Soooo much crab. The service was spectacular. Since we were at the counter we could witness the employees like a fine tuned orchestra. Such a wonderful team atmosphere. The owner introduced himself and you can tell he's very proud of what he's accomplished in his "retirement ". We were already planning what we will have next time we visit, which will be soon.
