No longer a cafe as it is primarily operating as a roastery but I’m so glad we stopped in! Got the chance to meet Dan who was such a delight. You can tell he has a true love for everything coffee and is living his life passion sharing it with us. I look forward to trying these coffee beans we picked up! Thanks again Dan!

The owner is really nice and the coffee is great!

Do not waste time coming here for anything fresh as they do not have their cafe open. You can only take coffee home to brew. I’m curious how this company is turning any profit where they are located in these times not selling fresh lattes for customers when they are a speciality coffee shop. Again, there is no excuse as a business to waste peoples time advertising themselves as open yet not really open for business.

Wonderful service, great coffee

Made a special trip here and wasted 30 minutes trying to find the place, only to find a sign on the door that says closed until May 11th. Nothing on their website about being closed. Not the greatest looking place either.

Today I get the Ice coffee. I drank it there while having breakfast. The coffee was so good I had to get another one.

I am new to the Fox Valley area, so I've been searching for a local roaster to get fresh beans from. I tried the "buy local" shelf at Festival Foods where I found Uncommon Grounds. My pour over Costa Rica Tarrazu is a bright cup with lasting fruity flavor, and the Longtail espresso is very sweet that pairs well with milk in a latte. What I find most interesting though is the value. I've sampled many rare (and expensive) coffees from around the world. My espresso machine and pour over setups are capturing many of those unique flavors with beans that offer an incredible price point. Pay less and enjoy more, Cheers!

Great coffee comparable to Starbucks

We come here for the gluten free goodies. The Mudd Creek baked goods has earned our business for occasional breakfast treats. My wife is not a fan of their coffee and I only like macadamia nut vanilla Hawaiian coffee so I can't comment their. Someday I want to stop in and try their breakfast options, sandwich or the waffle.

I asked Dan to grind some Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee beans to the ultra fine Turkish grade. Wow! what a treat, one I haven't experienced since being in Haifa, Israel 20 years ago. Just wish I would have known about UCG sooner. If you love coffee you will love Turkish. check out YouTube and give it a try.

Excellent selection of coffee beans, fresh roasted in an antique Spanish roaster. First rate espressos, cappuccinos, etc., and a variety of delicious gluten-free pastries as well. Fair pricing, too.

Not normaly open but owner was there....let us in. Made our coffees to order and shared his knowledge with us. Great coffee and wonderful conversation....dont get that at a starbucks!

Their Ethiopian coffee is THE BEST. I try to be adventurous with coffee beans and try new brands, etc. but I always come back to uncommon grounds. I’ve never been to their shop but I buy their coffee beans at Woodmans and it’s the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. My boyfriend and I stopped using cream in our coffee. It’s that good.

Fabulously quaint shop with exquisite coffee and superlative service. YOU MUST TRY for yourself. Don’t be off put by the location - it’s not a swank destination by any means HOWEVER ignore it. You’ll thank me later.

Stopped in and grabbed a latte and my friend got an iced coffee — wow! Price was very affordable compared to the big chains and much better product too! This place has personal service with staff that cares about what they do! Also tried their pastries/donuts — amazing!!! We will return next time we are in town :)

Some of the best coffee we’ve ever had! Highly recommend uncommon grounds in Appleton Wisconsin. The owner obviously knows and loves his craft and it shows. He recommended the west coast espresso whole bean and it was amazing. Going back for our third bag now! If you ever find yourself in this neck of the woods I wouldn’t hesitate to grab a cup and a bag. Amazing variety of beans made it hard to choose, I’m sure they’re all great but hard to break from the West Coast espresso!

Dan is AWESOME. I had a very memorable cup of fresh roasted & ground pour-over black coffee. There's not much he doesn't know about roasting coffee, we talked for maybe an hour on the subject. I am thoroughly impressed by this hidden gem in the Appleton area. He asked me for an honest review in return, all I can say are VERY GOOD THINGS! If you want a serious, strong, intensely flavorful, no-nonsense cup of coffee, Dan will NOT disappoint! Highly recommend

Great spot to have a cup of coffee, relax, and buy whole beans. The fun part is you have to actually try to find this place. It's not easy to notice or think of when you're in the mood for coffee. Worth it!

Great place! There is a wide variety of fresh coffee roasts! The guy working at the time of my visit who is also the owner is really cool and nice! Also, the coffee is fantastic! Especially the low prices! If you are looking to chill while enjoying some coffee/espresso, there are tables you can do that at inside.
