I have loved this place since college many years ago. I was back in Baton Rouge recently, and I am happy to say it is just as good as I remembered it being!

Great food and service. I miss the pine nuts in the Lebanese tea!

Just here to drop a review. We have been here a couple of times and mostly order a take out from here. This place maintains the same taste and quality and never disappoints. We love their food❤️

The food, service, and atmosphere were excellent. We ordered the chicken shwarma plate and the shrimp kabob. Both were delicious.

There's a reason Albasha is voted 225's best Mediterranean. The stuffed grape leaves and the combo shawarma plate is my usual go-to, but I tried the broiled fish lunch special this time and was not disappointed.

Best place to get lunch near campus. So much food for a good price. I can always count on it to hit. I don't think i could get sick of the combo plate even if i ate it everyday. I usually just call in my order and then pick it up for to go.

Vegetarian Plate highly recommended!! Must Try - Fried Cheese , Hummos , Baba Ghanouj, Falafel and Taboule Salad

My favorite Greek and Lebanese restaurant. My favorite dish here is the Chicken Shawarma salad. The dressing is so good.

Our order was taken by the server however the server chose to speak with other people for nearly 30 minutes and never placed our order with the kitchen. We walked out the manger offered us to go food quickly because the server was her sister. Went to Serop and was provided great service.

Came in with my wife to have some authentic Greek food and left extremely satisfied. I had the Gyros Sandwich and my wife had the Gyro plate. It was delicious. I got to eat my wifes leftovers. Not because she didn't like it but because they definitely serve nice size portions. You definitely get your moneys worth. Not only in quality and taste but also in the portions. Service is also great. I highly recommend you stopping by.

I LOVE Albasha. When I worked in Baton Rouge (when Inused took for Gordon McKernan - I always ate there - they have the most amazing chicken swarma - tender yet crispy on one side. The rice, salad and hummus on the plate are all my favorite. The hummus has a very smooth consistency- and they have some of the best pita bread around! You must try the Lebanese ice tea!

Omggggg 🤪 I did Uber Eats! I have no words! This exceeded my expectations! Absolutely phenomenal flavors bursting in your mouth! Food was hot and fresh and great proportion! The garlic fried cheese was to die for. The dolmades were warm just like I like them! And the lamb....lord help me! If you are a fan of Greek food....RUN! The taziki was the icing on the cake!

Everything about Albasha has been good. I've been eating at all the locations forever and I've always been satisfied.

My order was taken quickly and delivered to my table quickly however server never returned to check on me or provide drink refills I had to get up and ask for my ticket and a to-go carton

This is the first Lebanese restaurant I ate at in Baton Rouge. I compare everyone all over the world to Albasha. I love the food. The service is with compassion, and I feel like I'm home every time I dine. Yes, I'm a fan for life!

We were traveling from Austin Tx. To Florida and twice we stopped to have dinner here. The food was really incredible and the service was terrific. I am taking another trip this month and plan to return to this wonderful restaurant. It was the best it sold me of different food than what I am used to and I am a southern man born in Fla. Folks I recommend this restaurant highly. We all agreed we truely loved it including the two Grandchildren boy and girl ages 13 and 10! That in itself is exceptional!

We love this place! We had Albasha's Meza for 2. The food was delicious, and the portions were large. The staff's service was good and very friendly. Will visit again!

I'm a recent resident of Baton Rouge and this is one of the best meals I've had since I got here! I had the Mixed Grill Special (beef, lamb and chicken). It was so juicy and tender. I must mention the sides, too: salad (excellent dressing!), hummus, pita bread, and rice. Fantastic meal! I'm looking forward to dining there, again!

This place is one of my favorites in Baton Rouge - always fresh and delicious. I love the lentil soup and spanakopita. I wish they had fresh home-brewed Lebanese tea with the pine nuts instead of bottled but you win some you lose some.

Recently we visited on Wednesday, we ordered two shawarma plate, it's an all time favorite for my family. But this time it was disappointing the standards have gone down the chicken in the shawarma was so hard and dry and burnt. It was very hard to chew. Even the service has gone down they don't come and pay much attention to your suggestions. The waiters are doing it for name sake. Not very happy with it. 😕😕

I had a great time eating dinner here. I brought my friend from Greece with me and he also enjoyed the food. The service was fantastic. I will definitely eat here again!

Driving through Baton Rouge, I was pleasantly surprised to find this great Greek restaurant. I got the lamb shank and it was delicious. Only complaint is I wish I was had a bigger portion 😀.

We got lentil soup that was excellent but my hubby got just the meats which we were not impressed with as they seemed not so great quality and machine processed or packaged versus the authentic that you may find in the roasts that are manually done. Overall would recommend for lentil soup!! 🥣

Great food. Had meatless stuffed grape leaves, gyro, and baba ganoush. My biggest issue was the temperature of the food. The stuffed grape leaves were all temperatures. A few were hot, a few luke warm and a few cold. Confusing. Flavor was on point! My gyro was not warm at all. Felt like it might've been sitting waiting on the server; however, the meat was just how I like it, tender and moist. Their baba ganoush was super yummy. I'll be getting that again as a take out order. Seriously super yummy. Only a few of the pitas were warm. Unfortunately, the server was lack luster. She came once to my table during the meal and the other time during the meal she called to me from more than twenty feet away to see if I was ok. Kinda of weird interaction. Made me feel like I was second class because I was dining alone. Foolish because I tip crazy good when I get a good server. I would've been if they had cracked a smile. The greeter who seated me was super and made me think it was going to be great service. I'll probably be back for some take out and avoid the service.

I love this place. Probably my favorite Baton Rouge restaurant. I've been dozens of times. The owner/manager runs a tight ship, he's great. There's a reason THIS is the best Albasha in the city. Food is great, could be a little more seasoned, but I always have a great time here.

Me and my friends were returning from New Orleans and found this place to have lunch. We loved the food and the atmosphere here and server was so nice. This was my first time trying Mediterranean food, I had Chicken Shawarma Plate and falafel, I loved it.

Original (2017): Always great food and friendly service. Edited: I have been enjoying Albasha since ~2008. The favorite part of my meal was always the thick and creamy feta dressing. After all these yrs, its no longer the same. It's much lighter in color, texture, and taste. I thought when I had it this way on a visit a couple of months ago it was a one-off. But after it being the exact same way tonite, I've come to the disappointing conclusion that the dressing has changed. If I continue to visit, I'll have to find a new meal to indulge in. Hopefully the lamb chops and redfish are still as delicious as they have been in the past.

Literally, the best meal that we’ve had between Louisiana and Baton Rouge. My wife and I saw this place from the road and decided to visit. The atmosphere is romantic with paintings and frescoes from the Mediterranean. My wife and I shared the Mexa platter which had a combination of falafel, baba ghanouj, beef, and chicken, Shawarma, and hummus. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. 👌🏾

Driving through BR and based on other reviews decided to dine at Albasha. Great decision!!! The food and service were both top notch. Each of us tried something different, enjoyed by alol and would definitely come back. Abby, our server, was excellent and was so patient w us and our many questions. We would be regulars if we lived in the area.

Visited Albasha Greek & Lebanese while staying at the Extended Stay America nearby. Very good Mediterranean food. The gyros were very nice and well seasoned and my partners chicken was also very tasty. We sat outside and got excellent service, very quick and accommodating. The hummus was especially nice and served with a basket of warm pita. Overall, a lovely dining experience.

Always enjoy the food. Favorites include chicken fettuccine, lamb chops, broiled fish. Mixed kabob grill is a must-have.

This is the best Greek food we've had since leaving NYC. The portions were huge and the baklava was super tasty. Prices were reasonable and this chain definitely needs to come to Springfield, IL. Absolutely amazing!

The waitress gave me such a friendly greeting. She was perfectly fine eating at the restaurant while I was about to order takeout. Inadvertently, I had also added a combo dish with beef. When I went up to her once more, she replaced it and offered me spinach pies. Her hospitality has really won me over. I'm sorry, I forgot to ask your name, but thanks again, girl:).

This is fun restaurant .It feels very family friendly. They have a nice variety of dishes - gyros & shawarmas, kabobs of all kinds, soups & salads, hummus, baba, etc. Everyone will a meal to their liking.

Great, authentic Greek / Mediterranean food. We tried different dishes on 2 Days. The Moussaka was almost as good as in Greece, with the right herbes and ingredients. My lamb shank was perfectly tender. The okra Moussaka isn’t a real one, but the okras, cooked with tomatoes and onions, are absolutely great. I had better, homemade, pita bread before, but I loved the rice Decent prices, also for Greek beer, and a very friendly and attentive waiters made it 2 perfect evenings.

For vegetable and meat lovers this restaurant was so good. I had a sampler of meat dishes - stuffed bell pepper, cabbage rolls, stuffed squash with a salad with yogurt and bread and my husband had meat moussaka. EVERY thing was so tasty except the bread was average but we will return. It is hard to find a good restaurant like this one.

The food was amazing. My family and I usually love Albasha. Today, however, has was horrible. Walked in and was seated immediately, but the waitress tended to other tables before even speaking to us. Didn’t say a word when she placed the plates and utensils. We had to wait 10 minutes for her to ask us what we wanted to drink, and even then it was very rushed. A man came to take our order, he was very impatient and looked like he didn’t want us there. He rushed us through our entire order, and he checked on so many other tables around us (skipped over our table). He didn’t speak to us until it was time for the check. We were black and the other customers were not. We’d recommend you to go to any other Baton Rouge location, this not so subtle racism is not it…

I ordered the chicken shawarma plate light. The rice and hummus were delicious, but the chicken was very dry. The pita bread was all so good.

Stayed at the Homewood nearby and wanted something casual and tasty. The food was excellent and plentiful. Service was spot on - checking back on occasion always with a smile.

This Price-quality relationship is hard to find. Food was amazing and the waitress was very kind and fast.

We tried several menu items and enjoyed all of them. We cleared all plates. I ordered a Vegetarian Platter. My nephew got falafel and this loaded hummus appetizer. My kids loved the grape leaves and gyro. We were greeted upon walking in and taken to our table. The hostess was very friendly. Our server came almost immediately, greeted us, and was attentive and kind throughout. We had drinks in no time. Our food came out in a very acceptable amount of time. The prices for what you get are great. Delicious and we would definitely return.

Food was good. Rice was pretty bland. Prices for food were great. Alcohol prices were high. Margarita was OK but not worth the price. Quiet subtle atmosphere.

Food is delicious but the portions at this location are smaller. I love the Bluebonnet location best. Larger portions and they don't put the salad on the main dinner plate to fill up room.

Actually surprisingly really good food, it wasn't loud and the dinning expirence was really good. The gyro was very well flavored and personally my favorite thing to get off their menu. Prices are great. Would go again

Oh my goodness. Alabasha is our favorite restaurant to visit in Baton Rouge. The food "chef's kiss". Atmosphere is great. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
