Best food, bbq, you will ever eat anywhere!!!

6 Stars! Ribs were very delicious with the hot BBQ sauce. Sides of potato salad, baked beans and cole slaw were excellent. Fast and friendly service with very clean food truck. Tremendous value.

I was starving and exhausted after biking about halfway across town for work when I found this place. Did not expect to find the best BBQ in town. I had BBQ chicken and fries with a side of their regular BBQ sauce and I will absolutely be coming back to try more of their menu. The way the chicken fell off the bone almost brought a tear to my eye 😂 as a side note I'd like to say it still hit just as good when I reheated my leftovers later that evening.

That smoky flavor sure was there! Definitely get that rib dinner with the sweet sauce on Fri-Sun and you'll be set!

This is my to-go to bbq spot in tally, from what I see it’s managed by 2 people, who are both awesome and very good people. Only complaints I would have is that they work from a outside trailer, so you’ll have to deal with whatever type of weather that’s ongoing. They do good very good business, so at times it’ll be a long waiting to order, and that you’ll have to wait to receive your food. If you’re a fan of bbq, and open to eating your food at home, I highly recommend giving this spot a chance, the only more local business that could even come close to this from my experience is the mann’s doghouse, but I don’t think they operate in tally anymore

My wife and I are in town from Ft. Lauderdale for the Canes and Noles game and we googled local bbq restaurants…And we went here and you guys were excellent in customer service and food quality.Keep up the great work and wishing and praying for your continued success 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

The best and I mean, THE BEST smoked ribs and chicken in town. Always my go to spot but yall have to fix that pay system. I waited for 15 mins for someone in front of me to pay for their food and couldn't take waiting any longer. Had to get back to work. Please fix this

I absolutely love this place. Definitely the best BBQ in the area, quite possibly the best BBQ anywhere, ever. I can never remember which kind of sauce to get, and when I take my first bite I always remember it is so good it doesn't even need sauce. Prices are amazing. The owners are always there and are kind, wonderful people. The smoked chicken is out of this world. We ordered our Thanksgiving turkey there last year, and my husband is constantly asking when we can get another one. Just ordered one for his birthday and we are so excited!!

Me and my kids love we started coming here over fourteen years ago when we lived in the neighborhood. Now that we have moved far out we still come at least twice a month the food is good the service is excellent and we enjoy it every time thank you from my family. We appreciate you guys ❤️

@Soul Food Sunday @ Smokin Lo' s beware ... Chaotic, and unorganized and horrible customer service. I called my order in at 2pm arrived at 2:20pm their was a long line of people waiting to place and pick an up an order. I left and decided to come back at 3pm when I was told they were sold out and hadn't even made my order, even though I had been standing there 15 minutes, what is worse a lady who was behind was just pickup her order over an hour later.... Avoid this place unless you don't mind waiting over 2 hours for your food or to be told they are sold out.

Great barbeque, best I've had in Tally. Yes you might have to wait because they are always busy, but you won't be disappointed. The price is very good.

This has been my go to for southern food. Ribs and catfish are the best.

Listen, call up your people and pull your grill out and have your own bbq. I promise you will get your food and eat before you will calling an hour & 1/2 ahead and ordering food from here. Seriously if you plan on eating from here call and place an order 3 business days ahead of time. Thats the only way you’ll get your food. Also if you do order from here bring your own BBQ sauce because this is a BBQ place that runs out of BBQ sauce. Seriously stay home and invite your ppl over and do your own thing

I've been coming to Tallahassee for 45 years and never tasted ribs as great as Smoking Lo's. We will share the news with family and look forward to next trip.

The ribs were good and tender. The fries were nice and hot. It may have been an isolated incident, but the chicken tasted like it made contact with lighter fluid.

Let me just start by saying this place comes so highly recommended by so many in town. I decided to finally stop by today, get lunch, and see for myself. Located on the side of the road on Tharpe St, in a bright red food trailer. You really can't miss it. Let's get back to it, so I got the Ribs and Chicken combo with Bake Beans. I also ordered another Rib dinner with fries, (2)Potatoe Salads, and Mac-N-Cheese. The total costs around about $33 but honestly not worth it taste wise. First, the side portions are bite size and taste bland almost straight out the package especially the beans. I dislike to give such a review; however, this place is very overhyped for some reason. I expected different but not this yet another disappointment.

The ribs and okra are wonderful. The chicken was a little dry. The service is great and friendly people running it.

Smokin' Lo's ribs are the best bite in Tallahassee. Consistently toothsome slabs, smoked perfectly, tender, not mushy, with a just the right amount of bark, and the hot sauce option is my go to always. The bbq chicken is quality too, and such a deal. My in-laws come for an annual visit and they always request these ribs.

I have been wanting to try Smokin’ Lo’s BBQ for awhile now & let me tell you…The food is AMAZING! My dad has been telling me about how tender & delicious their ribs are & he wasn’t lying! The best ribs I’ve had in a long time! Oh & don’t forget to add on dessert. I had a slice of the pound cake & baby listen, it didn’t even make it to my house. The pound cake was so moist & good that I ate it in my car! The portion sizes are great too & for a good price. I shared my plate with my family & still had plenty left for myself. Hands down, the BEST pound cake I have ever tasted. Everything just was great. The owner was very courteous & nice. He even had his son helping out a little bit so I love how family owned & operated it is. I will be back again, probably again tomorrow because the food was just that good!!! 10/10! I can definitely see this food truck being a restaurant one day because the food is the best.

Let me tell you guys about this little food truck/pit...it's Red and you can see it from the road I've been here before and I always get the ribs with honey barbecue sauce. And I always get something sweet no matter what it is it's always amazing,! Today I decided to try their sides... Macaroni and cheese to be exact. Apparently the macaroni and cheese is higher in price than their other side which I did not know until I got ready to pay. It might have said it on their menu which was posted on the front of it but it was typed out very small so maybe I just didn't see it 🤦🏽‍♀️ So I wind up getting two rib dinners for me and my daughter which came with two sides we decided on double macaroni and cheese...(remember I told you there was an upcharge for the Mac) I was expecting my bill to be around $29 but I was shocked when she said 39$! So I said this must be some good macaroni and cheese! You know for that price Let me just say this.. if you're going to get any sides definitely DON'T get the macaroni and cheese. If you are expecting homemade authentic macaroni and cheese it just was not giving that.😔 ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE! IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE SAME PRICE AS EVERYTHING ELSE IT WAS NOTHING REALLY SPECIAL ABOUT IT THE PORTION SIZE WAS EVEN SMALL. I also got the banana pudding and a slice of strawberry cake! Like I said the sweets are always amazing almost better than the ribs 😆 But this is a special place I think next time I'm going to try the chicken or maybe even a mullet sandwich 🤔 I think this place is definitely worth a try 🧡 I gave this place three stars but I would have gladly given it five stars if the macaroni and cheese tasted better.😮‍💨

Rib dinner totally worth it. If you drive down Tharpe st. Enough times with the windows open and you smell that smoker in the air eventually you gotta stop by and try them out and I recommend you do.

Ummm ummm ummm... First time for my boyfriend and I eating from this place!!! We ordered two rib dinners, banana pudding and pound cake... When I tell you EVERYTHING was sooo delicious... The ribs were very tender and the sauce was on point... Both deserts were very decadent and fulfilling... Could've been 5 stars but we didn't like the beans, they were bland and I loved the potatoe salad...

My first time was a great experience. Called it in and saw the crowd. Lo took care of us and I am a semi pro cooker and must admit these are the best pork ribs I've had. Be patient, show up early and try the sweet sauce. Thank you Mister Lo.

Some of the best bbq in Tallahassee. Limited menu and sides are but anything but filler, but the chicken and rib staples are amazing. Sauce selection is solid. Highly recommended, thigh be aware that you might find yourself over eating and experience the "meat sweats" for the first time.

My favorite BBQ in town. The food is excellent, the price is cheap, and the people are nice. My wife and I usually split the chicken + ribs combo for lunch, which is only about $12 after tax and is plenty of food for us to share with maybe a rib or wing leftover for a late-night snack.

Their prices are great, especially for the portions. They have 2 different BBQ sauces that are great on their own, but magical when combined. Holy smokes! We tried the ribs, the chicken, the beans, mac and cheese, cole slaw and potato salad. It was all delicious! Also, I love ribs but I couldn't finish the rib dinner as there a god awful lot. Also, no sauce. I mean, the sauce was delicious too but why mess with great ribs. We had the black velvet cake and banana puddin' for dessert. Yup. Also delicious. We have enough leftover for dinner or lunch tomorrow for what I'd have paid at a chain restaurant in town for a just a dinner out. This joint is legit.

This BBQ is delicious! 😋 The young lady that is helping with the orders is so pleasant. She always makes sure my order is correct and does it with a smile. Everything on the menu is delicious. He has a good variety of fresh food to choose from. There is catfish, mullet, pork chops, shrimp, chicken or sausage's. This is just some of the items he serves. Don't forget the desserts. You will not be disappointed.

OMG! If you like BBQ, look no further. It’s here, right here on Tharpe Street. This Dynamic Duo cook up some savory and sweet. Ribs and Chicken were awesome, beans delish and the cake a delightful finish to the meal. They have a lot more choices than just BBQ including catfish and wings. Approach the window, you’re flashed a beautiful smile and a friendly greeting, place your order, pay your bill and then sit back in one of the lawn chairs under the tent and wait for your order... your patience will be rewarded!

First time customer ordered the fried Turkey for Thanksgiving. Just to the cook that was the BEST fried Turkey it was juicy and moist will be ordering again. Also my thanks to the young lady who made the dressing you will be getting more reqquest everyone loved it.
