It was 1030pm on a Sunday night... but it said it was open. I didn't think it would be open but it was. Parking was tough so we parked on a sidestreet down a hill next to an abandoned looking industrial building with lights on and movement in some of the windows. It looked like it was out of a Scooby Doo episode if you know what I mean. Once we got to the bar I realized the place was awesome. About 30 beers on tap and a ton of cans to pick from. They had free video and board games and a simple menu of snacks. I've never had mead, but I had an orange creamsicle one and a prickly pear style. Both great. Good thing they had pretzels that stuff sneaks up on you. Great place to hang out.

This is a great bar with a large selection of beers on tap. A couple ciders. And a surprisingly large selection of Mead! I came for the mead! Happy either way the variety of at least 9 flavors. Food is very limited. Just snacks and sometimes one food item. Like taco Tuesday. But it’s a bar. Not a restaurant. I like the atmosphere. Came here twice and all the bartenders are cool.

Visited during a business trip. Cozied up to the bar where the young lady helping was super knowledgeable on the beer menu and made solid recommendations for a flight that I thouroughly enjoyed. Sports on the tele...music not too loud. A great experience. Keep up the good work!!

Great place to try local and foreign beers. Trivia night on Wednesday. Chill and low key atmosphere. Dogs welcome.

Dependable rotation of good craft beer selections. Definitely my favorite place in town for beer. I wish they stocked more high abv beers (rare recently). I also ~fermly~ believe beers under 7% abv should come in pints.

Such a good chill place to go in Tallahassee. Our bartender tonight (didn’t catch his name but he had red hair) went above and beyond, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to coming back!!

This little place has a surprisingly large number of taps as well as canned beers. We enjoyed the retro atmosphere and music. It has a 60s/70s vibe. Bartender was cool and helped us find the right beer and cider to suit our tastes. It is located in a cute neighborhood.

Plenty of options to choose from and the bartenders were really helpful.

Such a cool place! Multiple areas to relax and enjoy a conversation. I love that I get to taste a draft before selecting. Quick service and cool crowd. Get a flight to sample Multiple options! There are games inside and outside. Parking is slim.

Great beer and fabulous service!

I was in on a slow weeknight and traveling out of state working. Glad I found this place. Pork tacos were legit. Beer selection was great. Selfishly, I like slow nights. I get the bartender all to myself. An evening of Taco's, Beer, and Metal conversing. (Thanks to the dude in the Arsis shirt 🤘🏻) Go here!

Overall really enjoy the place. Parking is rough but it's worth it. Good drinks and really great atmosphere. Service is fine but I'm not looking for friends or servants at establishments so my standards are low lol. Place is clean, and the bathroom specifically is clean, stocked and gender neutral (by default - there is only one - but I like to mention that in my review of places for my fellow transgender folks). The food is fine. It's bar snacks. The stuff we've had isn't anything particularly special but it's relatively cheap and not a bad snack to have on your stomach with the drinks. They don't try to hype it up or anything, so as long as you have the right expectations you should be fine. The main thing is the drink selection and they're doing great on that.

Really cute place with a ton of nice selections for both draft and canned/bottled. It's small on the inside but there's outside seating, too!

Great staff. Very knowledgeable about their products. Always willing to give recommendations based on your personal tastes! Service is always fast. Great options. My favorite are their hard ciders. Prices are fair. Great indoor and outdoor seating. Bathroom is clean and easily accessible. Favorite place in Tallahassee to get drinks!

Whoever the female bar tender was, she was horrible. More interested in talking and hanging out than serving guest. Was extremely rude when asked for service with a sassy, entitled attitude. Typical college brat.The other servers were cool though.

Diverse tap list, 24 of them! Boutique-ish space (not just another beer hall). I recommend it highly to all who appreciate good beer.

Where to begin! The beers here are always stellar and they have such a variety! The bartender's are all very knowledgeable and that's super helpful. And wonderful because there are so many beers to pick from. I love the darker style of lighting inside. Not to worry there is outside seating available too. And when you order your beer upfront you will notice a food menu. Delicious food here y'all! Taco Tuesday is a must! They have veggie and meat options. Take away beers are a thing, if that is your thing. And they usually have some food or beer special/activity for the day. P.s. bring a beer sticker to put up on the wall.

I can't believe I had not been here before! I chalk it up to being in College Town and I don't live near there not do I usually want to drive. But I was pleasantly surprised by their tap selection. Cool atmosphere too. Will return.

The tacos are good. The beer selection is vast. They just happened to have only one beer I was interested in. I'd enjoy coming back.

Fermentation Lounge is one of my favorite lounges in the states. They have a wide variety of ciders, sours and meads. I strongly recommend visiting the lounge not just for the great drinks but also for the amazing customer service.

Amazing hospitality from Riley and Julie. Chill atmosphere, plethora of beer choices, and delicious bar bites. You won't be disappointed stopping in here.

Super unique beer lounge with crazy variety, and fantastic service. I highly recommend going in and taking your time to select delicious beers, meads, and ciders in a funky and fun atmosphere. To-go beers are 50% off, and we definitely took advantage!

Nice place to go for a socially distant beer

I went around 9:30 on a Saturday night and it still wasn't too crowded. The fermentation lounge has a great casual vibe and a good selection of beer on draft including sours which are my favorite but unfortunately hard to find in Tallahassee. They have several tables out front that are decently spaced out, which was nice for meeting with friends while maintaining some social distancing from strangers.

I've enjoyed my multiple visits to the Fermentation Lounge but will never return because on my last visit the bar tender refused to allow us to close out our tab because they were "closed." They kept my credit card overnight and I had to return the next day to for it. The manager there said he's not sure why the young lady said that and she should have been able to close out the tab that night.

Despite the fact that the bar is small, you can eat delicious food here and relax with a glass of your favorite drink. Fast service and great prices are also an advantage of this place.

One of my favorite spots we discovered during our weekend in Tally, and we'll definitely go back! Tons of beer, flights were reasonably priced, and the bartender was awesome and friendly. Love the board/card games they offer too.

What a FANTASTIC little, neighborhood bar. Beers selections are amazing, the meade, yes hot meade, was yummy. Bring a game! We played mahjong. The place is a little hard to find in Tallahassee, but worth it. Need something sweet with your beer or wine? There is a unique ice cream place right next door. Fermentation is laid back and everyone is friendly. Am I allowed to say the bartender girl was extremely cute? Nice to everyone.

If you are looking for a place to enjoy an adult beverage and have a pleasant conversation with friends without interruptions this is a great place for you. Wonderful date spot conveniently located away from the typical noise and foot traffic of downtown

I didn't actually hang out in the bar itself. The was a bottle share charity event and that was just awesome. The atmosphere of the area is really rad. Outdoor seating is great. I'm looking forward to more evenings of drinking beer especially once they release their own beer.

Just off the main road Fermentation gives you a huge selection of unique craft beer in a cozy and yet fun environment. They work hard to support not just craft brewers, but the local community as well. Their bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. They also have some great finger food options.

By far my favorite spot to just hang out in tally. Beers are great and the atmosphere is always dope. They have all kinds of table games and the staff is always real nice to me. 10/10 you will love this place (unless you are looking for a "club". This is not that)

Millennial version of the hole in the wall neighborhood pub. Tons of craft beers on tap, as well as wine and mead. Cheese board was delicious but what made the visit was the incredible hospitality of the bartender Caesar. A must if you're in Tallahassee and appreciate good beer and better company.

Love the menus! They're informative and a casual drinker won't be overwhelmed by names without description. Good atmosphere for catching up over drinks!
