Love most everything on the menu

Every time I go there, I always get quick fast service and everything is always hot. Not warm, it's Hot 🔥

I went here for breakfast around 730 am with 3 others. Atmosphere is amazing, they had acoustic live music early in the morning, they gave my son a free donut on the way out. Service was mostly good, they were extremely busy that morning so no complaints there. However, the food was un appealing. It did not look good, it tasted okay at best and 2 of us had stomach issues after. The food was really greasy and they definitely try too hard to make simple dishes fancy. I might be willing to try again in the future but I would not recommend this place.

Amazing food, kind and warm staff! Prices are very fair, kids menu has great options and very fairly priced. Absolutely loved it! Will 100% be back and recommend!

One of my favorite breakfast locations in the area. And it's no surprise it's always busy. Some of the best service, atmosphere and food. Portion sizes are fantastic, too. We've typically gone for breakfast and they have live music, which is such a nice touch. Highly recommend checking this place out and their hash is the best I've ever had. A favorite of ours since moving to the area several years ago.

Recently visited. Updated Old style diner decor. Coffee was very good. We ordered poached eggs over "their" homemade hash. It was excellent. ( better than some other places) Generous portions. I dont nornally rate homefries,but they are very good.* Not over cooked* the itailian sausage was excellent. Highly recommend.

This place is makes me so happy. The food is excellent. Uncle D, and his staff, are what truly make this place an amazing and classic diner. The people that are attracted here make the atmosphere light. Please, get a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on a croissant with avocado, it’s killer.

2018- Totally unexpected. Great food, fresh fruit, and an offer of donuts for the kids. We just stopped while traveling and were pleasantly surprised. 2019- Again traveling, we took the time (2 min off highway) to stop both northbound and southbound a week later for a great meal. I really can’t stress enough how much I like Uncle D’s. As others have said, it’s the whole package, great food, reasonable prices, and staff who really care. From the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave, everyone is pleasant, and takes the time to care. The service stands above even some of the finest restaurants I’ve been to. Add that to a clean facility that’s conveniently located and you’ve got a spot we’ll be visiting for years to come. 2024- We’ve now been coming here for years. While we don’t live close, Uncle D’s is our go to place anytime we’re near Hartford. They consistently provide great food & fantastic service in a fun atmosphere. I even appreciate that they’re taking a week off in early July. Giving your whole staff off to recharge is huge, especially in a small business. Uncle D’s for the win!!!

Classic well done diner food. Stopped here for breakfast and even though it was very busy the service was fast and the food was delicious. Really enjoyed the homemade hash.

The place to be..lively, generous, great food!

Tried for the first time i have tried a couple local spots in berlin but this was by far the best of them got the chili cheese dog wicked good homemade chili delicious (yes i know no beans on a chili dog but so good didnt matter to me) uncle D's wings a little sweet and just the right heat and homemade hash my only regret not getting two poached eggs on top. And were else do you get live music during breakfast. Thank you guys will definetly be back to try more.

Stopped here on our way from NYC to Boston and it was a great American diner experience. Busy and buzzy, great friendly service, good diner food, loved it.

I took my son here for a bday breakfast celebration and the owner was so friendly he even had the kitchen make a pancake stake for a cake with candle and everything. It made him feel special and it was a nice experience. The food was fresh and served quickly. The inside is cool and the parking is minimal but not too bad.

The food was hot and filling. The service was great.

First time eating here and it was very pleasant.

Omg absolutely amazing diner!! I wish I had taken a picture of this amazing mickey mouse pancake they made for my toddler. And everyone was so friendly and nice and absolutely was loving my little ham of a daughter. I will absolutely have to go again and bring my older daughter on a day she's not at school to check out this gem. So glad my friend had us go here and showed me this place ♡♡♡

This place was jamming. Busy but service with urgency. Very friendly and inviting staff. Uncle D was actively engaging with guest and that speaks volumes. Food was on point.

This diner has recently celebrated 10 years and will go strong the next 10! My favorite, is the Real corned beef hash with my eggs for breakfast. Better get here early, this is a highly preferred meal. I heard customers calling ahead, to make certain there will be corned beef on the menu. Uncle D's son runs the diner and gives a personal touch to your visit. All the staff out front serve with a smile from the heart. Enjoy!

Stopped here yesterday. So glad I did. After reading the reviews was a must . Was greeted with kindness and a smile . Sat . Waitress was friendly! Great for families. Wide selection menu items. Owners greeting young families with young children with donuts . You can feel that they love what they do. Very passionate is nice to see. I ordered the Philly omelette with coffee. In minutes Served hot. Very good . I will be back.

Love this place. The food is great if you like diners. Their portions are huge. The place is usually super crowded on weekends so fair warning if you don't like crowded spaces.

The BEST diner in this area and they serve breakfast all day! But if you're hungry for a taco or burger at 9am, you can indulge in that as well since their entire menu is available all day. Uncle D's is my go to after an early morning shift. Everything is delicious, cooked to order with quick, friendly service. Servings are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. I highly recommend.

Food was very good, prices reasonable. It was also very clean and wait staff was personable.

In the past breakfast was always great but they have been going down hill. I was approached by a waitress with a bad attitude and they never put cheese on any of the omelettes. when I told the waitress her response was she would take off the price of the cheese when it’s supposedly to be included in the price of the omelette to begin with then everyone at the table asked for the home fries to be extra crispy and they looked like they were on the grill for less then 30 seconds there was nothing crispy about them they tasted boiled when I complained I was told they don’t have enough grill space and was told to order French fries. I won’t becoming back next time I’ll just go to McDonald’s at least they are consistent

Staying in Hartford for the weekend and came across this small, lovely diner just by looking on Google Maps. Since I love trying new diners, I figured why not. And boy was I right! The food and drink is absolutely delicious! Rich hot chocolate (and my waitress piled it high with whipped cream😍), and my eggs with toast were good. My boyfriend got chocolate milk, which was also rich and tasted like the homemade chocolate milk we see at home in Pennsylvania. His sausage, egg and biscuit meal was delicious and had a small kick to it. The biscuit had a crisp to it, even after being smothered in gravy. Homefries were seasoned perfectly. We will definitely be coming back here when we're in Hartford!

One of the best diners I’ve been to! Big menu, delicious food, fast service and friendly staff. We were even surprised that all kids get a free donut, it’s a regular thing! Definitely coming back if we are in the area.

My family and I had the best time at Uncle D’s Diner. We were in town for our daughter’s soccer game and are pretty good at finding good spots where ever we go. This was extra special. The food was great, tasty with diner size portions. But the staff was so inviting and engaging and fun. Highly recommend- they will make you feel like family too!

First time at Uncle D’s I was turned off because the outside looked like Waffle House. I wanted a healthy choice of breakfast and I thought this wasn't the place. But after I got inside was seated and got the menu, I was blown back. This is no Waffle House. The food was fresh and pleasing. Our waitress was pleasant and ensured we were satisfied with our meals. The place was full and the wait time was short. I give Uncle D’s 5 ✨. Try them you won't be disappointed.

OMG!!! Food was probably the best breakfast I have had and served hot with large portions. Staff extremely nice. This would be my go to home town diner if I didn't live 2 hrs away.

All staff and waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Clean establishment. When ordering, I asked if they had rye bread and she answered yes and added it was seedless. That was going to be my next question! I ordered the soup & sandwich special and my husband ordered a hamburger platter. Both cooked perfectly! When ready to leave, I was wondering if we could get to-go cups. The waitress came over and I was going to ask her, but she asked us if she could top off our drinks in a to-go cup for us. Mind readers! I wish we had an Uncle D’s Diner in the Lisbon area!

Great clean and unique atmosphere. Someone playing live music some mornings makes it special. The food and specials are always excellent. The waitstaff is always engaging and friendly. Orders are on point. Coffee could be a tiny bit better, just think it could be stronger but that’s me.. otherwise I LOVE THIS PLACE it deserves 5 stars plus. I always meant to leave a review and never did. Finally doing it now. Check this place out you’ll be glad you did!

The food, service and old fashioned diner atmosphere are why I enjoy coming here again and again. Breakfast and lunch are the specials as they close around 2pm during the week. I've never left hungry or having had a single negative experience. If you're in the area I definitely recommend you stop in!

We watched as others who came in after us were being waited on. When finally waited on the waitress was pleasant not friendly. She seemed scared actually. There was a smile with no small talk. My family loves service that makes us feel at home. The food was ok not spectacular at all. We were asked by a second waitress if we needed more butter. Very observant of her. Still not friendly. Flies were hovering around the table. Breakfast was over $50. If the food was spectacular this would not have been mentioned in this review. The owners son made us wait to pay as he is having a full on conversation with someone and scrolling through his phone. It took him about 3mins to acknowledge us. Yes. 3mins!!!!! Other gracious customers was waiting as well but was sincerely kind in allowing us to go first. After paying the owners son throw the card on the table and DID NOT say anything at all. Had to ask if the transaction was complete. With a big smile he said yes. It felt like he couldn’t wait for us to leaves. POSITIVES: The decor was nice and the little girl who have the menus was the best service we received with an honest welcome and smile.

Uncle D's Diner is a hidden gem. We went for breakfast. The prices were reasonable and the portions were huge. The food was absolutely delicious. The kids have already been begging to go back!

There is no better way to start any day with friendly smiles, and great food. I was lucky enough to stumble accross them, and I have since made it a stop before work multiple times a week before work. Kathy, as well as all of their staff have always gone over and above any expectations. 5 stars isnt enough stars. Highly reccomend!

What a great place! Friendly staff, excellent quality and value food all with live music! We arrived on a busy Saturday morning and we got seated and served in less than 10 minutes as a group of 8 on our way to Six Flags. On our way out the kids were given take away donuts. Good diner food, healthy portions. Clean, really nice waitresses, pleasant atmosphere. Nothing glamorous or fancy, but it doesn't claim to be. We'll be back.

Great workers & delicious food but my family and I felt we are being rushed to leave for the next people to be seated. We were given the food not even 10 min of us eating and the check was given to us. The place is busy but wasn't okay to rush customers out.

Have been here twice now and the staff and food are both excellent. Went for breakfast and pancakes were delicious and then also had lunch and had a chicken wrap which was also really good. Really liked the Car atmosphere as well. Can't wait to try other items on the menu as well. Highly recommend going.

Love this restaurant. The red velet pancakes were amazing. We went for pj day and all the staff were dressed in different fun pjs. The lady at the front was super lovely and the service was fast and delicious. Definitely will go back again. Thank you
