I love me some BBQ, especially the all you can eat pulled pork. Service was quick and food was on point.

It was a pickup order which I ordered online. Your ordering website has changed and it is far less user friendly in my opinion.

Was on the last day of family vacation and wanted to get something not too crazy. Found Sonny's to be tasty and adorable. We are a family of 7, so eating out can get pricy. We got the family feast, which consisted of a whole chicken, ribs, brisket, AND pulled pork with 3 large sides and 4 large drinks. That was perfect. The ribs were a bit salty, but they weren't too bad.

Order take out for 26 people. The food was hot and ready.. The food was excellent.

Brisket plate was awesome today! Service was good! Happy 4th!

I spent over $250 yesterday on take out and asked for sweet bbq sauce. Got 2 very small bowls. They are stingy with the sauce. I had so much meat and literally no sauce which ruins it because it's the sauce that makes it so good and special. I also received a jug of unsweetened tea when I order sweet. That really topped it off. No sauce and no sweet tea. We did manage as I had bbq sauce in my fridge.

Had a lunch gathering today (25 folks). The service was fantastic! They were quick all the orders were correct. They checked on us and we were still out within about an hour. Food was great too! Y’all DID better & i’m thrilled we will be visiting you again soon. My old review; First off I LOVE SONNY’s! I never knew it was a chain, I always thought it was just a yummy local place. (I lived in AZ and visited here) but our friends are visiting from out of town and haven’t had Sonny’s in YEARS. Drove 30 min to pick it up curbside, no issues, friendly staff. Of course we tipped. We drive 30 min back, warm the food, realize we’re missing our entire bag of cold food. We call for a refund. That manager can’t issue a refund? Nonsense! Tourist town, transient people, they aren’t going to spend another hour on the road for your mistake. Not even an apology, told her to call tomorrow to see if that manager can do anything…like she was being bothered by the complaint. I didn’t expect butts to be kissed, roses sent, a full refund etc…but come on Lynn Gaven Sonny’s Manager, maybe you take HER number and have the other manager call her because your employees caused a problem. just sayin, I won’t be doing curbside again. Still going to enjoy your deliciousness. Y’all can do better tho.

Flavor was pretty good. The quality not so much. Seemed like they gave us old ribs bc the texture was to tough throughout the slabs but the good parts were very good. Brisket was very good. Sausage was soso. Pulled chicken seamed old also and not much flavor. Bbq rice is not good at all. Hard rice and no flavor. Green beans,baked beans,and Potatoe salad was good. Spent 100$ and just wanted to get better/fresh quality food.

Pick up staff were excellent! Even though because they were extremely busy on Father's day and running around like crazy, everyone was calm and polite. That phone never stopped ringing! Great job everyone.

Always on point and incredibly fresh and yummy. Take note...the drinks cost 3,49 which is not unusual but makes chosing water a consideration to think about.

Sonny's is always hit or miss, this last visit was definitely miss and a waste of $60. The chicken was horrible, brisket was dry, ribs were tough. I realized when I buy food at 4 pm it's trash and if I get it after 7 it's really good.

I'm just visiting from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and I can say that this is one of the good places next time I come, I will eat here again and I'm here every other weekend. Trying new things, they have great food. Great atmosphere, great services. Great, everything, very good place.

Memorial day finally make it thru the drive thru order sweet Caroline pulled pork sandwich small baked beans lady in the window was pleasant handy me every left parked open the beans I promise you these beans was cold 🥶 then yu kno wat ,ok now let check the sandwich Luke warm just plan lazy incompetent, greed, what French toast bbq joint charges 20$ for a measly sandwich and cold bean SONNY BBQ BEEN AROUND A LONG FREAKING TIME SO I NO THEY SHOULD KNO BETTER, ALL THESE BLOOD SUCKIN LEACHES OF A RESTAURANT ARE RIDING THE WAVES OF PURE GREEED WHAT A SHAME .WOULD I GO BACK TO THIS DUMMP YES FOR A GLASS OF WATER.

I eat here quite often mostly for delivery but I had brisket and was expecting average and got absolutely awesome brisket. Ask for the burnt ends or the well done parts and they not only delivered but the meat quality and the taste and texture was as good as anything I've had in the South. Keep up the great work thank you very much.

Phone order didn't go thru and had paid on line and there were Lots of cars behind me as it was just lunch time. So I just left because I was flustered. Just won't ever pre order and pay online again. Wasted $27 and was still hungry for my BBQ

My fiance and I traveled 3 hours south to Southport Flordia. There wasn't much to see in Southport FL ,so we selected a hotel in Lynn Haven ,FL . We arrived after 8pm ,so we checked in our hotel , dropped our bags off and went out in search of food. We past Sonny's bbq outsids of our hotel and the aroma was pleasant. Upon our arrival the restaurant had a decent amount of guest finishing their meals. We were greeted and seated quickly and made our food choices. Within seconds our food came out we were very disappointed. We learned it was near closing time and we were seated without any notation that the establishment would be closing within 18 minutes, so I felt it was one of the moments where they didn't want to loose any money basically ,just serve them what we have left. They were out of pulled pork, baby back ribs and chicken, so we opted for St. Louis style ribs turkey and brisket. The brisket were pulled pieces of pure fat that was wrongly sliced and it mimic pulled pork. Everything was cold with the exception of our beans and my corn nuggets. We nibbled on our food and took the rest back to our hotel where we reheated the food in the microwave. The flavors were good and we actually enjoyed the food HOT!

Arrived @2pm.Server pleasant. Order came out in under 2 minute.Special served on old cold dry garlic bread at least a couple of hours old.Sliced pork was hard and dry.Sitting on a cutting board for a couple hours.French fries cold and old.Ask for hot fries, received refried old fries as replacement.What happened !!!!! Why???? Was very good last week.

Food isn’t that great. One of my favorite foods is fried okra. The okra here has an up charge and it’s over cooked. Fried okra shouldn’t be dried out. What a crock. Don’t get the okra.

OMG WHERE TO START! It is a Thursday and they are seriously out of everything! The only 3 meats left were chicken, turkey and baby back ribs. And most sides are gone. So we decide to just have drinks. Oh wait...no Titos..no Jim Beam. Seriously? This Sonny's need a new GM, or a new owner or something. We will not be back.

The food is great and everyone is friendly. We love going here. My only advice is for carryout orders. Always check your order before you leave! We've order carryout from here a handful of times and they have left something out twice. Definitely recommend if you're dining in though!

I don't know what's going on, if it's a local problem or a corporate problem. They changed the garlic bread on the sandwich. Fries are usually crispy and seasoned to soggy and no flavor. BBQ sauce was tangy versus being sweet. I know the difference because I eat the same meal everything and at least 3 times month sometimes more. Sonny's is one of my favorite restaurants. Service is always friendly , just bring back the right garlic bread and pay attention to the fries. BBQ sauce packaging is somewhat new but that's not the restaurant's fault.

Update: Had lunch with the girls. Our hometown fav. Didn't let us down. You know the Lynn Haven sonny's has a full service bar😉. So of course we had a couple of cocktails with our lunch. I had sliced pork with French fries and bbq beans,garlic toast. Man it was delicious. Service was on time and overtime😉. We had a blast. Come have a lunch or dinner. Great atmosphere. Prices are alot more fair than competition bbq joints. But I know "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR'. That's the way it should be. So go enjoy some bbq😉. 11/14/2023 My hubby and I had all you can eat baby backs. Totally AWESOME!!!!!

Very nice customer service people at this Sonny's BBQ restaurant in Lynn Haven, Florida. I was there early to buy their famous chicken salad to go. Lady got my order went in back to get it ready. All employees are great, they greeted me when I walked in the front door. Thanks Sonny's for a great experience.

went for lunch on Thursday and got the banana pudding to top off. it was wonderful. went last Saturday night for dinner and told my 2 table mates how good the banana pudding was, so we all 3 got it. not near as good as it was just days ago. less pudding and cookies. no banana chuncks on sat. nite but I thought I'd gotten then for lunch a few days before. kind of a let down.

This restaurant happens to be one of my favorite places to visit. They have amazing food and great service. So, if you are looking for some great BBQ for a great price, look no further than Sonny's BBQ. I highly recommend this restaurant

This place is so good 👍🏻 😍 but I needed to step it up the flavor with Doritos Dinaminta 😋 and cutting my chicken and French fries 🍟 and of course I put smokin ranch 😋 and I crushed up some of my chip and sprinkled it on so Sonny's if your reading this 😅 please put on menu and thank you.

Me and my mother both ate there yesterday and both of us got sick and was throwing up.

The salad bar is gone but they still have delicious salads.

It is a chain, so I expected better food, but the pulled pork was dry and the ribs were small and burned. And no water refill offer for the entire meal.

I have never had a bad experience here. we had amazing waitresses, I can not remember her name, but she was awesome 👏 she made sure to check in and didn't rush us and made sure drinks stayed filled I got the whole hog and a side salad and it was amazing.

Food was warm at best... pork bbq sandwich fatty and poorly prepared. Young lady that seated us was in a hurry even though the restaurant was not very busy. Server appeared to have better things to do . Sorry Sonny's no repeat business from this family.

Always a great place to meet family for a meal. Good food and family friendly atmosphere.

Every time I've went so far, I've gotten the burger combo. Every time, they ask what type of bread I want, and every time I ask for garlic bread. Every single time, I've had to walk into the restaurant to ask for them to give me the correct bread type. What's the point of asking if they won't listen? I didn't bother going in this time, but maybe I should've. The burger was especially bland this time, and fries were somehow burnt and undercooked at the same time. Id give 0/5 if I could.

The St. Louis ribs were absolutely the best I think I've ever had from sonnys. They are usually dry and over cooked. These were most tender and the flavor, right on spot.

Dined in for an early dinner with my grandkids. Ordered a BBQ pork sandwich with fries and it was delicious and the portions were great and food didn't take long to come out after placing my order. The staff was very friendly too ..my server was awesome... will return.

Got a to go order. 2 brisket dinners and a pulled pork sandwich and it was inedible. The brisket was dry DRY like leather and zero flavor. Green beans tasted like vinegar, Mac and cheese was wet like water wet and greasy, corn muffin was raw. Pulled pork was pure fat and French fries were raw. Wasted $60 on 3 dinners to save myself a night of cooking and had to cook anyways. Ordering and picking up was fine. 3 stars for atmosphere because the to go section always looks dirty it's dark like it's hiding something lol

The food was great tasting and plentiful portions. We're from Indiana and eat there every time we visit Florida. Service was excellent.

Did curbside takeout, they didn't come ro car for 14 minutes, went inside and picked it up. Dry rub ribs were more than dry, could make a belt out of them. Did have good wings.

We will NEVER give them our business again. We planned our sons first birthday party with them for over a month. We were supposed to have the back party room for the party and they gave the room away to a larger party. After we discussed it with the manager and he said they had a larger party and deserved it more than us and we would only get a handful of booths for our birthday. After expressing our frustration with the arrangement to the manager he told us he would ruin my sons birthday if he felt like it and then he would keep us from entering the building at all. We elected to just ditch the whole idea of Sonny’s and went to Pizza Hut instead, and they were very friendly and accommodating and gave us almost half the restaurant for the party. We used to eat there almost once a week and I’ve been dining at Sonny’s my entire life. We won’t ever go back.

Good food. They have some nice deals for joining their mailing list. Always treated well. Prices aren't too bad. Keep in mind, I'm pretty tight when it comes to money. ;) I could have done without that one bone in my pulled chicken that one time, though. That was scary.

The Wednesday special is so much food! And it was all delicious. My stomach was swelled fit tight to burst. But, I made it out with my "to go" tea. Once my belly has healed from a healthy stretchin, I'll be back. Gotta have more dry rub ribs!

Got their Thursday wing deal for $10 bucks. They brought them quickly and I was pleasantly surprised how good they were.

Sonny's has the best smoked turkey and brisket. Loved the corn nuggets. Everything was excellent. We went just before closing and our server was super nice. I wish we had a Sonny's in Virginia locations !

For a chain place the food is awesome.

I came in one morning and everything seemed fine and was enjoying my meal until my wife and I heard what sounded like meowing coming from the kitchen. Followed by air horn sounding noises. A little weird to say the least. The food and service was still great like always just didn’t enjoy the childish noises.

Meat and all sides cold. Been eating sonnys on 390,beach and lynn haven all my life. Beach was ruined by poor service. 390 location closed, was one of the best in the 90s. Lynn haven was good, now going down . Hate to see it. Very poor management.

The food was excellent and most enjoyable. I ordered a slab of ribs, but disappointingly, received what appeared to be a ½ slab, upon food arrival. When questioned regarding this; I was, then, told by the server, that ribs were sold by weight not slabs... ( my issue: had I been informed of this @ the time I placed my order, I could have ordered something different or requested a larger serving, if available.) Instead, I felt somewhat deceived. I did not want to return the order, (never like the inconvenience of returning food), besides that, it looked nicely prepared. I left w/out feeling completely satisfied. Was it not for the fact, that the employee informed us that he was "newly hired," that would have been my "1st & last visit." We, therefore, made an exception and will return. Noted: ( I always order a full slab, whenever ordering ribs; love having the other half for a later time).

I have eaten st Sonny's many, many times. Tonight I ordered sliced pork because it tends to be less fatty than the chopped or pulled. My plate came with more fat than pork. The fries came almost raw. They were warm but had absolutely no color. My husband ordered his extra crispy and his were better, but still could have improved with another minute or two in the flyer. I can't understand why anyone should have to ask for fries to be cooked. The ribs were fine.

This Lynn Haven location never disappoints. Always consistently good food and service.

Chicken strips so over cooked child couldn't be eat them

To start, I'm a bit of a BBQ snob from Texas. We got a takeout order; the staff was kind and courteous. The chicken was tasty but very small, looked more like a Cornish game hen. The beans tasted like they came out of a can. The cold slaw was very good, made onsite. The brisket was tender, but bland with no smoke ring. In all honesty it was just ok.

Staff is friendly, courteous, and prompt. Food is delicious overall. Sauces are generally sweet. Meats are all well overcooked.
