Worked there but the manager never paid me. She also made me handle customers who were upset. She hung up on them twice. I assume it is because she couldn’t speak English nor the other server but she was lazy. Still never paid.

Went here on 10/8/23 at 6:45 pm (their evening hours were from 5-9 pm). We were the only ones there from 6:45-8:45 pm!!! Place was clean, orderly, and had some decorations. Appeared to be only 2 women working (sisters?); one in the front and one in the kitchen. Only saw the one in the kitchen for a brief second. The one that sat and served us had a very grumpy demeanor, was short with us, and couldn't communicate with us very well. They have a limited menu and yet, were still out of many things (e.g., bratwurst). Food was pretty good, but the prices were high. They were playing country music instead of German music!!! Will not be returning!

Have been here many times and usually a pretty good bet. As it’s out of season we expect these smaller places to be slow. The last 2 times here we were the only table. Hopefully it’s not the death signal. Wiener Schnitzel was very good. Farmer’s potatoes also good despite being cold. Cabbage ok but it too was cold. Problem was the Svieckova Dinner. Portion was tiny. Like 2 thin slices of beef. It couldn’t be cut with a fork and barely with a knife. After working up a sweat I was able to take a small bite and as expected couldn’t chew it. Tried to explain the waitress but due to language barrier explaining was difficult. She did bring a replacement (she wasn’t happy about it) the results were the same. Pretty obvious the meat had not been prepared properly and it had not been cooked nearly long enough. I think they probably knew of the problem as the meat was covered in a bucket of the golden gravy. As I’ve had this dish at lest 50 times in past 5 years I know what it should be and what it was. I’m hoping the new chef and owners get the quality issues figured out as thus was one of the better European restaurants in town.

Seriously? I have no clue how this place is still in operation. Zero ambiance. Service was awful. Food was bland and flavorless. It was empty and the service still sucked. Ugh. A disgrace. Please. Someone but this place and turn it into something. Anything. Cuz what it is now is a big fat ZERO.

The place was empty except for myself and one other customer at 5:10 p.m. Quiet as a library, no music to help with the emptiness. Lime green seat cushions paired with white tablecloth and a bewildering amount of blue and red fabric strewn across each table. Selected the brat dish that came with mashed potatoes and something appearing to be sauteed onions. Oily and no flavor. Mashed potatoes, without flavor. Not even the brats could save the rest of the plate. Server did not check back in, even to refill the water. And gave me a visibly disappointed look when I refuse to order dessert. I honestly cannot understand how this restaurant has such a high review. My impression of Alpine, is that of a business that no longer cares. Saddened that they could not bring something unique to The Culinary landscape of Naples Florida.

Don’t recommended!! The food is absolutely horrible. After the food I felt like I wanted to vomit and felt super nauseous. The water is directly from the sink and disgusting. Some of the food felt expired. There is no hot tea,apple juice or anything besides wine and water.

My wife is currently pregnant. She was craving crepes and we were looking online for places that had them. Went in and there was about 10 people having dinner. There was only one staff member as the hostess as the waitress and as the busser. It took almost an hour to get our food. I had orderd the crepes to go and when I got them the strawberries looked very old and the blueberries looked like raisins and i did not even receive utensils. I went back and I told the waitress about it and she looked like she was very confused and just said sorry, sorry. Then the owner came out and tried to check with the kitchen to see if they had fresh strawberries and he said that's all they had. We Ended up throwing them away and went to IHOP..

First and last time there. One person on floor, hostess, server, etc. We ordered glass of wine, server got bottle to open and was standing there talking to the customer waiting for her takeout. Then she poured the wine and again stood at the counter once again talking to the woman. (Remember, she’s the only one there.). The food was tolerable at best. Wife asked for the apple strudel, they didn’t have any. TRUST ME go to McDonalds.

My server was fantastic. The food was awesome. The desserts were authentic. The potato pancakes were very salty though. We ordered them to take home after our meal but had to throw them out. Just avoid those. Everything else was stellar.

Lovely Eastern European restaurant tucked away at Vanderbilt Shoppes in Naples. Also very reasonably priced with large portions. A hidden gem!

Food was very good and server was pleasant. There were serious staffing issues which led to overall service problems. The only waitress took orders, ran the bar, served the food, bussed the tables and brought the check.

Entrees came before we finished appetizers. Soups were good, entrees so so. Dessert was good. Server tried but didn't know the dishes well when asked how they were prepared.

We love Naples and a good ole style eastern European restaurant. We definitely hit up Alpine, great location, delicious food, family owned and loved! And affordable, finally in Naples! Check out their crepes and sandwiches!

Took over 15m of being seated to get a drink order and over an hour to order dinner. Seems like new owners and they need to look at how things are being run out front. Food was just average and there ar better choices for Eastern European food in Naples.

Cute restaurant inside, but it can get noisy if it is crowded. The chair heights are too high causing back strain during dinner. I ordered the duck which was just OK. It was barely warm and really not flavorful and kind of dry. It was a slow night. There was only one server and she could not keep up so service was lacking. I would not return.

Service could not be worse. They took our food order and I had to ask whether they had drinks at the restaurant. She looked confused. I was literally asking if they serve any drinks because we were not asked. Had to go get our check and bring it back or we would still be there. Only like 5 other people in the whole place. Not sure how you can be this clueless running a restaurant.

This place is not up to Naples standards, do not waste an opportunity to dine out by choosing this place. Beverage choices are poor, and not well stocked, our server did not speak english or german and seemed bothered by having to serve us. There is no entre priced under $24.95 and for the service and ambiance is not worth the experience.

It takes very long the staff is over demands. The boss is his best customer at the counter

I would not recommend this restaurant. The menu had about 4 items on lt and all were pork cutlets. The wait staff had a language problem. I ordered pino grigio and they brought a red wine and said it was pino grigio. Someone else came over to clarify. Overall this dining experience was a disaster. It took about two hours to get the whole meal together.

Good chicken paprikas and pork schnitzel. Service was good. Very reasonable prices.

Food was very good. My partner especially enjoyed the homemade salad dressing. The schnitzel had a great flavor, and the red cabbage was delicious. There was some issue with communication with our waitress. My partner had a beer, then asked for a glass of red wine. The waitress brought him another beer instead. We also had to point to the menu to order.

The menu of available entrees did not include most of the items on the website menu. None of the things I had come to try were available.

Our group of four all had schnitzels and they were great!

The last time I was there it was fantastic! I called last week to find out that they were closing... Keep a look out on their web page to see when, where and if they reopen! I sure hope so!!!

The special of the month was duck that melted in your mouth. The owner was very happy and fun to talk to. Prices were very reasonable for great food and service.

30 minutes for drink order. It was wrong. 1 hour 45 minutes for food to come out. That’s when we finally got water. Waitress asked us at one hour if we ate. We said, no food yet. Never got bread either. Food was pretty good. Won’t be coming back. They ruined our evening.

This neighborhood favorite continues to please. The homemade Eastern European food is delightful, especially the schnitzel and spaetzel.

I would call this restaurant a diamond in the rough. When we arrived on Sunday for dinner the restaurant had inside and outdoor diners. Unfortunately there was only one waitress doing all the tables. I have to say she was amazing making sure everyone was well taken care of. The restaurant is nothing fancy but the food is excellent if your looking for a good meal. Ordered a bottle of wine from a short wine list which worked out fine. Definitely worth a try.

The food was 5 star. Authentic and tasteful. The meats were carefully cooked and tender The sides were exactly as I remember my grandmother making them - sweetened cucumbers snd warm red cabbage. However, the wait time for dinner was so extreme, I would hesitate to return. I kind of disregarded the slowness complaint when reading past reviews. And the slowness issue goes all the way back to 6 years ago - this isn’t a new complaint.The wait staff was pleasant and served what they could when it was ready. But there is apparently only one very talented cook in the back. A 60 minute wait for a simple meal for 4 people in a non crowded restaurant is just too long. If you have the time to wait - the food is great.

Good european food, but not at all professional service. We left after the waiter, let us wait, serving other people who came after us. They lost our business.

Love the food but the service was slow. We didn’t pressure her but that made the dining experience not enjoyable. We wanted to have dessert but never got an opportunity to asked plus the waitress was stressed because she had too many customers. They need to hire another waiter.

We were seated outside even though I had made a reservation several days ahead. Waitress did seat us inside after 1/2 hour when someone left. Seemed like they were short-staffed and 2 waitresses were working very hard. Food was delicious.

My son in law is Slovakian. When he comes to visit he loves going here for his favorite Slovakian meals. Everyone really enjoyed their dinners. Service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back.

Amazing. Everything we ordered tasted fantastic. Meat was so tender and flavorful. Marlenka was really airy and sweet. Definitely worth the slow service.

The food was very good and full of flavor. The service, however, was extremely slow, but very nice and cordial. We waited about 15 minutes for a drink. And had to walk up to the register to get our bill and pay. I may go again because the food was good, but I won't expect the service to be much better.

Excellent food, great value for your money! The portions were abundant, and very tasty. Our server was efficient, friendly without being obtrusive, and quite knowledgeable about the menu. I’d highly recommend this place! Authentic food, great ambiance!

The pea soup was outstanding and hearty. My Jager schnitzel mit spätzle was excellent. Pork cutlet pounded thin and breaded perfectly. The braised cabbage was tasty. The strudel was not so good. Soggy with way too much cinnamon. Not to mention copious amounts of sugary whipped cream.

Beautiful clean restaurant. Quiet and relaxing with excellent food..

We had their daily special: a roasted duck with red cabbage, stuffing and dumplings (my wife) or Spätzle (me). The duck was tender with the meat easily separating from the bone. We topped it with a Strudel and plum pastry. Excellent all around!

As this was our first visit to Alpine we were very pleasantly surprised. The food and service were authentic and enjoyable. Will definitely be returning.

This has been my go-to restaurant for lunch after arrival at RSW or ahead of departure, depending on my flight schedule. Since the last time I was here was the summer of 2018, could not get there fast enough for lunch. Not much had changed, other than Alex I heard moved back to Europe so, it Looks like Eva is running the show on her own. Our order included Slovak Schnitzel ($17.50) – breaded pork loin and mashed potatoes (or Farmers potatoes). Served with sweet and sour cucumber salad, and Classic Goulash ($18.50) - Generous portion of beef and pork, blended in tender vegetables, paprika, tomatoes and authentic seasonings, with mashed potatoes (or steamed dumplings or homemade Spätzle). What I liked: - The flavor of the goulash sauce and tenderness of the meat - The Farmers potatoes were very good and had plenty of bacon pieces - The cucumber salad is always very good What I Did Not Like: - There was no generous portion amount of beef and pork in the Goulash. For the price point it was disappointing - The schnitzel, for the first time had a puffy outer coating that separated from the pork. This happens sometimes because there is excess flour which creates a coating that prevents the mixture from latching on. - Service was not very attentive. We saw potential patrons walk I, wait and then walk out because they were not greeted in a timely manner.

We really enjoyed the salad. The dinners were good - dessert was OK. We would have liked cloth rather than paper napkins but the service was fine.

This is my favorite restaurant and I stop by every time I am in town. I had a privilege to grow up with a Food and I love it. This type of food you will find in Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary and Austria.

Quiet little gem in Naples. If you like German food this is the place to go. Food was wonderful and the gal who serviced us was friendly. Can’t say enough about how nice it was to eat at pleasant atmosphere . We will be back!

Come once a month or so in season. Food is excellent and authentic a German. I especially love the Farmer potatoes and the mushroom sauce that comes with the Jäegermeister schnitzel. Exceptional as always!

Great, tasty German food, charming place, you can eat inside, outside or Togo. (I really appreciate the way the package their To-go orders) I am there once or twice a month. Clean bathroom.

We arrived on time for our reservation. Seated by some guy who never said a word. After that sat for 20 minutes. Then we got up and left. All the reviews were accurate. Horrible service! Other restaurants deserve our money.

PSA for owner(s): Please get new chairs in the dining room! VERY uncomfortable especially for customers with back issues. Also, food quality is inconsistent. 1 time it was outstanding - 1 time it was lackluster on top of poor service. Thank you.

Looking for delicious German/ eastern European food in a quiet, pleasant atmosphere that could be in a small burg of Bavaria? Look no further than Alpine Restaraunt in Naples. We've been there twice now and had great meals both times. You won't be disappointed with any of the versions of the schnitzel. Last visit I had the chicken paprikas - really good and with the homemade spatulas of course. My wife is gluten free so the menu is not ideal but the alpine chicken schnitzel has become her favorite - I think she could eat it once a week! Don't be in a rush when you come here. Other reviews have mentioned that the restaurant seems to be understaffed. While we have no complaints about our service both visits, I could see where staffing could be an issue on a busy evening in the height of season. But for that concern, this would be a five star review based largely on the quality of the meal and the value.

Such a hidden gem! Very authentic German food. The cabbage soup was delicious, reminded me of my BaBa’s cooking. Only suggestion would be improving the selection of desserts. Our waitress was very attentive and personable.

We switched to a table of 12 last minute- Food was fabulous- Service was wonderful and everyone in our group was very happy! We will be back!

I purchased a large bowl of soup but received only a cup. Two bread slices were maybe 5 mm each. I emailed the restaurant sharing my experience but my email was not answered. I don't recommend this place for a soup and bread lunch or light dinner. As a vegan, my food options at this restaurant are very limited. The garlic and potato soup was my only warm meal available for purchase but it was such a tiny amount that I went to Whole Foods and ate there after leaving Alpine restaurant in Naples.

The waitress had way too many tables to service. In spite of that she did a great job.

Enjoyed eating such delicious German food. Wienerschnitzel and red cabbage were perfectly made. Felt a little bit like we were in Austria with the wooden chairs and tables. Disappointed the strudel wasn’t available as it was so delicious last time we ate at Alpine. Server was always smiling but could have used more help. Will go back again next season when we return.

Hidden gem! First time trying and absolutely love it. Wife and I had chicken soup, chicken paprikish (sp), and house salad. Very fresh! Will be coming back!!
