I don't really care for Mexican food, but I love the food here. They are great at changing up the dish to fit your requests!

We visited on a Friday evening. This restaurant is inside a hotel. Parking is free, I love to see it. We were greeted immediately and sat, but the table was so small, we definitely couldn't order multiple items for the table at once. My drink was pretty good, I had the coconut margarita and surprisingly it wasn't overly sweet. I ordered the mix and match tacos which includes 3 tacos of your choice with black beans and rice.......those black beans were the real star. The portion sizes were nice. There was a mix up with one of my tacos, but overall it was a good experience. The decor is along the theme of Dìas de Los Muertos, but the chairs are metal and not very comfortable. If you're in the area, check this place out.

This has been one of our go to spots for dinner on Friday night. The food is good and the prices are fair. If you can, sit at the bar; Shannon is great, and will take care of you.

This is a catracha in the bar who is a thief. I went there for the first time. She charged me 65 for the price of beer and the owner doesn't know anything. They are thieves. They are people. Crafty, especially an older woman who works at the bar, be careful, she is a thief, she charges double everything that is required by the ordinance, and it is worth it to the owner, I already went through that. Don't loose your money on this bar the waitresses take you your money and you don't see where is going they wait until your drunk to take your money this happened to my and ones I told the owner he didn't do anything don't loose your money on this bar they charge you double

This is a little known gem at Arundel Mills! The food and service were excellent. Give it a chance. We had the chicken bowl, three taco’s and nacho’s.

Not at all... Not particularly good food. Terrible wine (of course you don't go to a place like this with high expectations but at least minimal....) problem with credit cards, had to pay in cash. Not recommended

This place really impressed me. I was looking for casual Mexican food and I figured a hotel restaurant one would be a decent place to settle. I sat at the bar and got the Ceviche Special, Street Corn, and a Steak Wet Burrito and all I can say is there was no food left on any of the plates. Definitely recommend. Will be back for more.

The food was good. The bartender wasn't attentive to new people sitting at the bar.

Really fun atmosphere, bar, and drink menu. I wish they would lean into a mocktail menu, as well, since they make so many fun drinks. We all should be able to partake! The chips and salsa are the star, in my opinion. The salsa is incredible. The tacos I had were good - carnitas, Greek & mushroom. Street corn is bomb. Service was OK both nights I was there as they were short staffed. Servers were very nice though and took time to suggest great drink options. Great place for a date night!

Pedro was an incredible waiter when my family and I came to Cantina. The food was delicious and Pedro went above and beyond to make sure our family was taken care of. Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. My family and I come back because of the amazing customer service from the waiters. We love the wet burrito, bar nachos, fajitas, fish tacos and the chips and salsa are the best! Our waiter Dave in the past was also amazing! This place has quickly become our favorite restaurant for family and friends. The drinks are delicious too!

This place has it all! From tequila flights to mariachi bands.

This place is a nice attempt at a Mexican restaurant. The food seems as though it will be consistent every time you order it. Unfortunately, consistency is where flavor goes to die. These dishes, while well prepared, fell flat when it comes to flavor. The service was okay. I came into the restaurant and was not greeted, so I looked for my own table, unaware that the host had stepped away. Waitress was nice but seemed to be spread too thin amongst all of the guests. I received my food promptly, but after I was done, it took 20 minutes before I decided to leave my table for the check. Waitress also did the mental list when taking our order and ended up forgetting to bring something. Which we decided not to correct. The salsa tasted like marinara sauce and was sweet. I'd say too many tomatoes and not enough spicy peppers. Throw in a bit of cilantro. Green sauce on the wet burrito was completely sweet and did not compliment the burrito whose ingredients seemed to have been picked out of a hat. I probably will not be visiting again.

The restaurant isn't to big. The food was very good.

WOW! I didn't even get to try the food at this restaurant but I called to ask a simple question and the owner, Matt Santeramo, or however you spell the last name, he spelled it so fast I could barely catch up... was SOOO rude. I love it when I can save my money and time. Thank you, Matt! I truly appreciate it. :)

Be prepared to wait 20+ minutes for bar drinks, and 20+ minutes for chip and salsa refills. The drinks and food are overpriced for the servings they provide. The food comes out fairly quickly, but be prepared to send it back bc it’ll be like warm or cold. Be prepared to ask for straws and napkins and never receive them and have to get them yourself from the bar. Be prepared to wait 30 minutes for a cup of ice bc they will give you room temp tap water. And don’t you dare go to celebrate with friends or family and there be more than 5 of you in a group, because they won’t disclose that you cannot do separate checks and will force you to put everything on up to 2 cards. They won’t mention the inability to split checks or the automatic 18% gratuity until the end when it’s time to pay when you didn’t receive 18% gratuity type SERVICE. Our table felt neglected and disrespected by one of the servers there (not ours, ours was pretty nice but was obviously overwhelmed when the place is 1/2 the size of the average restaurant and seemed fully staffed). Poor management. Be prepared for SALTY guacamole. Be prepared for UNDERCOOKED rice. Be prepared for BLAND beans. The ONLY good part about the experience overall were the street corn, plantain, and enchiladas. Those items were pretty yummy. But certainly not worth another visit due to the chaotic, unprofessional and inconsiderate experience me and my group had.

Great food, atmosphere and service. Had dinner here with my wife one evening and we were very pleased with this food establishment. I had the Wet Burrito w/ Steak, Black Beans & Rice and Plantains. All were delicious. The serving staff was friendly and accommodating and the place was very lively.

Came here on a whim because it popped up on Google while driving. SO GLAD we drove here! The Pozole is AMAZING. Had that, the guac, and the birria ramen. All were very deli. I would suggest the change the noodle in the ramen (it's more angel hair than ramen) but other than that, I was pleasantly surprised and stuffed. Would definitely return again.

I drove all the way from VA just to try this place I seen on IG and it was well worth the drive!! Everything was 10/10 ! The short rib empanadas had this amazing cheese pull, the queso was unique and great not like every other queso you get out. I wanted to try everything on the menu but went with the taco tasting trio, I love that as the option because you can pick one of each to try and they have so many bomb options. Pictured is the nashville hot chicken, korean bbq and stuffed jalepeno. All were phenomenal!! The margaritas are *chefs kiss*! It was a little bit on the pricer said which is typical for restaurants in hotels but I will definitely be returning to try the ramen and pizza birria!!

Such a vibe. The decor and the ambiance is delightful. I sat at the bar and Jamaal was so attentive. His margaritas are to die for!!! The empanadas were amazing, the flavor of the short rib exceeded my expectations. I definitely will be back for dinner. Thank you Anejo.

The decor is festive. The music is lovely but a tad bit too loud along with the noise level of the guests. The service was initially horrible. We sat for about 15 minutes before a server brought us water. We asked one of the employees to have someone come over to our table. The food was good. The Mexican street corn was a little too salty but everything else was delicious.

Atmosphere and serrvice were nice. Food was just ok. The chips and salsa were good and very fresh. . The queso was very runny and didn't have much flavor. And the frozen Margheritas were pre-made, which I didn't like. And they didn't have Pina coladas! My friends got steak fajitas and they said the steak was too dry. We also got street corn, which was pretty good.

In all my decades of dining out and reviewing establishments, I have handed out a 1 star rating possibly less than 5 times. This place only even deserves 1 star due to its decent ambiance. The service is the worst I have seen in the restaurant industry, in any state, by far. You are only greeted if the server or bartender deems it so. Racist server in the establishment as well. No thanks. 🤣

Understaffed (we went on a Thursday evening), but otherwise we had a great time. Food was solid Mexican fare and was priced reasonably.

This place never disappoints. We drive over 30 minutes and pass 2 other neighborhood Mexican restaurants to come here. For me there are certain items that have to be perfect at my fav Mexican restaurant and the two most important are the house made chips and salsa and the rice and beans and they nailed both. The service is always top notch (Thanks Sys) and management is on point!

I visit here everytime I'm in town for work. Great atmosphere, service and food. The salmon dish with mango salsa is delicious!

The food is bland and tasteless — don’t hold your breath for solid customer service. Life advice, find another Mexican restaurant in the area.

Service was not great. Guacamole was good, but chicken quesadilla was mostly cheese, I would not order it again.

The drink I got was the coconut. I am not usually a drinker but it was so delicious. The food was excellent. You get plenty for your money. You get chips and salsa at the beginning which are delicious as well. Highly recommend if in the area. You get your food pretty fast.

Service is still amazing, just wish they didn't change from Vivo to Anejo. The food is good, but it's expensive

We were waiting for our party to finish up a wedding rehearsal upstairs so I stopped in with my 2 daughters (aged 7 and 8). The server was inviting and cool with the fact that we were just grabbing some beverages and eating the free chips. While we didn't eat anything off of the menu, the food passing by the table looked amazing!

Be aware that the Happy Hour prices are only available at the bar.

This place has great decor and a great vibe. The coconut margarita and the chips and salsa are good…. But that’s it. The menu lacks tasty options and variety. It’s very unfortunate. If they changed to a healthy Mexican menu vibe with some more traditional versions and perfected that, it would be the best restaurant in town. Change the menu! Keep the vibe 🙏🏼

The smell is terrible like a mix between strong perfumeand and a menstral cycle. I could not eat here. Also the chips and salsa was below average.

I've been here a couple of times for lunch on weekdays. It's not crowded and the staff is great. I love the fresh chips and salsa that are served at the beginning. The red chili rubbed organic salmon was cooked just right. Located on the first floor, free parking garage and handicap accessible.

The food was delicious! Shrimp taco's were some of the best. Birria taco's were tasty and the street corn was amazing!! No complaints on the food. Service could have been better. I could tell they were short staffed but honestly most places are these days. Communicating with us about the wait would have been better then not hearing anything for 30 mins and seeing the staffing issues myself. Apologize and explain to your customers because most of us will understand.

Food was very good. Atmosphere is still very nice after switching over from the old restaurant. Jamal is a great bartender and server! We hadn't been in awhile since Vivo's closed...but we finally returned, and we will be back!

The food was good, but the bar and vibe is really a reason to go.

Ugh I hate putting bad reviews LOL. This is what you all need to hear though! So . For starters I cannot drink alcohol right now but my friends all loved their drinks !!! I had a virgin drink that was also tasty but they don’t have much on their menu to cater to non drinkers. Waiter super nice, atmosphere is super authentic good vibes, now for the food …………..the appetizer empanada was the best thing we tried!!! All of us had different dishes and had the same issues, bland not seasoned well and rice was hard and not fresh!! Such a bummer man. I ordered the birria tacos and they truly looked amazing !!! But literally tasted like nothing, I ended up taking them home and just throwing it out. They had this steak bowl you could create that my partner loved but he likes his food bland he only ordered white rice steak and cheese in it LOL. Needless to say if you want authentic flavor it is NOT here, enjoy the drinks and vibes tho! Try the appetizers lol

Food was great, service was great, atmosphere was decent. My only issue is the price of food. Definitely higher on the price spectrum for tacos. Happy hour deals make it worth it though.

My son and I ate here and loved the food! We both enjoy good Mexican cuisine. Our go-to in Virginia Beach is Jose Tequila or Plaza Azteca. The salsa at the aforementioned restaurants is what I consider typical salsa, good but standard issue. However, the salsa at Anejo Rose was pleasantly unique. It had a good amount of flavor but not too spicy. It had a hint (very mild hint) of tomato paste type sweetness, in my opinion. The chips were somewhat unique as well, having a little bit of seasoning on them. I'm not able to describe the taste of the seasoning, though, but it was definitely a plus for us. The appetizer was AMAZING (taquito egg rolls), as were our main dishes of Carnitas Taco's De La Casa and Carne Asada. I had two margaritas, which were mixed extremely well and made with vodka per my request (no issues with that request), but they were small. The only downsides from our experience were the wait time between receiving our appetizer and placing our main course order, as well as the lack of comfort sitting in the chairs at the high top tables.

Good food and even better drinks! Location is nice. I would definitely go back.

Someone in National Harbor’s Rosa Mexicano. Recommended Añejo Rose to us, so we decided to make the trip here. The decor and atmosphere inside is great. It's smaller than I anticipated but it has a bar with TVs to watch sports. We were sited immediately and served chips and salsa. The chips are well seasoned and the salsa was flavorful so I was excited for the entrée expecting it to be wonderful. The Nacos with beef are enormous and awsome combination of flavors. The Birria empanadas are a splendid choice their Tortilla Chicken soup is frankly from Mexico. Will definitely recommend this awsome little treasure.

First time here. The food from appetizers and drinks to dinner was amazingly good. We will definitely come back. Service was outstanding and a great atmosphere!

Barbacoa enchiladas looked five star but barely tasted four star, had almost no beef in it and what was there. There couldn't be taste under the amount of cheese and sauce on top which was just okay. Definitely looking for something else if I visit again

Love the Cadillac drink! Everyone loved thier food and drinks!

The food was fine but overpriced for what you get. I ordered the steak tacos and it was two tiny street tacos for $14. Beans and rice would be another $6. In most other restaurants, a street taco will cost about four dollars each. The drinks were good but again, expensive at 14-16 dollars a drink. I don't see myself returning here.

The overall atmosphere was pretty good. There was a good vibe in this place. With an open kitchen, you can tell that the staff seemed happy doing what they were doing. The food was good. I had the Baja tacos, which were great! The fish was perfectly fried and extremely moist. The rice and black beans were also really good. My friend had the wet burrito for the main course. Which she said was also great. Guacamole was something special. It was definitely not a lie when they said it's made to order it was extremely fresh, nothing old, or pre made about it.

First time eating here... the food was delicious but a little spicy for my taste! It's the perfect restaurant for drinks and munchies!
