We had the pleasure of stopping by on a live music night. The musician was great and added a nice touch to our night. The bartender was super sweet but we had the marvelous experience of meeting the GM and one of the brewers. They gave us a tour of the brew room and a little history of the brewery. Such a wonderful atmosphere with kind people who are passionate about what they do. The beer is also delicious and they have a lot of games and allow dogs! Stop by when you have the chance, you won’t regret it.

Veterans United used to create small batches every week that were unique, innovative, and different flavors which made it exciting and fun to check out. They no longer do this and repeat the same batches so it’s pretty much the same line of beers. Otherwise, clean atmosphere and quaint little area.

Neat place with plenty of seats, games and of course beer. Over 25 on the menu. Sometimes they’re out of one or two, but rest assured they’ll be back in a few days. Love the Cherry Bombshell and The Snipe. Such tasty combos. You could spend hours looking at all the Veteran memorabilia on the walls. Food truck on some evenings too. Call ahead to see who’s in the parking lot!

Beautifully appointed tasting room in an out of the way nondescript location. Beer focused. We had a flight of five and three were very good. Left with a six pack of a lighter IPA. The bar girl was extremely friendly and personable. Most local craft beer places are friendly, but she was a notable exception. Last there about ten years ago as a hangout after work when they recently opened, has only improved.

Good options, good service and live music on Fridays.

I enjoy VBU so much, I introduced this place to a friend and he bought me a beer while we sat and chatted. Wednesday is trivia night so there was a good crowd. There's usually 2 servers on staff, but this night only one was on duty, but it was not an issue. I'll be back 😉

Nicely hidden away location, but easy to get to. Decorated with cool military pictures of ships, helicopters, and jets. It has a clean open area taproom. I never heard of this brewery before this past Monday. They have a lot of different beers and I've probably tasted half of them so far. All are solid and several are right in my wheelhouse. Love the Hop Banchee, amber, paratrooper porter, A5, CCJ stout. I hope that my local distributor in S. Carolina can get this beer. Wish they had room temp beers to go to take back home.

Even though this place is WAAAAY off the beatin path, I love the service! Also, it’s VETERAN OWNED, so as a veteran myself, I’ll support them in any way I can! Always given top notch service and they remembered my name after only 1 visit…feels like home!

Speaking directly to anybody looking to work here. This was the worst work experience I’ve ever had. Bartenders here usually quit within 4 months. The owner, Ron throws tantrums and is the worst boss I’ve worked for. The location is pretty bad and the beer is decent.

This place is GREAT! Full tap list of nothing but winners. Even if it's a style I don't care for, I know the quality will be good. Buncha other good things: big tables, trivia nights, food trucks, best drunken pizza in town, but ... 100% the best BEST part is the staff are friendly and cool.

This is a nice surprise. Very welcoming. I am frequently visiting Mayport Naval Station on assignment and make sure I visit this place after off time. There are absolute knockout tap selections. My dilemma is trying to be in the area before the seasonal selections tap out. Key Lime Pilsner is the one I'm either too early or too late. But one of these days!

Wide variety and great tasting beers.

Shelby was awesome, although she needs to let people know she's an Army vet. 😉 My husband and I are Seabee vets and have wanted to visit this establishment for over a year now, and we finally made it. Well worth the drive. The beer was great, and so was the cider. Even got to meet a fellow EO. Great place, highly recommended if you like craft beer and Veterans!

One of our favorite bars in Jacksonville, we come all the time and have always had a great experience. Beer is great, staff is friendly and always quick with the pours. John (the bar manager) takes great care of us every time and even showed a very drunk customer the door when they were harrassing our table. Go Friday nights for live music!

Good small bar that dedicates to the Vets. Only complaint is if you have Kristen, then you might have good or bad service depending on if she likes you or not. Very disrespectful toward me, I never have that when Kennedi or John is there.

I never heard of this place until yesterday. We had a hail and bail for a service member transferring. Walking in you can feel the pride. The staff were friendly, nice and very patient. He took time to explain the different beers and if you weren’t sure about a flavor you could sample before committing… I will most definitely swing back by here. Thank you all for what you do!!

Best IPAs in Jacksonville! VU is easily overlooked because it is off the beaten path, but this bar is truly a local legend.

Excellent service, a wide selection of beers, inviting atmosphere, board games, flights, beer snacks, trivia -- great place to spend a weekday night after work. Home of Veterans United beers available in local Jacksonville grocery and liquor stores; all brewed in house. Brewery tours $10 Saturdays at 1:30, 2:30, 3:30 and 4:30 pm. Comes with 3 free pours in a complimentary glass!!! Seriously can't say enough good things about this place. It's a bit out of the way and tucked out of sight of a main road but 100% worth a detour.

Awesome staff! There were no waits when you're ready for the next craft beer, such a great selection and they make it locally, which is an awesome plus! Went on a Saturday night and enjoyed a comedy show while sipping and chugging different beverages, what a great place to hang out and enjoy being away from home and still be comfortable almost like being in another home. Pils 4.8abv pretty good, a light hop nose and v-light bitter finish (a bit too lite for me) 16oz ; Pale ale 6.1abv pretty good, light hop malt nose and a light bitter finish (a good discription is 'boring', for me) 16oz ; (after these two I wasn't inspired for more) - good parking ; certainly off the beaten path ; good WiFi ; 1 TV ; board games to play ; serving sizes and prices are clearly listed ; 21 beers listed on tap today (with 9 being adjunct/belgo malt beverages) ; no outdoor seating ;

This place is AMAZING!! The beers are the best in town. They make their own seltzer too. The pictures and other memorabilia make the atmosphere so unique. A MUAT VISIT PLACE and I.promise you will come back again and again and again.

Beers okay. Crowd is different than the regular craft beer crowd. Never been busy when I've been in. Not knocking it... just not my vibe. Will support local brews, though! Bought all of my conservative beer drinking family in NY merch!

Sam was holding down the fort by himself and he was doing a great job. Never been to this brewery before and was amazed at their selection. We will return!!!

Nice atmosphere. Great place to hang out with friends...or make new friends. I liked the sour and fruit beers. They have trivia every Wed and other special events on a regular basis. They support our military, which is something I can get behind.

Nice place, good atmo. They mostly have IPAs but there's still something for everyone. A little tucked away but worth a trip. Great place to get dropped off during a shopping trip.

This low key brewery is tucked away at the end of an what appears to be an industrial like park away from the busy city streets and stresses of everyday life. You have to drive past several businesses that have closed for the night to find this Brewery.They have many great beers to choose from, as well with 2 separate rooms to socialize in. Makes this a place you can easily meet up with everyday friends or catch up with old ones. The main room is host to many entertaining events and shows from Live Music, Stand Up Comedy, Poker and Trivia nights, as well as several different food and beer pairings to name a few. The second room is where you can easily socialize or grab a board game from a selection and do your own thing. Jacksonville has some good Breweries with there own unique qualities, but this one is my favorite! They are typically less crowded and serve more beers that fit my taste. Also, the wait time to get a beer tends to be far less than the other Breweries too.

Great beer and great people this brewery is definitely worth a visit if you are in Jacksonville! They don't really have food like other breweries in the area but they do sell some chips and dog treats if you decide to bring a pup.

Great experience for a Friday night with a friend! We caught some BBQ food truck outside and came into a great looking taproom with pleasant management and service. I tried the Porter, Oatmeal stout and the hefeweizen...all great! Definitely worth coming in off the beaten path to enjoy some great local craft brew!

Always a good time here. Great beer, great people, and fun atmosphere. Tucked back in a office/warehouse development, it can be hard to find, but worth the drive. Thanks for supporting us Seabees!

I went on a rainy Friday. It's been awhile since I visited here, and I'm glad I went back. Try something other than the standards. Megan is an excellent server. Only bad thing is the out of the way location.

Great local brewery that's Veteran owned and operated. They have some of the best, most consistent beer in town. Every Thursday they have a small batch beer that's generally a one off of one of their normal beers. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. They are tucked away off of Western Way in an industrial park, so trust Google maps, there really is a brewery back there.

Gorgeous bar, though almost hidden at the back of the building. Very clean inside and fantastic service. We each got a flight with great variety then sat and played games for a couple hours. Time absolutely flew by! The music was to our liking and at the end of the night we took home a crowler (can-growler) of something unique until we can go back.
