Just wow. First of all, I love and cook a LOT of Italian food. This place is the real deal. Freshest ingredients (Garlic, parsley, seafood, etc.) - No jarred or canned sauce has ever been allowed in this place. I first tried them via Door Dash and then we followed it up with an in person visit. Both times, I can confirm that their dishes use the freshest of oils (and high quality) and their portion sizes are RIDICULOUS. Hidden gem. Fantastic service inside (despite them being very busy) too. We will be back! Edit to add pictures of their amazing meals even when ordered via Door Dash!!

Update: Still terrific! Great service. Great food. Everyone enjoy your two weeks off. I know you'll come back refreshed and back making those great dishes and delicacies.⁰ After driving by for months & months, we finally came for dinner. And we brought people dear to us. An outstanding experience! The food was amazing, just like friends said it would be. The selection was wide and the portions were generous, just the the hospitality. Chris, the owner, came by and introduced himself and made sure we had everything we needed. The staff was terrific and made sure we wanted for nothing. We brought home dessert and just finished it. Went here for my birthday dinner. Food was amazing, all made fresh in house. Owner came by the table, introduced himself and helped us enjoy our dinner. Such great, really authentic Italian food and the desserts are all made in house by the chef-- amazing!! Do not hesitate to try this restaurant-- you will be so glad you did

Ordered the “chicken piccata” it was not chicken piccata. There is nothing authentic about this place. Just a food place in an area where there aren’t any restaurants so people think it’s good.

Food was good until I looked down to see flies on it. Service was the worst I’ve had in soooo long. And the atmosphere would have been ok but the people next to use thought their table was a bathroom. Waste of money and I’m still hungry.

I randomly stumbled across this restaurant, and have gone a few times now and I must say it’s probably my favorite restaurant! The food is EXCELLENT the deserts are even more EXCELLENT! I think everything is reasonably priced and the portions are good! I want to try everything on the menu at some point. Each time I go, I’ve tried something new and it always has me wanting more! Highly recommend this place. The service is also great.

No welcome in, waited for drink order, overall disappointing

We have heard lots of people talking about this place. So we decided to give it a shot. When we got there the parking lot was very full. We went in and it was not what I expected. We sat at a high top table by the bar. The wait staff was very nice. Kris was out waitress. We ordered the garlic knots and they came out. Kris came over and said they looked over done and she brought us some more without even saying anything. She gave us her favorites from the menu. The food was delicious. I ordered the all meat calzone and wow, a huge meal. The food was so delicious. The owner Chris came out to check on every table while we were there to make sure that we enjoyed the food. I love how he wants to make everything right for the customers to keep coming back. It’s a family owned business and I would recommend this Restaurant. The Italian desserts are amazing. We will be back!

Chris hosted a dress rehearsal dinner for us which was about sixty people and he pulled the rabbit out of his hat because everything was amazing and more than enough food and desserts for everyone to eat twice with lots of leftovers to take. He has a great heart and personality. His staff executed everything perfectly. Would definitely recommend him to others that would be interested in his cusine.

Food is outstanding, Period! I have personally not had a bad thing yet. Owners are great and interactive with customers. Waiters and waitress are very good.

My wife and I were trying to figure out where to go for dinner. I wanted pizza and said how about Mellow Mushroom. She said let's try Valentina! I am so glad she did it was AMAZING! Shane waited on us and he was absolutely great! We started with drinks and garlic knots. I've had garlic knots before but these were amazing! Then we tried there supreme pizza which there again was absolutely great! I think we have found our little place. I want to try everything on their menu!

If you have ever lived somewhere else, it might be an adjustment. Food in other areas can be outstanding. I wish we had a spot to rave about, but this place was not bad at all. It’s “ food” and lovely people, but I don’t think anyone will be waiting in line for it. It felt like a meal with nice service. Good enough to not complain but probably not good enough to be a repeat customer. Lovely staff. I wish them all the BEST.

Valentina's was amazing, like being back in Sicily. We loved everything we had, and the owner was so warm and welcoming. He and his staff make you feel like you're at nonnas.

Chris and his team are amazing from the kitchen to hostess. Never had a bad meal or experience. This quickly became one of our favorite go to places for our Friday night dinner date.

I have been here 3 times, the food was great first time, I had chicken Alfredo with broccoli which was very good & a lot left over! 2nd time I had garlic knots and I had to wait for them but they were freshly baked so they were pretty good. Had the chicken piccata which wasn’t memorable and very little left over. I enjoyed the rigatoni more! The 3rd time there the garlic knots were hard and swimming in butter. I had the eggplant parm and there was very little there! They shaved the eggplant so thin it looked like a pile of cheese! But again the rigatoni was good! I won’t be back for a while since, I spent way too much to not enjoy! Very little amount of leftovers…

We were the first customers of the day. The seats were covered in crumbs, both in the booth we were in as well as surrounding tables. The waitress brought the condiments to all of the tables straight from the fridge, and the Parmesan shaker top was covered in dried red sauce. The calzone was ok, and the waitress and owner were super nice and friendly. However if the very basics weren't clean, I'm worried the kitchen is just as bad or worse.

Hands down best Italian restaurant around! Chris is very warm and welcoming and seems to be very passionate about his restaurant and quality of food, you can absolutely taste it! His Bruschetta is the best I've ever had! Everything from the appetizers to the desserts that we ordered was off the charts delicious! No question I will be returning! No more searching for a decent pizza either! This restaurant literally has all my Italian craving needs and is now my "go to" Italian restaurant!

Amazing, authentic Italian! Generous portions, great menu variety, and amazing desserts. It is obvious the owner deeply cares and has a passion for his restaurant. This is a gem that deserves the community's support.

Best Italian food in the Jacksonville area.

I just found this and am sad I didn't find them when they originally opened. Authentic delicious food is so close to me. Italian is my favorite, and it's so hard to find anything actually good. This place is superior! We will have the entire menu tried quickly!

I am an RN and after a very long day I called to place a Togo order at 7:45 on a Saturday night, hours state open until 10:00pm the person thst answered the phone said hold on I'll Ned to ask the kitchen, she gets back on and tells me they are closed. I was ordering one meal and they couldn't even take the order. Should not have posted hours and close 2:15 min early. Thanks I had no dinner.

Went with the family and had a great time, appetizers, dinner and dessert was all delicious and the owners were extremely friendly. Will be back many times.

I hate to leave a negative review at a small restaurant but I was very disappointed with my experience. Bruschetta was AMAZING, but was very let down by my main course. I hate to say it but it tasted like Chef Boyardee, straight out of a can. I wouldn’t mind the foods poor quality if it was more reasonably priced, but when I’m paying 20$ a meal I expect it to be good. Everyone at the table was left disappointed and I cannot get the taste of the sauce out of my mouth. Eggplant was essentially inedible and the portions were much smaller than any other Italian place I’ve been to. I’ve had “authentic italian,” unfortunately this is not it.

I will not be going here again. The bruschetta was edible but it was burnt and they used parmesan instead of fresh mozzarella. The chicken parm was the worst meal I've ever had. The sauce left a nasty taste in our mouths and the whole table was disappointed. I don't know what is in that sauce but it tastes terrible and is very watery. $20 for canned orange sauce and soggy spongy chicken. I've had authentic Italian food many times and this is not it. If you're going to cut corners, don't charge so much. I felt bad being unable to eat such an expensive meal.

First time here, food was amazing, my new favorite spot.

We've been here twice. The first trip was pretty good but nothing is traditional Italian. The picatta is more of a lemon cream sauce, the marinara is really not marinara but something of a hybrid and the linguini with clams was tasty but oddly different. Tonight was a different story. The eggplant parmesean was so salty it was barely edible. Once again, its not a true basic tomato sauce or marinara but something with much less flavor. Also, if you're serving your parmesean dishes with ziti, you should probably disclose that on the menu. Two eggplant parmesean entrees(one with sausage), two house salads, garlic knots and 2 sangria drinks. $92 with tip. It's just not good enough at that price point.

My favorite spot, everything is fresh made. Owners greet you every time and that's saying another because they're also the head cook.

Chicken was overcooked on two dishes. The amount of food for $24 per plate was on the low side compared to other places. The sauce was good and the noodles were cooked well.

The atmosphere was great and there was no shortage on menu items. Tried the mini Stromboli which was a perfect balance along with soups and a cannoli. Owner was extremely nice, and m I will come back here again when I visit this side of town.

We stopped in for lunch while at a dance competition and were blown away! You wouldn’t know from the outside how cute the inside is and how delicious the food is!!!

Expensive but food is amazing... when I sat in the servers were gone for a while so my drink was empty for a while. Would recommend if you've got money for a higher priced meal but price tag feels close to quality of the food

What a great little nugget! The food was excellent, Kris our waitress was superb, and the guy singing Sinatra songs was a nice touch for an Italian restaurant. Four out of 5 stars on the atmosphere because I'd like the lighting to be just a tad dimmer. Silly "complaint" I know, but on nice Italian food with singing and wine, something a bit more... intimate would be nice. Adult drinks were great and well made. Started of with appetizers, ravioli and calamari. Both had great exterior crunch with tender insides. We split the main coarse of the Gnocci with Pistachio Alfredo. That was so good! Nice peppered, the sauce was creamy with the pistachio adding a nice taste. The gnocchi was nice just chewy enough. Such a great choice! We split the main course so we could hit up the dessert counter with a cannoli, and two things that were in the pastry section but not on the menu. We had bits of each and will be nibbling on them for a couple days. Lots of different desserts, not all on the menu. Go figure that one out yourself! Will definitely be making this part of the date night rotation.

Food and Service were excellent

This is hands down my new favorite Italian restaurant. This is true, authentic, homemade Italian food. Reminds me of my Grandma's cooking. The owner is super cool as well. My only concern is where he's going to go next because he's going to outgrow the spot he's at now. Wherever he goes, I will definitely be following.

Can’t say enough good things about this amazing restaurant! So glad it’s right here in Clay County. We have dined in, carried out and catered. They never disappoint. My husband and I love Italian food, and we found an amazing, authentic, quaint Italian restaurant located in Orange Park!! All food is hand-made in the restaurant. That's the noodles, sauce, gnocchi, and desserts, to name a few. I had spaghetti and meatballs, and my husband had the gnocchi with pesto and sausage. Wow, the food melted in our mouths. The staff was awesome and super friendly. The owner came over to make sure we were satisfied, and we were more than satisfied. We will be back soon!! Great job, guys. You are doing a fantastic job!!

What a hidden gem!! We wanted to find an authentic Italian restaurant and this is it! The owner Chris is so personable and welcoming. His bakery treats and food items are superb! The vodka sauce with the ravioli is top notch. My husband had the shrimp/linguini with a slightly spicy sauce...SO good. Our daughter had a pizza from the kids menu. We were shocked to see this beautiful crust and stretchy cheese! There was nothing small or kiddie about it. Kids CAN eat real food. She was thrilled with it! 100% please get the bruschetta appetizer! The flavor and texture is AMAZING. It was hard to stop eating to save room for the main dish. We tried a pistachio cookie, an almond cookie, a Nutella cookie....to.die.for!! We had to take the tiramisu and cannoli home...the best we have had in decades!! (Italian grandparents that have passed) We can not wait to try everything there. The service was so absolutely pleasant and happy to accommodate. That is refreshing! We highly recommend!

Wonderful food, house made pastas, sausages, desserts and drinks. Cozy seating with fun, Italian, family style atmosphere, live Italian music singers, incredible staff, even remembered what we ordered last visit. Good pricing, Owner is super friendly and personally speaks with all diners and guests. Tight parking, recommend reservations on Fri and Sat, but definitely worth the dining experience!

The owners treat you like family. The crowd seems like family. The food is amazing. All homemade. The desserts also. Valentina, one of the owners, sings on Fridays and Saturdays. Chris, her husband and other owner, is beautifully present. Just really a phenomenal experience.

The food was good, but it was disappointing when an employee acknowledged the food was incorrect, and stated the kitchen was already shut down (30 minutes prior to their posted closing time) and asked if it really made a difference which item we received as they are similar. We are pretty easy people when it comes to ordering food, and would’ve been more than happy to just take the incorrect item but the approach of the employee wasn’t what I expect from someone who works in customer service, especially food service. Nonetheless it wasn’t a friendly food pick up… We were approached after picking up the food and getting in the car to leave by the employee and possibly the owner because their online orders are frequently “stolen” and they wanted us to show confirmation a second time, we appreciated the owner apologizing afterwards but it was just a very awkward uncomfortable experience.

Great service and FANTASTIC food!

Attached to a gas station. The food is horrible, terrible ambiance, hot, crowded, fluorescent-style lighting. The pasta was NOT made from scratch. It tasted like it came straight out of a box. The meatballs were cold and tasteless. The calamari were hard, rubbery, and greasy. The shrimp on the alfredo were boiled-looking and the size of a nickel. Having a reservation means nothing. Get ready to wait hours for this awful experience. Big parties will get faster service, regardless of if they were sat down after you. The meals come with nothing but the meal. No bread or salad. The tables are tiny. The good parts are the sauces do taste like they're made from scratch and Valentina’s singing was lovely. The place does have potential but the way it is run is very unorganized and unfair to the paying customers.

I’m traveling for work. I decided to stop here for dinner and this place blew me away. The server was attentive and warm. The veteran owner was very welcoming and down to earth. The food was phenomenal! Fresh, well-made and to die for. Down to the garlic bread. I also ordered both tiramisus (regular and raspberry) to go. I am ashamed to admit I just devoured both in one sitting. I will have to go back there to order a whole sheet of each to take home. Holy. Bajeezus.

First time Calzone. I love Aaron's calzones. My husband brought it to me. I saw the size wow. I bite disgusting oh my. I have had a ton off calzones in my lifetime and this was the worst from valentinas on college. Have to try something else.

Absolutely delicious. Got the all meat calzone and some toasted ravioli and had two meals easily. The price may seem a little high but it accommodates a generous portion size and great flavor.

The owner Chris is awesome & walks around greeting everyone, you know the face behind the small business you’re supporting which is so rare these days & much appreciated. His wife has a beautiful voice & sings live music, only adding to the ambiance. Glad they’re here - my family & I are happy to support their business! We have been several times on Friday & they definitely fill up, I hope their business continues to do well because we love coming here! The bruchetta, olive oil & garlic pizza, & bakery items are all a must!!

This place is amazing! The owner Chris is so friendly and personable. The staff are all amazing! That’s just the first impression. The menu has several great options and it’s very affordable for authentic Italian cuisine. We tried several things the Bruschetta is the best me and my guy have ever had! The fettuccini Alfredo with the Crispy Chicken has so much flavor. We also got a BBQ chicken pizza which was AMAZING. Then ended with a fresh berry tiramisu that was out of this world. Definitely a must visit. Great vibe, amazing food, great options and fun drinks and desserts. Thank you Chris and Team we will be back!

The food was excellent. The owner came over to the table when we arrived and wanted make sure we enjoyed everything. I was very impressed. Our server was excellent. She was attentive and efficient. The desert was incredible. I don't know what it is called but it was great.

The atmosphere was very comfortable. There was live music and the staff was friendly. Great sauce, over cooked veal, and frozen desserts. It's a mix of good and not so good. All in all, I had a great time with my date.

Ate at the resturant tonight based on a friend's recommendation. The bruschetta was fantastic and enough for a full meal for 2 people. The veal parmesan was delicious with the sauce just right and the large helping of veal very tender. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful explaining the different dishes to us. To really make our dining event special, the owner's wife and another male singer sang throughout the night, adding just the right touch to our evening. Their bakery is also amazing...hard to resist. It was nice to go into a family owned authentic Italian resturant where the owner visited the tables and his wife, with such a beautiful voice, entertained you. We will be back.

I honestly think our timing was bad. Had dinner there last night, the place feels italian 100%, the food was just ok. The garlic knots were chewy, the calamari were perfect but the marinara sauce is a strange one, too liquid, not what you expect, need to eat the calamari with a spoon to be able to get the sauce, off color too. My daughter ordered chicken picata and the texture of the chicken was horrible which is not their fault, my wife ordered a bruschetta and it came with parmesan cheese instead of fresh mozzarella, i then look at the menu and that is what it said so we ate it, and it was ok but not what you expect, i had their linguine in the vodka sauce, the flavor was incredible but again the sauce was too liquid, hard to stick to the pasta which was broken up, not very italian if you ask me, and to end the night my son was excited to try their raspberry tiramisu and it was frozen, i did tell we could not eat that. Not sure we would return

Best I’ve had outside of Sicily! The bruschetta is incredible. So is the pasta and the pistachio gnocchi was sooo good!!! Also have some of the limoncello after dinner it’s delish!

Omg, real deal Italian, the food is amazing and fresh, but the atmosphere is still in a convenience store lot. Plus, the musical entertainment was kind of in the way when leaving. Overall, a bit overpriced for being beside the Circle k, even with cloth napkins. Also, no antipasto salad...who does that? We'll get food from here again, just bring it home. Try the house dressing, not sweet, just savory.

Our first visit to Valentina’s will not be our last! Wonderful food and friendly, accomodating staff. Start off with one of the appetizers…we chose the bruschetta and wow! Huge portion, easily enough for 4 and, hands down the best I have ever had. We had a calzone, eggplant Parm, lasagna and veal Marsala at our table, the calzone was huge! The Marsala was top notch, very good, almost as good as mine😂. We had reservations at 5 and were out by 615-630. Not rushed at all. Quiet when we arrived with steadily increasing # of customers over time as we expected. Great addition to the area’s restaurant selection.

I love this restaurant! The food is excellent if I can give more than five stars I would. I frequent it often, and it has never disappointed. Everything from a delicious crispy pizza loaded with mozzarella cheese made to your specifications, to mouthwatering entrees, and the Italian pastries are the best! Service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is one that makes you want to come back soon! And I do! I have been a frequent customer since I found this place! The pizza was good, we ordered a small Margherita and small pepperoni pizza, it cost $35.00 for 2 12 inch pizzas. Granted they are new and trying to get established, but that's way too costly.

I have eaten at your restaurant three times and had takeout 3-4 times. The food quality has always been excellent. However, the Veal Marsala, which is my go to since it’s one of the best tasting I’ve had, was not up to par tonight when I ordered takeout. Instead of 2 medium sized pieces I received one larger thick piece which was very tough. Usually you can cut the veal with your fork it’s so tender but not tonight. Disappointed

Hands down best Chicken Marsala I have had in Jacksonville Area. Small Family owned homemade food.

This was my third visit. It was very crowded as there was a concert at Thrasher Horne. This brings up my biggest complaint. Having tickets for that event and knowing the restaurant would be very busy, I made reservations two months ago. When we arrived, we were told that there were “walk ins” and we would have to wait. REALLY! If you allow reservations, you need to honor them. “Walk In” should be the ones waiting. If the reservation doesn’t arrive after 15 minutes and doesn’t notify you, give up the table. That is what most restaurants do. I saw another comment about the sauce. I agree. It was an orange color and was not good. I don’t think it was like that in my previous visits. Despite being overwhelmed, Chris, the owner kept his composure and friendly approach, doing what ever he could to make you as happy as possible. Our waitress was as attentive as possible and I have no complaints about her. The entertainment, singing was very good, despite the loud atmosphere. The restaurant has great potential, but is suffering from growing pains. Obviously very popular, they need a larger facility with adequate parking. Chris arranged for me to park across the street, but being dark I felt that was pretty dangerous. Road construction added to the confusion. I will definitely return and hopefully they accept my constructive criticism. But, if I make a reservation and it is not honored again, I will not return. John Dunlap LCDR, USN, RET

How to start? There were a couple flys?! Irritating. Food AMAZING! Holy cow, my wife and I are amazed! We are more then comfortable drive an hour for good food. But to have this hidden away is orange park is a wonder. Full liquor, wine and beer. SO WORTH A VISIT. We will be back

The bruscetta is to die for; large, lotsa of veggies, crispy, tasty bread, nice balsamic glaze. Desserts are puny and $$. Dinner wasn't very tasty, but I think I can improve my leftovers to my taste some. We'll give it another go sometime soon and give different items a go. So, we went back..., for pizza. Tasty, but ex$pensive for two 12" to 14" pies. Almost, but not quite crispy crust, as requested. (fussy) A la carte toppings ($1.50 each), including extra sauce (side?), added up fast. Caesar salad was tasty, as before. Dessert, a "lobster tail", vanilla, was $9.00! We get wiser every visit....

I really wanted to like this place, but I didn’t! Huge disappointment! The pizza barely had sauce on it and the crust was floppy and greasy. The fettuccine Alfredo was dry with barely any sauce on it and little flavor. The garlic knots were awesome!!!! I wish I could have these garlic knots with Benito’s food, that would be an awesome combination!!!!

Can't get more authentic than this place. Great staff, great service.

The Bruschetta appetizer is the best and can be a meal on it's own!

Really wanted to like this place. Having a small mom and pop Italian place nearby would be great. This place isn’t it. The food did nothing for me. Ordered the chicken parm, large portions, but the sauce is orange and has a weird taste. I don’t know what they add to the sauce for the orange color, it just wasn’t good. I’m used to free bread or a salad with my entrée, this place offers neither. Took home a lasagna, it wasn’t good either. There was hardly any cheese in between the lasagna noodles. I highly recommend Bella Vista for Italian food.
